This game is a fun classic, and I was excited to play it with friends, so this was very disappointing. It didn't even give the option to play locally. An incomplete game should not cost this much. I hope the developers can bring back multiplayer again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Starting with genre - it's a strategy. But not a complicated one with tons of different units, races, technologies, heroes, incomprehensible mechanics and overcomplicated UI. On a contrary, this game was designed to be focused only on one thing - quick battles for key points, and becasue of that, developers actually could made those mechanics deeper, more elaborate and even realistic.. to some extent. So, pros: 1. Game has good tutorial, which explains basically everyting you need to know step…

Unfortunately this game shines in multiplayer which is dead and the campaign, despite being fun, is simply too short. I think the devs decided to make so few levels because they knew it would get boring otherwise, as there isn't enough depth. There a total of 3 different buildings: - Towns which are the main buildings…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is mushroom and they did go to war. seems like a pretty complete game to me
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The idea is good but for what I can see, the AI "cheats" but knowing exactly where your troops are going when you attack and you never know where their mushroom men are going when the first 10 seconds of the mushrooms path can cause them to go literally anywhere. Would be a lot better imo if you could know where the enemy mushrooms are moving to attack.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ balancing on hard campaign
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just too hard on easy just a rage quitting game stay away
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Used to play this game on console when I was a much smaller child. Waited for a sale so I could buy it without feeling guilty about the price- but it certainly was worth the nostalgia. Otherwise, pretty standard game. 8/10 timewaster
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good but def not worth 10 dollars. This game should be 5 dollars at max.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is a simple point and click where you control a faction of "mushroom men" who you can use to improve your own town and conquer neighboring city states. The gameplay is fairly repetitive despite the multiple game modes, all gameplay can be broken down into this: click your mouse buttons on your city or to the city you wish to conquer, and how many you wish to send with the scroll wheel. A fair bit of strategy is involved, but harder difficulties unfairly stack the game in favor of the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →$#!+ game. I was having fun playing on Hard UNTIL I hit level 25 (Sampurville). From then on out, EASY was a F***ING STRUGGLE!!! I mean so frustrating that there was no fun in it... I mean on EASY each level took about 20 - 30 minutes. It's a cheat system when the enemies regeneration rate skyrockets passed yours. It went from challenging to near impossible. If you buy this, then get to the point where you want to throw your mouse and say WTF!!!! Well, I warned you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Removed multiplayer, at least it's still playable singleplayer I guess we'll never own games after all
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it sucks the multiplayer doesnt work anymore. I remember playing this in math class witha friend back in 7th grade and having a blast. Some of the campaign missions are bogus especially when you first meet the alien mushroom guys but otherwise its a cool game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mushroom Wars is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam by morally void, greedy mobile devs. It's not even their game, it's a ripoff of another game called Galcon. The devs took someone else's game concept and slapped a mushroom skin on it, dumped it on app stores, and decided to dump it on Steam too, somehow confusing PC gamers for mobile peasants. It's apalling. For people who don't know Galcon, it's a basic iPhone screen tapper where you have a number of "nodes" that generate troops…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly expected a really bad and boring game… And in fact, I launched it and got bored after a couple of minutes. But I nevertheless kept playing to give it a chance and it was worth it. It got more interesting (as you keep learning more and more stuff). And I somehow wasn’t able to quit the game… It is really fun, and you need to use your brain in order to advance. It is rather short though. I finished it in about 2 hours. I will have to keep playing this game. I recommend it, but 10€ is…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Follow our [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/36214917/]Curator Group for more reviews Mushroom Wars is a simplified RTS game that takes the basic concept of many RTS web games and tries to polish it into a more complex game. Mushroom wars has no unit types, just basic soldiers. There are no resources to gather, all that matters is the soldiers being periodically created. There are defensive towers that act as points of interest, as well as forges that improve your fighting abilities.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not exactly easy to find an RTS game that 1) has local multiplayer 2) is playable with gamepads 3) is so fun and simple that you can introduce it to anybody and get into loud shouting matches with each other in thrilling mushroom battles for mushroom supremacy over the mushroom lands and 4) is cute.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I instantly didn't like it. I thought it sounded great but this feels a lot less of a strategy game and a lot more like a puzzle game, which is not what I was looking for. You have to essentially figure out the correct way to win each scenario, much like any basic puzzler. Disappointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring, repetitive, and the AI immediately reads all of your moves without any sort of natural "thinking" lagtime.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL:DR A game where yes there is a story, but no one focuses on it and simply plays for the mechanics and strategy aspects. iOS/PC game as well. The Good Stuff +Easy to learn, with new mechanics getting thrown in throughout the whole game to add some little twists +Fast paced strategy game, also works for iOS just fine +Numerous scenarios for levels including time attacks, multiple enemies and specific buildings to capture +The morale mechanic is nice as it adds an extra factor to the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple, boring, unsatisfying, bundle filler. You'll regret wasting time with this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A trip down memory lane, I used to play this all the time on the Playstation 3 back in 2010 It's a game with a short campaign and few options to play with in the sandbox, but in the simplicity is a numbers game that if you underestimate your opponent, you lose everything within the blink of an eye. The characters are cute, but cold, calculating, and ruthless. Each round doesn't take long, but seeing the time limit nearing 0 will often make you question if you could even ever command an army…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dull and boring, the concept is not the problem, but the execution is very poor
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mushroom Wars is a fast-paced real-time strategy game that manages to feel both immediately approachable and surprisingly strategic. Developed by Zillion Whales in collaboration with Creat Studios and published by Azur Games, it wraps classic RTS concepts in a colorful, whimsical presentation that belies the tactical thinking required to succeed. Rather than overwhelming players with complex tech trees or dozens of unit types, the game focuses on territory control, timing, and efficient…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mushroom Wars is a node-based RTS and defense hybrid. It’s fun and fast-paced, with simple but appealing visuals. The downside is balance. The last level spikes hard, and only one game mode really stays fun long-term. I did finish the final level on Normal, but I almost gave up. Overall, it’s a good pick if you like a challenge or don’t mind leaving a game unfinished. Recommended, but narrowly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →last level is rigged
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Says it supports both remote play and local multiplayer and it does neither. Devs too focused on cash grab of Mushroom wars 2 to fix servers or to make multiplayer work at all. very disappointing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Multiplayer is full of bots or it wont work. Thumbs up because I still enjoyed the campaign. The last level can be pretty difficult.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a perfect example of a good little game, where the devs have a romanticized view of how great their game is. The concept of the game has been done many times before. It's "almost" a straight numbers game, where you build up numbers, and send them to another building to take it, so you can get more numbers, and overwhelm the enemy. It's got a couple of other building types that make it somewhat interesting, but again, it's all been done before. There are a couple of other game modes to…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even as a teen, this game is kinda fun. Got it as a gift. Its worth 10 euros. I never played something like this, but i like it, ngl.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a lot of fun for the first few hours, but after about mission 10 in the campaign the easy ai feels just too difficult, and you'll begin to struggle unless you turtle for about 15 minutes and launch a few hundred troops just at one point. I can only play it for about 30 minutes before I remember why it stays uninstalled in my library.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is super cool
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only buy this game for Single-Player and Local Split-screen. Multiplayer is dead.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. simple but engaging. not a ton of levels of fun to just mess around on. can make it very challenging
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it is a shame that you have abandoned this once wonderfully balanced and great game. mushroom wars 2 will never reach its glory. while yes it's ambitious and quite beautiful, the imbalance in that game is staggering and absolutely ridiculous. It saddens me to see that this fantastic game's player base has disappeared. This is a good game, fun to play with friends on local multiplayer. But if you are alone, do not expect online matches any time soon. Very few people play unfortunately.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun, little game to spend one evening on. took me about 2-3 hours to complete. art style is cute. gameplay is very simple but enjoyable for its short while. story is also very simple and narrated without text or speech. could be a great game for little children.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mushroom Wars is a very cute strategy game. Its simple controls and many levels make it a good buy. If set on hard, the game can be pretty brutal, so even master strategists will have a good time. The game introduces you to new mechanics each level, so it never gets too complicated, and there is plenty of room to learn and experiment. You have only one type of unit at your disposal, you also cannot build structures anywhere you would like but are only limited to use those already placed at the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a lot of fun with this game. If Mushroom Wars 2 is too expensive, consider getting this one instead. It's a fun tower defense game, challenging but not impossible. I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, but if you don't have a friend to play with the lobby is empty in 2019. Artwork is extremely adorable too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some reward missions are fuxking annoying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the swarm games. I still don't know what to think of them, but this one kept me trying until I finished it. Maybe not the best, but solid. Sometimes I still ask myself how the Ai is doing it. It is nothing special, but can be given a try on a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I WANT to like this game. But a ridiculous amount of time sunk into matches where the AI reads your move as soon as you make it (all the while you can't predict where the opponent is sending their forces until it's too late), it leaves for a very frustratingly unbalanced game. I would accept anyone's recommendations for a similar game that is actually fair to the player--this game is certainly not it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →seems like a run of the mill swarm-tower-capture-game thing (i really don't know what this genre is called) but it's not really doing it particularly well. if you're gonna release a game that's been made hundreds of times before, at least make sure your controls and ui are better than the others.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Real Time Strategy game between mediocre and bad; it is tagged as Tower Defense, but isn't. Graphics are decent, but consist in quite simple cartoons, specially the backgrounds, maybe cause the product is orientated to children and multiplayer. Runs fine and rarely crashed. The mechanics is based on the old strategic games of the 90's, where the infamous "rush" tactic ( send all troops at once to attack one objetive or send them in waves to saturate and confuse ) was all and the IA rules:…
