60 of 66 · most liked firstShort version: 72% Kingdom of Aurelia is a fun casual adventure game with a hint of hidden object gameplay in it. Its story and level structure is especially praise-worthy, because it manages to eliminate pointless backtracking yet still provides enough challenge. Long version: Kingdom of Aurelia: Mystery of the Poisoned Dagger is the direct sequel of [url=http://store.steampowered.com/app/302730/]Namariel Legends: Iron Lord—and by “direct”, I mean it: it starts almost right at the moment that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My Playtime: 2.6h (finished the game and bonus content) Intro Kingdom of Aurelia: Mystery of the Poisoned Dagger is a point-and-click game with hidden object elements, in a similar style to Artifex Mundi games. It has fewer hidden object scenes from the game it tries to copy albeit with better voiceovers. Pros: - 4 difficulties to choose from, including a customized one - A lot of unique puzzles, some can leave you stumped - Hints and skip button for those who need it - Simpler hidden object…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was a pretty entertaining game until it bugged out in the bonus chapter when the door handle did not appear in my inventory. Now I am stuck and cannot continue. Unfortunately I cannot recommend a game with game-ending bugs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is malfunctioning. I've encountered a bug which prevents me from playing on, The developers have not responded to the mail I've sent regarding this problem. This HOG has no steam achievements or cards. The Hog-scences and puzzle itself are okayish. The story can be interisting enough, but not in the way that it is told. Too much info in the wrong places and too little in the right places, so it doesn't keep me engaged. The lack of response from the developes makes this a definit…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice, but too easy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Who actually goes out of their way to play this?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well... I tried. I can't even BEGIN to play this game. That's right. This game really hates it when I put in a "Profile Name" or Player Name... Whichever. It doesn't matter WHAT you put in there, the same thing will happen -> A drop down menu will pop up on top... Which I think has to do with programming command prompts and you are unable to touch the game... Nor close the command prompt. If you close the game and restart it -> You will be told that "your file was corrupted" and you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great production values make up for a general lack of HO scenes. A 60/100 effort. Recommended if it's cheap. The good Excellent visuals and animation Story is decent, and not too out there High production values Puzzles are good The bad Typos abound Minimal replay value Short Not enough HO scenes, and the ones that exist are way too basic
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Point and click game with very little hidden object. Great visual and graphics Cool interactions/animations Well made music/sound-effects Good original and creative story Random interaction made the world feel more alive/belivable Just a AAA point and click game Cheap game for what you get - Crashed one time when tabbed out for 3-5 min but game got saved automatic anyway. - One visual glitch when locking enemy in toilet he spawned back but when he drink again and go to the toilet enemy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very nice casual point-and-click adventure with logical, fair puzzles. There are also a handful of mini-games and simple hidden-object scenes. I played it on the most difficult mode, and had a pleasant challenge. Whenever I got stuck, straightforward thinking got me through the challenge. It's rare to find point-and-click adventures that do this so well. Kudos to the designers! The story is trite (and the English-language voice acting atrocious) but the gameplay makes up for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An extremely buggy hidden object game. Not worth the time to deal with those when there are much better hidden object games out there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game breaking recursive stack errors mindlessly easy, almost a P&C walking sim from forced gameplay even free is overpriced for this turd
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quick and forgetable HOG with a bland story and easy puzzles. *Yawn*
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has game-breaking bugs. Got to the 90% of the game, accidentally exited the item while applying a part to it? Part disappears, game is now impossible to finish. Do not recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too many bugs; a lot of them can be fixed with a restart of the game, but I ran into one which softlocked my progress for that playthrough as I managed to bug out one of the core items needed to progress the scene. Thinking it might just be a one-time thing, I tried doing another run, only to get stuck in the same place again. A game that cannot be completed because of a gamebreaking bug is automatically not recommended.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pros + nice looking graphics, character models and animations + well made cut scenes + music is relaxing. + game's story is intriguing + puzzles are mostly enjoyable and easy. + voice acting is ok + there is auto save + three difficulty options + hint system helpful + hog scenes easy and enjoyable + bonus chapter and contents such as wallpapers and developer's sketches. + nice twist in the end cons - game is short - there are no cards and steam achievements but there are some in game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ Nice enough story for such a game + Many different mini games + Nice variations in the hidden object types +/- More point and click than hidden object - Can bug out, leaving you with no way forward. - No bug fixing apparently, since I had the same bug as others about a year ago. Without steam achievements, there is no incentive to restart the game if it bugs out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good hidden object game if you have -90% coupon. Nice design and music. The story is good too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game looks great and could be very enjoyable to play but like many other stated already it is riddled with bugs, in literally first 10 minutes all of the sudden game stooped registered my mouse clicks, crushed and changed my monitor resolution int the process?! Starting it again made game run in small window with huge black bard on the sides, top and bottom even if it was in full screen mode. Turning off and on full screen get rid of top and bottom black bars but not the side ones game still…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice adventure game. The only problem i saw was that a command console appeared several times, sometimes preventing me to use items from the inventory, thus forcing me to reboot the game to get rid of the console. Other than that, the ending shows possibility of a follow up game, but haven't found it on Steam yet.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[UPDATE: I was almost done this game when I wrote the review. Since then, the bonus chapter seems to have bugged and I can't proceed. The rest was fine, but this definitely makes the game borderline for positive recommend.] A little too easy and the story is simplistic, but still a decent HOPA with more than enough length for the price (though I'd get it on sale). Play as Princess Aurelia's young friend, and head off to find a cure for her serious wound from a cursed dagger. Not a bad…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashed just before the ending, said the save was corrupted and deleted it, lost all my progress. Avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have mixed feelings about this game. It wasn't *bad*, it just wasn't very good either. If you like point & click/HOG type games there are better ones out there. It's vaguely reminiscent of an Artifex Mundi game but with far fewer HOGs. The HOGs in this game aren't the 'collect a bunch of things in the scene' type. Instead you have to get something and use it on something else to get something, etc, until you get something useful. Personally I find HOGs boring so having fewer wasn't a bad…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this as I noticed it was from a smaller developer and hadn't been reviewed yet. Unfortunately the game is unplayable and seems to be a pre-release version for developers only. I will be requesting a refund. Editing to add: this refers to the mac version only.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kingdom of Aurelia is the second steam punk HOG by Shaman Games and continues the story of Namariel Legends. The gameplay and the story are very close to part 1, so you should have played it before. Otherwise, there is nothing completely new in it, except of the main character you are playing. If you liked part 1 you will like it too, but if you just found it ok... well, maybe you shouldn't continue. For me, as I love stampunk, it was great, especially because of the design.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty decent point and click game. Didn't experience any bugs personally but it seems that a lot of people did. I think if you're into point and click / hidden object games you'd probably like this one
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and enjoyable Hidden Object Game. Puzzles were not too difficult, clues and hinting were well done. The sliding puzzles were my favorite as it exercised my lateral thinking for a bit. The hidden object puzzles felt unique by having me combine items to create the listed one. Ran into one or two bugs, but I was able to continue after restarting the game. I'm pretty happy with the length, but I've played a few HOGs that were really drawn out. Definitely worth checking out if you're a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kingdom of Aurelia is the continuation of Namariel Legends. The game still is nice, but lacks in comparison, as it is much shorter, I played around three hours and kept it running for food and bathroom breaks (i am really not a fast gamer), further, the dialogues feel incomplete and characters we got to know well in the first game feel like numb NPCs (Uncle). It still is a fairly good game, more Point and Click than HOG. The game had a few bugs and slow moments but nothing that impairs the the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice game...recommended. Just had to use the Hints a lot of times to find hard-to-find objects but hints are very good and userfriendly. Game does not last very long but follows well on the other games in the same genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a very simple and fast paced HOG that is somehow worth trying. pros. fast paced very simple twisted ending? (bonus story) ok story. cons. very very short. story= two hours. bonus story= half hour low resolution I only recommend this game on sale or from a bundle. i give the game 5/10 due to the short time of gameplay
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great art, lot of work into the character models. Not many hidden object scenes and all the same style (find one item to unlock the next item, repeat). Good as a basic adventure game, though. Console opened for me after combining items once--had to relaunch the game. Minor translation issues, more comical than anything. Still worth it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The puzzles were fine from what I remember but the price seems a little too high IMO for what I feel I got out of the game. I did get this in some random bundle of games so I paid less than the price. It is a fine hidden object game otherwise but not the best one I have played
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Backlog Day: Kingdom of Aurelia: Mystery of the Poisoned Dagger One of those 'we forgot what genre we are' adventure/hidden-object puzzle games. Lite on the HOG aspect, more on the 'try the thing' aspect. You have so many chances to commit murder, but the game will never allow the idea of it.
unlabelledView post →Some real puzzling parts but everything eventually moves you forward. No dying while trying, just explore each item for use.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game hints help ,had to play whole game ,going to play extra game next great lay out and graphics
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the storyline as well as the degree of unpredictability of where items can be found. Great game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As I remembered this game is a sequel of the first game. And that can explain whys some moments unable to understand. Also it's very short but I enjoyed to pass (about 3 hours to pass mb 2.5 if you play well)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nice game. no bugs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, full of bugs every game i played from this company theres some sort of bug. obviously this company cant make decent games
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fairly easy and enjoyable
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/lM52HxS4Sqc Diving further into the Kingdom of Aurelia only puts a spotlight on where the seems of the setting are pulled thin as it tries to do too much.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →LOL ... it was a perfectly fine hidden object game - some good parts, some lame parts. One challenging mini-game. Then about 3/4 of the way through - I assembled a sling shot but I "charged" it too soon and even though there is a big barrel of fruit available can't pick up any more. Effing hell. There was also some weird lag issues - but not being able to complete it is a downer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is like many other Shaman games--an easy point and click puzzle adventure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a routine hidden object casual puzzle/adventure game with a historical/fantasy/mystery theme. Solving various puzzles and hidden object minigames reveals the plot and unravels the mystery. This particular game has a number of serious game breaking bugs that the developer is aware of but chooses not to fix, which is reprehensible enough, but it gets worse. Once more we see shady mobile devs trying to scam PC gamers. On Steam, this is $10, on app stores, it's completely free. Mobile…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nice steampunk adventure game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is an okay Hidden Object game. The puzzles are not that great. Apart from few puzzles here and there, most of them are too easy. Story is meh! Art style is above average.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun casual romp. Very few hidden object scenes but the way each stage is put together is quite enjoyable. Certainly not something you want to spend a lot of cash on but definitely worth a play if this is your kind of thing!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The story was not bad, and few of the wallpaper was great. The mini game is fun to play tho, but the game have many bugs. 6/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not really a hog, just an adventure point & click. Anyway, pretty good. Not a lot of puzzles but decent story and well executed flow. Only minus comes from crashes that occurred during bonus gameplay couple times.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →decent game for passing the time, similar to other click adventure games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Graphics, artwork: 9/10 Map: navigable Puzzles: could be more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seem's pretty damn good so far, i do love's me a good "hidden object/Puzzler game". I see a lot of people saying it crashes all the time but I have had no problem's at all so far and it run's great! Can't wait to get back into it.... but for now i'm off to make my daughter's tea time meal lol.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A true stand-out for the HOG crowd. Puzzles are intuitive and make more sense than a lot of other games. The hidden object scenes themselves are more fun and interactive than just "find all items on list". The whole game is quite short if you're a pro at these games, but DEFINITELY worth admission price just to experience how well one of these games can be done! Can highly recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a good game. No complaints.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty interesting adventure game with puzzles of different complexity. There`s a function of hint (it`s really useful function). Moreover, you can also skip over a puzzle if you can`t solve it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This entertaining game isn`t too difficult, but sometimes you may reach a deadlock. In this case, you have the chance to use hints or even skip over a complex task.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's super boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice Game. Easy to follow easy to play. Really nice graphics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this in a bundle and it is a pretty good game. A couple of little glitches (example - I had to make a rope to climb down somewhere and then take the rope with me to use it again later. I had to put the rope back and take it off repeatedly for it to let me move on. Some how it got stuck thinking I hadn't finished that portion.) Other than that, it is a good game. No complaints.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tedious with repetive puzzle, not even worth finishing
