unlabelledView post →Inbetween Land (FROG) Options include separate sliders for Music and Sound, Full-screen (just adds a background to the square of graphics we see - definitely not made with modern monitors in mind), and custom/system cursor. There are three game modes to choose from: Casual, Normal and Expert. This title is a FRagmented Object Game, but an adventure-lite at heart. It's short, relaxing and straightforward, with very little backtracking, and not a lot of elements to keep track of. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keep in mind the game is old, older than the release date here on steam, so the art looks a bit dated however I enjoyed it, I liked the comic cutscenes, and liked some of the locations art. There are many details in the locations and even in the options menu! I was pleased to see even the gears moving. (I appreciate this kind of details and art) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=907196615 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=907239997 The story was OK and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disappointingly, after checking the store page fairly thoroughly for indications of this problem the game seems to have strong hidden object elements. I'm a fan of the point and click adventure genre, but hidden object game simply don't do it for me with their simplistic and frustrating gameplay, and after maybe ten minutes of play on this game we hit exactly that. We just wouldn't have purchased it if it had been correctly described in the store. I know some people love this kind of game, but…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the sale price of $2-$4 it is a short but decent HOG. For those who like the HOG genre, this game is much more of a pure puzzle game than it was about hidden objects. In fact the only hidden objects are the kind where you have to find sets of pieces that go together to form items to help you find other set items on the same screen. Most of the puzzles were easy, but some did take a little bit of time. Nothing super innovative but not bad either. All in all, the story was actually OK and the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →From start to end, in the expert mode with no hints, this game will take you on a three hour jaunt through a simple story with lovable graphics. The puzzles should keep you entertained, and a few are downright nasty (the last one in particular). The one thing I want to point out, and explain why I'm rating this as "no, don't buy" is the fact that you need to like the author of the game on Facebook, in order to get 100% completion on Steam. I already paid for your game, and this is a crap…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The puzzles were pretty simple for the most part but that story was neat despite being so short. The art style is nice and it wasn't a terrible game, but maybe pick it up on sale because i'm not kidding when I say it's super short!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one I brought as part of a bundle, not really in hidden object games but thankfully there ended up only being about 5 HO scenes in the whole game. The rest of the game is more like a FP adventure game. The art and the story I liked and the voice acting in surprisingly decent.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My playtime: 1.5h (based on steam, 100% achievement) Grindy Achievement(s): No. Optional Achievement(s): Yes (12 achievements). Difficult Achievement(s): No. Intro Inbetween Land is a short point-and-click game with some hidden object mechanics. Pros: - No need for backtracking - Puzzles - You can choose to show or hide interactable objects - Hint and skip puzzle options Cons: - Some puzzles are similar to IQ tests and might be difficult for some people - The cutscene at the beginning…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short version: 77% Inbetween Land may not look much, but its dated exterior and Verne-like aesthetics hide an incredibly short but surprisingly engaging fragmented object game. Long version: On the store page, Inbetween Land looks like just another cheap casual game. But if you decide to pick it up, you’ll learn the reason behind the current high ratings, because this game has an incredibly gripping atmosphere. The source of this atmosphere is mostly the visuals. The majority of the game…

Gameplay / Story One night, out of nowhere, an enigmatic apparition appears over your hometown: a floating island on which a long-forgotten alien civilization existed many years ago. But the silence is deceptive! After a nightmare, your best friend disappears without a trace in the ruins of the floating island - and only you can find her before something terrible happens to her…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a very enjoyable adventure game. As with most HOGS, it was mostly a point-and-click adventure, but there were many and varied puzzles in it. Anyone who has played "The Room 3" (or similar games) will enjoy it very much. There was decent voice acting, the graphics were enjoyable and served the puzzles well, and there were no glitches or problems. I was able to achieve all 27 achievements in about 3 hours. Two thumbs up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short and pleasant casual point-and-click adventure. It has a handful of hidden-object scenes and mini-game puzzles, all of them very easy. The background story is OK, but the script is awful. It's amusing to hear the voice actors do their very best not to sound like complete morons. I'm very annoyed that one of the achievements is "Like us on Facebook." Seriously, guys? That's all kinds of pathetic.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Inbetween Land is an interesting game, with some hidden object-esque puzzles in it. It is however a bit on the short side; after 1 hour 40m you will be able to finish it. Well worth getting when on sale, but imho not worth the current price of 10 euros
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really debated on recommending or not. But ultimately decided not based solely on how short and easy it is. Its a beautiful game. But its super fast. I played through it TWICE in the 2.7 hours I have played. I got it on sale and so it was worth it for that but I wouldn't pay full price for it. Also its 4x3 so is a box with pretty edging and thats kind of annoying. Also one of the achievements is to like them on social media and you can't get the achievement for everything unless you do…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Your sister Mary needs your help! She disappeared and everything is pointing to the floating island that appeared years ago. And you were right! You found her inconscious. However, her spirit is talking to you: you need to find crystals to help the inhabitants that were forced to become spirits in order to survive... Inbetween Land has a simple plot. Don't expect any enemy, there is none. There is no twist, to dark side, nothing that could make the plot a little more interesting. But it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review + Giveaway x10 NOTES: game keys provided by Specialbit and Bobmanbob. I try to only review games I think I'll enjoy. Inbetween Land is a very relaxing, simple and pleasant game. I would describe it as a light point 'n' click adventure with some hidden object scenes. The fantasy-themed story concerns the protagonist searching for her missing friend on an island in the sky. Gameplay here is a mixture of light exploration, puzzles of various types (some of which are quite tricky!), a few…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game some puzzles were kinda tricky and challenging. It was fun and held my attention from start to finish
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An excellent surprise, the puzzles are good, tough even for the last one, the HOG scenes are meaningful (you don't need to find the pink carrot to be able to keep only that bell you saw on the back among 50 garbage items) and it's quite pretty. 100% recommend playing it and spending 10mn on the last puzzle.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a puzzle game, not a HOG. There's no HO in this. Still, a 70/100 effort. The good Challenging puzzles Great sense of progression Well-drawn graphics Thumping music (at times) The bad Far out story Arguably too many puzzles Minimal replay value
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was a fun-sized snack of a game. Buy it on sale, and expect a simplistic plot and simple but pretty puzzles. 7/10 NOTE: I'm deducting a full point, because they made two Achievements require liking the game on Facebook (1 for liking, 1 for getting all other Achievements). Noone and nothing gets that from me - I loathe Facebook's Like system.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played and completed the game twice on expert mode without skipping a mini-puzzle or using a single hint on either playthrough, yet I did not get the final achievement, i.e., "Perfect Game" - Complete the whole game without using a hint. I thought perhaps I may have accidentally hit the hint button on the first playthrough, but I know without a doubt that I did not unintentionally hit the hint button on the 2nd playthrough, and I never saw a "hint" come up in either playthrough. I'm a bit…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun , challenging and intriguing older game; I'd played this years ago . I really enjoyed the puzzles and only skipped one or two. Beautiful graphics but I couldn't take pics , not sure why.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an old game but still worthwhile playing. It's got FROGs and lots of rather interesting puzzles. (Would have been nice to be able to access those separately in extras.)The artwork isn't that great but pleasant enough, and the puzzles more than make up for lack of beauty. Since it's old trading cards are cheap. Good opportunity for badges.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a game that grew on me as I played. At first, I disliked it, but came to appreciate the effort put into it. The graphics are dated, but would have been quite advanced years ago. Storyline is weak. Music ok. The theme is steampunk which is quite unique. It was the variety of puzzles that really stretched my brain. I only skipped one, but had to look up a couple online as the instructions weren't clear. There were few HO scenes which were fragmented and interactive. You have a…

The Game Review Game Visuals I want to mention that the visuals in the game are well done. The visuals can be adjusted in the game's option menu. Game Audio I want to mention that audio for the game is well done. Even though the audio is somewhat simplistic and repetitive. The audio can be adjusted in the game's option menu as well. Gameplay There are three…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hummm. What to say about this game? I'm glad I got it super cheap? Don't let my play time for this game fool you - I forgot to pause and ended up leaving the game running for ages. It is in fact a really short game. I would say it is more of a puzzle story than a hidden object game. The story is a bit bland. I'll give it a solid meh and throw in an apethetic shrug.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Inbetween Land is a weird, but a definitely good hidden object adventure game with a strong emphasis on puzzles, taking place on a floating island above a nameless city and set in an alternative sci-fi world. On second thought I'd rather call it a puzzle game, because it focuses on these and contains only a fair number of hidden object scenes, still it bears all the marks of the genre. Mary, a friend of ours contacts us in our dream asking for help. There's a mysterious floating island above…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm recommending this game to anyone who: 1) Understands that it's SHORT (it took me 2 hours). 2) Likes adventure games or hidden object games. 3) Wants a casual game with a decent story. 4) Gets it on sale. 5) Likes puzzles, but doesn't need them to be super difficult. I'm NOT recommending it for anyone who: 1) Expects a lot of playtime for their money. 2) Wants something fast paced. 3) Needs hardcore puzzles. That being said, Inbetween Land is not your typical hidden object game (as some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →LIttle kids can help! Great atmosphere and voice acting. I'm really enjoying this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fine little hidden object game. Everything is in balance, beautiful graphics, no too complicated or illogical puzzles. Unlike some other games this one keeps you focused. You always know where to go and what to do. There are some minor glitches in the interface, but nothing catastrophic. Well done.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An ok-ish hidden object game. It is not bad, but also it is nothing to write home about. Works fine on Linux with Proton (6.3-6)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When you are pure of heart... You can save many people and a whole island! This game doesn't do the "do three million backtracks"... It shows you where you can click on things... You usually stick close to one area to resolve the issues... Sorry, "putting things into other things". There. The story is understandable and actually better than some other H.O.G.s I played, so don't be surprised. I did this game faster than I thought and was really proud because... It made me feel good! So…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Inbetween Land is a point-and-click, hidden object adventure game, and seemingly one of Specialbit's earlier games. The artstyle of this game looks older and not as "fresh" compared to Stormhill Mystery and The Last Dream. However, I quite like it! It plays the same as the other 2 games, finding objects, combining fragmented ones, puzzles, etc to progress. We play as an unnamed woman looking for her friend Mary, who's obsessed with a mysterious floating island above the city and one day…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a kind of adventure game with puzzzles, minigames and some HOG. It is easy but consistent fantastical tale. Nothing special but it is working. You can see from game mechanics and graphics that it is older type of game but it does not feel to be bad. Graphics is a little flat and screens does not have so much contrast and colours are a little gray but items can be found quite well. In HOS you collect pieces of objects that you must put in the picture to the correct place to get the final…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While Inbetween Land has only been available on Steam since 2015, I believe it was actually first released in 2012 and to be honest it actually feels somewhat older than that. It's far from pretty, has some fairly bad hit detection, especially noticeable when playing a hidden object scene and is rather short. The Good. - Has voice acting. - Has a decent story, even if it is a little cheesy. - Interesting twist on hidden object scenes that involve finding object parts to make items which are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but satisfying, it certainly didn't overstay its welcome. It's about 2 hours of gameplay, there's very little plot development and most of the story is explained right at the beginning and then concluded after gathering all crystals. Although it has Hidden Object as a tag, it's not the focal point of the game. Definitely more puzzle-oriented, given all of the achievements are for the puzzles only. I don't have anything else to say about it, I pretty much kept a blank face while playing.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Uhm... So I do all the work and coma-girl gets all the credit? Seriously? ...honestly though, I'm not surprised. Even when we were kids back at the orphanage, Mary always had to be the center of attention. And she hasn't really changed that much as an adult. Talk about self absorbed. And completely nuts! How many guys had to learn that the hard way. Way too many to count (serious Daddy issues). Anyone that really knows her at all mostly feels sorry for her. It's always just a matter of time…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really short (2hrs). The story was lame, and the puzzles were way too easy. Everything you can interact with had a button on it. I ended up skipping two of the puzzles out of boredom. Not recommended.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The minigames, location design, and perfunctory but unobtrusive story are actually pleasingly above average for this publishing category. Unfortunately it is also an extremely short (~3 hours) game, even without skipping anything or abusing hints. This is despite the fact that it doesn't deviate from the lamentable formula endemic to this now tragically misnamed genre: a mishmash of unoriginal and ultimately optional "challenges" featuring mostly anything but hidden objects, standing as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fairly basic puzzle game. Nothing groundbraking. Puzzles are mostly very easy except for a few sliding puzzles which you either love or hate. Story feels rushed. The main character comes to immediate conclusions about certain things without reasoning. Almost as if the story was an after-thought or the devs didn't want us to use too many braincells. Graphics are fine. Puzzles, while simple, are enjoyable and the hidden object parts are done well. Not too much pixel hunting. Can be 100%…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thumbs up. I was almost able to complete it without a walkthrough and I was able to get all the achievements. I was disappointed that there was no map with the ability to instantly travel between rooms. However, the game has a different feature which is impressive in its own right. In this game, there is the ability to reveal all hotspots on the screen. This indicates all usable items and all exit arrows. Being able to avoid the frustration of “find the hotspot” is definitely worth a thumbs up.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →decent game. kinda old and puzzles are boring.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good hidden object game, fairly easy 100% which can take less than 2 hours to complete.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but sweet, worth a couple of dollars but not the full asking price IMO. Voice acting is OK, script is cheesy. The game doesn't have the common type hidden object scenes which is a shame, the game would have been longer with some added in. But there are some like the 5th screen shot where you have to find parts of a handful of objects which can be used to find more objects once they have been assembled. A fairly easy point'n'click adventure IMO, the only time I got stuck was on the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tough puzzles, no map to show you what to do next or to help you quick travel, more linear than most. On the upside, the art is pretty, and if you're looking for some *different* (and mostly more challenging) puzzles from some of the current HOGs, then you've probably got some here. Also, if you like a sci-fi of yesteryear look and feel, this game is probably for you. I didn't love it, but this is an early game in the series (even if 2015 isn't all that old). A "mostly positive" review is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, not bad but quite easy. Story is simple and the ending is cute, puzzles are okay but due that today my brain was super distracted, I get frustated with 3 puzzles. Easy come, easy go. Achievements can be done in one game (don’t skip any puzzle). Perfectly playable with the steam deck.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended. I enjoyed this one, but it was lacking in a few areas. The graphics are nice, the puzzles are well done and you feel a sense of progression as you collect each of the required items to finish the game. It is a bit bare bones on the story, descriptions of areas and character interaction. Also, navigation is a bit different than most HOGs (no map), but there is very little backtracking which is a good thing. It's pretty short, but also fairly cheap. If you prefer a puzzle focused…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but sweet. The plot is almost non-existent, but the puzzles and setting are unique and enjoyable. Some were even quite challenging, and I got a special thrill when I managed to solve them. ^-^
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game was much shorter than expected, but the art was good. luckily i got this game on sale for less than $2.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →simple and short and satisfying classic hog
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a surprisingly good casual adventure game! The game is obviously much older than 2015 and the visuals look dated, but the game is smooth and balanced, the hidden object scenes are very creative and most importantly it has a lot of new minigames that I haven't seen in this kind of games before. This is quite unusual, usually minigames are recycled over and over again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the game, and I like this developer's games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very short game with little to no re-play value (especially if you get all the puzzles on your first run) Interesting and pretty, even if kinda dated photo-bashed and digitally painted graphics. Great way to spend an evening with some light puzzles. You (almost) never return to an area, so you won't spend much time backtracking and getting lost looking through your options. The story is simple and straightforward. While I wish there was more information about the world the floating island…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game . But quite short. The design of the people is quite blurry in the end and you have the feeling that you are a second violin. It is better with a discount.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I rate this a middle of the ground on the "Mountain Crime: Requital" scale. The graphics are so-so. Nice 3D and 2D, but the combination clashes a little bit when put together. The puzzles were alright, with a few highlights and a few that nearly put me to sleep. The story is very straight forward with no twists and overall an okay Hidden Object game that's worth a short check if you can get it on a sale. Surprisingly, there are no bonus games. Oh well.
