What is more - it is made by some people who did ones of the best classical edutainment adventure titles in history, those by Cryo Interactive. In 'Marco Polo', the edutainment component is kept at minimum, as well as the story, but they both are still present, and combined with some pretty visuals it makes a nice little historical adventure. Too bad it is not as big as those good old ones, but it is still…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice format with a mix of tasks, but the whole game can be played in an hour or so, with no variation. Not worth the money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →point-and-click adventure game in which you follow Marco Polo on his journey along the Silk Road, solving puzzles, and uncovering events based on historical facts ✅Good graphics ✅Pleasant, atmospheric soundtrack ✅Interesting historical information about technologies imported from China ❌The hint system is poorly designed – it reveals subsequent objectives but omits key steps needed to complete them ❌Unsatisfying puzzles ❌Rich backgrounds make finding interactive objects difficult ❌Limited…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game. Remind me 'Ween The prophecy' and the good old times of clic based adventure games, with a bit of 'search the item' style of games. Nice ambiance and arts. To the guy who feel it's too short: at this price, i wouldn't expect the game to have 30 hours of gameplay. And if you take time to search instead of using help, it may be more interesting and with a longer play time it think :) Thanks for this nice journey !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but sweet. Only buy if it's on a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL/DR This is a good game for: People that love point and click games People that want to love point and click, but are not good at them People interesting in the subject of Marco Polo or the Silk Road LONGER This is a well-designed and executed point and click game. I am NOT GOOD at point and click games but in this one, there is just enough logic in each sequence to figure it out. The in-game help system is also well designed. The in-game help system is well thought out, and only…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and pretty adventure game. Straightforward, solid and well done. Very light combo of hidden object, point-and-click adventure and infotainment. Here's a link to my video review of the game for JustAdventure.com: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3r8oPWJW1u0
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Darn, this was really shorter than I had hoped. I had a lot of fun with it, and I love the educational aspect of it with the little historical artifacts and factoids. It feels like a pretty nostalgic point and click, would have enjoyed it even more if I was like 10-12 again, haha. I liked all the item gathering and I didn't get frustrated at all---hm, sans waning moon puzzles! Those take a lot of time! Definitely buy it if it goes on a super sale! Nice little stocking stuffer for people who…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great game indeed, kind of like hidden objects type of game. But what i really like about this game is the history, the historical accuracy information provided, along with the story it self seems to be accurate. We all want more games with accurate and relevant information.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a very nice, short and enjoyable HOG that is worth trying. the game is very simple and not difficult. i would describe it as casual HOG. pros. nice graphics pretty nice story ok voice acting (where they talked) cons. short (almost 2 hours for the main story) no bonus story there was one spot where an item was hidden in a very dark area where you cannot see it a lot of text to read despite being very short i really enjoyed it. the story is nice and not too murky. i recommend it. i give it…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could have and should have been better technically, graphically and story.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Way too short, easy puzzles, and silly storyline.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/FiMYrgWlE8w Half hidden object / half adventure this game adds up to less than the sum of it's parts as the story cannot keep up with the gameplay and each feels add odds with the other.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very short but quite pleasurable casual point-and-click adventure with a few frustrations. The story is remarkably loyal to the book (actually called “Book of the Marvels of the World”) and the narrative and dialog surprisingly immersive, enhanced by wonderfully drawn graphics, all well researched and educational. There are a few hidden-object scenes (I think just 2 or 3) and several nice medium-difficulty puzzle mini-games. Frustrations are due to the click zones being extremely small.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →when i first booted up Marco Polo, i thought it was nothing more than an ancient game. unbeknownst to me, this game CHANGED my life. as i booted it up, and its graceful music greeted my ears with a solemn symphony, i had found that not only was i a direct descendant of Marco "the goat" Polo- I was a reincarnation. Memories, flooding back to me, I had finally remembered my purpose. I knew every. single. solution. The very iconic spider chasing mini-game, is in fact lore accurate. I, Marco…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a bad game, but there are way better hidden object games out there.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Real talk for a moment. I've got 5,000 hours in Oxygen Not Included. 1,300 hours in Surviving Mars. So, when I say this game is a masterpiece, you need only look at the hours I've played, and that it's my fifth highest played game of all time, to know, this game means business. Don't let the MS-DOS era graphics fool you, this will challenge you like no other. If you watch the trailer, you might notice it asking if you were ready to face the danger. I thought I was ready, and yet, over 250…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's just fine. Entertaining, with not very difficult puzzles, but it's a very short game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Adventure - WC - Walk Clicker Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Sluggish engine. Hint system gives full solution with missing details leaving you stuck. Generic marco polo setting. Crazy pixelhunting to find items for puzzles. This is about as generic as it gets. You are some non descript explorer fending off to adventure. You have to pick up tiny objects scattered around the pre-rendered 3D scenes and apply them to their proper hotspots to engage with…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is short and good. game is running in low performance but it is playable
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Travels of Marco Polo promises a journey along the fabled Silk Road, a grand adventure of discovery. Unfortunately, it delivers little more than a brief, forgettable stroll through a series of dusty rooms. For its first act, the game shows a glimmer of potential. The references to Marco Polo's famous book, Il Milione, are many, and whoever is familiar with the book would appreciate them. But as soon as you start to get invested, the game abandons its historical roots for a baffling,…

Here is my simple choose-your-own adventure style game, inspired by the Travels of Marco Polo and aiming to teach some Chinese 成语expressions. m-hosek.github.io/polo/
unlabelledView post →A clever blending of point and click puzzler with a hidden object game. Added to the mix are interesting bits of historical trivia. The graphics are just ok since you basically move from one static image to the next. The hidden objects are small at times (pixel hunting sometimes required), but for the most part make sense. The music and voice acting are pretty generic, but I enjoyed them. The puzzles are pretty standard, but I did need the Help and Hint buttons just to learn the rules of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Travels of Marco Polo is a gentle, story-driven adventure game that places narrative, atmosphere, and historical curiosity above mechanical complexity or challenge. Developed by Totem Studio and published by Plug In Digital, the game presents itself as an interactive retelling of one of history’s most famous journeys, inviting players to experience Marco Polo’s legendary travels through a series of illustrated scenes, light puzzles, and narrated moments. Rather than aiming to simulate…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's old school, re-rendered and fun. A great leftover of the 1990's !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a run of the middle hidden object/puzzle game. While there's nothing wrong with it, it is a little short and uninspired. I can't really recommend this given the $10 price tag, but if it goes on sale steeply then it might be worth considering for fans of hidden object games. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, and as it is it just a little too old and a little too short and unpolished for me to recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game, but get it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice hidden object game with a few not to easy puzzles. Story is nice, but just when you get into it THE END appears.
