negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This platformer has a unique charm. The aestetic is really nice, and the music is banger!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Velocity Noodle is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This console ported 2D retro pixel platformer has a speedrunner theme as you're supposed to negotiate each level as quickly as possible. I can certainly understand that gamers will be keen to be done with this as quickly as possible due to the low quality. In terms of differentiators, this game has very few, just double jumping and a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I first tried this game earlier this year, I experienced the following bugs within just the first few levels: Sometimes after clearing a level, the next level loads suddenly, and your time for the level you just cleared gets erroneously saved as your PB for the level that just loaded instead (even if you've never played it). Same as above, but this time, the flag that keeps track of whether you've found the collectible in a level gets erroneously saved to the next level instead. Sometimes…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy platformers, but I'm more of a slow and precise kind of person. Speedrunning has never really been my thing, but this game blew me away. The game was almost perfect in terms of movement (there are some minor issues here and there but nothing really major), and it felt really good to flow through the levels, and get a bit better each time. Routing was not very complicated, and the gold medal times (including for the hard levels) were pretty tame and overall enjoyable. Highly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Being a noodle delivery is hard, but I enjoy it a lot. The intense gameplay with cyberpunk style is awesome. Though the control isn't that complicated, I still consider it as a hard platformer game, as it nearly requires you to not make any mistake. But, I still recommend this game to casual players just because this is very fun to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautifully styled with tight controls, velocity noodle draws inspiration from platformers like Celeste while keeping its own identity. Highly recommended! Now how do I get lower times on these levels...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but hard IL speedrun platformer. Controls feel responsive and enjoyable, artstyle and soundtrack is good. Worth it if you're looking for an approachable but well-made time-trial platformer! Check out https://store.steampowered.com/curator/41559946 for more recommendations!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quick Description: -Velocity Noodle is a fast twitch cyberpunk themed precision platformer that offers a blazing soundtrack and tons of challenging levels. This is a speedrunners dream and has been a real joy to experience. While at the moment, it doesn't offer a ton of content, it makes up for it w/ fluid movement and innovative mechanics that any fan of the genre will appreciate. *Notes: -I have completed the 3 chapter story mode and all of the Hard levels and it took me just under 3 hrs.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun IL based platformer, none of the games challenges (collectible, speedrun times, and hitless levels) are too hard but it's a fun and chill experience overall. No real complaints besides the game could probably be a bit cheaper, but it goes on sale for fairly cheap so that takes care of that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A neat little time attack precision platformer. Buy it on sale unless you're into speedrunning.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love me a good speedrunnin game, feels like a cyberpunk super meat boy and the music is dope!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Velocity Noodle (VN) is a stylish speedrunner where it’s all about completing the 48 levels within a set amount of time. You can ignore the timer and just finish a level normally, but then you’re going to miss out in terms of being taught how to utilise the mechanics. The timer forces you to get creative, and in turn, you learn how awesome the game becomes when you’re running around at full speed. I’m not normally the speedrunner type but I do enjoy the arcade nature and the learning curve when…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It wants to be a soulful meditation on dealing with mental illness, as well as a 2D platformer with levels that demand you master the pitch-perfect controls. It succeeds at both goals, but if the challenge is too high for you the highly adjustable difficulty options let you experience the story the way you want. Velocity Noodle is a platformer with so many tricks up its sleeve that you’re always on your toes, and where memorising devious traps always takes precedence over timing or skills.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Prrrrrrrrrretty good, should you be itching for a platformer that rewards experimentation and swiftness. Doesn't go above and beyond, but for the price, it's recommendable. Full thoughts: https://kapodaco.blog/2022/02/21/thoughts-on-velocity-noodle/
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had some issues with it and I am going to refund it for the time being, I may consider picking up again after they patch some stuff though, so I might end up turning this review around. I wish the devs luck, I specifically had an issue where I could not go into fullscreen and it took a long time to rebind to my preferred controls because the menus were very unintuitive and clunky.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a blast of a game! This is a fast paced platformer where you have to think on your feet! At first I had a bit of trouble figuring out the buttons, but once I got those down I was off on an adventure through the game! It's very addicting, and makes you want to keep going and getting better times! Highly recommend for anyone who loves speedy platformers that test your reflexes!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I followed some of the development on this game on Reddit and I really like how it turned out! I think the biggest strength is that it doesn't force you to be a speedrun minmax type of person. You're even allowed to get hit once before dying which is rare for the genre. While I sometimes used my one hit to squeeze out some extra time, it makes it more enjoyable to a casual playerbase too. I had the most fun with the teleporting sword mechanics. Chaining that with some jumps and dashes felt…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun, fast, and fluid. basically all you could ask for in a precision platformer. going for the trophies is hard, but it always feels like just a push away. overall a super replayable experience, and well worth the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loving this game so far. The platforming is direct and engaging, while not being overly punishing. The music and styling in this game complement each other very well too. All in all, it's a good time I recommend giving it a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Velocity Noodle is a high-speed 2D precision platformer developed by Shotgun Anaconda and published by Top Hat Studios, Inc., built from the ground up with speedrunning and mechanical mastery in mind. Beneath its quirky premise of delivering noodles in a neon-soaked cyberpunk world lies a tightly constructed action platformer that prioritizes fluid movement, razor-sharp timing, and replay-driven optimization. It is a game that wastes no time easing players in gently; from the outset, it makes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hidden gem! this game looks gorgeous and plays even more gorgeous. its a speedrun style platformer like meat boy, but a mechanics based one like celeste. the controls are tricky, but you'll get used to them quick enough. plus, pixel anime girl go weeeeeeeee
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/s5zrPYoDzG4 Lacking in contrast between foreground and background elements makes for levels that are much harder to read than is likely intended for players learning the mechanics.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good pickup when on sale. It's a series of short but fun platforming challenges, with some tight but doable time challenges. Pro tip: use a controller, and use Steam's controller settings to unbind L3: sliding on controller can be a bit frustrating, but was absolutely infuriating when accidental L3 clicks kept bringing up the pause menu instead.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, fast and challenging. Not the type of games I usually play, but I had a great time and the music is an absolute banger. Would recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Smooth platforming with a nice mix of movement abilities and obstacles that allow for potentially very slick completion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Many months ago I got as a gift "Remnants of Naezith" another "Precision Platformer". I didn't wanna leave a gift just as a +1 in my library, so I played it. And it was painful. But each day I was drawn to try another time again. Thill after 34 painful hours I beat it. And I thought to myself: "I'm never playing a Precision Platformer game ever again". Now a week ago, I saw a nice bundle that had another game I was interested in. But somehow, something compels me to instead of playing that game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun movement, great artistic style and music. I'd say more, but the customers are waiting and these noodles aren't going to deliver themselves. Back to grind my pb.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is pretty good! I picked it up without knowing anything but platforming was involved. The graphics are really good, and the dialogue is fun. My only gripe is that sometimes I couldn't make the character do what I wanted. It felt partly skill issue, and partly some unresponsiveness, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the game. It's short, about an hour for me to go through all three chapters, but I also play a lot of precision platformers, so maybe 2-3 hours for someone who…

You can't help but feel like the most badass of badasses every time you make it through a level, and navigating is fast past and tons of fun! Love the scifi aesthetic, and the game itself is dripping with charm. A fantastic experience that any lover of precision platformers should check out!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really neat game. It's a fast paced precision platformer with a good sense of humor. It's also very unique design philosophy. It's not a combat game, It's all about the platforming. It can be a little glitchy. And there are some levels where I have no idea how to get the gold cup.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not expect Celeste or The End is Nigh level precise mechanics from this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great, gotta play more of it! It's a speedrunner's game. Go as fast as you can and look stylish doing it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like VELOCITY NOODLE!!!! +Sleek Cyberpunk precision platformer nailed to a "T"! +New mechanics to master each level leads to deep mechanics! +Secrets and time trials add much welcomed replayability! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid platformer with rockin' jams. I ran into a couple major issues that if resolved would greatly improve the game: 1.) Double Jumping is extremely inconsistent during many actions such as wall jumping or riding a boost chain up or sideways. 2.) Sliding requiring the player to press down + right or left also leads to some inconsistency and fully disables if you bump into the wall. Allowing the player to slide while against the wall or by pressing down would resolve this. 3.) The stage 2 boss…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and challenging. Reminds me of games like Celest and those trial and error types of games. Good level design and charming pixelart, soundtrack is kinda forgetable but not bad, just good enough as background noise. The game is not too short nor too long, just the right playtime in my opinion. I played it in stream and I was able to finish it in 2 to 3 hours (counting the time I was stuck in some more difficult parts). And yeah, there is one or another part I thought was kinda unfair, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A challenging platformer for speedrun enthusiast. It's easy to beat, but hard to master. You can complete each level easily if you take it slow, but the game encourage you to do it FAST! Lovely hidden gem, definitely recommend it! PS: Take this game slowly. I hurt my thumb with blisters by rushing the first few levels in an hour.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a really fun game, and im very excited to master the movement and get faster at completing the levels! It's definitely a good game for people that enjoy mastering mechanics and getting faster. But it's also fun for people that enjoy platforming games!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun 2d platformer if you like challenging levels, similar to celeste and super meat boy. Movement is a bit different but easy to learn after a couple of levels
