28 of 28 · most liked firstThank you to the developer for kindly providing me with a key for review purposes. --- While there is some room for improvement and more content, Laser Disco Defenders is a neat little roguelite that brings an interesting twist to the bullet-hell genre. I found the 'one-more-run' addiction strong in this one. Very easy to get into. There are metagame unlockables in the form of clothes/swag that are functionally different and change how you play the game. Some make it slightly easier, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Laser Disco Defenders DISCLAIMER: I received this product for no cost for the purpose of reviewing. However, this does not affect my views and opinions of the game. Laser Disco Defenders is a 2D twin-stick shooter with bullet-hell elements. You play as one of many "disco defenders", each with their own benefits and disadvantages. You navigate your defender through each stage destroying all of the enemies in order to progress to the next area. You have to dodge enemy fire, as well as your OWN…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tl;dr A groovy game which requires bullet conservation and a whole lot of time! A game that everyone who is a fan of Bullet Hell games should pick up! Pros: -Good music -Orignal mechanics -Asthetically pleasing -Well priced -Decent powerups -Addicting -Endless mode! (replayable) Neutrals: (mostly facts) -not enough enemies (a good possibility is that I have not got far enough) -bullet hell -brightly colored -groovy Cons: -No sensitivity option that I could find (sensitivity i think was…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Laser Disco Defenders: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lord Monotone, a self-pronounced musical genius is somewhat peeved that his masterpiece, a 10- hour space sax solo, was unequivocally rejected by the Intergalactic Vision Song Contest. He is now hiding in the Seebach Star System and composing the worst musical solo the Galaxy will ever have to endure. Who can stop Lord Monotone and save the Galaxy? We need to call the big notes - this is definitely a job for the funky Laser Disco Defenders team!…

unlabelledView post →A laser based bullet hell game with a disco soundtrack. All your lasers as well as enemy lasers stay in the level and bounce around so the more you play the harder it gets. A really interesting idea. https://youtu.be/3oiKOUlN6qw
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In the beginning I thought this game would be boring but after I tried it for a bit this is my review. Okay so I find the game pretty fun, challenging, amusing and also interesting. I did play the game for quite sometime. I love the music, the story line and the characters as well look fancy. I have about 150 FPS in this game compared to graphics it's quite good. so yes I rate this game 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tl;dr a fast-paced bullet hell with funky tunes and funky moves. Laser Disco Defenders isn't the sort of game I'd pick up normally, but I had a preview of a pre-release build at a demo booth at a local gaming and video convention and I've followed with interest since. The gameplay is essentially flying though the level and destroying enemies (with frikkin' lasers), with the interesting twist of any shots stay in the level. There's different characters - they vary from slow with lots of health…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →#Beaten - Played (Im guessing) at least 40 hours on PS4/Vita A very fun twin stick rogue-like where the main twist is you (and your enemies) shoot lasers, all of which endlessly bounce off walls, making for things to dodge which trying to clear (all enemies in) a level. 14 levels total. You can beat it in around 15 minutes. It took me 40+ hours to beat it once. It feels extremely fair. It's just hard. Also endless mode! An easy recommendation.

unlabelledView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Laser Disco Defenders is a stylish twin-stick shooter developed by Out Of Bounds and published by Excalibur Publishing that merges retro arcade chaos with a flamboyant 1970s disco aesthetic. At first glance, its premise feels delightfully absurd: a tyrannical villain named Lord Monotone threatens to rid the galaxy of funk and rhythm, and only a squad of glitter-clad defenders armed with laser blasters can restore the groove. Beneath the campy setup, however, lies a mechanically inventive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game - colourful and fun retro-laser shootout. Nice and difficult, too - yet as the levels are procedurally generated you don't get bored! LDD's most unique dynamic is that your shots (and enemy shots) never dissappear and stay lethally bouncing around the game so you end up spending a lot of time dodging your own laser beams... it lends itsself to a lot of interesting strategies - do you just fire off a couple and be patient and wait for them to blast the enemy (boring) or do you go in…
