I've invested quite a bit of time trying to figure the game mechanics out, and my conclusion at this moment is that the "contracts" are just too far out of balance with the income. I don't see (and haven't seen any YouTube game play) that has actually completed a mission. "Contracts" are your source of income and the pool of contracts that come available tend to require modules you need to research (at your time & cost). This gives you a reason to research and does push you towards getting it…

The gameplay loop is basically that you build station modules to have enough resources to do missions, which gives you money to build more station modules to accept more complex missions, research new modules with which you can accept even more complex missions. You cycle between building the station, wiring them and managing your missions. It is fun and it always keeps you on your toes. The problem is that the game doesn't really explain A LOT of things. It doesn't even give you tooltips to…

This is a very interesting space station building/resource management game. UI seems a little busy and confusing at first but it gets familiar very quickly. I have lost my first playthrough due to poor planning and not understanding that some researched modules will not work without other modules that are yet to be researched. Next playthrough will be much better I'm sure. There is a story element as well as money making/resource managing/ building layers. Very enjoyable game so far 8/10

Had high hopes for this game: Great graphics, Wiring of station components, and especially the idea of using contracts as a source of income. But the cons killed it for me, so returned it within the 2-hour Steam return window. IUnintuitive UI: Was getting very frustrated with it; computer games should decrease stress, not create it. By contrast, CEO got that aspect right. I don't know how to do something in the game, so what's my natural instinct? Whatever it was, it almost always worked…

This game could be fun, if it wasnt for the balancing. And the UI. And the controls. You know, moving with WASD, pointing with the mouse but still need to push enter (a lot) is not fun. Having to press buttons multiple times just to change the screens, not fun. And After a few minutes in to the game, the easy contracs pay more or less nothing, and the hard ones need modules that arent even researched, and researching these will lead you to running out of money. Building up funds with easy…

This is actually quite a fun space station simulator/management game, better than many other management games I have played. The tutorial doesn't quite cut it as it does leave you pondering on what to do next but you'll soon learn after some experimentation and losing a couple of games. Be advised that as you build your space station be sure to chose your modules carefully as some of the ones you research and place on your station will require other modules for it to operate and you may not be…

Barely any instructions or tutorial for you to start off with. When you do figure it out (by relying on a third party) then there wasn't any challange really. The user is meant to just click. No structural or infrastructural challanges apart from balancing totals which you can do in excel or sql in a matter of minutes. On top of that the controls were very odd, inverted and just viewing things from a player required angle felt wierd to achieve. Building was supposed to be fun but this was just…

This title is mostly about resource management and keeping your eye on multiple tickers and hazards, which become more challenging as each scenario progresses. The combination of a 3D 'construction' layer and an abstract module wiring layer is an interesting take and gives you a lot of freedom to grow your station in a way that's functionally or aesthetically pleasing while protecting sensitive systems like crew habitation and environmental control. The kicker is that the lifeblood of your…

I guess you might want to try it if you are fan of the genre. It is a very basic resource management game, that consists of 3 parts: selecting a projects to complete ( each projects uses some stations modules), building station modules and connecting wires between those buildings. There is only one issue - that last part doesn't impact the game *at all*. I doesn't matter how bad you do it, you can make any random connections and there is no impact on logistics. But you still have to complete…

Orbit Industries is a pretty good game. It's a good casual game that can while away hours before you know it, well worth the $20, but if you can catch it on sale for $10, even better. I love creating the station in space and watching it grow and function, deciding when and where to place each module. The abstract view was a great idea to manage the workings of the system and provide a lot more depth of play than just focusing on the 3D aspects of the station. The scenario missions are…

While I might've clocked in only one hour in the game and, while the unique visual style and much of the short-form storytelling is great and more than justifies the fundamentally simple resource management game loop, it all comes through a very stilted text filter. It's as if most of the game has been Google translated from German to English. Proper technical terms get swapped with non-technical synonyms. Even the dubbed narration sounds deeply awkward. The effect of the incongruous prose can…

GAME BREAKING ISSUES STILL IGNORED... THREE MONTHS LATER!!! Update as of 9.7.2022 Seems they are ignoring the community. Redundant issues still unfixed after 4 months. So all in all, unless you desire an expensive and overpriced screen saver, then pass. Instead of fixing GAME BREAKING bugs, they introduced sandbox mode, how clever. NOT! Original review; Game is wonderful to look at, and done with a relaxed and immersive AI, making a 2001 Space® vibe, but that's where it ends. Very good…

As a financial management game, it's pretty straightforward. As a physical jigsaw puzzle of spacestation parts, it's pretty straightforward. As a resource flow design game, it's pretty straightforward. But it's all three of those games at the same time, and that makes it consistently interesting. If you're a hardcore business sim player like me, you'll think it's very easy. Until you realize that the sales pipeline has mechanics that you can't afford to ignore...

I gotta say it was very surprising. I was not expecting the amount of planning that goes into every move you make. This is not a game meant for casual players, as it takes a great deal of thinking and plotting out next steps. There are three menu's. The first one you will likely be looking at the least is your building menu. It's where you can see your station in all it's glory and expand it. The rest of your time is going to be split between the other two menus. The second menu is where…

A surprisingly fun, somewhat addictive game that keeps me coming back for more. While this game isn't for everyone, anyone who enjoys resource management games will find several hours of entertainment here. There are some QoL changes that can be made, and maybe even some balancing kinks needing ironed out, but overall this game has been a great way to unwind and pass the time.

This game seems deceptively simple when you first start it, but it gets more and more complex the more you learn what needs to be done to reach your objectives. Let’s take an in-depth look at the game: Graphics: This is a full 360 degrees 3D view of an orbital station with various parts that you can attach to it. It’s not very graphics heavy so it’s no major issue. This is showcased by the requirements of the game. You need an Nvidia GeForce GTX770 or equivalent with 2GB or more of VRAM for…

Hey Everyone, Well overall it is good, i enjoyed the abstract part of the game wiring up your station, also building out the station there is quite a few modules to choose from as you progress, You make money from contracts and as the game progresses you can get more lucrative contracts so you can further expand your station. The building mechanics are sweet, and it is up to you to choose how your station is laid out. There is a bit of a learning curve to it, think about how you want it…

You get to build a space station and that includes wiring it. I played this for 118 minutes. In that time I expanded the station, split my circuit into two circuits, tidied up my circuits, expanded the station, made a third circuit, tidied up my circuits again, expanded some more, made a 4th circuit, expanded AGAIN, made a 5th circuit, and won the scenario. 10/10 would play again

Nice space station/management game to chill out. If you are looking for a game that : 1) You can build and expand a space station with several modules to add 2) connect all modules and resources on a special panel in order to make everything work efficiently. 3) You want to do missions (using modules only - no ships to fight) and make credits so you can keep the upkeep of the modules and then use the modules to do the main mission THEN this game is for you. I've only played 4 hours at this point, and that is just getting started. I do like the game so far, and foresee playing it more, so I do recommend it. Its a different kind of builder / sim type of game. The biggest headache so far is the UI. It is seriously in need of some improvements. The 'windows' are fixed and you are forced to scroll Left-Right to find things (which is awkward), some of the 'names' are not straight forward so you have to click on them to find out its the wrong thing…

Simple on the surface, gets surprisingly complex and difficult as it goes on. I think it's a good kind of difficulty though. At the time of review, I've played through four attempts for a total of 16 hours and only won one of them. But the fun isn't in winning, it's in designing your station, keeping it efficient while also trying to make it look good. Or that's the way I play, anyway! I imagine it's easier to win if you're not worried about the aesthetics of the station. Plus I was playing on…

Great Game!!! I played and loved a similar space station game in the 80's called Earth Orbit Station and this one is the closest I've ever found! Its not just adding modules, you have to keep an eye on your income and expenses, find out what tech your missing and how to get it so you can continue on and begin that contract with that huge paycheck at the end! And you have to balance doing research versus contracts because you don't get paid for doing research, just contacts! And thats a huge…

I absolutely love this game! It needs some additional UI and QoL improvements, but otherwise I like it. The main downside is that the intro/tutorial isn't very helpful, the game just throws you into the deep end and lets you figure things out yourself. If this sounds overwhelming, maybe wait for an improved tutorial.

This is the game that made me realize I actually enjoy this genre. The problem is that even after finishing the game, the developers just neglected it. Building a space station is the main focus, but there's no real objective. You're just connecting modules without any time limit, and that’s it. It’s such a shame—it would’ve been so much better if there were clear goals and a proper scenario.

This is a space station simulator where you are tasked with building an managing a R&D base. It's really fun to play as you get to build a huge station that has plenty of modules and structures. The look of the game is similar to Kerbal Space Program. It's currently getting some updates so perhaps they will be implemented fully. I think…
