Marcus Level
Developer 3DDUO
Marcus thought that while his parents were away, he could play his favorite videogame "Gorbar and The Valley of the Seven Light Towers". Unfortunately, he got transported inside the videogame itself ! From the Steam store page

What I do know, however, is that as a game, Marcus Level is not fun at all. The game itself is a runner type game. You complete short, obstacle course type levels using your abilities. When you bump into a wall, you are automatically turned around. Occasionally, you will need to transform to get past certain areas. The first problem is that use of a…

The hit detection is really messed up..I can jump on an enemies head sometimes and be successful while other times I die. I've encountered so many glitches too I can't even count them. If you jump in an area that wasn't meant to be jumped in, then you get stuck and have to restart. I've gotten stuck in the goal as well because you move faster when you sword jump. I did a sword jump right before the goal a…

The game itself is aimed at the hardened platformer rather than the casual gamer. Being of the latter I was expecting to replace another window in my house but my controller stayed firmly in my hand in what was an unexpected enjoyable playthrough! You play Marcus in a side scrolling jumping platformer collecting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the worst platformers i have ever played - and that's saying something. The controls (i.e. jumping and attacking) respond poorly. Levels are boring. At some point i turned into a fish with no indication of what i had to do so i got stuck. The menu is terrible with unskippable animations, loading screens (wtf is it loading?) and a disappearing cursor (!). What a terrible cashgrab, i hope fans of the cartoon don't accidentally run into this crap.

For some reason game might stuck after completing stage forcing player to restart it. Overall better to play Mario. Marcus sucks.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Marcus Level just wasn’t fun for me. I didn’t enjoy it, and honestly, I don’t have much good to say about it. I’d skip this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a one dimensional unfinished game with too much repetition to be fun. Bugs are constant and often break the game. I got stuck on flat geometry and inside walls more than once. The mouse randomly disappears, so I couldn’t navigate the shop or menus. You only have two actions, jump and attack. Jumping has a delay that makes platforming feel off. and since it’s a fully automated runner, there’s no movement control either. Progression is locked behind badge requirements that are too strict,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Marcus Level, developed by 3DDUO and published by Fun4Family and Plug In Digital, is a colorful 2D action-platformer built around a nostalgic premise and a straightforward gameplay structure. The story follows Marcus, a young boy who finds himself transported into his favorite video game, Gorbar and The Valley of the Seven Light Towers. Instead of simply playing through the adventure from his bedroom, Marcus must now physically navigate the game world, defeat enemies, collect items, and rescue…

On here you get 4 levels and 4 are darkened out which makes no sense to me but O K. And on the computer steam version you get a couple glitches here and there where you get stuck can't move but all you have to do is restart the entire level I mean it sucks but it doesn't really hurt the game too much.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game SUCKS. Its legitimate such a scam that it costs 4.99€, oh my god. Its a glitchy, horrible mess, some of the secrets are right there for you while others are horribly hidden in spots that take 10 minutes to get to, there's only 4 out of the 8 worlds you can see in the main land... And, in my opinion, the BY FAR worst thing: The achievements. They are extremely grindy and ridiculous, "Get 5k Rochobolds in each world" or "Kill 500 of each enemy" which makes me want to die so bad God I…
