This appears to have all of the softcore roguelike features ie; Permadeath, Upgradable Town (Improved weapons/armor, enhanced starting levels/gold for new toons, enhanced resource gain etc), and merchants to purchase new gear. Resources are gained each time a stage is cleared, allowing you to make upgrades to your town. There are currently two classes. One a Dwarf warrior, and the second a tribal female Shamman. They play as you'd expect, standard melee and caster…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First thing first, it's a early access.. It's nowhere near "diablo" or "torchlight". I'm sorry to say but this game gets old way to early. There is absolute no replay value. When you build and upg all your buidlings, which takes 3-4 hours of gameplay, you are done. There is no loot, only the items you can buy at the two stores, weapons and armor. which means you allways grind each round for the same two items (the best sword\axe\staff and the best armor) It's monotony at best. which says…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Roguelike Diablo crossed with FTL with a town mechanic that assures that some of your hard work persists after characters die. This is a very cool game with a unique art style and a novel combination of tried and true game mechanics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At a first glance, the game felt like a mediocre Diablo-clone. After playing for a bit longer, I saw where it justified marking itself a roguelike (in the town-building aspect), and the non-combat missions were reminiscent of games like The Yawhg. Despite being similar to a lot of good games, I felt like it just missed the mark a bit - after a very short time of playing, the game was already starting to feel stale. The battles were all very similar, the non-combat encounters were fairly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First thing that went through my mind when I’ve launched the game was that it looks like one of those crappy mobile games ports. Even though this game has many flaws, it is a fun game that I enjoy. ======OVERVIEW====== Firstly, the UI. It doesn’t look that promising and the font is awful. Although it fits the art style, it definitely needs some improvements. Talking about the art style, it’s decent, nothing extra but good enough. Thankfully, it doesn't affect gameplay in a negative way. Not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can't put words like Diablo or Torchlight in the description because they have NOTHING to do with This. First time I clicked PLAY it crashed, after a reboot it's ok. (When do you need to restart PC these days!) The hero movement is terrible, you can only walk in 8 directions instead of 360 degrees (remember Diablo 1) it's 2016! Some skills go in the direction your character is facing instead of where your mouse is pointing. Sounds are rediculous and cartoonish. Some will like it I guess...…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of potention. Really like the art direction. Excited to see what comes next!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the idea of it but actual gameplay is quite stiff, the UI is pretty hard to read, and it feels like a mobile port even though I'm not aware of there being any mobile version of it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wilk reviews… Herolike Not so hero-like The first time I launched the game, it crashed instantly. After getting it to play, the game was just, OK. It’s not good. It’s not bad. That’s all you need to know. It gets boring and very repetitive very fast, and I’ve only played with two characters and for a bit over an hour. The boss fight is just, laughable! You only get hit in the animation, but not the hitbox, as his hitbox does not include his sword or whatever other weapon he may be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd give it a neutral if I could. A rather bare bones Unity "Action rpg" where you go through 50 scenarios, which contain combat in small contained areas (always the exact same areas) or "friendly" encounters where you make a choice based on a short piece of dialogue and based on that choice you make progress towards a "title", which is a fancy name for a buff your character gets. To keep it short: very repetitive, clunky and sluggish combat, no chance to continue playing with the character you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun ARPG with some base building/roguelike features. There are four classes in game and each has four special attack/defense skills to invest in besides the standard stats. You choose random encounters across a "world map" and up grade your town with materials earned from each encounter. Most of the game feels stable, only had 2 crashes in all my time played. However, on occasion some maps will load with no encounters spawning on them, forcing you to exit back to the load screen. Would…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lets just get this out of the way first. This is not a rouge like. It is a rouge light or rouge like like, depending on what you prefer to call that genre. The progression system in the game is generally speaking good but it does have a major problem. The resources needed to upgrade the structures in town are initially only given out by the keep once you have successfully completed an encounter so you’d presume that it would be a good idea to upgrade the keep as soon as possible to get more…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Rogue-like Action RPG https://youtu.be/Q_EvtWviH6E + The combat works well, controls very easy to learn + A unique persistant "town-building" area that gives you various perks and gear to help you on further playthroughs (carries over to your next character) + A good variety of enemies + You can assign your own stat points and skill points to personalize your class as you level This game is in Early Access so don't take these too seriously - The "Friendly" missions (or the dialogue driven…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very good game with nice graphics and interesting gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No, just no. If you are thinking about getting this game, don't do it to yourself. I thought this would be a nice little game for when you have a few minutes to spare and was aware of some of the problems. But this game is much more buggy than I thought to the point that you can't really play it. - When you start the game it only ever opened on my second (much smaller) screen and I was not able to change that in the settings. - The maps are small and you only ever play the same ones. - The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very shallow... few maps... not something you can play for hours... Cheap though :)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game works but the hitboxes are a bit dodgy, and the movement is floaty. The idea of developing a town as the legacy upgrades is pretty cool, though the game play is lacking.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Herolike is a great idea/misguided execution game that focuses too much on being like other games in the genre but forgets to add originality. There are some interesting idea choices, such as building up your town in order to access better equipment and the like, but most of them seem half-done or unfulfilled. The RPG system in the game is simply looking at a text and selecting a response. While clunky, the combat does feel rather nice but needs a bit of tweaking here and there as it does…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very hard 10/10 . Very cheap and fun. How to destroy a friendship. 1.Take a friend. 2.Challenge him to finish this game. 3.Let him play. 4.Cheat Engine 5.$$$ 6.Profit.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We like Herolike, we have some suggestions to improve it, but we like it. See more in our video review below! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsx2ZHEXfrA
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are a little funky, and when playing the shaman and using the speed boost spell, you can barely run properly

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →thank you my family will no longer acknowledge my existence i am utterly and completely alone in this world game of the year
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bugged to the core, bad control, poor balance and on top poor challenging hazard through the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted this to be good, and the idea could be good if executed correctly. However, the controls just don't feel right, the UI is clunky, and the battles get repetitive very quickly. Disappointing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its fun to play but very frusturating that i have to resart all over if i die and have to make an altar each time i do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The core gameplay is arena style combat that feels boring and clunky. Borders of the level can be hard to see, allowing your to get trapped without first realizing why. The non-action gameplay might be good, but I'm not giving that a chance since the core gameplay just isn't any fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am enjoying this game so far, the only thing i cannot stand is the art of the people portraits, (The art needs to be deleted completely, even if they don't replace it). The monster art is awesome though. Gameplay is fun, combat is a little rough around the edges (point and click needs help). I would like to see item slots for armor and weapons.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5/10 It's cheap and fun but not much depth. Hoping the Dev's add new content soon as it's a cool little game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →09-28-2016 – picked this game up today and messed around with it for a few moments. And already I have to say I like it and it has a lot of potential, but it still needs a lot of work, especially the UI and controls. So with that being said I think ill hold onto the game and see where it goes as far as progress.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a nice little hack n slash game, simple but with some original ideas as well. If you like games such as torchlight, diablo, victor vran, van helsing and similar games, you may be interested in this game as well. The graphics in this game are nice and in a cartoony style similar to torchlight. Game uses the unity engine and it looks good, spells and skills have decent enough visuals, enemies are nice looking and have a good variety in loks and size from tiny to giant compared to your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple yet annoyingly addictive because of the perma-death. Every new game will be an upgrade from the previous hence it's addictive and makes you keep on playing. NOT proud of my time put into it, for a seemingly simple indie game. :X
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great rogue-like! I've been waiting for a top-down Rogue Legacy for some time and this game provides. Fun Diablo-like hack&slash combat, easy to learn, and quite polished for an early access game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My first experience with the game was it crashing upon startup. Played three of the available classes but the game is very unbalanced and lacking in refinement that I don't wish to play more. Like the art style and concept but needs major work
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Herolike is an indie action-RPG that blends classic hack-and-slash combat with light roguelike structure and a touch of town management, aiming to deliver a compact but replayable fantasy adventure. Developed by Games Hut and published by Plug In Digital, the game wears its inspirations openly, drawing from traditional dungeon crawlers and ARPGs while keeping its systems relatively simple and approachable. Rather than chasing cinematic storytelling or large-scale spectacle, Herolike focuses on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its just not that good. lots of games that do the same thing but better for around the same price.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →first it crashed then it decides to play on my secondary monitor. Characters look as original as the name of the game suggests.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game never works!!!!! Always crashes. i still have not had a chance to play it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Budget Diablo 2.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the whole thing is actually a scam. no updates. its abandoned. dev acc tells sweet lies. chances are that you already got a non-licenced copy. then booted it. then quited it. then deleted it. TL;DR: 10/10 would trust never again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute garbage. Game is bugs. Try to load, won't load. finally loads, major texture problems, change quality, game bombs. No optimizing, runs terrible. Had to keep it loaded for 5 minutes to write this warning: Don't buy. You've been warned.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game still in early access ?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very Simple Game. Recommended if you are into the hack n slash genre. Has alot of potential. Love the artstyle
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm lovin' it. Would love to get more games like this to play and review.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an okay game with a mix of text-based events and mini horde mode fight with very simple action RPG combat. I like a lot of the concepts a lot, if some depth and variety is added it could be quite fun. I rated this positive because it's not a bad game especially for the price point but right now I'd only recommend it to anyone who really wants a very simple quick-to-play action rpg with some text adventure elements. Things I liked: - Building up a home base - Bite-sized text/combat…
