positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →MY RATING: ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✘ ✘ ✘ ✘ ✘ 5 / 10 Nephise, which also comes from developer Tonguç Bodur and this time is more of a mix between a walking sim, a simple puzzle game and an adventure. However, each of these features are so lacking that it is somehow none of these things. Of course, the core aspect, as he himself says, is the atmosphere and, as so often before, he has actually captured that quite well. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3112332824 The area in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool little walking simulator, think of this game as a short bedtime story. If that's not your cup of tea, this game also has achievements which are easy to unlock and the game itself takes about 30 mins to beat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and sweet, but comes to an abrupt end. Lovely graphics, and slow walking to enjoy it. Once you know what to do it is easily finished in 30 mins. I didn't know what to do, hence my time! :) Buy on sale if you like walking sims with puzzles attached. I've played many worse games. 6/10.

Nephise went in a cave. Nephise touched a glowing guy and he died. Nephise wants another drink of ale. Game Over. --- I've literally just summed up the entire game for you, including the narration. 1. Game is a walking simulator that doesn't even let you jog/run, it's just a slow walk through the woods. 2. It has constant narration that just tells you…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nephise is a fairly basic Unreal asset flipped first person horror adventure, one of many hundreds, if not thousands of these glutting Steam. The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unreal Marketplace packs, arranged them haphazardly in a first person adventure game template, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. The developer is a repeat offender, having dumped dozens of very lazy Unreal asset flips, all very similar, where you wander around Unreal Marketplace asset…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nephise's great! It's short, genius and absolutely hilarious. Kudos to the narrator too because she makes the game. It's very hard to find authenticity nowadays and this woman is fantastic! Many times I stopped to think about how simple and clever this game's puzzles are - so so fun to do! Honestly, I cannot find anything negative to say about this game so I'm confused by the mixed reviews. Personally, when I feel disenchanted by the walking simulator world I jump unto one of Tonguc's games and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before I played this... I had a small wee wee, no friends, no girlfriend, depression and absolutely no will to live. None of these things have changed, but the game is pretty good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play as Nephise, an adventurer who explores forests, valleys, and ruins for precious orbs of light. Traverse a small forested area, rotate the statues, and somehow convince the giant wolf to leave so you can reach the precious cave entrance they are hiding. 20+ minutes to complete; Nephise was honestly a bit boring. The story itself and the ending is very weird; the only pro I can really think of is that the area is very nice to walk around in and take screenshots of. Even for the games cheap…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →41st completed ✔️ game of 2025. #Nephise was a short tale about a lady and some Ale 🍺 check it out if you get a chance.
unlabelledView post →Very short casual walking simulator, featuring snow-covered valley, statues puzzle to solve, bonus orbs to collect and the funniest parody at a bossfight I’ve seen in a long while, and where the biggest challenge is to get yourself oriented in the landscape because there is no map or compass. Truth be told this piece feels more like a demo or proof-of-concept test rather than a full game; but the graphics, while rudimentary, are not really bad, and the accompanying music is surprisingly nice…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks nice, music is lovely. Very chill extremely short walking sim/ puzzle experience. Follow along with a young orb collector as she gets ripped in the local tavern and proceeds to decimate an unsuspecting paranormal force with her raw orbular prowess.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Owkay, I have played plenty of Bodur's games and I purchased this with only 22 cents and completed it around in half an hour meaning that I had circa 1.5 minutes of content per cent. I can say it was ok, but there is not any feature that would be somewhat remarkable, so the game feels, meh and flat. There is so many better walking sims nowadays in Steam and ironically the dev himself is partly the reason, for Bodur's games have gotten so much better after this. Thus if I were you I'd look for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its one of those games the developer can prove they know how to make a game. Thanks to Unity the graphics are okay. It took me 36 minutes to beat. I got it on sale, no big deal, but not really worth buying.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This might be the worst Badur game I have ever played. I have only been able to write positive reviews for two of them so far (education and Pluviophile) but none of the others were such a chose to play. The world of Nephise is bland and boring and so lifeless. It's no joy to explore. Additionally the walking speed is SOOOOOOO DAAAAAAAMN SLOOOOOOOW that I look up a guide for the "puzzle" because I would have just ended the game if I had to go back to one of the statues. There is also no goal…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →20 minutes of gameplay. Pretty alright graphics. A sleepy pupper. Story? Shallow and almost non-existent. Character got drunk, so a plus in some people's books. Puzzles? Eh, decent, but could have been way better with minimal work and effort. Collecting? Too easy, map was quite small so finding the orbs was fast and not hard. Wouldn't say this game was a good use of my time, so therefore I do not recommend it. The Wolf was adorable though, so I give them that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend this game to other players. I completed this completed this game in 35 minutes or so with 100% achievements (all 3 out of 3! Fancy, eh?). I purchased it for a little less than $1.33 after receiving a coupon from a random badge drop. I hemmed and hawed after reading the mixed reviews. I added it to my cart and removed it several times on different days. Then I called myself silly for making a big fuss over a game that was less than $2 to begin with and finally bought it.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have a few walking-sims by Tonguç Bodur so it's not as if I don't appreciate his work. But this title, unfortunately, definitely gets a non-recommend from me. There are a few issues why. First, he includes a puzzle which, although I'm not opposed to, exists solely to lengthen play time by ten-fold (and the game only takes an hour or less). There is no exploration, you merely walk around a circular gulley over and over to figure out the "puzzle." It's repetitive and ridiculous. If your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/9686972/]Follow "First Person Exploration and Puzzle Games" for more games like this! An extremely short walking-simulator with not a lot going for it. You walk around two environments, which consist mainly of copy+pasted assets, while a narrator reads from poorly written dialog. There is a single, extremely poorly-designed puzzle to solve. The game takes about 15 minutes to beat, with no save-function. On the plus side, the menus are…

Very recommended if you want to relax and want a change for a short while! P.S. You can't pet the 'puppy' unfortunately 😪
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is pretty, but i don't understand it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a few questions about the wolf's size at first, but at the end, those questions disappeared. It was a short walk in the snowy forest at a slack pace with a repeating melody — neither bad nor good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels like you're playing someone's collage project that was mostly focused on the 3D environment and just scraped a story together to call it a game and sell it for a few cents.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a drink, explored a cold winter forest, found a cave full of crystal meth. Best hour of my life 10 outta 10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A little puzzle game. Nice for a short play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a beautiful, calm and relaxing walking simulator with light narration, an easy puzzle (yes, one) and some stuff to collect. it's not special in any way but then again there is nothing wrong with it either. you can't save at all but that's sort of ok since finishing and 100% completing the game took 30 minutes. after that i even had to do some waiting for the trading cards to drop. if you like the looks of it i guess it's safe to say that you should either get all three nephise games at…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was a lovely short game even tho i was confused at first because the tale said that there are statues all over the place. I think it would've been more logical if you had to go to the bell first so you can get why you gotta do this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a stupid game and i like it :P Get it on sale !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having to describe " Nephise ", I'll say that it's a short exploration game, with some narration and puzzle elements. There's not much to do, in the end; I've spent my time looking around the places I've encountered (which I've found quite pleasant), and then solved the puzzle in order to proceed with the story. It was overall a simple experience. Nonetheless, I've enjoyed a fairly nice time. If you plan on trying the game out, though, I'd recommend getting it when it's at least 50% off, as…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You seriously walk around in a small environment, turning 4 statues in the right direction.. takes 30 minutes.. that's it.. Knew it was short.. but was hoping to at least get 1h30m of feel good out of it.. nothing of that.. only bored frustration.. at least that only lasted 30 minutes
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hiding in the dark is more fun than hide and seek especially when the monster breathes down your neck.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OK. So, Nephise... The concept is great for relaxing. However... Let's just say the graphics killed my gaming laptop. I think this is one of the worst optimised games I've seen in a simple walking simulator. I admit it's a calming game. But it's literally unplayable in my case. Naturally, for the price I didn't expect anything incredible, but it could have done better. Overall, I'd give it a 3/10, just because I think it has potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dont waste your dollar Story: pretty bad. Literally the first thing the narrator says is "Nephise is an orb collector" and it's never brought up again or explained what that means. The "boss fight" is literally just a glowing white texture-less character that just stands there and dies when you touch him. Then the plot twist at the end is "It WaS aLl A dReAm." Then there's the inexplicably giant wolf that isn't explained in any capacity, the collectible orbs that again aren't explained in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nephise is a truly a "short and atmospheric puzzle game" on top of being very soothing. The scenery is beautiful and the sound is just relaxing. The story and puzzle to it is very simple, however would recommend for price ( If your are not sure just get it on sale, which I got for $0.33 ). Can be completed in under one hour and the achievements are as easily obtainable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice little game for the price. Got it for 33% off and I'd say it was worth the 60cents. Mysterious towards the end and had a nice twist.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really beautiful walking simulator where you riddles and collectable pages. It takes less than an hour to complete

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short walking simulator with a cute puzzle with shivering graphics. I bought it to support small scale independent game developers
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adventure Time with Tonguç I know what you're thinking but, it's true, this one is NOT a walking simulator! The 5th in the Bodur canon, Nephise is a short (super short! 15 mins tops) adventure game. What I mean by that is, most walking simulators involve a great deal of walking, some confusing narration, and a subversive ending. Atmosphere and pathos are key. But in this sweet little winter jaunt, we get none of that. Well, maybe, a little bit. Itty bitty. What we DO get are hallmarks of an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short walking simulator, something like a deeper experiment with the technology. Graphics is realy nice with many details. Realy a small game but cute. There is a funny twist in the end.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3 minutes in and I have a headache, even after disabling the headbob. It's a shame, it looks really beautiful and the OST seems really good. But I can't play a game that gives me headaches.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This walking sim takes about 30 minutes to get through, once you figure out the statues (They need to face a certain direction, but their face is turned sideways, so at a 90 degree angle from the rest of their bodies. It took me a while to backtrack all of them once I realized the game goes off the direction of their actual face, not their entire body.) You're walking at a slow pace through a very small but decent looking environment. There is narration, but it's alluding to a story that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm new to this genre of gaming, but after really enjoying "The Stanley Parable" and to a lesser degree "The Beginner's Guide", I thought for $1.99 on sale, "Why not?" Well, the woodsy scene is pretty but limited. The puzzle to solve is banal and the story--if you can call it that--is very thin to the point of non-existent, with a very unsatisfactory ending. As another reviewer stated, it seems that the puzzles exist mainly to extend the gameplay, thought to what purpose, I have no idea.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worth the money I spent. There is a lot more worse games than this and I enjoyed this one although it was a short story. Graphics are not that great ,but I like music in this game. It is really simple walking simulator and a little bit of exploring the smallest word I´ve ever played. Just don´t expect much. This feels more like some kind of a short interacive movie. The end of the game was not suprising either, but for me it was funny.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The usual shoverware from this developer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got to admit, the ending was pretty funny but other than that, it's just a walking sim where you can collect orbs. It's basic, yes, so I would recommend more so if you get this on discount like I did.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very short walking sim, heavy on atmosphere, light on practically everything else. Easily completed within an hour. That being said, this is my first encounter with Tonguc Bodur and I really enjoyed it. What seemed like a glacially slow walking pace at the beginning felt just right by the time I reached the bell. Even the orbs and statues made some sort of sense by the time I reached the end. I've played through it twice just to enjoy the scenery. Certainly not for everyone (just read the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short but sweet walking simulator with light a light puzzle and collectables where the vibes are on point. Easy achievements and most importantly cards. Gives me 'baby's first game' vibes and reminds me of something I would make in my game development course. Give it a try - its £1 what were you expecting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very short little atmospheric puzzle/collector game. It's like if you broke off a small piece of a larger game and put a weird ending on it. I liked it. The player movement speed is really slow, I could see that being a problem for some people, but the map is pretty small. It has a certain something that I can't put my finger on that made it interesting.
