negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is macro oriented. This isn't to say that you don't micro or that you can max out and a-move and hope to win against good players, but games are won in similar fashion to Brood War. The maps are big (or the units aren't super fast), so positioning is key, since you can't instantly reinforce an area. I feel like in a way this game plays like Brood War but without any issues with unit collision/pathing, and with all the hotkey amenities of Starcraft II. This is a game for people who want a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've noticed a lot of the reviews comment about either the artificial difficulty (opponent having infinite resources, which makes no sense as a complaint, as the player also has infinite resources with farms+caravans) or about in-progress saving. I do not find these to be really important issues. What I find important is that the game is bland, the gameplay has little variance (both the missions and the three factions), and the techtree is shallow. Some notes: • The most common objective is…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I'm more of a casual rts player. I don't like to do pvp because i hate losing. But, I love making armies and sending them to fight. With that in mind, I jumped straight in to the campaign and, man is this games AI bad. It's really bad. It's the worst I can remember. I've played a lot of rts games and, none of them even come close. This is what the AI does. It spawns in a wave of units and, send them to attack a specific target. NOTICE I said, spawns not builds. There is no way wan AI that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the setting but unfortunately, the gameplay is so RTS-basic that it's just not interesting. It probably does not even reaches the complexity of Warcraft 2.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just think there should be more units and buildings but its still a great game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Second Game of the #SharpPractice weekend saw a clash between Continentals & a Huron War Party, attempting to persuade a neutral tribe to join their side, sensibly the elders chose to remain neutral, before long the Huron buckled under superior fire power and were driven off. #spreadthelard.
unlabelledView post →Are you desperately waiting for Warcraft 3: Reforged or Age of Empires 4? Then this game is for you. It's a great RTS game with an interesting setting. The developers are very passionate and do everything to improve the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy this game, very satisfying gameplay and quite similar to Paraworld which I love.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No Balance. Allways Tankrush by AI. No Save within Mission => you allways have to start from beginning => very monoton + boring. Don't buy at the moment !
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are 2 basic features that I would not recommend this game: 1) NO SAVE GAME: This is a basic feature in all RTS, but this game has none in the campaign, so imagine building a nice base and then you cannot save and wasted an hour, or you do something wrong and get defeated and need to start over, the developers and designers have been trying to fix this for a few months now. 2) GAME DIFFICULTY SETTINGS: Some levels are easy and some is hard, now think that you cannot save either, I was…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game features three campaigns, one for each of the slightly different stone-age factions, skirmishes against the AI on only eight maps, a survival mode, and online multiplayer. Worker units are used to collect food and crystal, used to recruit new units, build structures, or perform upgrades. Power is used primarily to cast a limited variety of spells (and, in the case of one faction, to recruit units). Wild dinosaurs can be hunted for food, or recruited by one of the factions. Faction-wide…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game. Challenging Campaign. Only scratching the surface of the game and have well over 3 hours of game play. It feels like a Warcraft 3 with Dinosaurs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid indie RTS Game, similar to Warcraft and Age of Empires, with Dinosaurs and Stone Age. You have 3 factions, several challenging game mods and good AI.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warparty is a great rts! The three factions all feel different and combinded with the varied maps Warparty offers great mutliplayer fun. The campaign is also fun. It has 18 missions with comic intros and in game cutscenes. In addition there is a survival mode which adds to the content of the game. I mostly play competitive 1v1 and have to say it is really fun. There are many different strategies you can use while the amount of cheese strats remains low. The developers still work hard on the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Game is clearly inspired by Starcraft and Warcraft 3. The Techtree seems to have very little depth and the Units seem to be very close to stone paper scissors. For example every Faction has a healer that does not attack, uses no mana of any sort and can learn a very basic ability as an upgrade. Sadly this is essentially the only Unit ability for every faction. There is little to do but click and attack. The 3 Factions mostly play the same and there are many details that still need to be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is hard to review specially it is borderline bad and good game Pros: * the story, it is divided to 3 factions with different endings that fits to the characteristic of the factions * dinosaurs Cons: * game mechanic is not fun specially you have to track 4 or more type of resources (i think a fun RTS uses 2 & maybe gathering them is different not just assign worker to get here). plus the resources gathering is slow and you have to watch out the population limit * the gathering…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the theme and graphics are pleasant, the campaign is probably one of the most unpleasant designs for an RTS I have experienced for a while. The computer THRIVES off of abusing it's broken capabilities and not following the mechanics you are forced to use. While I enjoy some of the creative restrictions and concept behind the short campaigns, they lack any actual staying power and were far more frustrating than pleasant. Many missions have either a fail or pass theme, requiring you either…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY - Unless... You are in it strictly for the single player campaign. Multiplayer is completely unplayable. After 5-10 minutes playing with your friends (no matter who is host, as we tried multiple people) it will say "disconnected from server" and you're unable to continue the game. Even joined the Warparty official discord for some help with the issue and have gotten no response.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gronk love dis game. Very much like Gronk upbringing in Valley of Big Dead Things. Gronk think one thing stupid, though. Dinosaurs all gone when Gronk alive. Never had to fight any T-Rex. But Gronk see big, hairy mammoths and big cats with long fangs. Very deadly. Gronk like how game play like some other cool game called WarCraft III. Got hero characters and workers. Very much fun. Like how upgrade path work as well. Game force Gronk to expand and mine lots of mineral to build up his…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The AI cheats. I love the concept but I hate cheating AI.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dinosaurs vs Undead... It's like an 8yo's playroom floor! Build bases, get resources, fight heroes in either story campaign or a multiplayer match. Cool idea for a well made classically inspired RTS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40mZye9nT7k
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I REALLY enjoy this game. I'm a hardcore RTS fan who enjoys high-level competitive multiplayer in games like Age of Empires and StarCraft, and to me, Warparty absolutely competes with these titans. Engine seems smooth as butter. All the RTS QoL elements you'd expect from an RTS in 2019 are here. Love the twist on god powers. tl;dr - Warparty mixes Age of Empires gameplay mechanics with the QoL and smoothness of StarCraft II. RTS players, check this game out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has potential but there is not much content. Depending on your skill level and what you find fun, you may get your money's worth but I would recommend waiting. I hope the developers make some big updates soon.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was excited at first, since this seemed like a spin on the old Age of Empires. Instead it's half-baked. It feels like it's a beta, not a finished product. The voice acting is terrible and immediately obnoxious. I get that they're going for a caveman thing but constantly hearing toddler-talk from grunting adult men is grating. The AI is terrible, attack move orders seem more like suggestions. The AI from the campaign doesn't seem to follow any of the rules the player does, the depth and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Game is actually very good. Finally a challenging strategy game :-) Each campaign mission takes around 15-20 minutes to complete. I was actually surprised by all the nice voice overs in the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Meh C&C /WC3 Clone with Dino/Caveman theme plays like it is 15 years old already. The game itself is enjoyable and a good enough time killer however the voice acting have me reaching for the nearest sharp instrument to jam into my ears Ahhh the sound of rushing blood will soon drown out the terrible voice over work.Buy it now for 20 bucks or wait for it to go on sale your choice but worth the play. ! WITH SOUND OFF.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WARPARTY I will be recommending this game on a deep discount, let me explain further below. I am a big RTS Guy.. i have played almost every title out there and this one kinda reminds me of Warcraft 2 tides of darkness for game play and a lesser version of Warcraft 3 for the graphics, the sound is passable as the voice acting can be a tad childish which is OK as it fits the art style. The things i liked - the amount of units you can select and move, path finding was decent. animations seem…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →War Party has a mix of both classic RTSs like the Warcraft series and some concepts similar to Age of Empires. It is fun in a way, HOWEVER the game is lacking in some things. For me, it's the general design of the game that puts me off. There's a better overview of what i though below. I would really like to give this a neutral recommendation but for now, the things that irks me will prevent me from prevent me from recommending this. - The units in each factions are completely different from…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ugly monotone mess with an extremely stupid AI. avoid even if free.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Visual appealing classic RTS that doesn't have to hide behind it's ancestors! I really like the clear design choices that makes the game well readable. The setting is interresting and allows cool character designs ! The waypoint systems is also neat since it clearly shows the paths of units - thumbs up! Also the controls are intuitive while all shortuts are also complete customizable. If u liked Age of Empires and similiar classic RTS games i really recommend to pick this game up and give it a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great RTS. I loved all the older RTS from when I was a kid, and this game follows those guidelines better then any other on the market. Looking forward to the further development of this title.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly bought it over Kinguin so I can't refund :( The only option is to macro fast and then mass units, otherwise they will overrun you. The units behave on their own, if you take passive stance , they will switch to aggressiv. The Healers are uterly useless, since they won't be in reach with your melee units and let them die. Overall a nice idea but your own AI reminds me of 20 years ago
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a game of #WhataCowboy down at #CLWC my gang of Mexican desperadoes fighting the Earp Brothers and a Navajo War Party to capture a mule laden with freshly mined gold. #spreadthelard.
unlabelledView post →Yay, new Paraworld, was the thing I thought at first. Then I found out there is much to be desired from this game. You get 3 campaigns (6 missions long each) with 3 rather different factions and solid RTS mechanics. The campaigns are lacking some normal cutscenes (only stills with naration), they are not especially innovative, most of the time, you just build up your base and attack opponents base. If there were no dinosaurs I probably would not enjoy the game at all, but since there are just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an RTS about caveman and dinosaurs made by an indie stuido of probably a couple people. It is what you would expect and I like it. It is fun and silly. This is still an indie game so keep that in my mind. It reminds me of an old RTS called Goblin commander, which makes sense because this game has a playstation 2 feel. Most of the negative reviews can be ignored. This is an indie game. You shouldn't expect to see a AAA Starcraft level game. We need to appreciate indie games more because…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I guess it's not horrible, but it's so bland. You would think dinosaurs would be interesting but the sound, animation, and game play is just so blah. Add to that an tiresome overly zoomed in camera and invisible walls which are hard to see, and the game just does not add up.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5.5/10 - Goncalo Graca 8/4/2019 Finished the campgain on 18 hours and I have kinda of mixed feelings about this game. I am a huge RTS fan i love the genre seriously, i was expecting more of it. but here goes my review Warcraft 3 like, with good units, but they lack character.the buildings are also the same on every faction but they changed the name the units they produce and the style to addapt to each faction, so the way u play each faction its mostly the same. the sounds are very similar…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent old-school RTS. Decent base defense would've been a nice addition as the AI can be a real pain, rushing constantly. But generally a well-rounded game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really a big surprise, the gameplay factions and graphics are very reminiscent of Warcraft, a really good game. Updated fairly often, there are still a lot of annoying bugs, but I'm sure they will add a lot of things, and fix the bugs, overall very good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game takes me back to the good old days of RTS games. It is simple but with a high enough skill requirement where the rankings actually mean something. The game is well polished and whilst yes, there could be slightly more content, the only way is up. The scope for things they can add is amazing from new tribes, new spells and even new hero's, all of which would freshen up gameplay in the months to come. Overall I would 100% recommend this game to any true RTS fan, or even someone…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very simple RTS but I used to play rts with much more complexity and variety. The current version still lacking many features such as tooltip for showing how many idle worker or the fact that UI display often felt like empty canvas. Some letter and words pretty small; bit hard to read and overall unit display is lacking in art detail. The gameplay so far is smooth and there is no technical problem. Not many new released RTS game right now so if you wanted something easy to play this can be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good gamplay, very similar to Age Of Empires... Graphics are bright and clean. Only let down is the multiplayer, cant seem to find a game what so ever.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like This game, the only thing i extremely dislike is that i cannot play it offline, is that fixable??
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game had potential but are abandoned. The quality of the game seems to have continued somewhere and then stopped. No balance and full of bugs. When they speak, they do not hear what the voices are saying or they are either too strong or too weak in the story. At times, they either don't execute commands properly or get stuck somewhere. The Heroes are almost useless and do not even develop. The campaign levels are almost the same. Defeat the computer that has a lot of resources and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is dead, will never find an online match, the devs released it on the hype with so much promise and all the stuff they was going to do etc, they got the money and ran.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, there is no mid game in game save / load function, the units don't have portraits, the game is a bit laggy at least at high resolutions and textures, and you can't destroy your own units or buildings which is actually needed sometimes, and the perk system seems gimmicky.. that's what i discovered in 27 minutes. My friend bought it as well an I'm sure he's considering a refund as well, and from what I can tell in the steam discussions from the dev its a small team and the say the save…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game. Just not very deep.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AI might need a bit of work, but else, great game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game screams world of warcraft, all the way down to the graphics. That said, i liked it. The graphics wre pretty kewl, the story line good. I think they could have done a lot more with this than copy aspects of WOW. THey should have kept going with it and i hope they do. I would recommend if on sale. I do not recommend paying the original price they wanted for the game, it just wasnt and isnt worth that price. Also although the graphics are good, they are nothing compared to their…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all, the graphics are absolutely nothing like in the screenshots. It looks like a game from 1996. Second the single player is the most bland and uninspired thing i have seen in a long time. Maybe the Multiplayer could save it but it but i didn't even try.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warparty is an absolutely phenomenal RTS. It is easy to learn, super enjoyable, and is definitely worth it. It still has a small playerbase, but it's new and looking really strong.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A little indie gem with some annoying sound design and voice acting (the music is good though), but still it's got that cool old school RTS vibe (like WarCraft 2). Given the modest price, I think this is underrated.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Really cool hidden-gem type game, This is the type of game you rarely see anymore, where they took the time to work on everything (UI, music, gameplay, etc) equally and thoroughly I love this (type of) game because it not only has Primal themes and artwork (Barbarians, Warriors, Pre-historic stages etc, in other words, no 'cyborg' agenda being pushed here..) but it's only very well made and the game itself plays very well and smooth once you get the hang of it and make the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warparty sets out to be a Warcraft 3 clone with dinosaurs, but bad tutorials, poor missions taking place on maps recycled between factions, literally constant enemy harassment, atrocious humor and voice acting and an absolutely baffling lack of basic RTS features (one for all: no "camera to event" button) make this game an absolute mess. There is a half decent RTS buried in there, but there are simply too many problems to recommend this one even to the hardest of hardcores.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/10 was really looking forward to dinosaur Age Of Empires, but that AI. they will just stand in place and watch you destroy things until you pass some invisible wall and they come out to play - single player levels refuse to start when im offline, so i cant steam share my library with my brother well playing this - clunky movement system - MY GAWD THE AI IS BAD!!!!! - feels like watered down AOE, its like they just stole and reskined the game but left out a ton of stuff
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warparty by Warcavegames, was a decent dino-RTS that I bought during a random Steam sale. It’s an old-school, simple, fun & nostalgic strategy game where you gather tribesmen and dinos and attack your opponent. Once in a while, the campaign mode throws you a curveball with interesting map objectives, but most of the times you are left with the impression that the AI somehow cheeses you with impossible to counter attacks. The limited variety in units & buildings in the different factions doesn’t…
