Monsters in the first game were little moving white blobs and combat would commence if you ran into them. Also, once you killed them, they didn't re-spawn. In the future games, many of these blobs home in on you making it pretty impossible to escape them and they DO re-spawn if you leave and re-enter an area. Which means now you can power level. YAY. And if you don't want to power level, you won't have…

I fell asleep with it running lol But, I would recommend it. If you haven't played the others, start there or the story will make zero sense.

The two agree and the group travel to Sancaro continent, the most dangerous in the world. Where the prison Amelia's mother is held is believed to be. The continent where the Illion Cult is strongest. This is the fourth and final part of the Last Heroes saga. Here the company of friends will find the answers to mysteries, and end grave…

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RPG Maker strikes again! Last Heroes 4 is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. Just like the previous games in the same series,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Heroes 4 concludes a traditional fantasy role-playing series with an adventure that embraces the nostalgic charm of classic 16-bit RPGs. Developed by Warfare Studios and published by Aldorlea Games, the game focuses on familiar storytelling, exploration, and character-driven progression rather than modern innovations. Released in April 2017, it represents a modest independent production designed primarily for players who appreciate straightforward fantasy adventures. Its greatest strength…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After Last Heroes 2 and 3 took the series to rock bottom with endless backtracking, pointless story, and game-breaking bugs, Last Heroes 4 is a return to form and is surpassed only by the original Last Heroes as the best installment of the series. But that's not saying much. At all. Give credit where credit is due: With Last Heroes 4 developer Warfare Studios seemed to have finally learned that padding a game's length by forcing the player to slog through every encounter and traverse every…
