This is very disappointing to me as it's hard to grasp what your objective is or where you are trying to go. - Point & Click puzzles can be very vague…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed this short puzzle game. It took me two hours to complete to 100% but you could do it in no time by following the walkthrough they provide. I did need to use the walkthrough a few times so it certainly isn't easy. The difficulty level is just about right I would say as I felt quite chuffed when I actually worked things out without cheating. I would say the normal price is a bit steep perhaps. I bought it on a 50% sale and I would say that's about right. I could have asked for a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm guessing this was made for mobile phones since its just random clicking to find what you can interact with. It have no actual story beyond a letter in each chapter. It is a very basic find and combine objects game. I would not recommend this even to casual beginners.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Escape the Past is an escape game in the most traditional sense of the genre. The game lacks storytelling devices beyond the letters you collect through each level. The presentation stays true to the genre. However, the most important aspect of the game is its puzzles and the method in which they have been incorporated into the game. In this aspect, 3DDUO have achieved a high level of success. Consequently, I have no qualms in recommending the game to fans of the genre. Non-genre fans may not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short, what started out intriguing eventually ended with me feeling frustrated and irritated. It reminded me at times of the worst parts of old point and click adventure games. The art was well drawn, but the interact-able items are poorly indicated, so you end up wandering around clicking all over the screen to pick things up. It's easy to miss items of importance that can be small and hidden. There is no meaningful audio or music. The in game text does not well sign post the next step, and I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Escape the Past is a rather short and simple adventure game with basically no story whatsoever. Despite this (I mean having no story in an adventure game is a rather serious issue) the game is something that could be called a relaxing experience for roughly about 2 hours while it lasts. The game consists of 4 chapters and our goal is to escape or leave a mysterious island, where apparently 'time does not pass and every day is the same'. Unfortunately there aren't any introduction or cutscenes,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game starts as a quite goodish escape puzzle, but eventually displays a number of unforgivable flaws : some hotspots do not give user any feedback while all the others do. That makes the game unsolvable via logic and ruins the whole point of puzzling.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game made no sense with neither the story nor the gameplay at times. Visually pleasing but little to no story.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spicy lasagna in your backdrop. You wanna get rid of it but you can't because melted cheese is stuck to the walls. Well actually you can just remove it from your library...

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →simple game. very short. art is ok. there is no story telling or any voice acting or anything. you just need to "escape" the place you are at by clicking around and find A to do B. there are 4 "chapters" which can be beaten in less than an hour i actually enjoyed it. i recommend it 5/10 for the game +1 for the cards =6/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/NgbJHWjKs9c This could be the dictionary definition for a standard point and click adventure game. Pixel hunt around for loose object to use or combine in various places with minor puzzle solving. No element stands up as a gameplay pillar to rally around to pull the experience up past a soft average.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice little puzzle game. Walkthrough link is also provided in the game menu so you can't get stuck :) Thumbs up, although I wouldn't buy it at retail price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't recommend. Chapter 3 is super bugged and I restarted the chapter/reset my save so many times I lost count and it still didn't work. Super frustrating. Updated review: I'm still not sure I recommend this game, but I did manage to figure out the bug I was experiencing in Chapter 3 with the potions. I think it may be less a bug and more user confusion. I wish the instructions had been easier to understand. Putting the crystals in the vials in the opposite order from what I expected seems…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is okay. You just need to find items and interact with things. It should be 100% translated. I could not understand the letters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Left the iron on, still beat it. Shirt looks like a waffle now, worth it. Puzzles solved by steam power, story hits harder than grandma’s slipper. Would thumb up my own forehead if Steam let me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Escape The Past, developed by 3DDUO and published by Fun4Family and Plug In Digital, is a quiet, surreal point-and-click adventure that places atmosphere and symbolism above complexity or challenge. While it initially presents itself as a traditional escape-style puzzle game, it quickly reveals a more introspective direction, using its environments and mechanics as a way to explore memory, identity, and personal reflection rather than simply testing problem-solving skills. The game begins with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have to say this is pretty bad. The first chapter is OK and makes some sense, but the second one goes a bit off the rails logic-wise and the third chapter has a bug which didn't let me progress past it. Short, unmemorable, and skippable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Essentially an escape adventure game, “Escape the Past” consists of four scenarios that you need to resolve to leave an unknown island where your main protagonist became stranded. Game consists of static hand-drawn-styled screens where you need to pick objects and uncover clues, which you then use to solve puzzles that unlock your way forward. Music, though somewhat subdued, is good and fits the scenes well; graphics have a nice touch, but the problem is that some corners are quite dark and it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good game for those who love short games with easy achievements. I didn't experience any bugs and was fun to play. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun4family says it all. Good game to spend some puzzle time with the kids. The game has 4 episodes and the goal is to escape by finding objects and solving puzzles. The story (?) is presented in 3 parts of a note you have to find in each episode. And in each episode you can also discover 5 crystals. There are no hidden object scenes or cutscenes. Simple and basic, don't pay too much for this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →played it a bit, had a glitch on the final chapter. i used the key on the door and nothing happens, DOOR STUCK. the puzzels are okay but the gameplay itself is boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not bad game, simple and little short but you don't need to invest to much time in it :) Also have great, well crafted art style.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was okay, but I didn't really get into the "flow" with it, nor felt any real satisfaction with completing the few puzzles within. Found "Escape from Mystwood mansion" much more engaging, and available discounted at a similar price point.

I probably left the game running accidentally. TL:DR Fun game, good price. Get it. This is one of the few escape room games that I found entertaining and fun, not too much of a brain buster but entertaining enough to just have fun. It is also very easy to 100% all achievements as well.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh, nice story, aproximatelly 2 hours of plaing or so, thanks for nuts. good for thinking.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Escape The Past 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a mostly decent point & click adventure game. You navigate different 2D scenes that you view from what I assume is the protagonist's POV, akin to most Hidden Object Games. However, unlike HOGs, this game does have an emphasis on actual puzzle solving instead of just locating random objects. The game is split into four episodes/chapters, all directly connected to each other. Interestingly, the game has a feature that measures the time you spend to finish each chapter. I don't think…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a pretty basic game and on a shorter side. Not bad but not that great either.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horrible little game with very minimal effort by the author. I have never played the full game due to disinterest. I would not waste your time or money on it.
