Imagine a puzzle platformer with horrible controls that holds your hand through the entire 2 hours it takes you to wander through it. Now imagine that, once in awhile, that game turns into the underwater bomb defusal level from the first Ninja Turtles NES game. That's Last Inua, and it's about as much fun as it sounds. Strong art direction alone doesn't make this game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Inua disappointed from the very first minute i bought it. Upon starting the game first of all i noticed the cheap menu of an iOS port, but that's fine, it's not like i got it for the menu. Next, i see my game is in Russian. Developer says : "The game's language is determined by the language you machine is set in." My OS in actually in English, but who cares... There are indeed no language settings whatsoever, as well as no graphic ones. Only Continue, New Game, Controller Preset, Window…

I had to turn the game off a few times due to my frustration, but ended up coming back when I found (via Youtube) that the sequence I was having trouble with was pretty short. Last Inua is 2 to 2.5 hours long, and although the puzzles aren't really fulfilling, after a while I realized that I couldn't stop playing... I wanted to see where it was going. There is one collectible per level - a glowing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5/10. While I liked the puzzle platforming well enough, the controls are frustrating. Expect slow moving animations and slow to respond controls. It's like playing with work gloves on. You try to hit the right key and most of the time you miss the mark not because you hit the wrong key, but because you have to alot 1-2 extra secs for the actual game to catch up. While cumbersome, it did not ruin the platforming for me. What *did* make me almost rage quit were the "flying" end levels.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Recommend this game for it's wonderful story. P.S My full review is under the video http://youtu.be/R0N0cQjmZw0 This is a beatiful game with a immense stroyline, as you play as a Father who is trying to help his son (who you also play as) defeat the evil Demon "Tonrar". -/+ Gameplay is alright but the controls are a tad slow when the characters movement's wish it was a bit faster as they move very slow when climbing on the next platform and it doesn't help when getting chased the AI don't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In the 2D platformer "Last Inua", father and son Ataataq and Hiko set out to save the three Inuit gods -- the Raven, the Ice Bear and the Narwhal -- from the threat of the demon Tonrar. Alternating between both characters, you have to make use of their different abilities to master the environmental hazards thrown at them. Ataataq can use his strength to move and smash objects and climb walls with his ice pick, while Hiko can teleport and cast bridges made of light. Sometimes you take…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Inua has a pretty artstyle, boring-ish story, okay puzzle platforming, but the controls are frustrating. The animations are slow moving and the controls are slow to respond, but it did not ruin the platforming for me, what did were the flying levels with Hiko. Those were marred with shoddy controls that are difficult to handle. It's a one hit instant death with a full restart each time, not like rest of the game, where if you died you started where you left off. The narrow corridors with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It does look great and the story seems nice, but i´m disappointed with it. 1. I can´t change the language in game - setting my entire PC in a different language is not really an option. 2. The Controls are responding late at times or not at all. 3. Another game with no option menue for sound if it was one of those things i could/would look it over, but like this i wouldn´t recommend to buy it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pro: Looks great Steam cards & achieves Often on sale Casual game Short Ok story Con: Seems like a tablet port I'm having the control issues (not bad but enough to ruin the immersion) Slow paced Limited control & graphic options Overall: 5/10 -1 control issues, -1 graphic options, +1 actual graphics +1 story = 5/10 If you get this on sale, like it is now 5/10 +1 price = 6/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Inua is nice little platformer focusing on cooperation of 2 characters. Having beautiful artowork and not hard puzzles it's brilliant for rainy afternoon. The only thing I really hated about it are those levels where you fly with Hiko, those are rlly frustrating ones. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, this was an interesting game. Not sure if this is based around a real mythology or not, but the sotry was decent enough and the gameplay was decent enough. The graphics looked nice. Overall, nothing really screamed exxceptional or completely memorable to me, but it was fun enough for what it was....basically a run around and jump around platformer with some neat stuff mixed in. On a humorous note, at one point, you basically run through a bears colon. On a less humorous note, the flappy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Inua is a puzzle game where you control a father and son (each with different abilities) and attempt to get to the end of the level. The father can jump, rock climb, and punch through giant boulders of ice like Chris Redfield. The son is a little weakling who can teleport through portals scattered throughout the level and can spread magical glitter dust you can walk on. A level generally plays out with the father taking the lead, breaking ice blocks to open up a path, and then the son can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beatiful art style and simple story. This looked like fun relaxing game and in first it was. But then game suddenly gives flying levels and they are terrible. Very broken. Controls is bad and all time push you in spikes. When you die you have to start from very start of level. I tried many times and always boy dies in same spot because of control issue so I stopped. Dissapointing!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you don't have a ridiculous amount of free time on your hands, I wouldn't recommend it. It's not exactly that bad, but it's not exactly great either... There are lots of better platformers out there... The artstyle is nice, and it seems cool in the beginning, but it gets old really quick, with not so original enemies and puzzles, and the fact that the game holds your hand for a really long time... It's pretty "meh"... https://youtu.be/UtC05NTs0Vo
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On a mac. Controller doesn't work at all. 100% unplayable. Complete waste of money and time. PROTIP: Don't port a game to mac if you're not going to bother to make it work. AWFUL. DO NOT PLAY.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Inua is a classic example of good intentions being marred by both writing and gameplay. On the positives, the game is gorgeous and anyone who says otherwise is either being extremely pedantic or contrary for the sake of it. The amount of effort put into the backgrounds and "cutscenes" is astounding and there is an immense depth of detail and dynamics going on. Also it is nice to see a different set of folklore being used for once. Unfortunately the story paired with said folklore is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The thing that seperates this game from any other is it's very well told story, which is easily immersive with the relaxing music and cute graphics. This game plays so smoothly, with no headaches. One thing I can say that may not be for everyone is the two player based gameplay, the game is single player so you must switch from one character to the other to use their special abilites, rather than one character getting through a course you must get two characters through the course which…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personal Rating: Overall satisfying, but felt like something was missing Classic Rating: ★★★☆☆ This game is not bad; graphics are good, characters are too, the OST is enjoyable in-game and so are the sound effects but I was left with a feeling of incompleteness.. Game too short? Maybe. Linear gameplay? Probably. Truth is I still don't know where "Last Inua" falls short: I bought this game after playing "Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons" as i thought they look alike and they do indeed in several…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Fully played on SteamDeck LCD] I beat this game only for writing this review. And only 5% of players saw the ending. Sometimes, one button with multiple functionalities is very good such as "interact" and "pick up item" thingy. And this game took it very opposite way. You do not know what those characters will do. It could be jumping, punching, pounding or pushing. The other one could be teleporting to random location or just floating. IDK The control... very VERY clunky. A simple turn takes…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Clunky and awkward - I found myself struggling to complete this game, and when I did I felt like I should’ve just quit earlier and not wasted my time. It’s not abysmal by any means, but the unpolished controls really mar the experience. Skip this and check out Never Alone, a similar title that gets it right.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Inua is most of the time a simple but graphically well accomplished puzzle jump and run. You play with two characters with different sets of skills, which is rather cool. So far: A good looking, interesting and not too difficult platformer. The problem comes with three ( I presume there will be three, I only made it to the second) floating sections which make the game many times more difficult. While the somewhat unresponsive and clunky contorlls weren't a problem up to this point, in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved the graphics and I actually liked the slow paced platforming part, but the flying stage is just so horribly frustrating I would not recommend this game to anyone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a slow game with simple puzzles and decent atmosphere it is a decent game but they are better ones out there
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is incredible. You play as two characters, switching between Father and Son as the need arises, through a mystical, frozen environment trying to save your world from the evil of the Tonrar, a powerful demon wreaking havok through the land. You're met with a number of obsticles, challenges and enemies along the way which you have to over come, either individually or as a team. I'll admit a few of these challenges are incredibly frustrating (at least they were for me) but entirely…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute ♥♥♥♥. I hate this kind of games, made artificially difficult by changing the rules all the time. The cute characters and the forced story do not help either. The only consolation is that I bought it at a bargain price.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Annoying controls, bad platformer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought for a second I was experiencing a feaver dream. I finished it and im completely confused by the whole story, it felt like someone was on crack while writing the game. Also the German translation was sometimes completly off and I didn't even understand what they were trying to tell me. Atleast i assume the translation was off since the story made no sense! The game crashed a lot while playing it, and just by tabbing out of the game I needed to restart my computer just because the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warrning! This game is badly broken on the Mac! The developer seems to have poofed as their website is gone. Someone (the publisher I guess) is selling dead and completely non working software.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice adventure game based on a platform mechanism. It tells about the struggle for life of an Inua's family against Tonrar, an arctic's demon. The very first thing we notice is the beautiful 2d graphic, very traditional and, at the same time, extremely modern and accurate. The story is original and the player is forced to go on and see what will happen to the poor Inuas family. The gameplay is really various, because of the different characters, everyone with unique powers and weak points. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the first game I review on the basis of me actually quitting the game out of frustration. Last Inua is a pretty game. The artstyle is interesting, and the outlines of the story made me intrigued when I first bought it. The story began in a very sudden manner and the controls felt a bit wonky from the start, but it's a short game, so why not play through it once? That was my thought as I played this game and it was fine for what is was, although disappointing in terms of story and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very, very disappointing game. Very slow. I've read the reviews before I bought the game and thought it to be a plus. Not everything needs to be that fast and quick. But this is extremely slow and annoying. Great graphics can not avoid getting bored soon. The solo parts playing as the son makes you want to trow your pc out of the window. Some of them are complety impossible and no option to skip them. Just pure luck to get anywhere in these levels. Camera angle makes sure you cannot see a thing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The story was nice, and the animation was awesome, but it was kind of short, and I think there could of been more depth to it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just another mediocre puzzle platformer game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Inua is probably the slowest platformer i've ever played. You trudge along the terrain which seems to be absolutely littered with little ledges that you slowly have to climb. A bunch of times you will die because the game is too slow to reveal a threat or it will be unclear what is going on. One time a platform suddenly broke for no reason, dropping the father in front of a yeti. The worst parts are when you have to slowly cross the terrain that the father has cleared, despite there being…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The art design and setting are beautiful, but it's all ruined by terrible controls and mediocre puzzles. Progression just doesn't give you any joy... it just kinda happens. Shame. I thought it was an interesting concept.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Inua is a mediocre puzzle-platformer, redeemed purely by the novelty of its art and setting. Inuit culture and legend hasn't been previously mined for game-fodder, and this unusual harsh and mystical environment is the saving grace of a game that would otherwise be entirely forgettable. The mechanic of combining multiple characters abilities to resolve a puzzle isn't new, and hasn't been done particularly well here. Mostly it's just a matter of switching to the character needed to handle…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game goes from very simple platformer to levitating in heavy wind super hard
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes the game looks good but thats it. i've been playing video games for about 27 years and this game got one of the worst controls and game mechanics i've even seen in my life. Honestly the controls are sh.i.t beyond definition i don't even think the dev team tried this piece of pig sh.i.t before releasing it 3/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really nice game,i recomand you to play it,nice colors, the story is nice too. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gorgeous graphics and artwork amidst tranquil platformer gameplay makes this game a hit. A pleasure to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not enjoyable at any point. Bounces between boring, frustrating or infuriating. Everything in this game is pure annoying. - story is boring - father cannot even defend himself - controls are clunky - narrator in cutscenes sounds like some fking dwarf robot alien - random but constant thunder effect, like having flashbang on your face - characters stop at random to shout each other "c'mon" (by stop i mean you literally freeze for 3sec) - boss levels are the ultimate insult: combine flashing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS GAME SUCKS mind blowing apple gate key combination aclore nuts
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Slow and ponderous, which are both deadly poison to a platformer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A beautiful, but flawed game. Even though it is short, taking a mere 2 hours to complete, the mechanics feel stale quickly. This problem is made worse through the slow pace of the platforming and frustratingly poor controls during the few flying stages. The art style is amazing though, so please give it a try if you can get it from a bundle somewhere.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I decided to play this game after I enjoyed Never Alone very much. However, I was kinda disappointed. The game is quite glitchy and laggy, which also makes the last trophy very difficult. It has even happened to me to die, after I finished a level and wasn't controlling my character... The storyline is also dull and discontinuous. The collective orbs and the less than 3 deaths trophy are the only reasons to replay this game, in case you don't give up from frustration. I would only recommend it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is quite a nice game, it is a small and nice game. It has a few flaws, especially with controls.. But, not enough to make it bad. Worth buy it, when on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game! It is beautiful, story is almost tear squeezing (and I love northern mythologies <3 ), tasks are rather easy, but challenging. It could be more smooth, though - but I'm not complaining.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool little game. Got it in a bundle and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Great job Glowforth. Different.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very similar to Limbo, but with more story and puzzles that involve controlling two characters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent indie game! Really loved mood. Little repetitive and the voice between scenes can get a little annoying but overall it's good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game with good atmosphere and great art.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Last Inua is an incredibly atmospheric 2D cinematic platformer that immerses you directly in the harsh beauty of Arctic wilderness and Inuit folklore. You control a father and son duo Ataataq, a strong physical protector, and Hiko, his son gifted with mystical abilities. Together, they embark on an emotional journey through snow-bound landscapes, relying on each other’s complementary powers to survive both the lethal elements and an awakening demonic force threatening their world. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a story driven retro puzzle platformer with an Inuit theme as you control an Inuit through various obstacles. There's a lot of issues here, to begin with, retro platformers are dead and lazy. When this game was released in 2014, platformers were dead for decades. This isn't Weekend at Bernies. Let the dead rest in peace. Apart from that, the game has fixed resolution and fixed controls. The worst part, if you have a hotas, or racing wheel, the game decides it's a console…

Game feels unfinished and lacks content, you literally press D for 5 minutes and have cut scene drag on for an equal amount of time. There is hardly any story during the cut scenes, honestly its just concept art of what the game could of been.Feels like they said ♥♥♥♥ it, lets make a bundle game instead of a quality game.
