60 of 207 · most liked firstThis is by no means a fleshed out review. Just my random thoughts on how fun this game is. A friend found it and steered me towards it and holy cow is it fun. Mine, craft and sell your jewellery and get upgrades to not only your equipment and personal skills but also to your shop and tech upgrades. This game has a lot of depth. For the price on launch I highly recommend grabbing it if you like what you hear. Best of all it is a game you can take at your own pace. I am going through a hard…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright. Mining Merchant is done and dusted. This is a fun and, dare I say, cozy mix of Steamworld Dig-like meets shop management sim. It's a game that encourages exploration and digging deeper in the mining part, while having the expectation of you managing a reasonably fast paced jewelry shop in the shop management part. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3722468157 First off, there is a story, and it progresses as you move through days running your mining operation and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Copper is way too much of a bottleneck for this to be enjoyable long term. Why is the most common resource required for nearly every craft in the game? it turns the loop from exploring and looking for rare and valuable items into methodically strip mining every single bit of copper you ever run into because you know even if you clear all the copper you see it still wont be enough to burn through your other resources. Please just make copper needed for bronze items and leave it out of everything…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the mining mech franchise and art style. Dev did some serious upgrades this time. Change in leveling systems seem better for this one instead of the constant need to buy different parts/upgrades. The merchant features give some nice extra depth to the game to keep it fresh and less grindy. Definitely recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So incredibly boring.... The game desperately needs to lean heavily into automation (idle clicker) or knock it off with the dependence on copper ore and bronze bars. If you want to craft bronze bars you need a load of copper, ok, but then if you want to craft silver bars you need a load of copper, if you want to craft gold bars you need a load of copper.... If you want to craft a silver ring you still need bronze bars as well as silver, if you want to craft gold rings you still need bronze…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For those in the age of flash mining games. This is nostalgia wrapped up in a functional game. A wonderfully paced game that does the upgrade skill system well, and overall has few faults. If you are after a 100% achievement run you are looking at around 12 hours
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite the departure from the Mining Mechs games. Mining activities feels less rewarding(by way of being inflated and overly-rewarding). A lot of focus is put on tedious, repetitive over-world crafting/shop-keeping activities. I thought it would be more of an automatic thing, but no, heavy focus is put on doing and managing those things manually. That's just not my cup of tea with this sort of game. It might be yours though! The UI and controls are, at least with a controller, clunky and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe I'm missing something as I've only played 2 hours before getting bored out of my mind, but it feels like this is just an average story with some repetetive gameplay glued onto it. Each day is split up into 2 sections: Mining section: Pretty average mining game, this is the part I have the least issues with as I like the genre in general (big fan of number go up -> upgrade -> number go up faster games). I didn't get a chance to check if the mining actually progresses in a fun way, as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you dont look at the previous two games, this is a great game that combines the old Motherlode flash gameplay with a basic management minigame alongside it. In a way it reminds me of Dave the Diver but mining instead of fishing, and i mean that as a compliment. however, as someone who played the previous two games in the franchise, i cant help but feel a bit disappointed. Gone is the sense of wonderment what's next to find, as you work hard to upgrade your mech to go deeper and deeper.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought this would be similar to the first game, which was all about the mining part and exploring the underground. Its what made the original game this is inspired by, Motherlode, so interesting and fun to play. A simple gameplay loop with a relatively simple goal and just mining around. For NO reason at all this game just immediately throws that out the window, and adds a stupid useless shop minigame, making like 70% of the game about crafting some useless jewelery and selling it at a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd recommend this to anyone with fond memories of Motherload. Scratches that itch just right.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a nice, relaxing experience overall. the only thing I struggled with was the 1337 achievement (just head to X:13, Y:37 on the map) as a small QoL suggestion, it would be great if crafting timers were still visible in the top right corner below the date even after leaving the stations
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far its great! Like the small changes made to add more to it over the previous games! Cant wait to see what else becomes of it. One thing PLEASE MAKE ESCAPE BUTTON COLLAPSE MENUS!!! This is driving me NUTS. E to open menu and E to close is fine but if a menu is already open please allow escape button to close out of a menu too! Thanks!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Gameplay has finally been refined to perfection, been a fan of the franchise since the first game in 2023, fully recommend Rock and Stone
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →65/67 Stars Mining Merchant is an Absolute Masterpiece That Ruined All Other Games for Me Forever. Mining Merchant isn't just a game it's a life-changing, soul-enriching experience that single-handedly revived my faith in humanity, cozy gaming, and the pure joy of digging holes and selling shiny rocks. I went in expecting a cute little mining sim. I came out a changed person with a jewelry empire and a serious addiction to perfectly crafted necklaces. The mining loop? Flawless. Every tile…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the demo before and loved it, and I’m happy to say Mining Merchant is still just as great on full release (if not better). I really like the dynamic between shopkeeping, mining and smithing. Get this now!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The other games were fast simple and fun progression. This game is mostly a tutorial, everything is locked behind a quest, Ugly NPCs, no text speed, almost all actions require chat with an NPC(not instant text).
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review After 100% Achievements I really enjoyed the first 2 games. They both had lots of replayablility and you could customize your mech lots. It also had different worlds, you can sell dirt, buy items, hit crazy chains while mining, intuitive upgrades, and many more. This game has literally none of that. This game take the worst parts of the previous games and doesn't include any of the good stuff. It's SUPER grindy for no reason. The crafting takes forever if you auto craft/smith (even…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8 hours in and the grind is just so boring, it's like the game is either artificially increasing its length or is just badly balanced, because the gameplay loop got stale about 3 hours ago and it looks like I've got another 3 hours to go... Even selling the high-priced loot, the game feels poorly balanced with everything being so expensive to upgrade. The crafting minigames are painfully slow too and really interrupt the pacing of the game. At this point, playing is a chore, and it's truly a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found it rather slow and boring. The character movement was too slow and I didn't like the menu UI. Found my self hitting escape a lot to skip transition animations and it just pauses the game. Technically it functioned well, no complaints there. I quit after getting to first new biome.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mining Mechs was the first game by the developer with some beginner pains, but ultimately it was a great start bursting with potential. Super Mining Mechs is a sequel that improves on many aspects but it was bloated and not as well paced for it. It still came out as the better game imo. Mining Merchant is a spin-off that combines the gameplay of those games along with introducing new gameplay in the form of managing a shop and selling jewellery. And let me tell you, this new gameplay benefits…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fairly entertaining entry in the mining game genre. Instead of simply returning to the surface and instantly selling off all of the ores you dig up, you have to smelt the ores into bars and craft the bars into jewlery to then sell them at the end of each day via a simple shopkeeping simulator. No part of the game is overly complex, but it all functions together for an enjoyable experience. The very early parts of the game definitely feel a bit slow, but once you unlock the ability to set…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far, a cute little game. - Looks like the dev actually listened to some Demo feedback. ;) I could use more Goblin friends in co-op. To bring all this loot home.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pacing just didn't feel as good as the other games from this dev. After the initial novelty it just felt like a grind but there was still so much to go. Also a lot of long repeated animations and waiting that just didn't help in keeping me interested.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to revise my review based on further playtime. The game does get better after you get through day 10. In the beginning there's just too much being thrown at you in the form of long dialogue. Yes, you can skip it, but then you're skipping the story; so I felt inclined to read. DO NOT use a controller for this game. It was not made with controller in mind. There's certain functions that are impossible to preform on controller and the mini-games just aren't fun with the controller. KB+M…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really addictive, very well balanced and the dev is super fast and attentive when it comes to dealing with any minor tweaks that might be needed at this early stage. I particularly love the cycle of how long you have to mine, compared with when you return to the shop because it doesn't get stale. The story elements are also really sweet and dare I say... Cozy? Pefect for unwinding, without too much pressure, without getting boring. If you've played the other games in the series, DEFINITELY…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing and addictive! Awesome chill game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great follow-up game to the other games in the franchise. The animation style and soundtrack are top-notch and having a blast with the digging and crafting mechanics. Almost burned my pasta bolognese because I tried mining a couple of more tiles while cooking. As a dad I can't wait to put more hours into this game after the children have gone to bed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love playing the other mining games this dev has put out so far, you should definitely buy this game. If you love playing incremental games, especially ones with some shop management, you should definitely give this game a try. If you love cozy and/or mining games in general, and are looking for a new game to wind down and turn your brain off for a bit, you should definitely give this game a try. Personally, I checked all the boxes above so I got the game, completed it, and can say…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is incredible! Reminds me of the old school flash games I used to play (MotherLode I think?) Also the game has so much content, wow!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid mining and crafting game. Eventually you can start automation and then it is mostly mining and selling jewelry with some shop updates, Lots of biomes to discover, a decent story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the mining side of the game, but the crafting is a bunch of mind numbing mini-games. Wouldn't have bought it if I had seen any warnings.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Out of the 3 Mining Mechs games this one takes the cake. The store adds a refreshing spin on a classic game style. Additionally the schedule with deadlines gives you motivation to keep playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Few things made me not enjoy it that much. Game picked up pace after few hours, and was very unintensive till then, i had days of break between sessions, because it felt not appealing. There are a lot of tedious things, even if there are some automation options, there could be even more, like automatically process resources over certain amount. Crafting jewelerry graphically is ok, but is so simplified, that there is no fun in it, it could use "minigame" mechanics and more complexity over…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game just isn't fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're on the fence and want to kill some time, for $5 it's probably worth picking up Mining Merchant. If you value your time then maybe just skip this one; it feels like an absolute chore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice waiting game... Too much grind and too repetitive (and i'm not talking about the digging part, this is fine) Previous game was better. For the price on sale, it's ok. Only reason for positive review...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Properly good. Every game in this series improves on stuff and I'm gonna keep buying 'em.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has got to be some kind of to dumb to use Google or watch a Youtube video on metal working AI generated game. If you have any back ground in Casting or Silver smith. Avoid this game! It will do nothing but annoy you to no end. No one uses a soldering iron to make a ring! You quench the ingot it self not the mold that would explode and kill you! Watch some videos and get off the AI. Bronze is a mix ingot after that none of then are! If you sold me a Silver or Gold ring and I found out…

unlabelledView post →This game scratches all the itches for me. Digging? Check. Collecting items? Check. Making money? Check. Upgrading systems? Check. --and so much more. My only gripe so far is that the control scheme isn't that great when E shares so many functions with scrolling through the consumable items. I can't count how many times I've pressed E to grab the pipe, pick up gems, open chests, etc. only to have accidentally switched items and teleported to the top instead of dropping a bomb on a core.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really fun sequel to mining mechs and super mining mechs, i love the crafting and upgrade system and the storyline is interesting would recommend 5*****
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 mining game Fun co-op, satisfying gameplay loops and funky tunes. Couldn't ask for more. Dev responds to bugs in real time. Buy a copy, then another copy for your friend. An improvement in every aspect on the previous games. Had a fantastic time in co-op

unlabelledView post →Played the previous Mining Mechs and Super Mining Mechs, I gotta say that for me this is definitely a step up. Really like the shopkeeping gameplay, for me it gives a lot more meaning to the whole mining part. Also, play this with friends, it's really fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like it's two games, and one of those games I would strongly recommend against. Let me explain that. First off, the mining game is great. I enjoy mining, I like the drilling, the exploring, the getting gems and ores and if I could just stop there. That'd be great. But there's another stage to this... You have to smelt the ores, turn them into jewellery and sell them in a mish mash of awful minigames and then a boring shopping experience that really could've just been automated.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The "Dirt" system is genius. No really, instead of an energy system you're given an amount of dirt you can carry before you're forced to go above ground. On top of that, you're given a daily amount of dirt your truck can hold before you need to go home. This means, instead of energy that punishes you for doing anything, you can play efficiently and be rewarded. It also plays really well into the story. ludonarrative harmony at its best. Game plays like an incremental game, but way longer and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels like this is just an average story with some repetitive gameplay.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is okay but I just want to mine...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love mining games. And this game is exactly what I want from a mining game. It's amazing and so addictive that I even forgot that I usually avoid pixel graphic games. 100% recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mining Merchant ⛏️ most excellent co-op game, I really enjoyed completing this with my spouse! It's a perfect balance of mining, collecting, crafting jewelry, and rebuilding the jewelry shop. There's tons of quests and upgrades to work towards. I especially loved the digging, and the themed calendar shop events! very fair price and well made! I think it's best to play co-op because a fully upgraded shop takes a LOT of stock (for our shop layout towards the end we needed around 54 jewelry…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is chill and great with a friend who is up for some unwinding at the end of the day. It is grindy, so that should be taken into account. For this price it's well worth playing. While I understand the negative reviews about copper difficulty, if you focus upgrading the truck to make higher tier items the copper costs are negated massively. In fact, at maximum tier you practically don't have to mine for copper/iridium anymore. I also saw quite a bit of criticism about the crafting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I saw Idlecub play some Mining Merchant today, and saw it was only 5 euros so i bought it and played some myself. Its a... motherload-like... with crafting minigames and item shop mechanics to. Theres so much effort in all the pixel art, and the game design and exploration are great.
unlabelledView post →I am a huge fan of Delayed Victory, and think he did a great job with the game. But as an experienced Super Mining Mech player (having over 150+ achievements over both games) I am fairly disappointed, and did decide to refund. Firstly the game does a lot of things right: Mining is fun, Crafting is fun, Earthquake as a reset mechanic is cool and fits with mining mech lore, contracts and paying for dirt storage is sweet, upgrade systems work well, and am happy with them. Things that are kind of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. If I had to fix 1 thing, please, for the love of the LORD OF THE MINES please switch pick up to R or SOMETHING I am so sick of spamming E to grab core fragments and then it spamming E into some random item that I did not pick and then hitting F I just use whatever RANDOM item it switched to. jesus that annoying as F***. otherwise 100/100
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was going great, nice cozy game....until you get into ingot and ring quality. For some reason....in a nice cozy digging game, some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ decided to introduce a rage inducing mechanic that doesn't let you mix ingot/ore quality. So I have an order for two 1 star rings, but a mismatch of ingots to make them. I can make TWO rings because all my ores are 3 stars, and I can't use them in 1 or 2 star recipes. I don't know what the ♥♥♥♥ happened over there, but its like they had a board…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game by discount and played through the story line with 8 hours. I feel sorry to say it but I will give it a bad. Here comes the details. Pros: 1. Intricate pixel art depicting a dreamlike cyberpunk background, a Vivid near-future city with spike mountains and arch, and 5 various biomes. 2. seasonally appropriate soundtrack. Especially the 100s-meter-deep junk yard with cyberpunk style BGM, and volcano music that makes the player feel the heat. 3. No health, no fuel, no oxygen,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's kinda a Dave The Diver-lite (simplified), would be the easiest comparison? You own a jewelry shop that you can upgrade & decorate and unlock different jewelry types eventually. After your shift is over, you travel to one of several mining locations with multiple biomes, where you can mine for ore and jewels using a mech. Once that's done you can smelt the ore into bars and craft jewelry by combining them with gems. Then you open up the shop again. There's also a storyline that centers…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →yeah I dunno about this one. It's painfully slow, even after nearly maxing your passive upgrades. You get constantly interrupted with tutorials and dialog. I'm on like week 4 and still can't go a whole day without some NPC pestering me about something. Also the dirt limits are too tight, renting a bigger dumpster is very expensive and not a forever upgrade so that just feels bad
