60 of 83 · most liked firstIn the beginning, I disliked this game so much and knew it would never recommend it to my friends. However when the first part ended, thankfully, the game started to be more interesting. I dislike anything about pirates, ships, sailors. The sea life in general, and when the game started off like that I felt so disappointed to the point that I stopped playing the game for a while because of the bad story and annoying looping music. However, I returned to play it this week and can easily say it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →World Keepers: Last Resort (IHOG) Options: separate sliders for music and sound effects, custom cursor and full-screen or windowed, plus three difficulties to choose from. HINTS cannot be disabled, no matter which difficulty you choose, so click carefully. There is a jump-to MAP, which can only be accessed via the journal (there's a MAP button at the very top.) There are 7 chapters, total, and each contains one hidden object scene, which you will visit twice. On the plus side, all of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short version: 57% If World Keepers had some voice acting and a half-competent script, then it could have been an awesome hidden object adventure: gameplay is challenging, there are plenty of interesting locations, and the puzzles are fun. Long version: World Keepers: The Last Resort has only one problem, but it is a huge one: it feels like as if a little kid wrote it. The story cannot keep any focus as we wander from place to place, while reading dialogues that were likely cringe inducing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly this is the worst HOG that I own. There is no dialogue, the story is so random that it's very time consuming to try to find out what steps you are suppossed to do next. Most of the time, especially in part 4, you are following instructions written on pieces of paper and just collect things to assemble something greater. It's really and I mean really tedious and boring - I miss the joy in exploring. On top of all this, you have these extra doll characaters that are meant to help you and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This get a half-thumbs up. If this were a movie, that would be a 2 out of 5. Not low enough to be a 1, a thumbs down, but this is by far the weakest HOG I have ever played. It's also terrible as a first person shooter and as a tower defense game. It's not even good as a collectible card game or a time management game. Really, there is no genre of game that this game excels at. But it slides just at par because all achievements are easily obtainable and except for a few typos, there were…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall Rating 5/10 A straight nuetral here. Hate giving this game a "Recommended" rating, but it doesn;t deserve a "Not Recommended" either. The game feels like a typical Free To Play Hidden object Flash game found online. It probably is F2P out there somewhere. One of thise games that truly needs a "Neutral" rating. 5.7 hours for first playthrugh, mainly because I got bored and paused it, minimized it and forgot it was running. However- it took 2 hours of continous play for the "Glued To…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The story is silly but interesting. It has many inconsistencies but it's fine as a whole. The gameplay is OK(ish). There are quite a few bugs but they aren't very annoying. You can solve everything without having to use any hint and you don't feel the need to skip any puzzle. In general, the puzzles are logical and quite straightforward with a few exceptions. IMPORTANT HINT: There is an issue with the last puzzle involving a clock where the position of one of the clock hands is not where you…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While not the worst game in this genre that I've ever played, not exactly the best either. It's a solid 5/10, middle of the road game with a nice combination of hidden object scenes, puzzles (some a bit frustrating on difficult) and adventure-game collect/combine/place objects. The seven chapters are nicely paced so that you can finish in one sitting or take a break without losing too much of the basic story line which is somewhat well-done if not well-written dialogue-wise. If music and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The map button is INSIDE the task book - really inconvenient to get to, and a waste of game play time to access it!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game so far. Just a few points. They skimped on some stuff. The Music is terrible. I almost had to mute it. Its a 10 second sound clip that just keeps repeating forever. Annoying. The sounds are lacking. No voice on anyone inside the game. The graphics do look sharp and I like the cartoony look. The cutscenes are good. The story is interesting. The puzzles have been fairly easy so far. The hidden puzzles are easy to find stuff in. I do have one nit pick and that is placing stuff on the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A sub-par HoG with an incoherent and half-baked story, no voice acting, and the odd bug or two.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A slightly buggy hidden object game, but luckily I did not have any game breaking ones. However I did have to look up twice how to solve the issues I ran into. Other than that I don't have any complains about the game other than the map is in a really inconvenient place. Works without any issues with Proton (7.0-4).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not bad HOG that left me with a mixed feeling at the end. Pros. nice art work ok story ok difficulty ok gameplay time two hours 30 for the main story cons. no voice acting boring music that is very repetitive i have noticed at least one typo in the game putton => button the placement of the "doll powers" are very annoying it is right next to the hint button. i pressed the hint button right at the end by mistake which prevented me from getting the no hints achievement. no bonus story…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cute and easy game, with rather simple puzzles and hidden object scenes. The art is nice, the music is mostly non-intrusive, and the dolls are really cute. Yes, I know I said 'cute' twice. (shrug) The first segment of the game is definitely the best part, and the most interesting. The over-reliance on First Nations / North American Indian mysticism, and then alien mysticism is par for the course for these games, but still not great. There are many better HOPA games out there. This one…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It starts out okay and then you slowly realize that it isn't going to get any better... For one... The logic is heavily absent. Why give us elemental powers... Only to say "yeah, I will do this myself". After third or fourth time, I wanted to smack MC upside the head. ICE POWERS are the most overused powers. Fire and Thunder are mainly ignored and Time Magic is powerful af. Let that lil one just turn everyone/everything to dust!!! I forgot the story after I was done... Because it was…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not too demanding when it comes to HOG games. I enjoy playing them in fairly short bursts usually while also doing other things like making or eating a quick meal or half paying attention to catching up on morning markets news on Bloomberg TV. Just looking for solid HOG scenes and mini-games and decent enough graphics that the HOG scenes are clear. If they do something a little innovative, and it works well, that's a nice bonus. I take it as a given that the story in a HOG is going to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game took me 5 hours to finish. The game has a balance of hidden objects and puzzles, which I like. There is no bonus game. The story is ok. There are 7 chapters in the game and each one is not long. There is no map and so you have to click, click, click to find what is next to do although the hidden objects and puzzles are near by. I have problems with 2 puzzles in chapter 6 that I couldn't solve without spending a lot of time. So, I had to use skip.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A sub-par HOG at best. The story is... tolerable, but the execution is just bad. The dialogue needed a good proofreading, some of the objects in the HOPs are named wrong (Putton=Button, Scale=Weight), there are things you need to click hidden behind the hint button and the HO scene item list, the art is kind of mediocre and there's no voice acting (which feels like a must when it comes to HOGs). Just stay away, you're not missing out on much by passing this one over.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not bad for a Hidden Object Game (HOG). I didn’t like the plot, but I’ll give it a thumbs up because I was able to get all the achievements and I didn’t notice any bugs or glitches during the game. I thought most of the puzzles were reasonable, but at times I did need to check a walkthrough. The most important thing that I learned from the walkthrough was that there was a map available in the game. I didn’t notice the map because there is no map icon on the main screen. To get to the map, you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The story is generally good (pirates and a little steampunk setting) but maybe a little over-combined. As for me I do not like the little helpers because they are useful only in specific situation. You can melt ice but no snow. (I used the wisdom helper by mistake and I did not get achievement "without any hint"). Audio was repetitive after while. A little strange way to button MAP. The best side of the game is the graphics. Combination of Fairytale parts, funny moments, steampunk, indian and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →World Keepers: Last Resort is a good HOG. It has nice graphics, a decent story and okay sounds. It has good puzzles and nicely done hidden object scenes. Overall it's a pretty decent HOG.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of those casual games that is technically considered a Hidden Object Game, but is trying to hide it as much as possible - it's a lot more adventuring and environmental puzzles with only a minimum of HOG screens. It's very cutesy (the World Keepers are little animated Kewpie dolls that look a bit like sackboy and have more personality than you'd expect for this style of game). It's also made 'improvements' that make it harder to play (scrolling screens that aren't obviously…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Where to start? Maybe I should start by saying it would be more accurate to say I was on the fence with this game. Music and sound effects annoyed me, so I turned it off and played the Final Fantasy XV soundtrack I have. This at least motivated me to work faster and harder so I could finally get through it and delete it off my backlog. Annoying dolls being picky about when they can use their powers. OOOH! Can't light that on fire! That object isn't EEEEVIL enough! Poppycock! Big floaty smoke…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/j6YnrVrLO98 Leaning as hard as possible to the absurdity works surprisingly well for what is mechanically a strait forward hidden object game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one actually wasn't too bad. I got excited with the opening - pirate themed, but the theme unfortunately didn't continue. Puzzles were OK, hidden objects were sparse (less compared to other titles), and the story was actually not confusing to follow.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not terrible, but should NOT be called a Hidden Object Game. Point and Click adventure with a few HOG scenes thrown in. I was very disappointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well drawn and lovely scenes art and concepts. The game is very much point and click but enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I picked up World Keepers: Last Resort as part of a HOG bundle deal and I cannot recommend this game simply because I didn't like it. I think this was because I saw the pirate theme and was expecting something more nautical or on the seas. Adventurous female pirate main character? Awesome! Great art? Sure! Clear hidden-object scenes? Yes! Little to no bugs? Thank you! (in my experience anyway - see other reviews or discussions for potential problems) The story was okay and separating it into…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun little game I would recommend if you fetch it in a bundle or on sale. I ended up running through it 3 times because first run I accidently hit the hint. The second time I ran under the same player, used no hints, yet still didn’t unlock the no-hint achievement. I realized I had to create a new player and delete my old one. Third times a charm. Some puzzles I ran through Hard mode, some I switched to an easier one. The graphics were typical. The dolls designs were cute even if they…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love HOG. Got a big collection in a lot of diffrent genres and I like most of them and give them a thumbs up with the right reasons but this time meeeeh. Story It started interesting with a character that could have an intersting backstory or interesting relationship with the people around her but like a lot of HOG make the same mistake: WHY would the enemy let you live? I have seen it in a lot of HOG. Yeah of course you are the main character but come on. I let you live to see the end…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pro The HOPs are solid. The game looks nice. Con You can't use the fire doll to melt snow, but you can use it to melt ice... There is no map. It's really annoying to go through several screens every time. Sometimes you really have to go through a bunch of areas to find a HOP Only about 2,5 long. The story is boring. Every video is "smoke monster trashes stuff". The music is a terrible loop that i quickly turned off. The sound effects loop badly too. You often have to click 2-3…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I initially found this game frustrating, but I had to retract my statement since it was partially my fault for why it was irritating. When I skipped the tutorial, I wasn't aware that there would be a map with a notifier, so I spent a good chunk of my first time constantly struggling to see where I had things to do in. Play this game with grains of salt. PROS: > Window mode! > Cohesive looking hidden object scenes > Pretty lengthy, nothing was rushed. For its retail price, you get bang for buck…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have to admit, I really enjoyed this game. I've played a few HOGs before that gave you dolls for companions, but the fact that these were fully voiced and had their own personalities really set the game apart. The music, graphics, and gameplay were all well above average, putting this at the same quality level as some of the best Artifex Mundi titles. When you consider the low regular price (1/3 that of an equivalent AM game), there's really no reason to pass World Keepers up. Firmly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In my opinion “World Keepers” is one of the better HOGs from Alawar, with nicely drawn sceneries, good puzzles (complemented with little helpers that you need to use in certain situations) and controls. The story has a certain steampunk/pirates flavor, but otherwise it’s the usual “save the world” stuff. Audio is somewhat average, the dialogs are supposed to be dubbed, but I couldn’t make it work (though that was probably for the better). Graphics is definitely a plus, I really liked the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As much as I enjoyed many parts of this game, I think the devs should be more responsivle to the problem users are having. I played through the entire game a second time and still didn't get the no hints achievement simply because there is a bug where starting a new game does not erase the flag for using a hint in a previous playthrough. Several of the puzzles are very finicky and overly difficult to solve (easy puzzles, poorly implemented trigger for when you have actually gotten it correct).…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and rather lite HoG elements, 5/10. World Keepers: Last Resort offers 7 chapters, each lasting around 15 to 30 mins with just 2 HoG's and 1 puzzle to be found in each. There are no achievements related to difficulty and all can be obtained in one playthrough of about 2 hours on casual or 3 to 4 hours on hard. The HoG's offer nothing from the norm and will pose little challenge to anyone who has played a couple of similar games in the past, the puzzles... well that's a different matter.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This casual point-and-click adventure is not great, but is enjoyable. There are only a handful of easy hidden-object scenes, and the puzzles are for the most part trivial -- expect one that is brutally difficult in “hard” mode (I had to switch to easy for that one). The good things going for it are some adorable characters (no voice acting, just written dialog) and a pleasant narrative flow. Unfortunately the graphics are rather mediocre, and there is a weird resolution glitch: the scenes are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Genuinely, screw you, Alawar. Sure, we should hardly expect a shovelware publisher to give any sort of damn about players, but breaking the language selection also means YOU GUYS lose a bunch of money on translators, at least assuming you're not lying about the languages listed on the store page. Setting the language in the Steam game properties doesn't work, specifying it in the launch instructions doesn't work, changing the damn game.xml file doesn't work. And this is a known issue since 2017…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5/10 - A strange story, told in a pointless way, with some very illogical puzzles. Only for fans of the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really love the oldstyle HIOs. The charme and simplicity is just so really nice adn comforting. I really like the style and the mechanics this game uses. Not really something new but still really nice. The price is totally good for what you get. I can really highly recommend it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →World Keepers: Last Resort is a story-driven hidden-object adventure that leans heavily into atmosphere, exploration, and steady puzzle solving rather than speed or mechanical complexity. Developed by Alawar Stargaze and published by Alawar Casual, the game places players in the role of a determined heroine drawn into a global mystery where civilization teeters on the brink of collapse. From the opening moments, the focus is clear: uncover secrets, search richly illustrated environments, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's quite a generic HOG and point-and-click game. It started off well, but it fell apart after the halfway mark. The story is subpar. The music and sound are passable. The art is decent, though. No voice-overs, just text. That felt strange. It is divided into seven chapters. The tasks are not well thought out. The objects are weirdly placed and may often require pixel-perfect clicking to make them work. Some of the solutions and actions felt out of place. The puzzle challenges turned…

Unfortunately, the game has no voice over. It does have subtitles but there is something about that added voice that kicks it up a notch. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DEcent HOG based game. The Clock puzzle is not bugged though, the walkthrough solutions are mostly wrong. Hint: Analog clock behaviour applies 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lame story and lazy gameplay, nope.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sweet game. Nice mini games and a few hidden object games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros +Nice artwork and hi-res scenes +Achievements Cons +Bad story, hard to follow. +No voice acting…at all. +No click penalty in HO scenes +Repetitive music +Lacks sound effects for cut scenes +Grammar mistakes in text +Light ray puzzle is too hard I feel like World Keepers missed the mark on what could have potentially been a good game. It’s the usual stuff in a hidden object game: loose story, puzzles and HO scenes. I enjoyed the puzzles with the exception of one near the end of the game.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this was ok..i like the spirits and story .was short couple hours and puzzles were not to bad.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a very good game and a terrible Hidden Object game. The hidden objects scenes are not bad though it could be better but the solutions to item puzzles are terrible. Most of them make no sense and give you no hints as to WHY they would make sense or that they would work at all. This is not one that I recommend in the Hidden Object games category. I got it for less than a dollar on G2A but 4 dollars is outrageous for such a bad game. Also, it's not voiced (If you care about that sorta thing)…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent and short HO game What this game is: A hidden objects and point & click game with a story with a fantasy bent. How does it work? You will get the usual hidden object scenes with a few puzzles and a coherent storyline where your main character (a female pirate and adventurer) gets to save the world. It is not exceptional, but an effort has been made to have a decent storyline. How does it perform? Easy to play, it has all the usual mechanics of a HO game. It is not too repetitive,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The devs or artists put the hint button too far out into the screen, so I accidentally clicked it twice and that ruins one or two of the paltry eight achievements in that play and/or player. I suggest you backup your saves frequently so it does not happen to you. Decently long HoG - far too few achievements.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This piece is one of the better HOGs from this publisher; it's not the best, but decent at least; worth consideration when it goes on sale. As with most HOGs, it has a supernatural mystery plot, but this one is set within a pirate-themed premise. The story has an interesting, followable plot but weak, rambling dialogue with no VA. The HO scenes themselves are fine, though there are a few typos in the clues 'Putton instead of Button'. Minigames/puzzles are generally straightforward and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice story and enjoyable game, although the graphics are outdated, some names in HO are wrong, even to a puzzle there is a clue wrong, there is no voice acting and music is a bit annoying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent HOG with achievements. Please note the clock puzzle on the last area is glitched. I had to skip it to move forward. I looked at a walk though to see what I was doing wrong and apparently this is a known glitch. Still a decent game. Story is ok if you like this sort of thing. I recommend it but you might want to wait for a sale unless your a super fan.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Не могу однозначно ее рекомендовать, т.к. в ней достаточно недостатков, но все же она вполне неплоха, особенно за свою цену. Управление кривоватое, но багов не было - уже хорошо. Графика симпатичная, история занятная.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Harder than yer average. Some of the object boundaries are set a bit oddly, and there's very little handholding. Not finished yet, but I'm enjoying it.
