positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It´s really fun to play =) I like the story and love the art style. All puzzles are good to solve and I didn´t have to use any hints. If you like oldschool point and click adventure, then this is for you ^^ Es macht wirklich Spaß =) Die Story ist gut und der Stil gefällt mir sehr. Alle Rätsel sind gut lösbar und ich brauchte keine Tipps, um weiterzukommen. Wenn ihr auf Wimmelbilder steht, kann ich es euch nur empfehlen^^
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still quite good HOG even though it is a little dated with release date 2012. Interesting long story, easy puzzles, still quite good graphics on a higher level. It is easy to uderstand how to follow the story. The game is older but originally made very well on a higher level. Items are easy but they are sometimes smaller or hidden in dark parts of the screen. Colours are grey. I know it is spooky story but colours of HOS are not balanced. It is typical for older games. My recomendation is yes.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I WONDER HOW MANY SKELETONS ARE IN THE CLOSETS OF A HAUNTED HOUSE WITH 1000 DOORS? Psst: Can you keep a Secret?? Kate Reed is an author of supernatural fiction, but lately, she has been struggling to find inspiration. Little did she know that was all about to change! A seemingly inconspicuous package arrives at Kate's doorstep. Inside the package is an old but ordinary typewriter...ordinary, that is, until it begins to type out an invitation to attend a ghostly séance at the School of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game if you enjoyed highlights as a kid then you would enjoy the hidden object searches you do in this game. The puzzles are not too hard either and if you get stumped you can click on the pass button and it finishes it for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great for people who enjoy the point and click adventures with puzzles. It almost makes you wish you could have more than just the point and click with the ability to find more. It isn’t scary, despite a being a ghost game. It does have one jump scare but given the storyline, it is almost an expected scare. The only part that may be mildly annoying is the adventures are not always in the same room and it takes some wandering about. However, it does add to the adventure and it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too many items spread out to much into a map that is too big, making this a tedious click-through-screens simulator. Also, in certain situations the help function keeps suggesting things that are not helpful or working yet, prooving even the game itself cannot handle its many items always right.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets is a really enjoyable Hidden Object Adventure with a spooky atmosphere and nice visuals. The story lost me a bit but was still interesting. The puzzles are fun without being too frustrating, and the haunted mansion setting gives it a lot of charm. Recommended if you enjoy Hidden Object mystery games with a supernatural vibe.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A couple of years ago I played House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets (2011) through discord with a couple of friends and LOVED it. Since I just beat a game, I have decided to dive into House of 1000 Doors: The Palm of Zoroaster, and just booting it up has put a smile on my face.
unlabelledView post →Intriguing storyline and captivating artwork. Everything is very nostalgoic and brings me back to my childhood. I loved exploring the mysterious mansion and meeting its eccentric residents, each with unique powers and dark histories. The ghostly backstories can be shocking—one ghost even used a loved one’s skull for her sculpture—giving the game a nice eerie edge. Although I had to use a hint a few times, the puzzles never felt too hard, and I found the experience overall to be smooth and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They don't make them this well anymore. This game, even though old, is worth full price. If discounted, just a must grab. Seriously, most of the games nowadays half-arse animations and stuff. This one has such and incredible detail that even lacking the higher resolutions, even the "low" standard 1920x1080, still looks better than most others. Puzzles and item hunt in the main chapter are pretty well done, and even backtracking is not annoying because of the way it's obscured and the "central…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →YES! This is a VERY FUN Puzzle/Hidden Object game! There wasn't a single boring moment! The graphics and the sounds and the music and the visuals all combine together to engross you in the story and to enjoy the game play! Everything is so well designed/drawn and it allows you to play two modes: Casual or Expert. There are also super well hidden items too, for a bonus fun! You get to follow a character and uncover the supernatural mysteries and feel good about yourself for solving those…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’d probably go with a mixed review if I could. It’s not terrible for a hidden object game, but there is some pixel-hunting. I'll go with a thumbs up because the map lets you instantly travel between locations and a walkthrough is included. This game is the first in the series for House of 1000 Doors. It was originally released in 2011, but it seems to run okay under Windows 10. This version is the collector’s edition with a bonus chapter. However, there are no Steam achievements or trading…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Won a key to this in a giveaway. It was pretty ok. I enjoyed the point-and-click puzzles as well as the art. The story was above average I would say. All the story lines were engaging except one. Would have liked the mysteries to be harder to solve (though I can't tell if they were really meant to be true mysteries). Had a laugh at some of the voice acting being off. Despite this moderate review, I still don't suggest the game, I feel like there's much better things you can get for the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is very poorly done. Mini-games for item search can be searched twice and even thrice as if the main hero is so stupid that cannot take needed items from the first time, And I also had to quit the game at the very last scene because the hexagonal detail was simply unclickable and no way to fix it. So wery well done, wish you do not specialise in that kind of game never ever.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In this video I take a look at House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets,* another tale in the House of 1000 Doors range from Alawar. As we come to expect from Alawar this is another quality title despite being an older re-release and the house of 1000 doors once again offers us a nice range of puzzles and HOG's within it's walls (mostly). The art work is always great in these games and the price is very accessible making this the perfect game for any casual game fan. It easily holds it's own to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked this game in my childhood and i still do. Good puzzles, atmosphere and i like that hint system shows you where you need to go. You should try it during sales.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pure nostalgia, enjoyed every second of it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cozy game, good puzzles
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played a lot of HOG games and this one is one of the best. The music is wonderful, and it makes the whole game so relaxed. I never felt rushed to complete an HOG scene or minigame, and only rarely used the hint button. The ghost stories were all compelling, and I found the gameplay and puzzles to be straightforward and not so cryptic as to become frustrating. Your inventory most often reflects items you need for immediate puzzles, and not a bunch of random objects you have no use…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For point and click game lovers this is top notch. Enjoyed every minute playing this one!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good game for the genre. Unlike many of the newer games, the mini-games weren't all just cookie cutter, though I don't recall any of them being extremely clever. It has the standard play mechanisms and format. It's an older game, but it does have an interactive map. One annoyance is the zoom-in windows remain active even after you're exhausted all possible actions in it. It didn't annoy me too much, but a little.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No one can say they're not getting their money's worth. The main game is long and chock full of scenes, interactive objects, puzzles and HOPs/HOGs. My complaint is that they're are too many clustered together towards the middle of the game. They're the classic type as this is an early game, but they're still not bad for several reasons. While the objects aren't huge, the graphics are excellent. They don't punish you for over-clicking. There are no foreign unknown objects. Other minor…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the more challenging HOAGs I've played. The puzzles and hidden object scenes are casual as usual, but the challenge comes from how large the regions of play are. The titular house is the central hub, and you gain access to more of it as the game goes along. Then, there are several inner worlds. It's important to have a good memory so you can go back and forth as you get objects that can help you progress. There's a massive amount of backtracking to be done, and unfortunately…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good game, but one very annoying thing that's almost a dealbreaker is that when you finish with an item that you won't need to do anything with anymore, the item stays highlighted. In other words, it is still clickable making you constantly second guess yourself and waste time clicking on it every time you enter a room. That doesn't make the game more difficult. It makes it more time consuming and boring. Really hope they fixed this in subsequent games. But the story was very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended if you don't mind a slightly dated, but well made HOG. I enjoyed my experience with this game. Its the first of the series of four and has some good things going for it. The overall presentation is decent with an interesting paranormal story and smooth casual gameplay. The bonus chapter was a nice addition too. As for downsides, the graphics, animations and cut scenes aren't bad, but they are starting to age a bit. There is a bit of backtracking too, but the fast travel map helps…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SOO fun and entertaining, the puzzles can be a little hard, but such an amazing game and time spender.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My favorite point and click game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I first played this back in 2015, but I never finished it. I recently came back and finally finished the game I never got around to. I found the story pretty interesting, and I still really love the aesthetic even after all these years!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A 3 star game that would be 5 stars if it had a map.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this entire series is by far the best, coming from the visuals to the overall story, this is a simple and easy point and click game that took me any my family aback and we all love it, I went and bought all of the games from this series and played through all of them completing the entire series but i really wish there were more games from this series, it really brings back many memories.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Locke & Key 9.9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don’t know if it’s because I recently played some of the excellent, older Mystery Case Files games, but… my urge here was to walk out through one of those thousand doors and never look back. That said, the game isn’t bad — as long as you buy it on sale and keep your expectations firmly set on “average.” It’s a perfectly serviceable, middle-of-the-road HOPA, but nothing more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →played it years ago, i bought the 4 games and i just love these
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very lame of a game maybe only 50 doors there isnt 1000 doors not worth the money
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FINALLY CLOSURE! I remembered playing this game a very long time ago but never knew the name. Spent hours today trying to find it and it was worth the hunt. Fairly short but it was a fun mystery.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the idea is good, the game is a bit buggy in making you wait before every click. The story is okay, but could have been better. Some puzzles feel random in difficulty. There are many better Hidden Object games for the same price.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really good game i grew up playing it and still love it to this day!!!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →35. House of 1000 Doors: The Palm of Zoroaster Collector's Edition I... have no idea what this game is. Not only is it no longer available on Steam, but it's so unavailable that it doesn't even have a store page any more.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I grew up on this game, I loveeee this game so much
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just another amazing game in this bundle of mystery games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good old House of 1000 Doors. The graphics are a little dated now, but still solid(It's mostly the cutscenes, CG just does not age well...) I enjoy this one and the second game (The Palm of Zororaster) but after that.. The third one is ok. Let's not talk about any of the others. If you like Hidden Object games, this is good. It's more adventure point and click. Beware, hot spots don't glow, but the cursor changes to a manifying glass for close ups. Also, it's a good thing to click on things,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little casual game. Sometimes it is worthwhile to use hilts or the in game guide book.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As with Zoroaster, lots of great atmospheric locations and some solid re-playable content
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Always been a fan of the House of 1000 Doors games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed this game very much. It took me around 10 hours to complete, which I found reasonable, and the puzzles/hidden object scenes varied in difficulty throughout the game. The cutscenes/voice acting can be a little cheesy in places, but I think that adds to the charm. The only negatives that I have against this game is the vagueness of a few items in the hidden object scenes and minor performance stuttering in some areas. All in all, I highly recommend this installment of the House of 1000…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a nice puzzle game with a pretty good story line. I first played this game in middle school and downloaded it again because I remembered how much I enjoyed it. The plot line is a bit dark/horrorish so if you're looking at having a kid play I'd just be careful about their maturity (and if they get nightmares easily). Overall I think it is a great game. My play through this time took about 4 hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →amazing game if you are bored
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The puzzles are interesting. I enjoy the find it puzzles, but I like all the puzzles. It has a fun story as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →House of 1000 Doors, play the series on steam, now. Maybe start with Family Secrets (Hidden object game, I used to play Family Secrets as a kid)
unlabelledView post →beautifuly made game with a attention grabbing story
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a game i love from when i was a child and still love now and plan on playing the rest in the series soon
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is sort of a 'meh' review. Like, there's not really anything great here, but there's nothing really bad either. It's fine. It's a lot like every other hidden object game I've ever played. Though with this one, I found the hitboxes to be really precise and finicky, lots of repeated items in HO scene, and the cursor felt floaty. It definitely had it annoying moments. But the voice acting wasn't bad, and any other complaints could apply to any other HO game. Will scratch that itch, but not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun if you like hidden object and puzzle games. Much better than similar titles. The hidden objects are usually clear and the hint system works quickly if you cant find that last one. The puzzles are also logical which is a nice bonus when you consider all the similar games that have insane or weird or nonsense puzzles. There is also an ingame walkthru if you need it. The thousand doors series is better than most, and I recommend each of them.
