If you have already played Nephise, you will quickly get to know your way around because, except for a few changes, the games are similar in terms of both structure and location. With the big difference that this is even worse than Nephise. In this game, Location is a forest again, but with more sun and fog and no snow like in Nephise. There are a few more rocky hills here. Lots more rocky hills to climb.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A little bit of exploration with some fantasy. Pace is rather slow but also it doesn't take much time to complete. Gameplay wise might feel somewhat unfinished. Overall not bad option for round of walking sim with some unusual story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very similar to the last Nephise game with a little twist to it. Grab it if you want to have a perfect game, as it shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes to find all the collectibles, and/or take a few screenshots along the way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short but sweet walking sim. Meant to be a prelude to another game, this one does not take very long and is an easy perfect for your collection. The art and atmosphere is very nice and gives you a taste of the full game. It's just a buck so if your looking to chill in some sweet environments for a short bit this can definitely do that for you.

Difficult Achievement(s): No. Intro Nephise Begins is a walking simulator game where you collect mushrooms and do whatever the narrator told you. It's a short game that will take less than 1 hour to finish. Pros: - Relaxing music Cons: - Very slow walking speed, especially once you are in the cave - No save option Specs Intel Core i5-9300H 2.40GHz, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nephise Begins was a pleasure to play! Dive into a giant forest map, where you look for skulls, mushrooms and other clues to help the MC finish the quest (and collect all the achievements). I love the atmosphere and the details. The game is almost up there with AAA graphics, despite costing just about a dollar US. The music also added to the environmental, and the storyteller was a great addition to guiding the character and giving clues as to where to go / what to do. There are settings to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is literaly a walking simulator thats feels like some student project to learn use the dev tools and decided "maybe I can grab some cash from Steam to help pay the fees" and that's it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another very short casual walking simulator that is a prequel to the game called “Nephise”, featuring colorful autumn valley, collecting skulls for a puzzle to solve, mushrooms picking, and yet another funny parody at a bossfight. This game is almost a copy of the first Nephise, except it feels richer in content and overall is looking better. Good entertainment for an hour or two, and at a favorable price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game fried my 4080 struggled to get 20fps. Cute fox and mushrooms make it worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This really should be a free demo/game. It is very short. Just a walking sim and easy to complete. Feels a lot like a game created for a school project not something to sell.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This feels like a project someone would make while learning how to make games rather than a final project. Tons of randomly put together assets from asset packs that are poorly put together. Models are just floating at times. The little story there is extremely short and narrated by a text to speech service and doesn't make sense. I cant recommend
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is no game here. Absolute slop. They even tried to make the fact that the assets don't make sense into a story point, if by "story point" you can accept one line of text-to-speech ("The house has three floors, but there are no stairs inside").

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a lover of exploration games, but this is wandering around the exact same map for hours looking for mushrooms.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nephise Begins is a really short walking simulator where you just immerse in the game's atmosphere. Set in the forest, the calming atmosphere helps you to relax. The only point of the game is to bask in the atmosphere. It is only about 30 minutes long so don't expect much.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The graphics are okay, but overall the game is meh and it feels like it was a school project, to be honest. At least it has a fox without a PP.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been trying to get through the games I have in my backlog, and this was one that came up in rotation. I believe it was part of a bundle at some point. Anyway I was wanting a chill walking sim to wind down for the evening and although this IS technically a chill walking sim, it's about as captivating as a bowl of plain oatmeal. The little bit of dialogue that exists doesn't add anything whatsoever. I thought at the very least I would try to wrap up the achievements because they seemed…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a pretty underwhelming game. "Meh" would be how I'd describe it. The game is very short. You have to collect 10 mushrooms, 4 skulls, and then proceed to the end where you kill an enemy. The achievements seem bugged or at least delayed. I didn’t get the one for killing the enemy (maybe I climbed the steps too soon?), and the achievement for finishing the game popped several minutes after it returned back to the main menu after completing the game. I'd probably have to play through it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is even worse than the original in almost all aspects. Even though the setting is completely different, the graphics are quite bad this time, with a very unnatural lighting and frequently glitched textures. The story is almost inexistent and really basic and horrible, the narrating voice is still very unpleasant and walking in this game is unbelievably slow. Also the music is worse than in the original and extremely repetitive, apart from the ending where it gets slightly better,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A relaxing little game for when you're staring at your enormous Steam library and have "nothing to play"... Paradox of choice... But here is the answer perhaps... I just felt like playing something that didn't require any effort whatsoever. Play what you want, when you want. Never feel obligated to play a certain game or to even finish it. When the fun stops, stop. Forget about the "backlog"! A game is a game is a game and games are for fun. A waste of time (in a good way because in my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good visuals and atmosphere but no point in the game other then collect a few things. Easy 100%.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, this is a big nothingfest with terrible controls and bad narration
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How to make the game with blueprints on Unreal Engine 4 tutorial: The video game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If this was a free prologue to a larger game, I might be inclined to recommend it for the visuals and overall atmosphere alone. Instead, it is a cautionary tale of what might happen if you eat glowing mushrooms in the woods. Charging a dollar for this non-game that takes less than half an hour to get through is a rather scummy practice. There is no story, no puzzles, and generally nothing of interest to see. You just do whatever the narrator tells you to do until the credits roll. If the devs…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a captivating walking simulator in any way. This dev pumps these out on a regular basis, they are all the same with just a different atmospherical premise. They have nothing to do in them other than "Walk from point A to point B, but it might be a little difficult to keep track of where you are". No story to speak off. Lens flare and glare and things like that is absolutely awful. Awfully repetitive music. It is just an asset flip. It is made up of copy/pasted assets. Your objective is…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a walking simulator, with no save function. its a fetch quest where you collect 10 mushroom, 3 skulls. that's it, there's nothing else. this is what gaming has been reduced to.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat it in less than 30 minutes. No gameplay whatsoever, no story whatsoever. There is nothing to discover, the forest looks almost the same everywhere aside a single house, huntingtower and a cave. One of the worst non games i ever played.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easy to get all the achievements, plus it's a great chill game and kinda nostalgic. And just for the record, it was my first platinum of 2025 haha. Give it a try
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice prequel to the first game. Its mostly the same but still very nice. The collis are harder to find this time but not too hard. Its pretty short and pretty nice. I can really recommend this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →'Nephise Begins' is a delightful, atmospheric game that tells the story of Nephise before she became an orb collector. The game features narration, a HUD, stunning landscapes, and various collectibles (mushrooms, letters, animal skulls). It also includes 5 Steam achievements and 3 in-game trading cards (out of 5 available for the badge). I completed the game in around 20 minutes, collecting all the collectibles and unlocking all the achievements in a single sitting. While the game has only one…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My gambling addict friend said if I post a review and it gets 150 likes and 50 Awards that he will buy me a case of beer and some vodka So im just gonna leave this here. Мой друг-игроман сказал, что если я опубликую отзыв и он наберет 150 лайков и 50 наград, он купит мне ящик пива и немного водки, так что я просто оставлю это здесь
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finished it in 30 mins. Boring af, goofy ahh story, just get it if want to kill some time, collect easy achievements or have nothing else to do.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nephise Begins is a very detailed walking simulator. You don't do much more than walking, collecting a few items, relaxing and exploring the unknown. 5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →30 minutes or so of entertainment for 99 cents. A fun little walking simulator with a bit of pretty scenery and some relaxing music. There isn't much here, but what there is is nice. It makes me curious to explore the rest of this developer's works. Which is, I guess, exactly the point of this short introduction.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very chill and short game. I even took a nap playing it :P The minus is the walking speed / lack of sprint - map is a bit large and it takes a while to get from one end to other
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's better than Call of Duty: Ghosts.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nephise Begins is the second in a trilogy. Very similar to the first game, it is a simple and beautiful puzzle game. Recommended for anyone who loves walking sims. The third game is quite fun and more complex, but I do recommend getting all three to follow the storyline.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not much to say really, it is a very short kind of puzzle game. You are getting what you pay for. As with many of these games I really wish there was a run function.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is good Graphic has a nice feel to it but pretty short due to it is a introduction to the actual game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Nephise saw a house with three floors and wanted to see what was inside." [enters house] "Nephise wondered why there were no stairs to the upper floors." [searches for a trap door, a ladder, exterior stairs, or any other way up and finds nothing] I'll tell you why there were no stairs to the upper floors, Nephise: because the developer mass produces walking simulator games while operating under the assumption that he can get away with lazy, unexplained, or nonsensical world building because…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For .49¢ I got an hour of relaxing story with lovely yet sparse narration, a soothing "walk" in a pretty, sunlit forest, and calming music. Good deal.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed it less than expected, even though I've played my fair share of story or gameplay-oriented walking simulators. The story is barebone and I didn't really feel the mood or atmosphere, so I didn't even bother to finish it. I'm aware the base price is only $1, but I would rather recommend you save $5 or more to get one of the highly acclaimed walking simulators title on next seasonal sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How does this have so many positive reviews? Fully completed in only 26 minutes!? Like only 20 lines of dialogue in a story walking sim game!? Music is nice, but not enough to create a soothing atmosphere. Even for a single buck, this feels like a waste with so many games alike and done better out there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cast a spell to find my lost socks and ended up adopting a cloud that calls me boss.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"There were no stairs to the upper floor. Nephise wondered why there were no stairs to the upper floor." If you buy this game, this compelling narration can be yours! Along with the experience of wandering lost through a forest looking for mushrooms that you can't see because there's so much bloom. Also you can't move more quickly than a slow walk, for reasons.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a walking simulator with nothing interesting in it...

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another little gem from the mind of Tonguc Bodur. A very short walking sim through a sunlit forest. Collect mushrooms and animal skulls or dont, it really doesn't matter. I really enjoyed Nephise, the first entry in this series. Nephise Begins expands the size of the area that you explore (well, a little bit) and speeds up the pace to almost a brisk walk. After that, it's more of the same. The scenery and soundtrack are better this time around. Call me mediocre if you will, but I like this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Once again, this entire saga with this Nephise person feels like being trapped in some pocket dimension by an unknown god making you do some very obscure ritual for a purpose unknown. It is utterly bizarre. I will say, the music in this one is nice. As far as looped instrumental songs go, it's pretty solid. Other than that, this is probably best for walking around and taking some screenshots in a calming space. I guess. This...experience has a $0.99 asking price, although I know I paid less…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game on discount from a badge I completed. The game takes about 30 minutes to go through the story, I played a little longer to get all the achievements. It is a beautiful small story based game, if you enjoy pretty scenery and short stories it's a perfect comfort game. I definitely recommend if you want to just relax, explore and not have a lot of challenges in a game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nephise Begins serves as a prequel to the orb collecting, puzzle, adventure game that is, Nephise. Before Nephise was an orb collector, she collected mushrooms, red ones in particular, in a place known as Needle Valley. I highly recommend this game, it's short yet interesting and suspenseful, with a beautiful soundtrack to accompany the ever-growing suspense. If you do happen to get this game, I suggest playing this before the original Nephise, as that's how the events occur chronologically,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Eeriee Puzzle Game Cool
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →basically all you need to do is collect all the items and beat the boss oh, don't forget to spin the statue as well :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its pretty? i mean its a couple puzzles and collecting mushrooms. the atmosphere is calming but not a whole lot to do. its basically a dollar for 5 easy achievements. so if you got a dollar to spare this indie developer i absolutely recommend it, its not a bad way to relax while burning 30 minutes and i'm all for helping indie devs that can make something look this pretty.
