Gameplay / Story Your task in this game is to let your workers collect resources, which are then used to upgrade buildings or remove obstacles. There are three different levels of difficulty that have to be mastered. However, you can choose the hardest one immediately. You need quick reflexes and strategies to get a gold medal in the expert levels or to beat the developer records.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Released in 2013 and so few reviews (at the time I wrote this) AMAZING! Even bad games get more attention then this, and this is by no means a bad game. Well the story is basically revamping civilization but not in the usual RPG way. This is a time management game played by levels with certain goals to achieve at each level. (Similiar to how Faerie Solitaire, Labors of Hercules or even Tales of the Orient have level goals.) Break boulders, fix roads, reconstruct houses, construct water…

The game's concept is OK, this is more like a smartphone app game rather than a full fledged PC game, however it may well kill your time and your small budget. after a couple of level the game gets way too repetitive.. PROS : - Simple and easy to understand - Very easy game, even reaching gold trophies is quite easy - Cartoonish graphics - Indie style CONS: - Too linear -…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Since I've played 12 Labours of Hercules (though I can remember Build-a-Lot), I've been more receptive to casual time management. However, where I appreciated the simpleness of Hercules and the humor in it, I'm always afraid to find complex stuff to do. In Meridian: Age of Invention, you have to clear 55 levels with workers and carriers: you build houses, you repair some, you can work in a mine to find resources to keep building, you collect money thanks to the carriers that can transport…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short version: 76% Meridian is a super casual, lightweight time management game with next to no challenge whatsoever. But with such a cute art style and fast-paced levels, it really doesn’t matter as the game is incredibly fun! Long version: Time management titles are usually classified as casual games, but Meridian: Age of Invention takes that to a whole new level with how easy it is. Which is a bit strange, considering that it has a remarkable pace for its genre, but this combination of…

This game is a pretty straight forward time management game, no bells or whistles and nothing out of the ordinary. Your goal is to help rebuild a society and most levels consist of you rebuilding houses, delivering food and supplying water to the houses. You also build bridges, and other things as well as play some levels on water. The game play is simple and predictable but also becomes very repetitive since the levels usually all run on the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like that Meridian is an easily accessible game. It basically feels like a "freemium" mobile clone of Age of Empires, where the combat is taken out and the focus is placed mostly on base-building. I enjoyed that aspect most about those classic RTS games. What I don't like is how simple the game is, there's no challenge. Each level I've played so far has been a part of one long tutorial. The requirements for each level are generally to clear some debris, repair/build structures, and collect…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fluffy, casual time-management game. In the best traditions of casual games, it's cheap, cheerful and unchallenging. And, had it behaved a little better, I would ungrudgingly have awarded it my approval. Unfortunately, on my system, once every nine levels, on average, the game hung up so viciously that I had difficulty even getting it to relenquish control of the monitor so that I could kill it from the task manager. The first time this happened, I thought I was going to have to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really should have researched this game more than I did. If you want a casual tappy tappy screen time game... then this is for you, bur for those of us that enjoy a nice long strategy game with multiple ways to build and create, not so much. Graphics are ok, for a tablet or something, but only allows for a fullscreen resolution... I have a widescreen. Gameplay is very linear. Tappy screen, and watch for blinky flashy thingy. TLDR; casual game, not strategy game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/GZhdpRtBnz0 The spinning plate and resource management elements that make up this game are bare bones and don't offer enough mechanics or originality to make this title stand out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Meridian: Age of Invention" is a pointless "12 Labours of Hercules" screen tapper/clicker game. There's no gameplay, just tapping on the screen. The game is made to look like you're making interesting decisions as you're presented with a map of a town/village/pathway that has you clicking on various things to collect things which are then consumed when you click on an obstacle, which unlocks more things to click on. This is so lame and shallow, you could write a script to randomly click the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is simple but not that interesting. Similar games have a relaxed mode for playing it without stars, while this one doesn't have that, unless you make everything perfect which is quite irrelevant from my point of view. Some maps are quite nice, some do not mix with the story but well... it's a simple game :P It's not a bad game just one that could be better and improved with a patch. Also some of the buildings are simpler in design, everything seems not that developed... Maybe a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are better games in the genre, and better uses of your time, even at the low price of fifty cents.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Promised innovation but the game is boring and monotonous graphics are flat and controls are terrible the story is nonexistent not worth the time for anyone looking for fun avoid it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Clicker - Cooldown Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: 12 Labors type. Redundant. Prefer flavor and themes from competition. This is a priority clicking game in which you have a HQ and little workers run along pre-drawn pathways to clear obstacles and get ressources. This game's mechanics are centered around having to micromanage the economy between the multiple buildings built on your hotspots by queuing courriers so they can move ressources to and from…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not sure why this game doesn't have more reviews. I've played a lot worse with a much higher price tag. at 2.99, its cheap. Then I've also seen the game in quite a few bundles. Time Management games are usually obnoxious. This one's fairly simple. 8/10

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played so many of these time management clear the road type of games and this one is a breath of fresh air after so many of them being basically the same exact game reskinned. What it does differently than most similar games: - Resource collection is done by different workers, - you only have money and ore to collect, - you mainly build houses and upgrade them by providing water and electricity, - you deliver things for the houses. Sadly it is quite flawed: - most of the levels feel…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's very simple, and probably the most fun waste of time I've had in a while :) Finished it in one sitting, only took a few of hours. The graphics were cute, the game play seemed to be aimed at a young audience (early teens perhaps). Was a nice little game and as I didn't go in with any expectations, I'm happy to say it's left quite a nice impression on me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Meridian: Age of Invention is a solid little time and resource management game and a worthy timesink if you enjoy the genre. You play a professor who travels around various kingdoms testing new inventions and solving problems. The graphic style has a steampunk vibe and the graphics themselves are reasonably good. The story is forgetable and music chosen gets very repetitive and got turned off quickly. The gameplay itself is a little different from other time and resource management games in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game! HD gameplay & maps Cool music 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →funny, interesting but boring. not a deep game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not bad for the price, not more then an app for your iphone or tablet, but fun. I like the tones of socialism in the game. Fun to see how the people require the gov to fix everything and do nothing on their own. Sort of like how America is becomming.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The time management mechanics feel undercooked: there's no action queuing, so you're stuck waiting for a worker to finish one task before you can even assign the next, which drags the pacing in a genre that should feel snappy and reactive. Builders also move slowly and need to be deployed in bulk to get anything done, while there's little clear logic behind which jobs couriers get assigned, making the whole workflow feel more like guesswork than strategy. On top of the gameplay friction, the…

unlabelledView post →I made it about halfway through the game it just started crashing. I can't get it working again after several troubleshooting attempts so I can't recommend this game. If they fix the crashing issues then I would say it is a good time management game, similar to 12 Labours of Hercules or Weather Lord. Controls aren't as smooth as those 2 games, but you get used to it after a few levels.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Age of Invention, developed by Mirball Games and published by Alawar Casual, is a time management and resource strategy game that blends classic puzzle design with the charming aesthetic of a lighthearted rebuilding adventure. The game places players in the role of a talented inventor who must help restore a once-prosperous kingdom to its former glory by repairing cities, constructing vital infrastructure, and managing the flow of resources and labor across numerous missions. The premise is…
