In Survivor Squad you control up to 4 members of a squad on missions to eliminate all zombies in an area, exploring and looting as you go about it. You can then craft new weapons and supplies at your bases, which cost those same resources to establish. You spend gas to travel from area to area, and there's a store. The fact that I can tell you everything about the game four sentences says a lot about what you're getting here.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This little flash game did not tickle my pickle. The shooting mechanics pretty well salt the experience and there's little else to get excited about. It's a fairly basic zombie survival experience. There are however some neat ideas in here and a campaign mode. This could have been a lot better with some polish and a little more work on the art.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3.2/10 - Glad this was in a bundle! Most importantly, I wouldn't buy this game. Zombie survival game, top down config. There isn't much to the levels, and your full visibility is within your flashlight beam. Seems like a crafty way to keep people from really seeing the game for what it is. Mediocre. Not worth $9. Maybe 90 cents. Accidently Reviewed Was this review helpful or maybe even not helpful? Either way join this group for more. Free Keys and Reviews weekly!…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It took me giving it a second chance to really enjoy everything this game has to offer. Once I got into it, I understood the strategy and how to beat most areas on the first try. Considering the low price, I think it is well worth a try to anyone that thinks it may be fun for them. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An RTS should have easy to use controls that allow switching of selected characters and fluid movements. This game has none of that as well as a camera that moves with delay/wobble. Not to mention that there is constant screen flashing due to lightning that gave me headaches. While the game works, it isn't worth the sale price of $0.39 or the actuall retail price.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Survivor Squad is a pretty fun game. Controls are a bit wierd but once you get used to it, it's okay. (There is the option to change the key bindings) The game is pretty repetitive and it gets very difficult as you progress through the game. I haven't been able to finish the story mode yet. The game is a bit buggy but it is still playable. If you do want to try this, look up videos about it and get it when it's cheap because I don't think it's worth buying it for $8.99 Overall I would rate it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very simple tactics game, pause, aim team at enemy, un-pause, repeat. Fail to respond with pause fast enough, fail. There's some pseudo-replay value in the fact that the city and each mission location is random-generated, but unfortunately most of it feels identical no matter how theoretically random it was; there really just isn't enough variety to support it being random. The game probably would have benefited from being more hand crafted. The biggest downfall is that the game is not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks like it could be great little strategy game, but the game is full of bugs and problems. Hard pass, give another title a shot.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple game when you're in a simple mood.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is entertaining enough, but every time I save a game and come back, I've lost 3-4 areas and have to retake them. That including small bugs with players getting dragged into tables and afterwards being unable to move, poor and pretty much non-exsistant end game gear/upgrades and monotenous level-design have pretty much extinguished my interest.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has a steep and very sudden learning curve, which is only hampered by the fact you can't shoot and move (even with a pistol or melee) but they the zombies are perfectly capable of doing both, as well as the fact that your sqaud has permadeath and isn't able to heal unless you find medical items. No, returning back to base doesn't restore your health. worst of all you need food everyday and have no way of repleneshing it unless you find more during scavenging, which requires fuel to both…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not that bad but also very limited, you barely have any options to control your team members, loot can be random and not at all at your favor and hordes constantly attacking you when you have to search every little place for hidden switch is cheat and could be very brutal especially at the beginning of the game. Simple, repetitive, not much control and reason to keep playing developers moved to new and upgraded version of this long time ago and so should you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really supprised when i got this, i thought it would be some tiny game not really worth the money, but then i got it and it's amazing, although it needs to be nerfed, i'm on easy diff and i can't get pass a danger level 3 zone witrh 4 survivors all equipt with sultors and one m16 (can't remember what's it's called in game) axes, 2 thick armors and 1 padded, 1 decoy and 2 cameras, this is the best gear i could have ever gotten because all city's behind me are cleared and i picked up as…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Endlessly clunky gameplay. Doesn't match the showcased gameplay and screenshots.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent idea with horrible implementation. No one knows how to use their weapon, special zombies freely use their abilities through walls, the ui is poor, and the mechanics are buggy. 3/10, and that's just because the game is very technically playable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is RTS not twin stick shooter so keep that in mind before playing. Overall you wanna grab Doorkickers, Hotline Miami or Frozen Cortex instead, because there're so many better alternatives your head will spin 720. Bad visuals and shallow gameplay represents this one and If that's not enough to scare you off from this game then I don't know what to tell you. Generally speaking don't waste time on this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game doesn't really function properly, with a lot of bugs and other problems. Gave it a shot for over an hour and cant say it was overly enjoyable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game that needs a lot more polish. The concept is good, but everything else is subpar, at best. This feels like one of those indie games that was made by somebody who never made a game in their life. They tried really hard, but they need way more experience in the everything department; from the graphics to the controls. This game is rough. It feels like I am playing the first or second draft of a game concept.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game to relax :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh look! Another game completed abandoned by the developers because they got a taste of money. Do not waste your time supporting this developer unless you just really want to waste $10. It's really kind of sad too because it had a LOT of potential. And by a LOT I mean I would've paid $40 for this game to be fleshed out and fully realized. Unfortunately the developer is a money-hungry sellout.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is worse than any games i have played.....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tactical shooter with top view. Plain. Linear. Boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are better ways to waste your time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun for 30 cents :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →after playing this one for a little bit, i actually like it more than gauntlet, the game has a few bugs, but they arent as noticable as gauntlet, each mission is finishable easily, so far I enjoy it more than gauntlet.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Survivor Squad is a top-down strategic survivor management game. The review will be represented with a simplistic "Pros/Cons/Neutral" format. Pros: * Can be run with even a potato * Been in multiple bundles, so value is cheap * Good concept * Scavenging * Mechanics like the horde, which make you hide indoors * Still manages to create a believeable atmosphere * A lot of gameplay hidden here Neutral: * Stealth, but extremely whimsily made * Graphics look like they were made with paint sometimes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a horrible bore. Apparently I only played 17 minutes until I uninstalled it, but it felt like 2 hours.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game has a fair amount of annoying jank, and the other modes besides the campaign are way above my skill level, and have more of a difficulty cliff than curve, but i was willing to forgive that at first cause the campaign was fun. Or rather, the campaign was fun up until i found the secret lab, at which point i was hit by a massive difficulty spike. see your units have absolute ass target proiritisation, but it's only really an issue if youre in a tight space, and becomes a laughable…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game to spend a few hours on the weekend trying to kill some time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Survivor Squad is a top down zombie shooter that is not that original. A lot of special zombies are very similar to Left 4 Dead (e.g. Spitters and Grabbers). Its not terrible but the controls are frustrating. I hate the pause button to attack zombies. You can't attack move which has been around for a long time. Its either pause and attack click or stop moving for automatic fire. Maybe I'm nit picking, but I find it annoying to pause the game every 5 seconds. Is it worth getting? There is a lot…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a dirt cheap mercenary version of Darkwood. I had two problems with this game; everything gets darker as I zoom our and the game won't save.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is made with a heart in mind, it really is made with love and it shows. Only problem is that there is a gamemechanic called " Hearts " in it that makes it broken. On a map with hearts, as long as there are pumping big hearts on the map there spawns an endless mass of zombies. So if you dont find secret buttons to unlock the rooms where the hearts are you are doomed. Its allready hard with the hearts in itsfels without having to find a secret weird button that is located elsewhere in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game lacks any kind of real challenge. The most effective tactic is usually just parking your squad outside a building and mowing down all the zombies as they execute their single AI routine. After 30 seconds, the zombies that didn't attack you will be highlighted, so you will never be surprised from a dark corner. There is no tension. You can't even run out of ammo.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could have been an interesting real-time with pause zombie game. The tutorial was pretty decent up until I couldn't figure out how to leave the first level after completing it. I don't care enough to find a guide that explains what should have happened. I think I got this as part of a Humble Bundle, so the cost probably came out to like $0.40 to have this as part of my library. I would not own it otherwise.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not going to eat a thousand hours of your life, but every time you play this game you will have a lot of fun. A real steal for the price. You won't regret having this game in your collection.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun little game for cheap, graphics aren't mind blowing but the core gameplay is solid. Very pleased with this one, a real diamond in the rough!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Being unable to drag camera with middle mouse button makes this game unplayable for me. Unnaceptable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i dont have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue of what to do 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an indy top down procgen RTS/shootemup zombie survival game. While it may have been possible to swing such a game with an ace developer team, Survivor Squad does not deliver. The graphics are roughly grade 7 school student quality - they are laughable drawings. I think if they hire an artist and spend a bit more time and effort, as well as avoiding the "Procgen = content" fallacy, they may have some hope as game developers. But Suicide Squad is just not very good.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game would have been more fun with more features and a 4 player co-op mode. The game gets boring fast.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found the game difficult to understand, not pleasent to look at and did not give clear enough details for me not to do next, if this game were free it would be understandable but this is pretty much an 9 dollar game. I suggest you give this game a pass.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, however my main issue is that the game will toss you into a brick wall. What I mean by that is you go to your first level 3 area and get destroyed because tons of specials attack at once and all of your survivors die because they cannot fight the horde. I really do like this game but some changes need to be made so I can stop save scuming to get passed a single node, which is my only way to progress.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked this game all the way up to the point I was unable to use the LAN connection with My friend whom I als bought the game for. Turns out the developers haven't done anything for the past 2 years or so for this issue. The game will tell you than it was unable to automatically open Port 50056. I've attempted to manually open the port and it didn't seem to work. So I'm refunding My money on this game and warning others that this is what will happen.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No, Not going to Recommend this Top Down RTS Looter Game, Too little content, doing the same thing over and over again, everything feels the same. Just more annoying, and Consistent road block by progression system, there's no meaning full Rogue Element in this, so, your time are wasted once your hard train squard are down. You may skip this
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An exciting tactical shooter with engaging survival gameplay, diverse characters, and challenging missions that keep you on your toes for hours of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First Play, first End Bug, so the alarm went off, guy was searching the house, he wants to disable the alarm we just need to wait ourside so he can pay his respect to whoever. So risking my life to let him pay respect sure! but then he doesnt turn the alarm off, and he dies. And i end up in a limbo of spawning zombies where i cant get out anymore of the situation. Yeah seems fun NOT!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if this game was like 200 years ago... it was pretty good. now.. even 2013... just trash..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has no difficulty curve, more a difficulty cliff. Go from slaughtering zombo's as easy as breathing to a level with four hives locked inside alarmed buildings and wipe your entire squad instantly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a generic zombie game: rescue civilians, arm them, loot places, craft better stuff. Very good implementation if you like squad games which aren't too complicated. It's fairly casual but a good deal of fun for the price tag. Just because it's casual, it doesn't make it easy though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of fun I recommend it. Don't let the simple graphics throw you off not everyone is an artist. You travel around on the world map going to randomly generataed maps looting for supplies and blasting zombies. You can save other survivors along the way and have them join your team. On the world map you do some managment like giving your survivors gear, crafting new gear, leveling up survivors with skills and building bases. Like XCOM your squad has perma death so survivors will come and go.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tried to play the new campaign. Started doing awful screen shaking, with no way to turn it off, despite a menu option that claimed to disable it. Made it unplayable
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes frequently (usually at least once per day). The UI isn't polished, more what one would expect from a beta-version or unfinished product. There doesn't seem to be a manual or wiki site about crafting or instructions. Given that I bought it on deep discount, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, but it's still a disappointment.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game that tries to give the option of stealth, then every mission either has almost limitless spawning enemies or an alarm that blasts dragging enemies into you, both options rendering stealth pointless. That, and a terrible resource system, with little actually explained. Could've been good but was just an unfun, punishing game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →an interesting gameI do like it but its not my type of game even though it is a bit strategy in it and its not bad and it takes me back to some old games I played when I was younger so I recommend trying it. Gameplay 6/10 Graphics 5/10 Sounds 5/10
