You play as a small bug, that swims around picking up elements to evolve yourself. The more you eat, the bigger and more advanced you become. It is worth the cheap price for a short, but decently entertaining experience. For the achievment hunters, it took me a total of about 3 hours to gain 100% achievments.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game was fun when it was a new java game many years ago. Unfortunately, the concept has not evolved at all and the result is just more of the same. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Clearly inspired by Flow. Swim around and consume stuff while trying to beat your opponent. For a game like this it's missing some things like predators and objects that should be avoided. Plenty of stages but they all play the same. You can dive dipper or back by scrolling mouse wheel. Creature evolves as you play and food becomes harder to find. Stages are long and boring. Music sounds like a broken record constantly crackling into your ears. Not recommended, play Flow instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite it's name "Sparkle 2", this is the first Sparkle game. Wtf? Once again a game inspired by the cell stage from "Spore", but unlike the combat-focused "Sipho" or the scientifically-accurate "Thrive", this game is way too casual ! There are no threats or death. No challenge whatsoever. All you do is collect 70 of this, 100 of that. Boring and tedious. At least the detailed insect-like design is better than in the sequels..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every time I attempted to start a mission, the game would get errors and crash on me.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A relaxing game about eating things to grow more powerful. It's simple but entertaining and very easy to finish and perfect. I think this game goes on sale for less than a buck too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The marketing of the game was: "Control the evolution with the touch of your finger." So, the concept of the game is to evolve as a tiny micro-organism that eats various nutriens and other life forms, becoming bigger and developing various abilities. It's an interesting idea and I must say.....I would like to see more games with such concept ( that is - evolution and chosing your own path ). The end product ( game-play ) however, is very different, and incredibly simplistic. You are a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very relaxing game. It is a really beautiful and easy game to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sparkle 2 Evo is a pretty game with nice music. It is different and not without its own special charm. You evolve from a simple small organism into a large creature, whose characteristics are determined by what colors of food you eat. And by eat, I mean direct your creature to swim into the floating color-coded nutrients at precisely the right angle. Which brings up the fact that the controls don't do exactly what you want them to do sometimes, although they are very simple. The game provides a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A HIDDEN GEM and so much value for money. I'm impressed by this little small beautiful universe of evolution. This is a very relaxing, chilling game and the soundtrack makes you relax even more. Beautiful graphics for that kind of game. The setup is to develop your own race or as called sparkle. Your goal is to get your sparkle develop of your choises you make. There are to modes, a really relaxing mode, no hurry or anything and the other is a comphetive mode against the AI. It reminds me of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remember the first stage in Spore? This game is pretty much that +Good visuals +Relaxing gameplay -Buggy controls in some stages
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bland, repetitive and boring, with floaty, imprecise controls (each level is exactly the same, like you're playing the flOw game, minus the art style - you either eat all your competition on your own or compete against AI, which makes levels pass by faster, but difficulty of your opponent varies immensely)

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What is most important about a good review is when it takes into consideration many factors such as price, bugs, support, immersion, intuitive gameplay, and most important intent. The intent is the one most players overlook, because while they are trying to judge a game on what they feel it "should be" they often fail to consider what it was intended for. The entire Sparkle series hits their intent perfectly. Bugs are minor, price is good, and it does not take a lot of brainpower to figure…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Weird, but, I played this game a lot when I was a child. Nostalgia. The last couple levels are interesting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Synopsis Recommended with a caveat: Buy it on sale, and only if you have a lot of patience. Sparkle 2 Evo is a very simple but visually-impressive game about the life of an ever-evolving aquatic microorganism. While it's extremely pretty and has an enjoyable and relaxing soundtrack, its design quirks and repetitive, tedious gameplay make it better suited to those who are very patient and not easily frustrated. Gameplay Imagine yourself as a tiny, translucent microorganism, called a Sparkle,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is pretty much Spore's cellular stage but with no sense of urgency and some fairly relaxing music. The "walking simulator" version of a puzzle game, if you will. You go through levels eating anything that you can find until you've eaten enough things of the same color to go to the next stage so you can do it all over again. Your stats will change depending on the colors you eat, but in practice you won't really care about them and just eat whatever makes your creature look pretty (or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is barely a game. It's like the spore cell stage except it doesn't go anywhere... your character doesn't really change and there's no competition or excitement. It's just swimming around finding the food. The game is very pretty, but without gameplay behind it it's very meh.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately I can't recommend this, even though the basic premise is fun and I enjoyed playing what I could, which was the first few levels. After that, in one level the food elements needed to be collected lodged in a wall and were unreachable, leaving not enough food reachable to finish the level. I scoured every layer of the level but there was nothing anywhere and so eventually gave up. Too bad, the graphics are cool and it's an interesting concept. Maybe still worth it for a low…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have never played this. But this game is good for Steam Idle Master , so I recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You might as well buy Spore and just play the first evolution stage. Its way better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like a spore game. Relax music. You can earn achievements. You can get trading cards.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great little gem for a great price, easy to play, quick to learn and a lot of fun to play whether you are looking to break from your main game, or if your just looking to kill some time, this little gem is just the thing for you. We have a very visually appealing game here, with bright and beautiful colors, levels that were neatly designed filled with color and a lot of detail. The music accompanying the game adds to the overall gameplay enhancing it and giving it that calm and relaxing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is certainly beautiful, but the gameplay is just non-existant. "Evolving" is really just what food sources do you eat more of, red, green, or blue. It is just an endless cycle of eating everything. There is no real choice or benefit to the way you evolve, other than your apperance. And other creatures never really pose any threat. It might have just been buggy, but when I tried the boss fights, they didn't actully do anything, just let me swim inside their skull and eat their brains.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's OK. I received all Sparkle games within a large game bundle. You definitely see an improvement in each game, which is understandable.... The goal of the game is quite confusing at first. But you get the hang of it. Runs on Windows 10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is broken. in 4 of 5 level the last ressource of 2 colours spawned out of bounce. repeative and boring. ai of challenge mode is super slow and dumb. (bumping in walls for 3 minutes)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even if it only have three evolution paths it still has feel of real-life plankton. Graphics is nice and fonts are not pixelated which is good but buttons should have frame. For those who want little relaxation after hard day I recommend this game because it is worth the money (although I got it for free).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best to chill out after a long day
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sparkle 2 Evo was pretty fun. You swim around eating smaller organisms and evolving your little creature as you go. It’s a simple idea, but I enjoyed it, and it’s a nice one to chill out with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has a bug after the octopus level that does not allow to change layer, and you need to restart the game to fix it. I was stuck in a level with too many layers where I cannot find the remaining color stuff, and the radar does not indicate anthing remaining (possibly a bug). Some color orbs do not lower the counter, which seems like another bug or made on purpose to make the levels last longer. The game is repetitive and boring. Levels appear in a weird order, so it is hard to know which you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A calm and visually pleasing evolution game where you slowly grow and adapt your creature. Relaxing gameplay with a nice atmosphere.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's better than the first Sparkle game, in that it's more complex and has more of a "game" aspect to it. You just push your "sparkle" (Looks more like a water insect) into everything it can to eat and level to get fatter and (hopefully) faster. I don't know what other parameters are necessary other than speed, and it doesn't matter. You battle against an AI copy of your sparkle to eat as much as possible, and there's a bit of a learning curve as later on there are different ocean creatures…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sparkle 2 Evo is an unconventional evolution-themed arcade experience developed and published by Forever Entertainment S. A. that places mood, atmosphere, and player choice above traditional challenge or competition. Instead of presenting a rigid objective-driven structure, the game invites you into a surreal aquatic void where you control a small, glowing organism and slowly guide its growth through exploration and consumption. From the very beginning, the focus is not on survival in a harsh…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is somewhat short and lacks a good ending, but is fairly entertaining as simple as it is i cannot recommend the game though as the pc port textures are completely bugged and always in awful resolution i doubt this will get fixed so do not buy this game on steam the switch port is perfectly playable though so try it there if you are interested i can't find a fix but if there is post it in the comments, i'll change my review if it works

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun casual game, the bosses were a bit tough, specifically the Octury. The reason the Octury was so difficult is there was no in game instructions of what the hecc you're supposed to do... and then there's a bug where sometimes you go to dive, but do not, then you dive again, and you get stuck in the mid-section, unable to eat the tentacles. Only way I've found to fix that is keep restarting the level.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a simple 2D top down arcade style game where you steer an organism around a protoplasmic environment killing competitor organisms and eating nutrients to grow and evolve. Controls and gameplay are pretty smooth and nice, while the graphics are simple, they look okay. Unfortunately the developer superseded this game with Sparkle 3, so I can't recommend this game over the next one, and it makes no sense for them to leave this on the store.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sparkle 2 Evo is a game where you go around as a possible microscopic creatures eating each other in control for dominance. Brilliant graphics and an excellent n soothing soundtrack. In my opinion this game is extremely fun and is worth getting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The entire Sparkle series is basically an indie shovelware, totally forgettable games with simple and boring gameplay.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah this is a pretty ♥♥♥♥ game. It's pretty, but not fun at all. Thought it would be like a better looking Agar.io, but there's no challenge. Imagine Agar if all you did was eat dots instead of fight against other characters.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very interesting game. You evolve a creature and the only control you have over the direction of evolution is the kind of "food" you get. And that is where the fun begins. You can go for a "balanced" diet and get benefits from all lines, evolving faster (sometimes 3 times in one area) but taking more time to open other areas. Or you can choose just one line - getting a small but fast and ferocious carnivore or a big but slow herbivore - and opening the other areas in less time, but evolving…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Meandering and rather pointless, it's visuals over everything else.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a relaxing singleplayer game. You can evolve based on what colors you eat. The music is relaxing and great, but the visuals are also so pretty. The controller instructions are hidden in the manuel and if you use more than one screen you might need to turn of the game to get out of level at some times. Badges, achievements and cards exist in this game. So if you want kind off a short and relaxing singleplayer game then this might be a inexplensive game that you might like. Have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some people describe games like this as relaxing. In this case, that's just another word for boring. You swim around eating different coloured balls until you grow bigger. That's it. There's no puzzles to solve, story to read, or interesting scenery to take in. The different ways you can evolve aren't particularly interesting either. Verdict: 2/10
