60 of 81 · most liked firstIn A Nutshell 🔵 Pros + Decent progression system, rewarding perfect level clears with unique items and more skill points for heroes. Also, free unlimited stat respec. + Decent amount of content (9-12 hours, plus eventually replaying everything on Hard) for the price proposed. 🔴 Cons - Serious balance issues both on player and enemy sides, most notably in late-game acts. - Friendly unit stats such as Damage, Health, RoF etc. are not visible anywhere in-game (!). - Enemy scaling…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is it only me who would prefer swords and bows over guns and rockets? If you are a part of my "antique' team then you will definitely like the game. There are a few maps and a few characters to choose from which makes the game more fun. Also, there is a special upgrade system which allows customizing your hero based on your playstyle. If you like to play aggressively - you can jump on your enemies and fight in a melee range or burst them with some shrapnel, while if you like to defensive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I play a lot of early access games, that means I also refund a lot of them. This game will remain in my library. Its fun, it looks good and the frame rate runs pretty well even with a full 50/50 unit field in play. So far the only "complaint" I have, is the way joining games are handled. If under the "Ping" column it says "Game Started" you just can't join, at all. Having spoken to the devs, they are working to implement a way to join these games. Numerous references will be made to games…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing the beta and this game is worth more than $15 to me. First things first, the idea is completely unique. It mix between tower defense, multiplayer RPG style, and action fighting-type games with wave defense. A brilliant 10/10! Second thing, is the action and gameplay. In terms of gameplay, for hardcore players, this game should certainly be on your list! The hard "Nightmare" mode is extremly difficult. It may be a bit grindy to get to level 25 to max out your perks. There are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is extremely fun and addictive. A similar game to compare it to is dungeon defenders, but you don't swap out characters and time is limited between each wave. There is a lot of potential here and I hope the developers see the amazing opportunity this game has and go beyond in the customization options outside of the current perk system. Currently you'll probably get 10-20 hours worth of enjoyment out of the game, maybe more if you have friends that buy into it as well. If you're a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels bad to give this a negative review, because it's entirely within the devs abillity to make this game great. The game is stable and runs very well. Unfortunately it is barebones, and it has it's issues. Unless something is done its unlikely the game will have any staying power. The game needs to bring a little more to the table. A good tower defense centric game manages to distract the player from the fact that he's killing the same monsters on the same map for hours. Even if you slap…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hobo king? Terrific, great design. Way he walks? The best. Character design is tremenous. There are zero waifus though and that's weak, we need to add some and it will be just amazing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not completely horrible but at the same time its horrible. With the type of combat, your heros should have special moves or something. The combat is pretty barebones and lacking a lot. I really like the idea but it doesn't seem like they grasped it correctly. Like, for example, there's no zoom aim. 3rd person games almost always need zoom aim.. Tbh, my biggest gripe about this game is its poorly designed combat for both the npc enemies and the hero. There's just nothing engaging about it at…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this fully expecting to have to refund it imediately. Dood... I just played my first two rounds this morning. This game is f'ing awesome. They are selling themselves way short. I admit I was expecting garbage but that isn't what I got at all. My feedback and comments: Some of the animations are quite chunky. Specifically the mob animations and the moving platform animations. I am not sure if that is an optimization thing but I am running on a super-rig and hero animations were smooth…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Disclaimer: I received two copies by the developers to review at Save or Quit.] To describe Hell Warders in a few words, the simplest statement is that the game doesn’t feel finished, but not in the sense that it is lacking in content. As a game out of Early Access, there is more than enough provided with three character-types, twenty levels across Normal and Hard settings, and dozens of unit combinations to warrant its asking price. However, the far more egregious dilemma comes from the…

The most amazing part about this is that you can do that with up to 3 friends/total strangers. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun tower/hero defense game, and the devs seem pretty committed to it and the community. The graphics and musical score fit well, and the heroes have diverse play styles. And while there are balancing issues with the later levels being Hell-ishly difficult and the upgrades needing to be a little more potent, these should get ironed out before the final release. For the price and enjoyment, worth getting. 8.5/10, with better score when balanced
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game. Have great potential.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just refunded this game. While the idea of a tower defense game with first/third person player mechanics is great to me, this game just feels generic. There's no customization, at all. It's you with a sword, gun, or bomb, and then theres the army which can be leveled up, which is great. However, I'd like to be able to level up, say, my sword, my shield, my skills... myself... I will be keeping my eye on it however in the hopes that the developer actually does push forward with these. I'm…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The playstyle is interesting, but overall I rather like it. I haven't tried the higher difficulties yet but from what I've seen so far it looks very stable and already lots of action going on.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is not bad. I do not agree with other people that graphic is bad etc. In my opinion game is really nice. But it have ONE HUGE PROBLEM which makes this game unplayable. I played with gunner class and I need to press LFB for every single shot. What does it mean? That I need to press LFB 5 times per second all the time. After few maps my mouse is damage such as my hand. It looks like devs never tested this game. It is so obvious that holding LFB should works same like clicking it. If you…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite an extraordinary tower-defense game with great concept and great effort. Graphics and gameplay are nicely done, and I really enjoyed the game as it demands everything from a player during each battle (like your judgement, intellect and skill). Characters (no matter the good or bad ones) are on point and distinctive as well. In my opinion some elements could be added in to enhance the playing experience, such as spells, character talent systems and temporary boosts during each battle; and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if all orcs must die was a solid beta that was set in the dark souls/bloodborne universe you would get this game. right now it still feels like the early access that it is. looking forward to seeing how it develops
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I see great potential in this game, the core gameplay is an unique mix of Tower Defense and Hero-based Action Game, but the game doesn't bother you with complex Resource Management and numbers crunching you see in traditional TD Games, or those tedious Inventory Management in Hero-based Defense games, you can go right into the action and slay monsters from the very beginning of each game. I am using a GTX 960 Graphics Card on my machine, with maxed out display quality setting. Suprisingly, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First time trying this game, I can see the potential in this game. Firstly the graphics and gameplay is very attractive to me and made me feel I want to support this game to build to it's potential. I can see this game turn into something different, but still appealing to crowds of dungeon defenders / orc must die. At the moment, this game is lacking a bit of content but its understandable because of early access. Apart from this, you could see most of the gameplay with the current status. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is basicly good, nice graphic with a good game gameplay, but it's a little glitchy to control your heroes. I have spent 0,3 hours in game, and I can say this game has potentials to become a great game, but now, for me, Im going to wait for the next updates. Some glitches can make you feel uncomfortable while playing, but it's exceptable for an early access game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →seems to be an incomplete game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →waste of money, it feels unfinished, it's a dead game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game was fun after I bought it. Now, two days later, without changing anything, the game goes into a black screen after the intro. Verifying the data, reinstalling, restarting my pc etc. does not work. Way to waste money. PS I would like to stress that the latest game update is from february 2019, so the game is obviously abandoned by the developers. Do never buy anything from this developer now or in the future. You would get more from buying a mobile game with tons of microtransactions,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although the game is not very polished yet, the concept is insteresting and I'm looking forward to future updates to add more characters and improved gameplay. The game is especially enjoyable when playing together with your friends to complete missions.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not recommended in current state (21-6-2017) + Concept (big fan of interactive TD, like DD, Sactum, etc) + Looks - music - defence system (random orbs) - speed (to slow) - Depth (current state is pretty shallow) To my opinion, paid EA games need te be more than just the barebone concept
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great TD game, but a fly in the ointment is the music and sound effect.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A suprising gem and a very entertaining game indeed.. Had a great time with a few players and love the design of the different classes where each class has a very define role in the team. The game is quite challenging and definitely needs good team work inorder to get pass all 5 stages. Hope they can release more classes soon!!! One thing I hope they can add is the ability to resituate the towers ..overall so far so good, hope the developer can continue to fine tune and make the game better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love games like Orcs Must Die 1 and 2 (haven't tried the F2P version) and Dungeon Defenders 1 and 2 + the game that Dungeon Defenders is based on. This game looked alright but I have to say that I don't agree with the way you get towers at this moment, they are just floating around randomly and you can pick them up whenever you want? Makes no sense to me. I played the Melee character in the tutorial (just hit E twice to finish these battles btw) and then tried the shotgun-wielding char in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Found this game pretty fun. Should have some protentials as this is only early access. If you like games such as Dungeon Defenders and Orcs must die, this has some protentials to be a good competitor.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Video impressions: https://youtu.be/HsBsqBIg1oI Written version below! As a big fan of the Orcs Must Die! series, I was really looking forward to checking out Hell Warders. It seemed to blend the gameplay that makes the former work with a much darker and less cartoony aesthetic, similar to one you’d get from Bloodborne or the other Souls games. Given this combination, what could go wrong? Well, everything it turns out. I’ll get right to the heart of the issue, that being that the game’s combat…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dark Souls meets Tower Defense....annnnnddd I like it! Controls just fine (only played Renier so far), graphics are pretty nice, and the game gives me that "just one more try" vibe. Mostly I love it because I can get some strategic, meaty, demon slaying action that draws me into its dreary world for short stretches at a time. I'm new to the tower defense realm but a Demon/Dark Souls vet and I like the combination of the two genres. I hope the devs garner much praise and sales so maybe we can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →**EDIT** Scroll down to the very bottom to read the most updated review. It's kind of sad to see this game from when I first reviewed it to the current state it's in. I left the original reviews up as a reminder. Hell Warders is a action-defense type game set in 3rd person view. You choose one of (at the moment) 3 unique characters, each with their own unique playstyle. The game is set like a mature version of Dungeon Defenders or Orcs Must Die, where you set up your defenses however you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be honest, I did not expect much in an indie game, but turnout some aspects do deserve the appreciation. Although many "déjà vu" from other games might be found, the game's theme and style are absolutely intriguing and eye catching. Things I especially like: - Samson III - I'd like to call him the beggar king, with a skill like Kamehameha and the appearance are strangely matched, it reminds me the beggar I saved a lot from Metal Slug. - 3D Modelling, the appearance of Dead eye (or the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is addicting. I saw the game on greenlight and I already knew it was gonna be awesome. I finally got to playing it recently and fell in love immediately, its like dungeon defenders but with way more potential and a way more badazz theme. I really hope you put this review into consideration before buying. The road has only begun and you will never have spent that $15 on anything better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hell Warders is an Early Access title, and in some ways it shows. In short, I'd call it "Dungeon Defenders meets Dark Souls". Hell Warders harkens to a playstyle which will seem very familiar to fans of Dungeon Defenders. You play as a Hell Warder, a hero capable of summoning powerful defensive units, and your goal is to use your unique abilities and strategic talent to hold off wave after wave of terrifying enemies. Hell Warders borrows most of its gameplay from Dungeon Defenders. Your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really good. There arent a lot of players yet, but is such a fun game with friends. Really deserves more attention
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just played 2 rounds of it. My first impression is...game is full of potential. First of all, this game is still under Early Access, so normally i would expect bugs and balancing issues. But turns out the game is pretty good. The only complaint i have is the character movement is a bit odd. If they can make character movement more smoothly that would be perfect. Overall Hell Warders is fun and good. I definitely will spend more time with my friends on this game. Because TD game always is my…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very good and interesting game play sort of a tower defence with a pinch of rpg !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This, I like this. I didn't even realize it was a tower defense game, it's very clever. You honestly just feel like a badass with a medieval army at your back. It's tough, so you have to play well, which is good. There are skill points so there's reason to try levels again too. graphics looks good, didn't notice anything bad about the animations. Overall just a solid game. If you like wacking a buncha fookin enemies with archers, spearmen, and mages at your back, this is the game for you!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game! Had a small issue with ultra wide resolution mode but the support solved it in less than 30 min from reporting. Definitely recommend! Can't wait for more content...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game, full of potential. Just played for 2 games and cant wait to write a review for it. Currently only 3 characters to play but you can see more is coming from the menu. From melee to ranged, a third person tower defense game which require company to play with. Group play is definitely more fun than solo game as characters has their unique role. Hope the developer will optimze/fine tune animation from the melee character, when you play on higher difficulties the gameplay will be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a really interesting game! had lots of fun playing it. the harder lvl's are challenging and will need some nice teamwork to pass is there a function to check what each troops do? like thier dps and traits? i had to figure it out myself by experience as i play. it was no big issue but it would be nice this game had lots of potential to grow with more charaters, monsters and change in enviroment
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked Hell Warders in the past... The graphics and everything about the game was really nice! The main problem was it felt a bit laggy and now trying it again after not touching it for a month or two to see the changes.. I feel disappointed in it now. Hopefully it gets fixed in the future before it is fully released from it's Early access stage.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Long waited Co-op Tower Defence plus TPS game! This game is awesome as an early access game. I love the fast pace and the varity of defense structure it offered. The 3 hero classes are very distintive, I suggest you to try all 3 to fit your play style. Look forward to have more classes to release. The BGM is stunning and it is the part I love most, it feels like you are fighting in a epic grand battle. Recommend to all player who love co-op games. Best to please with you friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now the game is out of early access and full version, what is this game ? Imagine if dark souls was made into a arcade game and then into a tower defense. A 3rd person tower defense against hordes of demons, lots of content, many maps, upgradables and good 3d graphics, well optimised game and original. i recommend to everyone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Received 3 keys for streaming purposes (1 for me, and 2 for friends.) Its a mediorce game. Most other games, you can re-do previous maps if you find yourself stuck. Here its just grind on a level till you finish it. The classes are boring, the 'active' mode feels rather lackluster too. The idea behind the towers is neat at least, but fails hard when certain enemies (wheel demons) just bypass the AI on the towers and destroy the core in 2 hits. But the artstyle works well, and such. Also…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game - Scratches the Dungeon Defenders itch, but also reminds me of games I used to play when I was younger like Rakion, and Gunz. By no means is it a masterpiece, but its fun, janky, and $15 - what have you got to lose? Its got its issues, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun playing it. Personally speaking this game scratched an itch for me that I can't quite explain. Look, its definitely not for everyone, but if you liked games like Dungeon defenders and want a low investment (in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hell Warders is actually a really fun tower defence and third person hack'n'slash hybrid. I didn't even realise it was a tower defence until it loaded but I'm a big fan of tower defence games so I was very pleased when I realised. In the game play you get a defence building stage before the enemy waves start but you can also place new defences during the onslaught as long as you haven't hit your spawn limit which I thought was really cool. Then when it begins you get to join in the battle with…
