MY RATING: ✔ ✔ ✔ ✘ ✘ ✘ ✘ ✘ ✘ ✘ 3 / 10 Loverowind is a “Poetic" Walking Sim by Tonguç Bodur, which is known for its inexpensive and often visually appealing games. Compared to many of his other games, this one didn't really convince me. The game starts in a corridor in a building that looks like a castle. These corridors and the building itself seem empty, quite lifeless and somehow very simple and ugly. At that moment I was already unsure why the whole building, with nothing to see…

After Pluviophile and Chionophile we have now arrived to Loverowind. I'm not entirely sure about the title this time - I thought with the emphasis being on wind the upcoming title in the series would be called Ventusphile. In any case, it is a walking sim and in Tonguc Bodur fashion emphasis is on tranquility aided by appropriate (relaxing) soundtrack. It shouldn't take longer than 30 mins to fully complete the game with all achievements included. Running was introduced previously to give…

it's a game that costs little and maybe that's the only positive thing there is. 2 areas: The house, really ugly graphically and devoid of details The external area, varies in 2 colors, poor and there is nothing to observe. Buying this game does not affect the statistics of the "completed games" of steam. Would I recommend it? Mmm no. 5/10

I expected more going into this asset flip and all I got is the most tedious plain-looking walking simulator. Don't get me wrong, this developer made quite a few interesting titles but this one ain't it chief. The map is emptier than my soul and gameplay just about as exciting as watching the paint dry. Hell, I couldn't even take any decent screenshots because the game looks like a giant poopoo. Also thanks for ruining my day with the cringe quotes. It feels more like a ripoff to charge the…

Introduction: Behold here a game that has no appeal beyond the short time it takes to 100% the 7 achievements. It is fighting to be among the most boring walking simulators made – and would be, were it not for the fact it is mercifully short. With a non-existent story, unimpressive visuals, a mediocre soundtrack and totally uninspired gameplay, Loverowind does nothing to capture the atmosphere of spring. Go outside instead. The graphics are lovely this time of year. Visuals: Loverowind seemed…

In this game you are the wind. Do you know what it's like to be the wind? Try this! Beautiful graphics and minor ambiguities pt. "where should I go now and what should I do now?" It's a good game and based on an interesting idea, but there are no revelations in it. Generally recommended!

I have played quite a few games by Tonguc Bodur and they are very enjoyable meditative walking sims - some with a story (Nephise, Bottle Pilgrim, Dead Tree of Ranchiuna, etc.) and others with poetry (Pluviophile, Chionophile). Many of his games have additional mechanics built in (minor platforming, driving, collecting orbs, etc.) which add to the experience. Loverowind is a short walking sim in a large valley with a few things to find (flowers, stanzas of poetry, hidden quotes). In a departure…

Please keep in mind that while I recommend it, it's only because it's priced so cheap, and you may enjoy it. But for me, I didn't. Even if it was for free, I wouldn't have enjoyed it. I normally LOVE games like these. Journey, Flower, Shape of the World. But this just wasn't that great of an experience for me. It wasn't fun to play, as flying around felt weak. It wasn't relaxing because of the light beams you have to be cautious of, unless you were fine with being stopped to a halt and CRAWL…

A short simple walking simulator where you are wind. Use orbs for speed boosts as you speed through a couple fields to a few points of interest as Clouds spin above looking like a tornado could touch down at any minute. Easy 100% achievements, short and relaxing.

What does that title even mean? What am I supposed to do? Why is wind stored in glowing orbs? Why are there wandering lights and why do they stop my movement? Why am I chasing a huge neon green orb across the meadow? Why is "challenge mode" ON by default and what does it do? I have so many questions and I don't really care about getting any of them answered. Rage quit because I couldn't get out of the field with the stupid lights. Apparently my very tedious progress wasn't saved, so I'm not…

Very Short Following on from a string of "showcase" atmospheric walking sims, Loverowind builds slightly, towards The Promise Tree of Aden, by adding different small puzzle element to the walking sim. I still don't "get" what these are all supposed to do, there are number of them: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33016994/ by Tonguc Bodur. All short and well atmospheric. The Promise Tree has a demo, and it looks to have some actual solid back story for a change. Would not mind if someone…

A charming exploration game that isn’t really a walking sim. 30+ minutes to complete; enjoy exploring two areas full of flowers; there are many glowing orbs on the map and touching them will increase your movement speed and make you feel like the wind of spring. Collect glowing Crocus flowers and set them upon their pedestals to unveil a poem; collecting all of them will open the next field to explore. Finding hidden poems on the map manually is very difficult, but right clicking will mark…

I do not recommend this game as first choice between the walking sim of this author. After playing Chionophile and Pluviophile (his best one, imho), I can say I didn't feel here the same immersion the previous two short titles gave me. The boost given by the "light- spheres of the wind" all around are a nice touch, but the two area where one can move build a really short experience and the music too, at this time, does not "hit" your heart as previously. I would skip the "mobile phone…

You've poured your heart out to me and in some weird roundabout way I feel like we've become friends. Like the other games from this developer; A short game filled with bought assets accompanied with beautiful piano music. Bought assets do not have to be a bad thing and the dev is even crediting which assets he bought. Some of the other games were okay but this game feels like there wasn't put too much effort in it.

I'm all for walking sims and relaxing exploration games when done right, and I've liked other games by this particular developer, but this is just painfully dull. even at its very short length, there just isn't enough here on a visual, atmospheric, or mechanical level to make trudging around looking for flowers feel like something other than a chore. As much as I hate to say this, I found this one a bit boring. I read the reviews before buying, paid under 0.50€ and played it with the challenge mode off as I don't play this developer's games for excitement. I play these for the atmosphere and scenery, and unfortunately this one failed in that respect. Also, you need the speed boosts to get anywhere in the empty landscape, and the speed caused slight motion sickness. Not enough to prevent me from playing, but enough to give me a headache.…

Loverowind, created by Tonguç Bodur, is a quiet, introspective walking simulator that leans fully into atmosphere and sensation rather than traditional gameplay structure. It follows the developer’s familiar style—minimal mechanics, abstract storytelling, and a strong emphasis on mood—but this time frames the experience around themes of renewal, lightness, and fleeting beauty. It’s less a conventional game and more an interactive vignette, designed to be experienced in a single sitting and…

[url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asset_flip]Warning: Asset Flip!Loverowind is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly…

This is a walking simulator where you "unlock" different poems. There is no puzzles or real gameplay. It is more poetic, atmospheric and spiritual, than story driven. Visually the art style and all the details put into the game are just stunning. I enjoyed every bit of scenery and also enjoyed "flying" around. The classical music playing through the game is really relaxing and definitely sets the tone. The sound effects are really amazing. The walking in the game is really slow, but if you…

A very short and interesting relaxing experience, you should play it if you are looking for a simple "meditation" sesion as the atmosphere of the game totally goes on that direction, BUT I have to be honest and tell you what I've seen that you might not like: -The "CATCH IT" that appears after completing the objectives feels quite out of place. -And the distance between points can feel veeeery big. I love Tonguç Bodur's stuff. I've been following him since Drizzlepath. Usually, he delivers a lovey immersive experience that delights, but not here. Loverowind is a case of missing the mark and serves as a good example that yes you can be too minimalist. There's only 3 areas to explore with a few nodes in each and a couple hidden quotes. The whole touch the orbs to become the wind thing is cool and feels great when going downhill, but bad when going up hill. There's also nothing to this…

I've played worse and refunded those. BTW, 2+ hr playtime is because I went AFK and came back to it - there is no more than 20 min of game play, seriously. It's the only game I can think of wherein you play as the offspring of Danny DeVito and Sonic the Hedgehog (now that's a fanfic I want to believe exists) chasing after Flubber and some cheap girly poetry while alien tractor beams seek you out to paralyze you. Genuinely Breath-Taking This has to be my favourite of the Tonguc Bodur walking sims so far! I love everything about the scenery and the music and the art. I did it in 65 minutes but I like to explore absolutely everywhere so I'd say it would take the average person maybe 50 minutes to complete. I may like some other games from this developer, but this one was lackluster. It doesn't seem much thought was put into it. There's no real narrative beyond everything being loosely connected with wind. What really threw me was the choice of 1) font & typeface style and 2) the mouse icon. Both seemed completely out of place in this game. Also, the relevance of the orbs and the origin of different ones isn't apparent. I vaguely remember enjoying Pluviophile and Chiliophile from the same author, regardless of the brutally rudimentary transitions/animations and extremely simplistic design (which are both found here again), in part because you could at least sometimes admire the landscape and felt some kind of spatial progression.
