Also, nearly every review claiming that this game was amazing, was at 0 achievements at the time of me inspecting them, even if they had multiple hours into…

unlabelledView post →What a fantastic horror game. I’m honestly surprised by how well it nails the classic survival-horror feel. As someone who grew up playing Resident Evil and Silent Hill, this game hit all the right nostalgic notes without feeling dated. It brings back that familiar tension and atmosphere, but with enough personality to stand on its own. The art style is distinctive and genuinely interesting, and the audio work deserves real praise. Playing with headphones makes a huge difference — the sound…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Chilling But Bitter Letter To The Classic Survivor Horror This game deserves a mixed review. I played the demo of Kriophobia during last year's Steam Nextfest. The presentation impressed me so much that I even wrote a review (in a different language) and put it in one of the top 10 most anticipated games. Fast forward to today when I finally get the time to play this game, and my impression shifts. I am not saying that I am disappointed at the full release, but I am sure I wasn't as…

unlabelledView post →I don’t think it’s a bad game, it has some good moments—but the clunky animations, poor puzzles, and weird design choices almost made me regret playing it. You basically just run through corridors killing slugs. The patrolling enemies aren’t scary; they’re just buggy and boring. The puzzles are weird and uninteresting too. I’m sure some people might like it, but I’m not one of them. I did enjoy the middle of the game, but the beginning and the last part were really boring (even though I enjoyed…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A classic indie survival horror game that goes back to its roots. If you're a fan of classic horror series like Resident Evil or Silent Hill (not the FPS games of today, but from the PS1 and PS2 era), this game is for you. Made by a small team of developers, the game has its own unique aesthetic and atmosphere. I confess that at times I felt a little lost, but that's the idea of the game, nothing is handed to you on a silver platter, or guided by yellow paint like nowadays.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Thing meets Silent Hill set during the Cold War in a frozen abandoned Soviet base. There are some technical issues, however it runs smooth and the story of this game is top tier. The inclusion of English voice acting makes this game MUCH better compared to launch. Combat is melee focused while managing a cold mechanic, if you stay out too long you'll get hypothermia. Save rooms warm you up or different items. The game also rewards exploration and remembering where things are while back…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had to leave a review because of how beautiful this game is. I love the old school feel, mixed with truly frightening moments. If you like horror games, this is a must play. Just make sure to keep some hand warmers on you :P
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A chilling love letter to classic survival horror! I've only played for about an hour, but I'm already hooked and intrigued. The cold atmosphere creates a genuine sense of dread right from the start. It gives off strong Resident Evil vibes—it feels like a stylized PS2 Classic but with the polish of modern graphics and smooth movement. I really appreciate the survival mechanics here. Resources are scarce and the limited inventory forces you to make tough choices, making the use of the storage…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been waiting for this game for 8 years and it delivers. It reminds me of Resident Evil 1 and 0. I feel like I'm 10 years old again playing in my parents' living room. Somehow, the art direction makes everything so atmospheric. Strongly recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wait, I think I'm going the wrong way. Better turn around. Game wants me to go to sensors. I see sensor, I try to walk to sensor, game no let me go to sensor. Me big dumb apparently for wanting walk to sensor. Map even shows a line to sensor. Game too smart for me, apparently. I tried walking straight to the next sensor, can't. I tried following the dirt paths, can't. I tried quitting the game, I could! Edit: The game gives you a map of all the sensors, tells you "Let's start with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty much Alan Wake without the need for Batteries. The Puzzles are cool, the combat is basic but servicable and the story is great. Final fight really got me in the feels
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed the light dynamics, I spent time just observing the details that were hidden by the shadows. Never seen anything like this mechanic!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got stuck in the snow next to the fourth sensor. Every time I get out using space bar, I get stuck again immediately. Amazing game quality for ten years of development!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 silent hill experience
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow!!! What nostalgia!!! So cool! It really reminds me of the first Resident Evil, the atmosphere! It's definitely worth playing, the game's atmosphere makes you really feel the presence of evil lurking around the corners! lol The game's art is beautiful!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When you launch the game, The devs state that Kriophobia is the result of a labor of love. They are absolutely right! From the start, one can see that the devs are paying a big homage to the classics of survival horrors from the starting menu, the soundtrack and by even bringing back the classic "janky" controllers from the first Resident Evil/Silent Hill. Speaking of which, the control scheme have a nice touch of accessibility, letting you customize it for the best experience to your play…

unlabelledView post →Its okay for a indie game made by a small studio in Brazil, and gladly they finally got some dialogue in there. But the gameplay is lacking and the story isn't really there to make it that worthwhile playing. If you think you're a niche gamer and still wanna go for it, then don't let anyone stop you. (Just realized I spent 11 bucks on this, I can't say it was that worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game really reminds me of the olden RE/SH games with the visual style, controls, and core gameplay mechanics. Would like full English voices to be added to spice the otherwise somewhat lacking audio. Didn't run into any major bugs so far, so that's cool, and the game runs well on my ancient system. Will update my review if necessary. So far it is very much fun and I truly recommend it to fans of the aforementioned titles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a fun retro style survival horror game that I enjoyed. It had a few puzzles that I thought were well designed, the combat is relatively simple but you'll find weapons have durability so you may want to avoid a handful in certain areas. There's also mostly two enemies you actually do fight as the game mostly focuses on atmosphere and story telling. It was done very well.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am not a big fan of this type of camera. But I liked the difficulty it adds to the gameplay. Peharps should it better communicate the mission and what to do, but I get it was made to resemble old games. Overrall, good experience and the narrative has me hooked. Congrats on the launch!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels like classic PS1 horror games such as Silent HIll and Resident Evil! The visual art direction sips into retro 3D style and mixes it with crosshatch comic elements, creating a tailored uncanny valley feeling. Audio design is superb, strongly setting the mood for the tense parts. And when I selected some actions using text options in the user interface, my memory revived some classic Adventure games too! I had some problems using a Nintendo Pro Contoller at the start, but then it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kriophobia is a mostly well-made indie fixed camera survival horror game that attempts to integrate more systems-led gameplay, but trips up on aesthetic, collision and gameplay design issues. The story moves along at a decent pace, but there's no stand-out characters and very few unexpected beats. Worth a play, if you're a fan of the genre. The game takes its time to introduce the cast and the initial setting, with some decent acting and dialogue. There's also some really nice snow effects…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it would be 6/10 - still laggy when changing a scene - camera is somewhat horrible - why the coldness is still counted when playing echoes? - no skip cutscene button the art, setting, and gameplay mechanics are what i love in this title

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good game but still needs some work. Overall there is alot to like about Kirophobia. It starts really strong but looses steam in the last quarter and falls foul of some irritating features/issues. The puzzles are challenging and satisfying to complete Great atmosphere Creepy but interesting environments I love the Matryoshka design and the Big arm creature I really liked the Survival aspect of the game ( managing temperature ) The story was interesting but was hurt by the lack of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yup its good. Just finished Tormented Souls 2? This ones next.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The camera is just pure awful. It really doesn't matter what else the game could hold in store for me, I'll never get there. Enter a room just to have the camera rotate into another spot that isn't useful. The beginning where I need to move to different sensors? Enjoy watching the camera shift to show this trek from different angles that also makes it so you are no longer running towards where you need to run.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like this one because the story and monsters are really interesting but it suffers heavily from the camera mechanics, not great puzzles and enemies being bugged. Pros: + The story is really interesting and was easily pushing me through the game + The graphics are really nice, I love the style they chose + They added voice acting to the game which was a really nice touch, I always say it brings the story and characters to life Cons: - The camera mechanics are horrible, if you can…
