And then I researched three weapons in the tech tree and the whole weapon tech tree disappears all of it. On normal this game is Super! Aggressive!! And still this little gem is better than many new games on the market, well worth the money. The thing that makes this so damn good (and I wish others would take a note from this particular little book) is not only tactical space combat, but ground combat as well. Some stuff like the UI and graphics are a bit dated, but still pretty dang good and functional.

Incredibly frustrating, I just wanted to enjoy a classic rts but I physically cannot play the game. Very annoying valve allows this sort of stuff on their platform.

Music is awesome. Also the primary game with the Shinari and Solarians and Krahen are all very fun. I play the game on normal because Hard mode is just too crazy for me. I'm probably just not smart enough for hard mode but I'm ok with that.

SOL terran x Traders x Kra'hen .... -> When u play Kra'hen, you get sooner all stars global map all ennemy fleets detected at begin.... (they r aliens....) But the solar campaign is maybe better. but you got to fast upgrade HYPERDRIVE to max level for your fleet so you can intercept Aliens/strange activity... if you loved K240 on AMIGA ? u'll love it. ;p

Of Course, in multi player mode this is not possible, only against the computer. It's basically a Galactic Chess game. Love it.

If you plan on only playing single player, outside of being old graphics, its a good game. The deves were trying to build something beyond the technical capabilities of that time. Kudos for that. I know we have plenty of complex space civilization games now, but I couldnt focus on them for long, just too complicated for my test. I couldnt finish this when I was in high school, when this came out. In a sense this 20 year old game gave me back a piece of my childhood :)

However, there are a few bugs with the game and after a while the AI can become a little predictable. I really wish that there was on-going development to fix bugs and add new features.
