unlabelledView post →This game is, despite not having any obvious show stopper bugs that I've run into, quite possibly the worst video game I have played in at least the last 2 years, and I've played a disturbing number of absolutely terrible games. I really wanted to like this, from the videos and from the descriptions, and online reviews... but there's nothing at all to like here. It feels like the devs wanted to make a 2-d sidescrolling beat 'em up but had absolutely no idea how a sidescroller or beat-em-up or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, the game has a lot of potential, but there are some obvious flaws. First, the balance is just broken. Uppercut is completely overpowered, it's really fun to use, but kinda makes the basic encounters too easy. I think so far there are only 3 enemies in the game. Every one of them can be juggled for eternity. The wolves are the only ones that are a real threat, because of their ability to deal enormous damage in a short period of time with their fast attacks, sometimes they may be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game's story is unfinished and never will be, they abandoned this project and started making others. I really enjoyed my time with this but I cannot recommend an unfinished and abandoned project.

Down to Hell: ~~~~~~~~~~ A nameless knight filled with hatred is fighting a horde of monsters in the terrifying forest of death. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Down to Hell" is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. It's a handheld (Nintendo Switch)/console game that's also been put on Steam as a bit of an afterthought, as it's very much designed for the handheld/console gaming audience. This "dark and broody" horror themed platformer/brawler has a fantasy/horror theme and some fairly low production values, but then we shouldn't expect much from…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →”We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment.” -Jim Rohn ***Special thanks go out to my significant other for proofing this review for me. Down to Hell (DtH) is a two-dimensional hack-and-slash centered around a champion purportedly fixated on destroying demon hordes “to save the mysterious girl that previously saved him,” reported by Red Dev Studio S.A.’s store page. The developers boast a soundtrack that is ultimately deprived-though…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, before saying anything, let me say that I do not recommend this game *YET*. The game is bad, but has potential, lets keep in mind that it's Early Access. (EDIT: nvm it isn't on Early Access anymore. Guess it's refund time.) What I found good: The Boss Music The Art Style The Concept What I found bad: Repetitive and boring enemies ( this could really help with that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEC7OrvULBs ) Little to no hit-stun/reaction from enemies when struck Parry mechanic is wack…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got interested in this game due to it's art style and overall setting and lore, it reminded me a lot of Berserk (I think it was a little inspired by it). It's a shame that the game has serious problems, the combat is really simplistic, and bugs are everywhere. In my time with it I saw characters with dialogs changed with one another, a boss kept spamming me in a way that was impossible for me to defend myself or even get up (cheap) and another boss just stood there without even attacking me,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some underground forum goers have been aware, for some time, of a tactic to create and host intentionally broken games on Steam to coerce Valve into finally introducing some quality control. This game is being sold under four bucks for a reason.....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game's art style is really good it's what drew me in despite the mixed reviews, however it is definitely a "mixed" or flawed game. I bought the game for $0.99 cents and still wouldn't recommend it. Also I know I don't have a lot of time into the game however the game is easy and easily cheeseable so you can get pretty far in a short amount of time. The pro's Art - The art style is nice especially the cutscenes. Music - If your really into this kind of music which I think is heavy metal…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So this game is a side scrolling combat-platformer, in the same vein as Castlevania, the main difference between the two is this game has a progression system which unlocks additional abilities, weapons and magic for the player. If you're like me you've seen a lot of games like this come and go on steam, but I feel like this game has something special, definitely worth the $10. This game is HARD, there are no difficulty options for you to select and the game does not hold your hand at all.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →" Love heavy metal? Love hack n' slash? Down To Hell is a side-scrolling, 2D hack n' slash game where you play as a lone swordsman, fighting through hordes of demons in a heavy metal-inspired world while collecting various upgrades for your character along the way. The game features a hellish and dark environment that is well-designed to match the theme of the game accurately. The graphics used in Down To Hell are generally appealing to the eyes at first, but the more you look at it, the more…

unlabelledView post →Disappointed. Game looks great and has great visual style but has a game-breaking bug that causes your character to become unresponsive and unable to move at all after a successful parry-attack. Seems to be a known issue but has not been addressed. Even for 99 cents a broken game is still a broken game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well so far its a lot of fun. I would recommend this game. The art work is awesome and it is a good hack and slash. Well worth it from my opinion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm really enjoying the game so far. It has some great visuals, an awesome soundtrack and fairly difficult challenges.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Down to Hell, developed by Red Dev Studio S.A. and published by Ultimate Games S.A. alongside the developer, is a 2D side-scrolling action game that attempts to blend hack-and-slash combat with a dark, metal-inspired aesthetic. Set in a grim underworld filled with demonic enemies and oppressive environments, the game casts players as a tormented knight descending into Hell to rescue a mysterious girl tied to his past. The premise suggests a brutal and emotionally charged journey, one rooted in…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brainless hack and slash with heavy metal music on bosses , very low tier game that should be sold for 0.99$ , also who puts parry on C , low 2/10 , got one point only cause of the metal music.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you could get this unfinished game for free, then yes I would recommend it. But, only a fool would pay money for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i bought this game for 76 cents on sale and beat it in about 45 minutes. its got maybe 4-6 enemy sprites that are recycled ad nausem. its got platforms that suddenly stop working and others you cant even see and have to blindly jump through. its got a repeatitive audio track and sound fx that are so loud they overtake the mumbling narration that rambles on about stuff that has nothing to do with your currently play thru and i guess is attempting to hype up the main character with silly stories…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →plays like a flash game from newground circa 2010. I gave a dollar for it. I feel robbed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I paid 99 cents and played for 20 minutes and still took the time to give it a bad review
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Down to Hell I found to be pretty good. The visual aspects of the game are good. The music is good. The bad thing though is that every time I have a chance to upgrade after defeating a boss or wave of enemies, the game crashes. This game for that reason is unplayable. Why offer upgrades if the game is going to crash every time before you can choose an upgrade? This not only happened once but twice.
