The enemy behavior is to simply run towards you and shoot. You die so quickly that this would be a problem, if you didn't arbitrarily outrange them. These factors combine into the thrilling gameplay of standing still and mowing down gangsters as they run into you in a straight line. After a mission, you'll be required to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GTA2 style shooter/racing game. City is atmospheric, the lighting and music really set the mood. Game is fairly linear, Mafia 1 style, but there are challenges on the map that you can find/do. Story is told through Max Payne 1,2 style comic strips, you follow the story of garbage man who finds suitcase full of money and get's into bloody conflict with it's owners. Combat is quite punishing but interesting, both you and enemies can't take more than 2 hits so it's pretty kill or be killed…

"Inspired" by classic top-down GTA and Hotline Miami but without any of the elements that make those games good. Gameplay is terrible, writing and presentation is awful, confuses "difficulty" for "challenge," has no production value, and overall feels like the kind of game you'd play in a web browser on a Flash games site. Even for 99…

I had hoped for an update to the original masterpiece, but I would have settled for less. Just kept thinking, "oh, this is really bad..." Riskers took an ambitious target, and I applaud their ambition. Unfortunately, this is one for the archive, when they get famous with their own ideas, they can look back at this one and laugh. Sadly, those who pay ten…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finished in 2 hours. The game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ clone of Hotline Miami and GTA(?) Most of the gameplay is like hotline miami, you have a level filled with guys and you must kill them. Problem is this is all bad. Gunplay is bad, there are so few guns, you die easily, but when you discover right mouse click then you can shoot them out of their range. AI is stupid just running towards you, even melee guys. Checkpoint system is present but sometimes at 25% level, though why even then bbother with it.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It looked like a lot of fun, but ended up being a very clunky controlled GTA clone. It looks better on the eyes compared to Hotline Miami, but controls nowhere near. I used a gamepad, and tinkered with the mapping using Controller Companion. The fighting & gunplay was just way too clunky. It is very much a very inferior clone of GTA 1. I had no fun with this. However, if they improved the controls and targetting when fighting, it could have potential.

In Riskers you play Rick Paradis, an ex-con trying to turn his life around, working with his brother, John, as a garbage man in Stiltton City. Doing your rounds one day Rick finds a briefcase full of money in a bin and, being the pillar of the community that he is, keeps it for himself. Two days later he comes home to find his apartment door open, John shot dead on the floor, the briefcase gone, and a group of armed goons…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like Hotline Maiami and are an old GTA2-alike games fan as I am, you will love this game. Music is simple, but atmospheric and catchy. Missions are fun, except for very few (don't damage cars), story is straightforward. And all this is more astonishing when you consider the fact that this whole game, from start to finish was made by a single person.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lost my patience with this one eventually. It was a present from a friend, so I decided to really give it a go....It's awful. Clunky, slow and it takes ages to do anything like turn and move. The cars are a chore to drive, especially in that mission that gives you 42 seconds to drive somewhere....It's NOT enough time, seriously I managed to GET ON THE MARKER a few times but no, unlike in the past where it booted me to the mission, it arbitrarily expects me to GET OUT of the car now? Honestly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Grand Theft Auto 1 clone Functional game but I'd rather play GTA 1 instead as it offers gamepad support Having said that I'd rather spend my finite time finishing Watchdogs, Sleeping Dogs, Saints Row, GTA 4 & 5, etc than repeating GTA 1

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is frustrating yet entertaining, the catchy music etc, the storyline is ok, I recommend this game, but I would suggest getting it during a discount/offer and after they fixed the bugs. There're a couple of bugs I wish they'll iron out, a side mission's target and the ally AI's intelligence. This game is not intended for people who has low patience.

Link to my Video review for those who don't like to read : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwUbYRySXgw And now for Text the review: Going into the game I thought this was going to be a little boring and that I would be done with the game after a few minutes thinking this is just another GTA clone. I was so wrong about this being a clone. This game show’s how a good story and gameplay can make old school gamer fall in love without saying too much this was worth trying out the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GOOD GAME LIKE GTA2 BUT GAMEPLAY HAVE BUG IN WIDE MONITOR (lg ultra wide monitor 29) and don't support resolution for this monitor (can't see video setting) and game have a few bug like gun bug 8/10 ------------UPDATE------------ wow bug fixed. 10/10 if you are gta 1 & 2 fan , buy this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This tries to be a modern mix of GTA 1/2 (top down view, stealing cars to free roam from mission to mission) and Hotline Miami (indoor and melee fights). A mix I really craved for since GTA 2... but somehow this leaves me completely unimpressed. Driving is awkward, everything is kinda empty and lifeless. Every mechanic somehow feels half implemented and the cut scene artstyle is just plain ugly. Meh/10 and I instead recommend picking up Hotline Miami and GTA 2 separately. Both do everything…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible Hotline miami clone littered with poor ai, bugs, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ weightless gameplay, which some how manages to have its gameplay be unchallenging and unfair. interspersed between the shooting sprees is a retro GTA like world map which is clunky and unenjoyable. The story is laughably bad and the charecters actions are illiogical. The music is mediocre but for some reason it restarts everytime you die which ruins any resemblance of flow if the game ever had any. This game is a waste of your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun game in the vein of classic GTA 1 (and 2). Has a somewhat short campaign and some sidequests, but can probably be finished in a few hours. The campaign could be a bit longer and the game would probably benefit from some kind of a weapons store because most of the missions seem to reset your weapons/slash ammo for whatever reason.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very clunky and slow paced compared to other games like HM1 or 2.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A promising mix of classic GTA and Hotline Miami. This game immediately caught my attention because it reminded me of classic GTA 1/2 combined with the fast-paced top-down action of Hotline Miami. The concept is great. The missions encourage planning instead of simply rushing in, the story was interesting, and I also liked the interactive HUD. However, when I played it at launch, the game still had plenty of bugs and didn't feel fully polished. It felt more like an Early Access game than a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried to like it but i can't. I get that the game is inspired by the first gen of GTA and i liked those games but Riskers is lacking in regard to these titles in every aspect. One that really stands out to me is the atmosphere and the general vibe. Everything feels a bit dull and empty, i don't know why. At various points, i even had trouble understand what the game wants from me. I can't recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It does a great job of mixing modern top down action with the beloved GTA athstetic. I got it for 3$CND and it was completely worth the purchase. The 'levels' where you assault building interiors are well designed and enjoyable to fight through, the shooting mechanic feels great and is much tighter than the original GTA, london missions or GTA 2. On the down side the driving/car systems feel a bit stripped down, including the cops and the city itself. While the game has side missions and a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →semi aesthetically pleasing in looks, like a smooth textured pixel sprite, with a semi 2.5d feel (its quite clean). unfortunately, that's it. controls are horrendous, going forward is not the direction of the mouse or character(or even the control menu 'forward = w' 75%), but a set direction to the level : the map doesnt move- to go through a (left) door on a vertical axis instead of pointing forward and 'w'ing in the door, you will 'e' through the door. Gunfights are for the hotline hero's,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know what it was, but this game looked exciting from the trailer. But when I played it my excitement soon faded, the controls are terrible, changing the controls to 'alternative' made it a little better to handle the guy, but driving is still pants! I'm glad it cost less than pound, if I bought it at say £5 or above I feel even worst. I can't understand why my guy is so slow walking or driving. I might be doing something wrong how would I know. I'll keep it maybe someone might pick it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the companion ai doesn't always shoot when there's an enemy next to him so you get killed, the race timing is too tight, your car get stopped by the smallest object possible and you don't even notice if you have a fast car or not.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a "modern" ripoff of GTA 1/GTA 2 with the whole top down/vehicle theft/shooting/crime themes all cleanly intact. Despite having slightly better graphics than those ancient games (not hard!), the gameplay here is worse. As a game developer, when your design concept is to rip off a 23 year old game, and even before code gets written, your game is worse, it's probably not a great idea to pay developers or anything, because this thing is going nowhere but right into the ground.…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you ever played the old original Gand Theft Auto (which rockstar used to let you download for free) and liked it, then this game is for you. I got it for 1 dollar and feel like I should have paid much more. Hat's off to the developers formaking me think of days gone by.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DEAR GOD! The traffic cars won't be easy with their horn honking, and they are a tad TOO LOUD! No options to turn down road ambient noises alone. Loudness radius would help too, fyi. And why tf I wrote a review for a near-unknown 8 y.o. game. Never mind...
