31 of 31 · most liked firstI was very disappointed. For some reason I thought this game was going to be about realistic bomb defusing, like hurt locker or something. but no, you just wait for a little light to show what color wire you cut. that's it. The first level is just half an hour of slow SLOW walking digging through trash cans. the hacking is lazy and frustrating (Why they need hacking is beyond me) why you break into government buildings, also beyond me, you are the police.... ugh I really thought this was going…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How i would summarize my experience: Short, repetitive and way too easy. Even though the premise of the game is good, the implementation is severly lacking at the moment. The various gameplay systems feel very disconnected. Skills have no real reason to exist espeacially since they only give small, inconsequential benefits and because they are reset on every death. Hacking, Decrypting, Lockpicking and Bomb defusal all feel like minigames from a mobile game, espeacially because there are so…

The game has 3 areas and 19 achievements when I write this. There will be added more later during EA and so the achievement information might be out of date by that time. Approximate amount of time to 100%: ~3h Estimated achievement difficulty: 4/10 Minimum number…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is this game's development over? I was so excited for this game to come out, bought it instantly, and thoroughly enjoyed it; besides some expected bugs and lack of content. The lack of content was promised by the devs to be swiftly and thoughtfully added as times moved on. By thoughtfully I mean they would listen to the player's input and possibly implement puzzlles like or similar to the input. Haven't pllayed the game in a while because, as i'm sure a lot of others were doing/thinking, I…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →£5.75 on Sale & £7.19 full price, it's OK for an Early Access title, but what is the end goal? I expected a bomb disposal game, high pressure situations with perhaps a manual to cross-ref or a friendly ear asking relevant questions, but that's not really what this is; it's more of a puzzle game against the clock & from that perspective it kind of works pretty well. Initially I thought this was a first time dev team, perhaps students, but this is a team who def. could do better, so should I be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not much to say here. I highly doubt its anything similar to a bomb defuser / bomb expert job. Lockpicking is just plain stupid. Clicking colors to defuse a bomb? The whole point in bombs like this is to make it impossible to deactivate it. At the time of writing this, the game is in early access. I didn't see many bugs, but it annoyed me that I died from falling 2-3 meters down, and have to start over with the upgrades. The game quickly became very boring, so no recommendation from me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is full of pointless activities that you have to accomplish like putting out 12 roadblock barriers....it serves no purpose to the game. Even when you do have to "defuse" something, there is no thinking for yourself or figuring anything out. The game just highlights whatever you need to click on. As for the puzzles, they are way too easy or based on luck (trial and error). Would not recommend for anyone besides a small child.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall not a bad game. Although this is an earlier access version but the content of this game is far too less. Recommend to purchase after more contents had been updated but still may purchase now since it's having early bird sales. Will observe for a few more days for any new updates, if not, might process for refund. Just my POV, may purchase to try it out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hooolllly ♥♥♥♥... What a shame. Lots of potential but that's all it is. Visually the game's graphics look good enough. But the controls. Holy. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. ♥♥♥♥. I've never seen controls so bad Let's start with their "training". The instructions for diffusing the pipe bomb would be more helpful if they were written in a completely on-the-fly made up language because the instructions supplied might as well not even be there they are so confusing and bad. Bad start. Moving on. Let's talk about the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is very much just barely an OK game. It is VERY short and simple. No real thinking to it. Just walk and cut. GREAT idea though and with a lot of work, it could be a good game. Worth about $0.99 and the money I paid for it is way too much. If you can catch it on sale, then I'd buy it. Otherwise and knowing what I know now... Don't discount it completely as it could be a decent game later on!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been here for the entire history of this game, and i can tell you straight up; it's a mess. a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess. To put it simply, this game was abandoned, not just once, not just twice, but THREE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TIMES. I genuinely do not know how that happens. I do not. The entire game was refurbished from its original product and somehow it became worse than the original product. I'm baffled. The original version of this game was a lot more monotonous but you know at least it didn't have some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sapper – Defuse The Bomb Simulator, developed by Live Motion Games and published by WIG Publishing, is a tense and methodical first-person simulation experience that places players in the role of a bomb disposal expert. It attempts to recreate the mental pressure, focus, and precision required to perform one of the most dangerous jobs in the world. Rather than relying on action or spectacle, the game aims to build its suspense through silence, realism, and the constant threat of failure. Each…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really looking forward to the game but now that i played it its really annoying. I die even though i did exactly what i was told and the whole parcour thing is pretty annoying. I liked the minigames before, in the demo i think it was, way more i never had a problem with them. I wasnt able to do anything at the start after the customization and had to force quit the game through steam. Then I had to find the pipe bomb in the tutorial which wasnt shown through the vision and i wasnt able to…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not recommend this game at this point in time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9gNx9-ElMM
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sapper is not exactly what I expected it was going to be.... that being said it is a fun game. I play a lot of sim games and this one has some nice mechanics to it. I do wish the bomb defusing process was a little more realistic, but still it's not bad. I would and do recommend this game. It's not a bad price for the amount it has to offer. Check out my video I did of Sapper- Defuse the Bomb Simulator! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsKf-iR4kn8
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Much better than expected! Fun gameplay loop:)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dont waste your time. The learning curve is insane. Like it amps it up from a 2 to a 9 in 5 minutes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Broken game. You parkour and do stupid puzzles. The way to disarm is not intuitive at all. The pipe bomb disarm is not consistent and ends up a method to piss you off. You can't access the methods to disarm in game, you have to remember their stupid methods. Don't waste your money, you will just get hung up on stupid jumps, broken disarms or other bugs. Frustrating unplayable game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has a lot of bugs. I would recommend playing the demo, as it has just as much content, at is less buggy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is barely even a game and not a good one. You run around in just four levels lock-picking, hacking laptops and defusing a handful of bombs. The story is unrealistically artificial. You might get about 3 hours of gameplay total. That's it. You would think a game that emphasizes on parkour would at least be better at troubleshooting terrain and object placement. Got stuck several times on platforming objects and had to restart the level because the checkpoint system is atrocious.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I thought this game would be focused on defusing bombs, but in reality you spend 20 minutes jumping, running and climbing thru a level in what seems more like a parkour simulator to reach a bomb. Then you defuse that bomb in under a minute by simply counting the wires of each colour and matching it to the manual. There is little or no variety in the bombs and finding them is simply a case of following the markers on your screen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I kind of wish I could give this game a sideways thumb. I like what there is, there's just not much of it yet (as of July 2022). Note that like many games published by the Playway group this is not a realistic simulator. It's more 'cut the red wire' movie bomb disarming, complete with prominently visible timers. If you're a professional or enthusiast, you should probably look elsewhere. If I had to sum it up simply it's kind of like a Bethesda RPG with just the minigames, no combat. However,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun game but it needs work. New bombs placed on boats, planes, trains, buses, cars, etc. Also the game needs a better story line of people to save or rescue. Devs please finish this game, it looks good but can be better. thanks.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game Gives Sense Of REAL Bumm De Fusing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has good potential and is still in early access. Good graphics. Advise to make more puzzles and challenges ;-)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't say I can really recommend it as is, I beat the game in 2 and half hours with no deaths. Mechanics for all the bombs except landmines are really simple (watch light, cut the color wire the light turns, repeat). There is the promise of an interesting game there though, and I hope as they continue to update that there will be more challenging puzzles and bombs to defuse. Edit - Mar 30 2021 The devs of this game seem to be commited to listening to the players and reacting to their input.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sapper is a neat game where you play as a member of the bomb squad at a police station. Find clues and disarm bombs to keep the city safe. Very interesting game. Looking forward to more content in the future <3 Keep up the good work!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It wasn't that fun
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not what expected, bit lackluster in its current state, shows some promise, but I thought it might be a bit more silly like Thief Sim
