First of all this game is pretty old as it's been out since 2013, so I'm not going to compare it to any new hidden object game. It could be even better than any new ones which tend to be quite repetitive, this game does have a variety of puzzles, going from the easy ones to the extremely hard puzzles which took me almost 45 minutes to solve it. The story caught my attention from the first moment. Two lovers were having a romantic dinner where he was planning to propose to his girlfriend but an…

This would have been a positive review for the main game, but the obligatory bonus chapter throws this totally into negative space. Which is too bad, as the main game had a lot to like about it. But the obligatory bonus chapter had nothing to like about it. And here's why: in the game itself, you play a dizzy heroine searching through time and space for her kidnapped lover. Along the way, she helps a handful of other couples achieve true love, and she also visits a mysterious insane asylum.…

Broken as hell. Hidden object scenes are buggy, you have to click around like a madman to hit the right spot which sometimes is centimetres away from the object you are trying to collect. And you cannot pick some key items at all, which makes the game impossible to complete. I recommend avoiding this game until the developers fix it.

Short version: 67% Sacra Terra 2 tends to be cheesy and it has a huge problem with backtracking, but it has a ton of hidden object scenes and beautiful art to show for it. Long version: Sacra Terra 2: Kiss of Death is a gorgeous hidden object game, even with its unconventional aspect ratio. It is also has a plethora of great hidden object scenes with a wide range of challenge rating (albeit favouring the higher end of that spectrum). Sometimes this difficulty is artificial though, as the game…

Sadly a game that has too many issues (and isn't polished enough) to be recommended. The presentation isn't that bad, but you can see that the game is a bit older. The cutscenes are rendered okay-ish and the 3D models do look pretty dated. The main issue here is that the subtitles are horribly de-synced. Voice actors are okay and the music for the most part is very good. There's a good amount of interesting minigames and while the hidden object scenes look nice, the hit boxes are awfully off.…

★ — 3/10 - In the state it's in, I simply can't recommend this game. First of all, I'd like to say that I really enjoy playing HOGs and I was looking forward to playing Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death as it seemed fairly interesting but unfortunately, my expectations were not even remotely met at all. The gameplay is pretty much the same as it is in every other HOG but I've encountered so many bugs that it was just no fun to play and at some point a bug was the reason I had to ALT+F4 to close the…

Not sure how long I have owned this game for, or where I got it. Likely from cheap bundle somewhere. Just past halfway through the main game, I have encountered a gamebreaking bug that has me softlocked. I cannot progress, I can only restart from the beginning. I did not pick up the elephant Trunk from the truck before starting the truck, and now I cannot pick up that piece of the statue that i need to place to advance the story. The game is old, it did not age well, and after encountering…

Another superb entry in the series, and highly recommended for fans of casual point-and-click adventures and hidden-object games. The game is heavy on adventure puzzles--lots of content--and they are pretty much always fair and satisfying. The hidden-object scenes are excellent, and the few puzzle mini-games are soothing little distractions, though they are usually too easy. The story is, again, nothing to write home about, but it goes through several locales and feels diverse. The cut scenes…

Game Information "Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death" Collector's Edition is a Hidden Puzzle Adventure game. The game was developed and published by Alawar Five-BN. "Kiss of Death" is the second episode of "Sacra Terra." Previous episode: "Angelic Night." Since this is a collector's edition, it comes with extra features that are not available in its counterpart; the standard edition. Horrible story of releasing hearts of pure couples and trying to get back your future fiance from a monster from hell who seduced him. On the plus side, the map is great showing active areas and there is plenty of HO scenes. However, HO scenes seem poorly responsive. The biggest drawback is one particular minigame (at the end of the bonus chapter), which will take you around 40 minutes to complete, if you are bothered - if not, stay away from this game if you are looking for 100% achievements.…

Hoowee, this was awful. I preface this by saying I have the 'Hidden Object Bundle 5 in 1' from Alawar and played this game in there before realizing I had it in my library standalone with achievements. I figured, it wasn't terrible so lets play it again. What the heck is up with this 'Collector's Edition'? I've never played a game until now where the collector's edition was a LESS enhanced version of the... original? The one in the bundle is so much better. This version is missing a lot of…

Is it weird that I came here to laugh at how badly this game was going to be (due to the reviews) and ended up actually liking it? Yeah... It happened. Okay so, I will confirm that the game DOES have bugs. I somehow managed to skip over a scene, but thankfully went back and it still happened. Phew! Very few items (maybe two or three?) were bearing an incorrect name. Such as a "winch handle" which was a "knife handle" or something similar. To play the Bonus chapter: one must click…

Okay, so this one is weak on plot and the interface is... glitchy. Despite being newer than the first one in the series, it's less interesting, although also less creepy. But should rescuing your boyfriend from hell *be* less creepy? The good: - Steam achievements (easy with a bit of patience) - Steam trading cards - The HO scenes in and of themselves are decent (too bad the click zones aren't) - Um, it comes in a pack, so if it's on sale you get a double discount? The bad: - I almost…

It is a really buggy hidden object game when it comes to clicking on items (mainly in hidden object scenes where there is plenty of items where you will have to spam all around and on the item before it will finally register that you found it; I have played probably over 100 HOGs in my life and I have never seen hitboxes being anywhere near this bad before) and when it comes to unlocking achievements. The bonus chapter also has a minigame from hell that I would suggest just skipping or looking…

Wow. Easily one of the worst HOGs I've ever played, and I'm glad it's over. Absolutely laughable hit detection, puzzle solutions that make no sense, bugged out areas that skip over steps needed to progress and just end up super confusing, and the camera zooming forward toward an area AHEAD of you when you clicked to move BACKWARDS (because THAT'S not disorienting) are just a handful of the ways in which this game is embarrassingly bad. Nope, nope and more nopes. I just am overwhelmingly annoyed by this entire HOG that it's hard to start out where. Ignore my playtime (as a lot of it IS idle), but I did play through this game 3x and for some reason, 2 achievements refuse to pop. I never use hints in HO scenes the first time I play a HOG, but I do use hints in between puzzles and HO scenes, just because sometimes I need a bit of help figuring out what to do next. Just to be on the safe side, I replayed the entire game (including…

Fine HOPA 6/10 Duration 2 hours 45 minutes Story is okay (although generic) Puzzles are easy Some of the hit boxes in HO scenes are off, so hard to complete a HO scene with no mis-clicks/errors. Achievements seem to be somewhat broken. Bonus chapter was harder and took me 1.5hr to complete. Not great, but I 've played much worse.

This is a run of the mill hidden object puzzle game with a supernatural/mystery theme. Click through various screens with hidden object puzzles and other puzzle minigames to unravel the mystery. Despite being released in 2013 there's no working widescreen support, the game displays in 4:3 pillarboxed (the developers added panels to the sides). Regardless they're charging $14 for this, which would easily get you a HOG that works in 16:9, or pretty much any other kind of casual puzzle game…

While I had no issue with the story plot otherwise... if my boyfriend summoned a succubus in the two minutes it took me to take a phone call right before he intended to propose to me, I probably wouldn't bother going to the depths of hell to look for him. But then, there'd be no hidden object adventure on Sacra Terra island... Although on the surface, this game offers traditional HO fare, once you start to play it, your frustration levels might start to rise. It's pretty good as HOGs go, this game deserves a better score. The story is interesting, there are some good puzzles, a couple of which I hadn't experienced before, they where hard but fair and enjoyable. The game does have fast travel and it does jump back and forth a lot, too much I think. The Hidden Object Game/Scenes (HOG/HOS) where well drawn but easier than average and yes the occasional object had bad hit boxes which required extra clicking to find, but there's no mis-click penalty so…

I have played a few of these games and they are all relatively similar. Artifex Mundi has set the bench mark for the hidden object game. This has a fair amount of creativity, but is nothing particularly ground breaking. This game suffers from some problems that you just don't expect anymore. Some areas are still available - even when you have finished with them. Some hidden objects are obscured by click actions that you have no way of spotting without dragging the mouse over the whole scene.…

Such a cool game. Zhe voice overs are somtimes a bit weird, but its a nice sewuel to the first game, without the need of knowledge of the first part. The mechanics are mostly like in "House of 1000 doors" which is not bad because the series is really cool. The story is mostly a classic but the small substories are mostly the main core the game. A really cool game that is a must have for HIO lovers. I can really highly recommend it

Very fun game in the same style as House of 1000 Doors, at least the first couple games in that series. You have to free several trapped souls to rescue your boyfriend who has been kidnapped by an evil lustful succubus who is holding him hostage and probably violating him against his will again and again...and again. The gameplay is simple and easy to use. There is a map that is accessible by a button labeled "map" on top of the screen. Everything is fairly easy to access, HOPs are just…

The art direction is really good in this one and the cutscenes and animation are better than in most HOGs. Story is decent though you can argue the protagonists boyfriend is an idiot. Bonus chapter isn't bad either. The game's main flaw is that clicking items isn't always easy and you may need to click a few more items around the object to get it to count. I love HO games. This one had a good storyline but it had one of my major pet peeves. You had to click slightly above and to the left of some objects to select them. Not all of them...just some! The smaller it is...the harder to determine where the hit box was. This means that you can't finish the game without misclicks. I'm talking me clicking on the object for 20 seconds, even using the hint function, until I finally found the right spot where the game would finally recognize it was the object. This game is one of the worst hidden object puzzles I have ever played. Not because of the story, I liked that. It didn't have some of the major issues with games of it's type, regional item names, multiple tools that can do the same job, but had some others, needing to come back to pick up an item at the right time. The hidden object part was okay and the story wasn’t too bad, but I didn’t like a few mini-games and some of the items were hard to find because the hitbox was too small. I guess so, but mostly with a warning tag that this game will cause a bout of frustration. Perhaps the worst HOG I've ever played. While there are some redeeming qualities such as the unique puzzles and the amazing soundtrack, the game is an absolute chore to play due to: atrocious voice-acting, a boring and nonsensical plot, uninteresting characters, lots of backtracking, and a terrible hotspot sensor (clicking on an item won't necessarily add it to your inventory).

I enjoyed the story, and most of the gameplay. However, it was incredibly frustrating that I would click on an object, and it wouldn't register my click. For example, the hidden object would be a flute. I'd find the flute, click on it, and nothing would happen. I had to click around to find the exact spot on the flute to select it. This happens quite a bit with this game. Unfortuatnely, it turned a fun game into a frustrating experience.

Puzzles and HO scenes were a bit easy, but not insultingly so. There was a hefty helping of content, even without the bonus scene. This could be a good hog, but the game is frustratingly slow in responding. And it sure isn't my computer, as this is the very first time I have ever encountered this issue. Save your money, there are plenty of games in this genre that are better.

For the most part it's an average HOG. But it has horrible click detection, which is unforgivable for a HOG game.

I had played Sacra Terra: Angelic Night right before I played Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death, so a lot of this review is going to be a comparison to that game, for better or for worse. Sadly, this feels like one step forward and one step back. The story of the game I will say is a lot of coherent and evident when playing. While in Angelic Night I kind of understood the basic premise but was confused about who we were, why we were doing what we were doing (other than generically just wanting to…

WARNING: GAME-BREAKING BUGS!!!! There are at least a few game-breaking bugs that would force you to completely start over. 1. (main game) don't miss the brush at the cliff. 2. (bonus levels) don't miss the bronze skull on the bridge. Also, despite of starting the game over from scratch, 5 of the 8 Achievements didn't pop for me when I did complete the game without skipping mini-games or cutscenes.

Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death Collector’s Edition is a story-driven hidden-object puzzle adventure that aims to elevate its genre through emotional stakes, fantasy storytelling, and a broad mix of puzzles and exploration. Developed by Five BN and published by Alawar Casual, the game places narrative at the forefront, framing its gameplay around themes of love, loss, and sacrifice rather than treating the story as a simple excuse for object hunting. This approach gives the experience a more…

I enjoyed this game better than most of these older "point-and-click, puzzle games". Its not perfect, but this one seemed better than most.

Played through a majority of the game without issue, but encountered a game freezing glitch roughly 3/4 of the way through that I could not navigate away from without starting over from the beginning. Either way, this game was not as good as the original angelic night. The hidden object portions were mundane, and the puzzles themselves were solved within 1-2 scenes. The video cut scenes were horrendous. Overall the game was not as challenging and therefore wasn't as engaging for me.…
