The ai is the worst I’ve ever seen. There are games decades old with better Ai. What’s more for a seemingly simple game it would make sense the ai could be much better. Winter War has a nice map, nice quaility graphics for the units, an easy to understand interface and it plays fast. i still dont manage all the game mechanics but with a few hours more of game It will be enough. Congrats Avalon Digital for this game and hope to see more titlles of this serie soon.

I'm excited to see how this shapes up. I've been pretty stingy about not buying games lately, but the subject matter is obscure enough to really stand out. The production value is excellent for this genre and it is still in early access. A full review in the future.

There is a two main problems, air force is too weak and mostly useless for tactic use because of second main problem what is difficulty. You cant loose if you just keep troops standing on front. Also restriction for advancing over border is stupid. Developer can easily add more space on soviet side for better troop maneuver. I killed 9 soviet generals and countless divisions on counter attacks when i let them come deeper in my soil. This war…

The Winter War scenario is presented with good accuracy, with the large Soviet juggernaut with seemingly inexhaustible reinforcements against the smaller, but more mobile and skilled Finns. I like the card systems each card having something cool in it. Patriotic feelings as well and the fact that it starts playing some songs in the game is amazing. And it feels like im sort of actually the leader for Finland it isnt alot of stress and is different from other strategy games like this. 5/5 would SISU again

As Finns, you watch your army bleed to death. Maybe I'm missing the nuances of this campaign... Technically, graphically, it's a great game. In retrospect, we only remember that Finland joined with the Axis powers. This game adds the intrigue as if the Western Allies might decide to support Finland in its war with the Soviet Union.
