OVERVIEW Post Human W.A.R is a turn-based strategy game with a humorous post-apocalyptic science-fiction setting from new developers, Studio Chahut. Humans are extinct, but our legacy remains: huge cities, larger dumps of radioactive waste, and countless artificially intelligent robots. With no humans to serve, the R-PATCH -- Robots of Protection for the Arts and Territories and Cities of Humanity -- continue on, performing their basic functions and, with the discovery of mutant creatures…

The game is decent. One thing I disliked was the requirement to make an account once in the game. In my opinion, games on Steam should use Steam IDs, full stop. No exceptions. I'd give the game 3 stars out of 5 if this was a star rating. 4.5 out of 5 if it used Steam IDs instead of its own account nonsense.

I dont write many reviews, but this game deserves a review If you like turnbased strategy games like Fire Emblem or Advance wars this game is a must have. Post Human War is a post apocalyptic turn based strategy game in a time that humans are gone. The game has (singleplayer) campaign battles (I think around 4) Each campaign has 6 missions and they are difficult. I have played a lot turnbased strategy games, but this game is really challenging. For me thats a positive thing. Another big part…

Post Human W.A.R requires you to sign in on the start up page, either to your Steam account even though I was already freakin' signed in or a Post Human W.A.R account! It's ridiculous and too much work to play a single player campaign. Not recommended!

Beautiful game ! I'm not a big player of strategy games but I must admit I totally got into this one. First of all, the background is rich and full of humor. All the voices and sounds are really fun, the animations beautiful and the musics work well with the atmosphere of the maps. And more importantly, the game is very well thought in terms of game-play and strategical/tactical options. Each of the three factions has its specificity and can be played differently, which adds fun if you want to…

Waste of time Campaign levels insist on one specific way to solve, like a puzzle, Each level takes hours and hours of trial and error with different unit setups and approaches trying to figure out what the developer is expecting of the player and getting absolutely nowhere.

Pro: -Variety and balanced units -Unit animations and voice-overs Con: -No mid-game save -In single player, you do not know enemies unit composition. Therefore, it can be hit or miss when preparing units. Overall: It is a fun turn-based strategy game that should get more recognition. The game theme is interesting and pulled away from typical turn-based strategy games. The game can also be hard if you do not have the right unit composition at the start of the campaign missions. The multiplayer…

A really fun game for what it has now, sadly that is only three tutorial missions, three campaign missions, and a multiplayer with no one online. But i'm sure more people will get the game, so we can play online mode. And more campaign missions are sure to come soon. Besides the game is only about three days old right now.

I played the single-player campaign for a few hours. It has a quirky sense of humor that usually works, and it's a decent game if you like short tactical battles, but it just didn't get it for me. The campaign is the sort where you will likely have to play certain missions multiple times. On each mission you pick a set of units without knowing the composition of the enemy, though you can see the terrain and know the objectives, which usually informs your choices. However, some missions have…

This game is dead, as far as I can tell. I like it enough to leave a review though. When I saw this game on the store it instantly stood out to me. The gameplay looked fun, interesting, the game looked nicely made. Everything looked well executed and unique. Reminded me of Stratego but more fleshed out. I bought it along with my friend and we both enjoyed experimenting with this unique game. Although the game is dead, where it be failed advertising/marketing or just not enough people cared…

Its hilariously quirky characters effortlessly combine with a tactical turn-based combat system. The real standouts are the champions. You select a single unit as a champion, and if that dies, then you lose. This turns an otherwise run of the mill battler into a fantastic mind game. Where do you put your champion? Which unit do you pick? Can you work out where the enemy champion is in time? All of these are fantastically tricky questions that are a joy to puzzle through in every match. While…

It's cute.. the tactics are kinda lacking. Sorta comes down to two fronts shooting at each other and the AI isn't that good. I mean... I think I paid under $5, so it is fine. Likely would never play this against another human, as again..tactics are too rudimentary.

The game focuses on online multiplayer, although there is no asynchronous multiplayer (a notable shortcoming for a potentially small community). In addition, there are three campaigns of six missions each that lack adjustable difficulty, and practice games against the AI (or a local player) on fourteen maps (but none are randomized). Units are purchased before battle: melee, ranged, flying, and support options are available that differ in health, movement, attack range, attack strength, defense…

I'm quite shocked at how this great turn based strategy game has been so criminally overlooked due to people posting negative reviews for the sole reason that you have to create an in game account to play it. SO WHAT? ABOUT TIME YOU GREW UP YOU LAZY, WHINING, SPOILT BRATS. It isn't exactly uncommon for you to have to create an account for online pvp content and, in this case, it's really just a matter of giving yourself a name which is attached to your email address for the purpose of…

The only problem is that most players sucks :) It's really hard to find a worthy oponent. ----------------------- I've reciently meet a cheater in this game and that really made me sad (everithing was beautifull before that). His nick is "Just Me" and he is one of the "top" players. I've sent an email to [email protected] with more info - so I hope the bug he was using will be fixed soon and he'll be punished

This is a solid 3 out of 5 for me. The setting is highly invested in but fundamentally nonsense, the style looks great but feels limited and the gameplay is very, very straightforward. Okay, they added champions and totems to a type of game that Advance Wars did just fine nearly twenty years ago--and if you thought Advance Wars was some new thing, Avalon Hill would like a word with you. What I mean is, there are a lot of games like this out there, a lot times a lot times a lot, and I'm just…

It needs more units and above all it needs units that are differentiating the fractions from one another. Both of wich will create a better tactical depth. I also don't really know in what state the game is and if its even worked on or updatet, but that could just be bad research on my side. Great potential though.

I'm not usually into turn based games but picked this up as it was on offer and liked the artwork. I really enjoy this game. Its simple but still has tactical depth and even if a battle seems lost you can still turn it around by changing tactics. Its a shame there are very few people playing this online. The game deserve some more love. Quick tactical games with quirky characters to choose from and for what its worth it has enough variety to keep things interesting. It does have 3 campaigns…

Good concept and at times funny but completely broken for the following reasons: - Campaign missions require very specific ways to complete and doesn't allow for strategy at all. - Multiplayer has been removed and the game now sits with 60 odd unobtainable achievements.

A quite fun and well-themed hex-based strat game with a neat twist: hidden commanders. The hidden commander system does add a meaningful twist on the usual formulae, and from what I've played each faction feels reasonably different and has a decent selection of units to use. Its a bit of a shame this game was designed with multiplayer in mind, rather than singleplayer. There is a tutorial and smallish campaign, but focus was more on human vs human than human vs CPU. Asides from a mostly dead…

If this could be a meh review, it would be. Game starts with a massive exposition dump. The overall gameplay and game design is very interesting with some fun units and strategy, but the visuals, controls and simplicity of the game's basics are a little bit too complicated for this kind of game. Still a very decent game overall.

Although Post Human W.A.R. is still in its infancy stages in terms of public reception, the game has a lot unique features to offer fans of the tactical strategy genre. As well, the game has simple battle mechanics with a short learning curve for gamers new to the genre looking for a place to start. The game’s story is quirky and fun, giving the tactical strategy genre a naturalistic and post-apocalyptic flair free of zombies and the robotic singularities.

This game is fun. Not trailblazing, not brilliant, not earth-shattering, just good fun. For something that I got for "free" through Chrono.gg's Coin Shop, this is a surprisingly robust turn-based tactics game. They don't reinvent the wheel here, move x amount of hexes, move and shoot or move twice etc; everyone gets a tank, a scout, a flyer etc - but that wheel didn't need re-inventing. You've seen this all before and if that's your bag then you're going to enjoy this. It does exactly what it…

This is kind of a hard game to give the thumbs down to. I do like the world they created, and the storyline they've attached to their campaign is pretty funny. The point system for building the armies for each skirmish is a mechanic I really like in tactical games. But... It never really seems to force the player to change their strategy based on the challenge. It looks like an A-symmetrical tactical game, but the different teams are just re-skins of the same units. The environment isn't…
