positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’d probably go with a mixed review if I could. This game is the second in the series for House of 1000 Doors and it’s not that much different from the first one. It’s not terrible for a hidden object game, but there is some pixel-hunting. I thought that the story ended rather abruptly, but I'll go with a thumbs up because the map lets you instantly travel between locations and a walkthrough is included. I was disappointed with one of the sliding puzzles in the bonus chapter where the blocks…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoying this House of 1000 Doors Series. Only downside, no quests for Achievement Hunters. Has a strategy guide for clue reference, tho seeing as there are no Achievements, there is no loss or incentive with using or avoiding the Hint button. I used it a few times, because I wasnt going to miss an Achievement, it was way quicker than looking up the strategy guide and only hinted the direction to look towards. Cut scenes and story line lovely as always. Would advise to play from the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some of the objects absolutely required the use of hints as they were literally hidden behind other objects and that was frustrating, but overall my family and i spent the night playing this game together and it was really enjoyable. Not the most amazing hidden object/puzzle game i have ever played, but well worth what i spent on it.

The locations are wonderfully detailed, and the supernatural atmosphere makes exploration a real pleasure. Highly recommended and one of the best we have played.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A couple of years ago I played House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets (2011) through discord with a couple of friends and LOVED it. Since I just beat a game, I have decided to dive into House of 1000 Doors: The Palm of Zoroaster, and just booting it up has put a smile on my face.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright! Second game to continue the interesting story of the House and its residents and all the unique ghosties in need of help. Once more the House calls upon you to help, as a new evil emerged. You gotta go and take care of it, as you get to travel to new locations and find items that aid you in your quest. The graphics/sounds/designs/effects/everything (including cut scenes) are just great for this game. If you liked the first one, you will enjoy the continuation. At least I did... I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In this video I take a look at House of 1000 Doors: The Palm of Zoroaster, an HOG puzzle game from Alawar. The House of 1000 Doors is back but this time it has a problem, so Kate has been summoned to help. This title is from 2012 and has just been released to Steam. Like most of the titles in this range it easily stands alongside anything new. The quality of the art is the foremost feature but as you play you'll find the puzzles, especially it's HOG's (hidden object games) are just as good.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this game as a kid like a decade ago. So many memories, damn… At least now I can finally comprehend what’s happening in the plot lol. The puzzles get easier after a while (once you get the pattern), but the overall atmosphere, music, visuals, and the mystery surrounding it - that’s what made me love this game, and what still makes me come back to it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great sequel. It looks the same as the first part from the style but this is gret due to its great style. The story is nice and the graphics nice as well. The minigames are not too hard and not too easy and the whole game is really fun to play. Just be careful not buy the game double due to its beeing in a bundle as well. All in one i can really highly recommend it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is stuck after 50 minutes of playing
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The House of 1000 Doors is the TOP HOG/point and click series! I've played this one, and the others in the series, several times over the years and it doesn't get old. My only wish is that there were more HOGS that take it to the same level.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it was a fun point and click game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good older Hidden Object Game. There is a bit of running around. That doesn't bother me. It has a fast travel map. I thought I'd mention it, because some people don't like a lot of running around. Lots of hidden object scenes, which were pretty basic. (All were the type where there is a list of words.) I love those scenes, so that's a big plus for me. It didn't seem to have as many mini-puzzles as some games, but they weren't just the same old tired games that you often see in the newer…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game with interesting puzzles and HOGS. Very very long game too. Five BN are definitely the best developers.

unlabelledView post →While similar to the 1st game, it is also quite different in its own way. The puzzles are mostly simple (though I did skip a few after bashing at them for a while), with HOG scenes and relaxing music. The story is linear and not too complex, with a few familiar faces. The bonus chapter was good too, though I felt it ended rather abruptly and didn't add much to the story, it was enjoyable. ^-^
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great HO game, good number of HO scenes balanced with other puzzles
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This next installment in the House of 1000 Doors series is great. The puzzles remain challenging, though some are still fairly easy, and the ambiance stays eerie but not too scary. I had hoped for more ghosts, much like the last entry, but sadly that was not the case. However, I would still recommend this game for fans of hidden object series as it is a very good time to be had.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play level was just right. Everything worked just fine on Windows 11. Would recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well done graphics and story that keeps your interest. Music was well done and voice overs were ok but wooden. The puzzles were fairly easy. The map is interactive making traveling around much easier. Highly recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →House of 1000 Doors, play the series on steam, now. Maybe start with Family Secrets (Hidden object game, I used to play Family Secrets as a kid)
unlabelledView post →I like this game. Gameplay was smooth and the story made sense from start to end. Overall, playing this game was an enjoyable experience. Pros: + Map + Hint system + Graphics + Characters
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this as part of a bundle and it was overall pretty fun and engaging and interesting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another great hidden object game similar to Family Secrets. Although the music track is about the same as the other game, it's nice and pleasant despite being repetitive. The game-play is also enjoyable and it's nice that tough puzzles can be skipped. I especially liked the story of the extra game (after completing the main). Highly recommended!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cool game. its shorter than the first one (Family Secrets) but its still pretty enjoyable and has some really cool concepts. Its story features some really beautiful art and music. This game was a pretty nice sequel to the first and plays about the same in terms of hidden object mini-game frequencies, puzzles, and challenges, though the story line is different and interesting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's alright. I'm thumbing it down only because a 96% user score is too generous for this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AMAZING game, I love that it actually has a story line with cut scenes, WELL WRITTEN ONES TOO?? I recommend this to anyone who used to play these when they were younger and loved the ones with deep and interesting story lines. Also recommend to Nancy Drew game players because it gives me the same vibes/feel :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like it when a hidden object adventure game series takes its initial concept and builds upon it. I forgot to write a review for this second game in the series before I completed the third, so I know how wild this franchise will get. But The Palm of Zoroaster expands our heroine, Kate's, horizons. Now she has to save the world from a fiery death by finding hundreds of random objects in cluttered scenes. I love it! There's a puzzle in the game that absolutely infuriated me. It's a puzzle…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is SO GOOD! I played this game a lot with my grandmother when I was younger, so it is very nostalgic to me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →love this set of games created
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoy hidden object games then House of 1000 doors are a great challenge I have all four of them and have enjoyed each game just as much as the other.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good HOG (Hidden Object Game) with some great graphics, good background music, good story line, and great game play. Positives: Lots of locations to explore. Lots of hidden object mini games. Game play offers hints, a strategy guide, and a location status map. Bonus section follows completion of the main game. The game is somewhat anti-climatic at the conclusion, but still enjoyable to play. Negatives: Game appears to only support 4:3 ratio resolution. Installed this game on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of my most liked mini puzzle & adventure games. I definitely recommend it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Top of the rung on the "Mountain Crime: Requital" scale!! Enjoyed this game, although the spacing between the hidden objects mini-games were a bit too close for me (not enough padding between to change it up a little). Still, it was a fun time, and it was nice to finally meet Gabriel and save him. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly recommended for HOG fans. This is part two of the four part series. I really felt like this had a great flow and was very polished. The graphics and audio are great and the voice acting and cinematics are decent for the time they were made, but slightly dated by today's standards. The puzzles, HOG scenes and the locations had a nice variety. The story is more put together this time, with a connection between each chapter feeling more cohesive. I don't have much to mark this one down for…
