60 of 184 · most liked firstIn-game advertising. Could be the best game in the world and I'd downvote over this. I get that you're not a giant company, but this isn't a little news article on a feed, where the feature has another actually useful purpose behind it. There's at least three places in the UI that exist exclusively to sell me another title, and it's unacceptable. This is a paid-for product on the PC market. You need to respect it like one, like everyone else.

If you're looking for a Motherload experience, give this a pass. If you want something casual and mindless, then this is it. Barring my gripe with what this game is trying to be, it does it well. The music, graphics and other mechanics are well made. I'm sure some will enjoy but BE…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first screen you see when you load the game up just looks like a mobile ad, showing DLC to buy, stuff that's on sale, and their other games. Pressing escape also highlights some advertisment for something Fun enough game otherwise, but gonna leave a negative review for in game ads
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is good. Unfortunately, it seems to have been designed around the revolutionary concept of wasting as much of the player's time as humanly possible. There is no proper full map, so congratulations, you will get lost. Constantly. You go mining, take a few turns, find some interesting resources, and suddenly you're playing "Where the ♥♥♥♥ Am I?" instead of a mining game. You also can't mine stone. Not even to throw it away as trash. Apparently, stone is sacred and must remain…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played for an hour or so....was kinda over it...realized it could probably be an ez farm for the 100% trophy; only reason I persevered. Cringe dialog, boring gameplay, no reason to explore anywhere, yada yada yada. 4.5/10 Would not recommend

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is a good improvement upon the original game for the first site on each planet. The ability to build mines and platforms whilst mining are a great addition to the gameplay loop and fixes a major frustration I had with the first game. However past the first 3 tiers, the gameplay loop gets very stale and doesn't iterate on any of the gameplay features introduced and is the same as the first 3 sites but now you can go deeper with the upgrades you can unlock not feeling like they make…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feel like slop with fake reviews. I absolutely hated how progression was handled, beat the level, get new parts for the next level. Also promises made by the steam page have were never fulfilled. You never build your own mech, no more than you build minecraft steeve when you play minecraft.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting concept, but feels way too grindy without much fun. Each planet gets you a new part for each function of your machine, however there are no interesting choices to make, each part is always strictly better than the previous one, so there is no reason to pick an older part or try out a different combination. Starting a game also immediately throws you into the story without any explanation or introduction, leaving you to pick up on the relationship between the different characters all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This improves on its predecessor in all ways. Progression is more linear, and progression isn't just controlled by money. You need to collect specific resources to upgrade your mech and install buildings in the mines. Quality of life stuff too, like being able to store ores in the bank and permanent teleporters without cooldown. The art style still suggests this is a microtransaction or AI slop game. It's not, so don't be scared off by that. The gameplay is consistent and not ruined by combat…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No purpose at all after a while, ok to play mindlessly while watching something or doing something else but after first planet, you've seen and done everything... Everything else is just a repeat checklist forever.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →MM was a fun little digging game that while it didn’t do anything out of the ordinary, it was a good time and it knew when to stop. SMM is a sequel that tries to be bigger and better. It succeeds in most areas but it introduces new problems that mostly affect the pacing. Just to put things in perspective: the original game took me a little over 9 hours to go through all the content and get all the achievements. The sequel took me over 22 hours to get all the achievements but there are still 7…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very repetitive with bad dialogue. All of the upgrades are simple tiny buffs to movement, capacity, or power with nothing that challenges or engages the player
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was enjoying the game and was excited to come back and go through the DLC. I thought I would prestige and be able to get back to where I was decently quickly given the amount of money I had, but they added another progression gate in the form of keys, making money completely obsolete and all the progress before the DLC pretty much meaningless. Dropped the game immediately.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The 'build your own mech' part got me, but there is none of that, just the standard lineal upgrade menu. I think the dev should remove the build your own mech part from the description because its incredibly misleading
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a good time wasting game. if youre looking for something engaging, probably not the move. but its a fun "me go mine, me get resources, me sell recources. me do again" type game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super Mining Mechs is a pixel-art mining and exploration game that delivers a surprisingly deep experience, blending arcade-style resource gathering with customizable mech upgrades and multiplayer co-op action. Developed by Delayed Victory, this indie title strikes a careful balance between simplicity and complexity, offering a satisfying loop of mining, upgrading, and strategizing. While it builds on the original game with a number of refinements and expanded mechanics, this sequel finds its…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super Mining Mechs is an expansion of the original Mining Mechs with a bigger story, new mechanics, and more materials. Unfortunately, this bigger scope doesn't change the game's main loop, but simply lengthens it. This is fundamentally the first game, but stretched out, and with voice acting of its terrible, cliched storyline. Normally I'd go into the various aspects of the game in a review -- story, graphics, audio, controls, etc. In this case, however, while none of them are problematic,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5/10 it's a lot of fun to start with but the game lacks any satisfying progression. Move to new planet, mine for awhile to get an incremental increase in maximum depth, ore load and soil capacity. Without an engaging story it wears thin pretty quickly.

unlabelledView post →Woke game filled with their political nonsense.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: If you liked the previous game you'll probably like this one since the core gameplay of mining down for resources remains the same. However, most other changes worsen the overall experience. Not-recommended verdict because: The previous game, Mining Mechs, had a very graceful simplicity to it. The gameplay and design decisions, while not always perfect, all served an identifiable purpose and executed that purpose well. I expected Super Mining Mechs to take the elements from the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very Addictive game, very easy concept and fun game. a little bit of grinding for all achievements but its not too much grinding! VERY GOOD OVERALL GAME
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is exactly what it is shown to be. Don't expect anything deep, just fun lil grind to chill.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it is 2 buck's but it feels like a mobile game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it to play co-op with a friend and they somehow made Motherload a 20+ year flash game mechanically worse/more boring and filling it to the brim with the most annoying "jokes" ever
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This actually ended up being a really pleasant surprise all the way around. The sound track is pretty decent and the game is also fully voice acted, so it is already better than a modern Pokemon game.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't recommend, very repetitive boring grind, save your time and play some good'ol Motherload. P.S. Thank you for response! We purchased SMM, because of coop and ability to build, which I believe could be a strong side of the game. However, after 2 evenings we faced the very harsh reality of tedious grind-to-grind and lack of above mentioned mechanics. My very subjective suggestions to improve the game drastically: - Add coop mechanics, even simple ones like mining 1 tile together speeds…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a big old mining video game sale going on which is music to my ears. You get Mining Mechs, Super Mining Mechs, and this game Bore Blasters for about $11. I love digging games I don't know why it's monotonous but relaxing. Woooooo!!! #Steam #Videogames
unlabelledView post →Liberal woke game with hidden agenda. Game is dangerous to young children. Unfortunate since its such a fun game to play. Leave your politics where they belong, not in games. We pay our hard earned money to buy something so that we can relax and escape the real world not have your liberal agenda shoved down our throats.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →way to short and nothing too special beyond slightly different ways of digging down. I was expecting more for some reason.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would like to politely say that this game is trash. Woke ass fluff. Girl bosses, trash political comments. Basically take a half-fun game and then just stuff it full of political feminist BS and I mean that in the most polite way.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a child I yearned for the mines
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As much as I enjoyed first game, the same I was frustrated playing this one. A lot of irritating mechanics which we never ask for: upgrade using special resources, mines and special buildings just to progress further, prestige system for skills which you don't want to use in order to avoid another slowdown in your progress. Game was made just to force you beat it slower than previous one. What in the end? Well, the same amount of time playing with only difference that previous one I beat…

It has some grind but not in stressful way. Achievements can be completed easily and if you want you can keep on playing to 100% the game. I haven't played the DLC yet but surely it's on my plans. ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Beautiful ☑ Good ☐ Decent ☐ Bad ☐ Don‘t look too long at it ☐ MS-DOS ---{ Gameplay }--- ☐ Very good ☑ Good ☐ It's just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bigger is not always better. Game starts of pretty cool and has a great vibe. But then Map 2 of Islandora is a 1000 meter trek with Tier 5 gear demanding hundreds of resources. One that just refused to drop even after dozens of Cobalts with the max drop upgrade. But I perservered. Iselandora Map 3? 2000 meters! ♥♥♥♥ that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Of all of the "Just one more run" games, this one was probably the worst for my sleep cycle! Just one more run always ended up being at least another 30-60 minutes, which would fly by in an instant. If you enjoyed the first game, you'll love this one, as the QoL changes made in this one were amazing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the game, hated the ultra preachy ending. ProTip: Being preachy runs fun. There first game was a good first attempt, but this first one was a massive improvement on all levels. *Well* worth $5!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super Mining Mechs? More frustration than fun. The graphics are okay, but the gameplay is boring and repetitive. It didn’t grab me at all—honestly, I expected way more. Not recommended.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A little over complicated compared to the first one. I would recommend the OG and it's DLC over this one, but if you loved those and want a little more advanced gameplay it's good. Personally the simple UI of the first one is much more appealing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very satisfying time waster. Who doesn't like digging holes to extract the riches of the earth ?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing fun game. It really evolved from the first one in a nice way highly recommend it if you liked the first one. Hats off to the developer for being so friendly and helpful with any technical issues.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far so good. It's okay at most. The game in itself is pretty simple and it might be the problem. There's just nothing special about it. It's pretty much alway the same thing at every tier. I haven't played much yet and I will keep going and might change my review later but for now it's a no for me. Maybe it's better in coop but I didn't actually bought this game with coop in mind so I sure hope all the fun doesn't revolve around this. I don't think it's a bad game but it's still pretty…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is god awful, ai poster and it just doesn't even work half the time bro.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good little time waster, however, the game feels like it should've just been an update for the original. Excited to see the third entry.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The devs found a good few ways to improve upon their original design from the first game. PROS: -The resource progression is simple with resources fitting into categories, but also has a certain depth involving a simplified Periodic Table. -Many new planets to visit and a new building system that does, at times, feel like a bit of tedium. Adds some needed depth CONS: -The voice acting from Fiverr.... is HORRENDOUS. It's the same crew that voiced Ale & Tale Tavern. I mean seriously bad…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Gameplay loop does not feel good at all
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super Mining Mechs was a bit less fun for me than the first game. The sequel has more options, more missions and even lets you build your own mech, but personally I enjoyed the first game more. I still finished the game and it definitely wasn't bad. It just didn't have the same feeling that made the first one so fun for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's ok I guess, it appeals to me cuz I'm a simple manchild. you dig big holes into ground and upgrade your drill to make bigger holes. Then you start placing fans and connecting wires together and I've now just lost interest. This always happens when I play Minecraft, you start explaining mechanics to me that doesn't involve digging a hole and nothing else then I'm out of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's embarrassing how much I played this for how basic it is. Could use some quality of life improvements, but yeah, if you want to dig through a grid to get thingies that help you dig through a grid, this does that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could not get access to it. Super grindy, clunky menus and, what really sets me off each time, no left handed controls. There's tons and more tons of games where you go out, gather resources and come back to upgrade stuff. At least in solo the game misses the "wow, this is unique" effect.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not sure what's up with all the negative reviews. I thoroughly enjoyed the game. Its a massive improvement over the original. 20.5 total hours played and all achievements earned. Excited to jump into Mining Merchant next!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review After 100% Achievements The classic Motherload-like game. Just like the first one, this game was a solid 10/10. Amazing to just turn your brain off to relax and play. Excited to play the next game! The achievements are run of the mill beat the game and also upgrade everything. Along with a few others you would get by accident. Difficulty to 100% 2/10 Time to 100% 20hr~
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Who ever made this game should consider a new line of work
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →IF YOU WANT SUPER MOTHERLOAD 2 DO NOT BUY THIS. IF YOU WANT A BASIC, CASUAL, COLORFUL MINER; BUY THIS. I personally did not enjoy this (for the reasons below), but I'm recommending it anyway because of how the developer communicated. _______________________________ Feedback for developer below. - the movement is clunky. (controller) While this is understandable to a degree (it's a mining rig), it found it really frustrating to fly up to 1x1 square gaps and to just navigate tunnels in…
