44 of 44 · most liked firstI’ve been following this game since its first demo. It’s an interesting concept, and it’s executed quite well here. Obviously, it still needs some work, as expected for an Early Access title, but for a solo-developed project that’s come this far, it’s honestly pretty solid. Here’s what I like and don’t like: Pros: *Visuals are obviously great *Sound design is excellent *Gameplay feels decent overall *Very scary atmosphere *Environments are fairly interactive *Fully replayable, with…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don’t listen to the negative reviews. If you enjoy a solid survival horror experience with unique mechanics, this game delivers, especially for a solo-developed project. It’s already better than most early-access horror titles out there. The developer has been extremely active in fixing issues and improving the game in just the one week its been out, and I’m excited to see what future content brings. We need more horror games that evolve and expand over time like this one, but some knee-jerk…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I appreciate the quick fix for the HDR issue! Especially with being a solo dev.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sad to experience another game that had a promising beta/demo but rushed release.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just beat the game. A spooky realistic horror game where you explore a beautiful immersive house and solve puzzles while explore the magnficient interior and solve mysteries. A phenomenal game 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Clunky But terrifying, I cant wait to see whats next.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bonefield looks quite good for an indie title — visually atmospheric, dark, and well-styled. Unfortunately, the gameplay falls apart fast. You’re running through a dark house armed mainly with a blacklight pulse you can trigger every few seconds. The catch: you can only see the Tormentor (the game’s monster) when that pulse is active and it happens to be nearby. Then you can shoot it — once — before it vanishes. But it’s never really dead. After a short cooldown, it’s back again. If…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not what I expected after having played the demo originally which I would say I enjoyed more than this, the initial use of the flash jump scare was alright but soon fizzled out, a lot of random ambient sounds in the back, didn't care for the ambience indicating the tormentor, would have preferred a quieter house and more subtle sounds from the tormentor instead, it feels like a paranormal loot extract with a hideout that looks like a kids room, I didn't use any of the lockers to hide in, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoyed the experience. Is the end of the demo after you get the usb hard drive and leave the house? There wasn't really an "End of early access" Screen. Also, the constant white noise tv sound when inside the estate can get a bit annoying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe it was me, which I admit, I'm not the best at these types of games. However, the title seems relatively docile with an over-reliance on jumpscare insta-kills. The flashlight is far too dim and the blacklight flashing mechanic grows old quick. The game does have a great atmosphere similar to PT, even with inspirations from other body cam titles. But it unfortunately is mostly flash with no real substance. 4/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bonefield is a bodycam-style horror game developed by RedRocksGS where you play as a private investigator sent to look into a whistleblower report in a troubled town. What starts as an investigation quickly turns into a fight for survival, as you’re stalked by hostile entities, scavenging for weapons and information while trying to survive long enough to get out. Pros ✔️ Good asset selection – The environments and props are well chosen and help sell the setting without feeling completely…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the moment this game is quite cancerous to play and I wouldn't recommend it in its current state for the following reasons > its dark as hell and items are small as ♥♥♥♥ making it hard to see where they are > the only flashlight I found was on the pistol (and I guess they are only on weapons?) > my flash button stopped working and I couldn't see where throatslicer6000 was running around at > my gun stopped working once > key finding sim > the tormentor dude dipped out randomly during my…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was unsure about trying this game at first, the negative reviews felt vague and some of the positive ones seemed a bit off. But I was pleasantly surprised. The game has more depth than it first appears, and what’s already here is genuinely scary. The sound design is extremely immersive and really sets the tone. If I had one complaint, it’s that the first episode doesn’t have a very definitive ending; it just kind of stops. But I’m confident more content is coming, and I’m excited to see where…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game dont play it. too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ glitched
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't justify the price of this early access at all. I understand its in Early Access but charging that much at the start of development, giving only 1 chapter and 30 minutes of gameplay is a bit cray cray personally. I cant refund, but if I could I would. Most people will be put off with the difficulty of the game - its very unforgiving with restarting back to the start no checkpoints sort of thing (if you die) BUG REPORT?: I don't know if its glitched but once you kill the monster 3 or 4…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the concept of the game is fantastic. I did actually enjoy how the game felt. What I think are areas of improvement are so far it feels like a key hunting simulator. And I feel there are some issues with the flash mechanics, if you are standing in a doorway it becomes almost impossible to see in front of you. Because it washes your screen out so much. Also because the flashing is so few and far between the speed of the zombie, humanoid, things, I feel is way too fast. If they had a slower…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid first chapter. I wish there was more though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really good, but confusing at times.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Better than I thought it would be. The graphics aren’t really strong enough to call it ‘bodycam,’ but the game itself is surprisingly deep mechanically, and I enjoyed my time with it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really solid, just needs more content.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is so good but finding things is too hard and no save system.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crapped my pants! Worth the wait indeed!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Haven't beaten the game nor played much, but it's been almost a year with zero updates unfortunately. No bug patches, no word on chapter 2. Dead game unfortunately. It has a great premise and it's a good concept for what it was, but it's not worth the price tag for the few hours it may give you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →games really not that good
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has a lot of potential. It's very athmospheric, every noise in the background won't let you feel safe. But also needs some fine tuning. Picking up items can be cheesy and the enemy spawn system seems to be buggy. I'm looking forward to the following chapters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the concept, go into houses find thier stuff and a creature you cant see unless you use a mechanic. However the body cam style of POV is overdone and gets nauseating fast. Not to mention a lot of bugs. Flash light for the pistol stopped working for the rest of the basement sections, making finding items harder. All in in all, 10 bucks is a steep price but i believe this game can go somewhere FIX THE SPAWNS AND SPAWN RATE
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the concept behind this game, and using a brief flash of light to locate an enemy is very cool and could be a lot of fun I think! Ultimately I wasn't able to even finish the game due to a bug where once I unlocked the basement and the enemy became active, the gun stopped working and wouldn't shoot. I made sure to check to see if it was a keybinding issue, or ammo, but it was neither. I could shoot in the waiting room to select a mission, and in the house until I unlocked the door to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Right, just tried Bonefield. These are my first impressions of what's in the current early access build as of release. Great atmosphere & presentation that are brought down by a lack of direction beyond just; look for the thing in the basement. So unless you're eagle eyed it's easy to miss key that are necessary for progressing foraward. Tormentors remind me of the enemies in Killer 7, I love the idea of an invisible enemy that you have to jump scare yourself to see, but it sucks how they can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →runs at 25 FPS. Lowest settings, highest settings, doesn't matter. Weird
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just didn't work? couldn't get past the very begining of the game because I could not find anything after watching the VHS tape, just a house with nothing else in it.
