positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is from the senior citizen prospective. I needed something soothing to help deal with the pandemic, politics and storms all at once. This is perfect for that. The only thing I needed is the hint that you must collect glowing flowers and take them to glowing circles on the forest floor. This triggers a poem to display and then an obstruction in the path to go away. I use a controller because the walking speed is not slow enough for me to savor the experience using the keyboard arrows. So,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Phile - when a person has a fondness for a specific thing and pluvio as in referrring to the Latin word pluvia meaning rain. Tonguc Bodur, after a detour into the realms of horror with Education, is now back with a new walking sim which once again takes place in the gorgeous outdoors where your journey is accompanied by a soothing soundtrack. Morning light shining through the branches of trees, a lush forest with constant rain, piano music and poetry. This is what you get throughout 3 chapters…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pluviophille is a short but gorgeous walking simulator that takes you on a ~45 minutes stroll through an autumnal forest setting. Each world built by Tonguç Bodur it’s unique in its beauty, but in Pluviophile the author outdid himself and created a truly stunning environment, in which the lush and vibrant visuals blend perfectly with poetry snippets by Madison Julius Cawein. These convey a romantic and nostalgic feeling which is also enhanced by the delicate rain that accompanies the player’s…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All Tonguc Bodurs games are a naturalists delight as you walk through his lovely environments. In this game you are walking through a deciduous forest/wood in the rain. So strap on those hiking boots, put on your wet weather gear and beanie and immerse yourself in the sound of the rain. Allow your imagination to take flight. I could imagine medieval knights on their chargers picking their way over the muddy tracks with the clinking of their horse's tackle echoing through the forest. Or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have only played Drizzlepath out of the author's other works, and enjoyed that one greatly. Pluviophile was a little disappointing to me. I have given a positive recommendation as I found more to enjoy than to irk me. I enjoyed the scenery and looking around. The very linear path in the first section irked me a little, but the game field opens up quite a bit later on. Someone more switched on may have finished the game quicker. I got quite lost and turned around about midway through the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PluviophilePluviophile (Pluviophilia) is a neologism used to designate people who feel a special fascination with rain and everything related to it. Simply a beautiful game, it has a peaceful, unique atmosphere. as stated here in other users' reviews; this is a game for the few, as it is very specific in its "objective", which is to enjoy the weather and the rain in a place that I would venture to say, would be the very definition of "paradise" (if there is one?) The graphic is very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful, relaxing, and meditative. Tonguc Bodur makes walking simulator experiences. There is little gameplay here, it comes down to finding flowers and the places to activate them on. You play these kinds of games to walk through a beautiful environment and Pluviophile definitely delivers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BEST FIGHTING GAME STAGE OF ALL TIME IMHO!!! I think it’s the fact that I am a Pluviophile (Person who enjoys rain and rainy days) that this is honestly my favorite FG stage of all time lmao
unlabelledView post →Go for a walk in the woods. It's good for the soul.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This short walk through the forest, in the rain, gives the player a bit of respite from the 'real world.' It is classic Tonguc Bodur - a walking simulator with beautiful scenery, a winding trail to follow, scenic overlooks, forest creatures, and a few items to find along the way. With original piano music by Pinar Karabas, your travels include stops to experience the poem "Rain in the Woods" by Julius Cavier. The game is divided into 3 chapters and saved at the end of each. Since the chapters…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I couldn't finish this "very short experience", and I even like "the mood of rain in the woods". There are some carefully-chosen screenshots on the Steam page, but in the actual game, not only is just about eveything ugly, but the game chugs and has horrible, jarring LOD transitions on trees and other objects at about 20-30m range, so it is very unpleasant to look at. Why are there perfectly square puddles, and puddles on slopes? If it were actually "a walk in the woods", that would be one…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I own most of Mr Bodur's walking sims. I'm often critical of his titles, but not his skill at building environments. This title is no exception. As a walking simulator, there is much to be desired. The colors are drab, there is no story (or even purpose), there is no bread-crumb trail to orient you in the right direction. Instead, Pluviophile is a VERY short, drab, walking-sim that intermittently throws up some text from a poem. As with many of Mr Bodur's titles, the music is good. Mr…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and relaxing walking simulator. Features very nice visuals, relaxing music and easy steam achievements. Game length is roughly 45 mins. You will enjoy it if you are in the right mood.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is less a game, than an experience. Not too long, not too complicated, and was able to play on Ultra with a 2070, so it was very scenic. It is only 1USD so pretty inexpensive, and what you see in the previews is what you get. 6/10 at full price, better in a bundle...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very short game and no voice narration. Price adjusted to the value of the game as only 1 of the 3 chapters is significant. 6/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice relaxing game to calm down after a stressful day
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fairly linear walking simulator with a nice relaxing art style and sound effects. I particularly liked the rolling thunder in the distance as you journey through the woods and rain.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a short nice walking simulator
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The problem with this game, at least for me personally, is that it is an exercise in frustration. And not in a worthwhile challenging sort of way. What I assume was meant to be a game of rainy, mysterious ambiance quickly and increasingly devolves into a game of wandering around at random hoping to find a thing. You collect an item, take it to a platform, then the way forward opens. That sounds straightforward, and in the beginning it is. By the end you are traipsing around big open fields…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a big fan of games walking simulator games like Dear Esther, Bernband, Proteus, etc, but I couldn't stomach more than a few minutes of this owing to the pop-in of some of the trees, the hokey poetry interspersed and the collectables gating progress. I would've much preferred to be able to explore at my own pace and choose to read or not read the poetry as I go.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Taking a virtual walk on a rainy day in the forest, accompanied by calming music - a relaxing experience that I enjoyed very much! I only wish Pluviophile had a little more play time, but luckily there are some similar games from this developer to take a look at.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A relaxing adventure game where you have to wander through the forest and explore some locations. Soulful and calm music... and sound of rain. Very pretty game. Passing the game does not take much time. For those who think that it's bad it can be said you all get to go back to this game if you want to relax again. )
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For what I paid for it (AUD$1.50) I can't complain. It's the definition of short and sweet. An 80/100 effort The good Evocative to a fault, aims to set a mood, and achieves it Haunting music Poetry that ties in with the setting and mood perfectly It's gorgeous to look at The bad A few repetitive textures The fact that you need to use a flower on certain spots to progress, takes you out of the ambience of the game, and your first instinct is to look for said flower rather than taking in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I usually really love Tonguç Bodur games and walking simulators overall but this one just wasnt for me. Dont get me wrong. I love rain, I love the forest and, as I said, I love walking simulators but a walking simulator for me must either be really lovely to look at, must have a strong narrative/voice acting or anything really, that makes it enjoyable to pass the time. Saddly none of the mentioned things are present in this one. The poetic words, dont do anything for me and dont make any sense.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to start with this game and find out whether I should get more from Budor, because games like this also fascinate me somehow, I can tell you this much, it seems like it was only a one night stand, and not one of those where you stay over night and don't leave until the next morning. For that price however it's quite okay, which is why it gets a thumbs up. But also because a lot of work has been put into it, and I respect that, so I can only say at this point that it looks quite good…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A walking simulator in the rain alongside melancholic and fairy tale like music. Honestly, I was afraid to play it at first. I saw Run in the controls and I was like "Oh no, it's one of those first person 3D games with jumpscares". I didn't want to touch it. However, my friends dismissed my fears and told me it's fine. It quite is for a number of reasons. PROS: - Beautiful landscapes and scenery; - Music fits well with the scene and it transitions smoothly; - Simple to learn mechanics; - Run…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A small implementation of the poem, transferred visual paper to computer screens with the help of UE4 Pros: + Excellent graphics + Gorgeous soundtrack + Achievements + Price Minuses: - Lack of localization of third-party languages - Short game session Total: This project can hardly be called a game, it is a light walking simulator - in which the player activates the dots, reads the quatrain and quickly reaches the final. However, wandering through the forest, listening to classical music, is…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →mellifluous and tuneful piano soundtrack, majestic atmosphere, light rainy condition that makes the environment romantic and the quotes are less descriptive and more ruminative and the most important perception, they are life changing. that's all I could say. most of what I have just said is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, so let's be serious, the game as you can see is rather cheap and expectedly the length of story (in fact I haven't found any story let's say gametime) is less than an hour. all you do in game is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love the sound of rain and mostly walking in the forest while it's raining, this walking simulator is for you! Play while sipping your favourite morning coffee on a rainy day! I've played it's brother simulator ''Chionophile'' before, and found that this one was a little bit longer to play and a little more difficult to find the flowers in each chapters. I was a bit disappointed that the achievements gained from this game doesn't compile in your global Steam achievements. Great graphics…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very short but extremely intese experience. It's pure walk with sounds, images and words. Flowing feelings is the main score of this little trip. I appreciate everything is created by artist to mix music and images with a poetry as leading theme. Thanks to the friends who not directly lead and inspired me to try this "game".
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the sound of rain Especially rain on a tin roof, but rain on foliage in a forest. That takes it to a new level. And to have some guy on a baby grand piano play you some elevator music at the same time, now that is a good idea. Walking sim/Unity Demo Whether Pluviophile is a simple walking sim or yet another Unity demo pure and simple is debatable, it is more art, than game, walking is really slow, there is in reality not much to see, and not much story or poem structure this time. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ignore my playtime, the game takes roughly 40 minutes to beat, 10-15 minutes per level on average depending on how fast you go or how much you like to hang around and look at things. I originally wanted to notch against this game for not having particularly stand-out environmental pieces. As for the most part, the visuals in Pluviophile are quite mundane, and plain. But then I realized, that's kind of what makes the game special. I've never seen it before in one of these games as the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adored this. It's more of an experience than a game, but it's absolutely lovely, just a balm for the soul. The soundtrack is haunting and mostly soft piano pieces. The scenery is astonishingly beautiful and the sounds of rain and footsteps (which have some variety depending on the surface you're stepping on or in) adds to the experience. Just as I thought "I'd have liked to see some wildlife here and there", two deer dashed past me and bounded off into the distance. Around another bend, birds…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did enjoy the rain sounds, but otherwise this game was worse than their other game, Chionophile. Basic walking simulator, though I think they tried to do some resemblance of story. The scenes were all very similar to each other with not much difference, got boring to look at after chapter one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The whole experience just feels like some guys environment building portfolio where they decided to fill with poetry they discovered by googling "poems about rain". The game teases you by hinting there is some resemblance of a story to be uncovered, but there isn't. The audio quality of the rain is low, it sounds less like water and more like TV static. The sound effect for the item pickups is ear splitting and completely immersion breaking.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I may describe this game with a three words: a piano, a hearthy verse and a forest. It was a pleasant experience to have a walk through the forest on rainy day and stay dry though in a couple of moments I thought: "c'mon it's not funny anymore I'm lost in the woods!". Playing this puts you in a dreamy mood and even in some kind of a light trance — if you let music and trees into your heart. Totally worth trying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very short walking sim , but very relaxing. Take your time & enjoy the scenery & atmosphere. Don`t get me wrong but the end is the best & you will see why!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feeling a little stressed, depressed or angry and wanting to go out for a walk, but you don't want to risk getting the corona virus, robbed, beat up or in my case have a bunch of hot girls chasing you asking you on a date?, well then this is the game for you. You can walk around a beautiful woodland area in the rain, it's very peaceful and the chances of you getting the corona virus, robbed, beat up or in my case have a bunch of hot girls chasing you are very slim. Enjoy!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game really fits the explanation. it is short and it is good for being in an atmospheric, rainy forest. and musics are also very good :P if you want to take a breath from your busy lives and relax for some time, i recommend this :) deserves it's price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's ok. Probably not the best game from this dev, it has no story (I think), no voice acting and it's only about 30 minutes long. But it's also just 0,79€, so why not try it?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Relaxing atmosphere and beautiful graphics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Does what it says on the tin. Walking sim that gives time to reflect and relax. Somewhat replayable but really it's just nice to absorb the visuals and sound design.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pluviophile, being the first of Tonguc Bodur's games i've played and it was a pleasant surprise! Its quite a short game (hence the really nice price) being around 45 - 60 minutes long, depending on how long you decide to take in the lovely scenery and just walking around. I did notice that sometimes there were some graphical issues when going too far away from objects (mainly leaves) which left textures rendering in poorly. (im not sure if this was my PC but it wasnt a massive deal for me…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is by far the best walk if you buy the "Poetic Ones" bundle (1€ at Fanatical). Short like the others but the best ambient and the best soundtrack. Overall a lovely experience!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a exploration walking simulator about a rain in the woods. This game has a few poems you need to find until you find the end of the story. There is no puzzles or real gameplay. It is more poetic, atmospheric and spiritual, than story driven. Visually the art style and all the details put into the game are just stunning. I enjoyed every bit of scenery and also enjoyed the animals running around. The classical music playing through the game is really relaxing and definitely sets the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/9686972/]Follow "First Person Exploration and Puzzle Games" for more games like this! This developer is known for making beautiful but low-effort walking simulators. They usually involve walking along very linear paths through the woods while classical public-domain music plays and a narrator tells a story, with little to no interactions or actual gameplay. I haven't enjoyed any of the ones I've tried, but a complete lack of good UX design make this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An enchanting 40+ minute walk in the rain accompanied by a poem by Madison Cawein, a 1887 poet and music by Pınar Karabaş. Find glowing crocus flowers and place them on their pedestal to unveil part of a poem and unblock the next area. Very linear with a few open spaces to explore, absolutely gorgeous visuals with a very nice instrumental soundtrack. One of the three walking sims from the “Poetic ones” series, after experiencing all of them Pluviophile is easily my favorite. The only thing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Flawless! Tonguç Bodur hit all the right notes with this, his 15th game, Pluviophile! The rain effects and lighting effects throughout the drizzly forest are rich and authentic. You can practically smell the cool, fresh scent of the rain and feel the soggy leaves underfoot while you're playing. The soundtrack is haunting and epic. Definitely worth the DLC purchase. Play this short game! It's sheer delight! FYI. "Pluviophile" is Latin for "lover of rain."
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Neat, dreamy 40-minutes walking simulator, visually gorgeous. Places in the forest can be large enough to be on the verge of being slightly lost at some moments, but small enough not to make that difficult and make the whole trip quite relaxing. Also a good unexpected way to improve your English language with advanced/sophisticated vocabulary. A suggestion: could be nice with an option to use the right mouse click to walk. Then the keyboard would not be necessary anymore which may make the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great soul soothing experience. Funny, I didn't notice it was a game by Tonguç Bodur, then realized it has to be while playing, based on having played some Drizzle Path games. I'm sure this was not precisely intended by the artist, but this game sparked an interesting theme for me: " When life is a simple path, it is easy to enjoy the rain along the way. Yet, the energy and strength we build up through balance gives us a yearning for adventure. However, a fuller life becomes complex, with…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game made me feel alive, while scaring the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. Calming, peaceful, haunting and relaxing. Captured a lot of beautiful pictures while playing. Music 10/10. Atmosphere 10/10. Graphics 8/10(I mean, in my PC, if that makes sense). 10/10, would play again.
