55 of 55 · most liked firstI personally love Tower Defense games, something about protecting my tower (or king in this game's case) really appeals to me. It has all your typical Tower defense offerings, towers to help with defense (sniper, tar, cal-traps, soldiers etc,) you can also purchase spells between stages which will give your hero the advantage in the upcoming stage. I was quite impressed by the game, and found myself drawn to it and it's very simplistic gameplay. Onion Force makes for a nice casual game play…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onion Force is an addictive tower defense hybrid with a unique spin and a lot of fun to be had. General Gameplay Onion Force combines the elements of tower with some light action features which sets it apart from most other games in the genre. The gameplay is true to most TD games, you can place towers that’ll do different things such as attack and heal but the unique thing about Onion Force is the use of a hero to help repel enemies. You have three heroes to choose from: Warrior, Bowman and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly expected to go into this game thinking there would be a lot of stupid and crude humor for some reason but I gave it a shot anyways. The humor is actually very well placed and comes from the side character, Lady D, who pops up in the top of the screen and also gives hints or tips about levels when needed. As for the game itself I honestly loved every minute of it. The game is very challenging and really requires you to grind and strategize especially if you want to replay each level…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Tower-Defense Game https://youtu.be/ls6HdnrxFdI + Each level is pretty challenging and actually feels rewarding each time you complete a stage (even on Easy) + Interesting items and abilities you can use to alter your attacks + 3 different classes to play as, but it also allows you to just level up your favorite + A sort of unique mechanic where you can run into enemies to deal damage or shoot them from range + The music / soundtrack is so silly, but I found it very amusing + Stripper fairy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short Version: Onion Force is a Tower-Defense style game that lets you control your hero to add to the defense with spells, arrows, or plain old bump-a-guy-to-damage melee action. PRO: It's a simple, fun little mobile port of an action-TD hybrid. CON: It feels very much like a simple, fun little mobile port. Onion Force is... well, incredibly average for this type of tower-defense game, which really isn't such a bad thing. It offers 30 levels across 6 environments, which is about the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onion Force offers a lot of challenging, hectic, and fun gameplay. The levelling system and game design is awesome and refreshing for fans of tower defense games. I've found myself doing levels over and over again trying new strategies to get perfect victories or more stars. I highly recommend this game to anyone interested in tower defense games. It's extremely addicting and enjoyable to play. I'm a huge fan of the three character system. I'm mainly been using the Bowman and when I died to one…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is terrible. I couldn't think of any pros for it at all, no redeeming qualities and absolutely the world art style possible. It's a style at least but it is not visually appealing. *Controls are terrible, we have 2 mouse buttons for a reason *Gameplay is unengaging *There is so much here in terms of genre the game doesn't know what it is *Aiming is truly hit and miss from the top down perspective and no aiming crosshair *The Game is also geared to be so very hard that basically it's…

Can't wait to see how the new improvements affect gameplay! KUDOS to Queen Bee! I think you've got a great future ahead of you! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It took me a few minutes to get used to the controls but once I did I found it very addicting! Super fun, cute artwork, challenging but not impossible. If you're a fan of tower defence, you will love this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deceptively difficult, sickeningly adorable, and loads and loads of fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-JR362tmRk
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Action TD + power ups + 3 heroes = A wacky and addictive TD. Build towers and crash into monsters trying to harm the king. Don't forget that healing tent. 8 towers, 6 maps and various difficulties. [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/] Follow our curator for similar games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's somewhat fun, although rather buggy. Some upgrades wouldn't work, and occassionally the game would just minimize from full screen into a small box for no apparent reason. Full controller support is a bit of an overstatement as well; controls are clunky and you can only use the D-Pad, not the analog stick to control your character. Tutorial doesnt factor in the controller either. The art style of the game isn't too bad I guess. It's also pretty funny ramming your character into enemies…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This tower defense game has some really awesome features to it that makes the game incrediably playable! Great lvling up system, great selection of classes, and some nice item drops. I find the game suprisingly difficult, trying to race around to grab coin to lvl up your towers while avoiding death. Most tower defense games I've played you just kinda stood there and waited around like an idiot this one is much more ACTION PACKED!!!! Great job guys!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game ultimately disappointed me. I was excited at first because of the goofy premise and the fun (albeit sometimes disturbing) art style, but what I got was a disorganized mess of a game with frustrating controls in spite of the good ideas it has. The game is a Tower Defense at its core, where you are able to build towers in predetermined locations. You control a hero (there are three total with slightly different playstyles) to fight them off. However, the mode of movement is weird.…

You have the choice of using 1 of 3 heroes - a warrior (tank), bowman (ranged damage), or a wizard (ranged AoE damage). You can start with any of the 3 at the beginning of a map, and can swap in another if you happen to die before you finish it. You're also given stars for completing maps, which can be used unlock and upgrade different types of towers to place. Clearing maps also gives…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lu-v8Z4KpJ4 This game is definitely worth a look ! Super fun cross between a tower defense game and a beat-em-up. The harder levels are super challenging and extends the game time, with a load a replayability. Using the different 'heroes' makes you think about the play-style you use and adds to the fun. Definitely a good casual game that you get what you pay for. 8/10 would play again - Big Fams Gaming
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is definitely one of the better tower defense games i've played in years. My favorite part of it so far is the ability to swap characters instead of game over when one character is knocked out. Definitely could use keyboard controls, but that's a minute nitpick. Other than that, i would definitely recommend this game 9.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Checked out Onion Force because they gave me a code to look at it. It's a pretty basic Tower Defense game mixed with RPG aspects. Not really my type of game, and there seemed to be some bugs with the controls. Several times in the 30 minutes I played, my character went in the wrong direction, or just off the screen. In additoin, gameplay is very confusing, with no real tutorial or anything. I do like the fact that you can choose between fighter, bowman, and wizard... and each levels up the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun mobile styled game for the PC. Interesting concept, you build, attack and advance! But if you always play on the easy mode you will not upgrade as the stars you collect from the levels you play on help advance your abilities and structures. Have a go, I'm sure you will not cry!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some people here are complaining but they are just acting like babies. One of the bad reviews is from a guy who has logged more than 400 hours on Clicker Hereos. ANYWAY, yes this game is challenging ... VIDEOGAMES ARE USUALLY CHALLENGING. This isn't color a dinosaur. Where the game really shines is in it's art style (which is better than other tower defense games out there). It's got a Cow and Chicken/ Ren and Stimpy art style which is pretty original in this day of boring, unimaginitive art…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Onion Force to anybody who is a fan of games that are cute, challenging, and hectic! I am not a massive fan of "tower defense" games, but this one really hit the spot for me! Its deceptive difficulty, and visual charm really impressed!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was going through my list of games and remembered I played Onion Force right when it came out. Checked the store page just to see if there were any updates or news. I can't believe this game has so few reviews. THIS IS A SUPER FUN TOWER DEFENSE GAME AND YOU SHOULD SUPPORT THE DEVELOPERS FOR THEIR CREATIVE FUN TWIST ON THE TD GENRE. I hope they make a sequel. THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing! I passed it up to the end and had a lot of fun. The plot rocks! I mean, it really rocks! Yes, we are saving the world and blah-blah-blah, but one just must see *how* we are doing this! With tons of humor and bombs we are charging through jaw-dropping insanity, risking our lives, and our fairy-boss is constantly telling us some fancy nonsense. That's the atmosphere. As to gameplay - it changes *dramatically* with time. You are given three heroes and that's not for…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After playing for a while I decided to write a review about this game! Now once I got this game I didnt "expect" a lot from it considering it was a tower defense game, but boy was I wrong! Once I downloaded the game I had the time of my life! First of all its not one of these boring tower defense games, you also need to fight! Animations are smooths, fps is good only thing that isnt the best is that you cant go full screen but it doesnt matter. The game has good music, and AWESOME gameplay. It…

I actually already reviewed this game a month ago but that was based off of the demo version and this review is based off of the full release. For the record, I played…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok yeah haven't played that long but its not hard to make up my mind on how good this game is. the controls down right suck . your hero keeps running in the direction you last clicked no way to make them sit still unless you want to attack which uses energy to do. the movement system needs a complete rework. the game is only as playable as the controls allow so a good UI is one of the most important things. now don't get me wrong i have played games that the UI was crap but the game was still…

unlabelledView post →Played this game for about 2 1/2 hours. Here's my take on it. First off, I'm not a huge tower defense fan. I've always found them kind of stale. So when I got this game I wasn't expecting too much. However, the way this game is designed doesn't feel like a tower defense; it's more of an ARPG mixed with tower defense. The hybrid part the developer says they were going for works. The limited inventory isn't surprising, forcing you to pick and choose what your three heroes can use. There's some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just to nitpick on the bad things (while I work through this game): The build-modal that pops up when you run too close stuff is annoying, but the real problem is that you can't close it by pressing escape, which will open the "quit level"-modal on top of the the build-modal. If nothing else get's fixed in this game, I personally need that escape button to close the open modal without opening a new one. Seriously. Visibility issues. This is a pet peeve of mine. I hate running in the dark…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great tower defense and twin stick hybrid. Perfect at price point. Highly recommended if you are a fan of the genre or in search of a action focused pick up and play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quirky and a fairly decent little action/ tower deferense game. It has some impressive character animations, with blurry textures. The gameplay translates into a multi-hybrid of different ideas and playstyles. It has its fun factor. The team seemed to have love put into the game so be sure to give it a try if you enjoy Tower defense games. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like it; it's not perfect, but it's just original enough to feel fresh. My biggest issue with this game is the kind of weird balance so far. The difficulty is kind of all over the place. One level is soo easy it's boring, the next is almost not possible without first getting some upgrades. Same inside levels, one wave is too easy, the next almost makes it through, the next 2 hardly have time to get on the map... Still, I completely recommend this game to anyone looking for a little spin on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The art is quirky and adorable in professional quality, same with the music/sound effects. The level of quality reminds me of an early 90s cartoon aesthetic. Definitely fun as you run at enemies in addition to creating tower elements and it is satisfying being rewarded for direct aggression in a strategy-heavy game. Will play again until the repetition gets boring like most tower/idle/repeat-level games, but there's a variation of difficulty settings so might be a while till that happens.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game for free and I still feel like I've been robbed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disclaimer: Product received for free for reviewing purposes Let’s take it from the start. Onion Force is not something super innovative when it comes to its genre, but its image is enough to attract fans of tower defense games. A very interesting cartoon style, good music and enough content that will keep you busy until the credits. Queen Bee Games has made a game that you should definitely try out. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, this is rather simple, but it is pretty fun. Cons to this game: Bad UI = The ui obstructs your vision of the map, and i often have to pause the game just to see under the pixies text-boxs. Gear explanations: There are basic and unique gear you can find, and.... a lot of them feel like they have zero effect, but... they are still special. Any information would have been welcome. Very little customization = you level, and your stats go up. You only get 1 equipment slot Easy game to =…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onion force is a unique kind of Tower defense games that combines itself with some rpg elements, it llooks cute, plays very well and has lots of content to offer, you'll be going through increasingly difficult levels, all 30 of them you'll have an absolute blast playing. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game after watching a youtube video on it. It's definitely really fun and it's deeper than it might seem. I am digging the unqiue graphics and the music a ton! I wish there was more characters to choose from, just because I'd love to see what else they could come up with it's just a cool style that you don't see often in games. As far as game-play goes, I played around with both WASD and controller and personally preferred it on controller, but that's usually my preference…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game, was confused at first on how to reload arrow as the bow man but after a few minute of play i figured it out. Runs really smooth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this game is a neat platform style game that incorporates more action into a tower defense style game. This game is a lot of fun! When I stream this game my viewers love to give me all kinds of flack because I still have yet to get past level four. Nice to see a game with a challenge!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/eSdjuuhjV0A Mixing action and tower defense can work but in this situation the character stamina system combined with very limited tower placements results in an underwhelming gameplay loop.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onion Force is a 2D Tower Defence game in which you take possession of one of three heroes, a warrior/tank, a wizard/AoE and an archer/DPS, and you have to defend your king from a multitude of enemies. Being able to destroy and get money from objects that litter the map is a cool idea. Each character has two bars, a health bar and a stamina bar, stamina is used when they attack and health is used when they run into enemies. The warrior doesn't have an attack move, so they shouldn't have a…
