34 of 34 · most liked first.... yeesh. I'm like 5 minutes into this game and it's already clear that there are not great problems with the graphics. Your army is facing left, their army is facing right - you shoot at each other.. facing the wrong direction. I'm obviously not a game dev, but I feel like it wouldn't be too hard to just flip the models or mock up a couple different sprites and have them face the enemy they're shooting at. It's just so hard to look at. Obviously I'm not very far into the game right now, so I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Small little indie game, normally I would not really bother with it but theatre of war in North Africa is my favourite and games don't really take us there so I thought why not and bought it :) It's actually mobile game but controls are nice and there are no problems. There are 2 things I really dislike about it, if you zoom then graphic that you can see on screenshots (really nice i must say) is pixelated and not so much fun to look at any more. So you have to play with camera as high as…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the 0.5$ that I've paid for it, 1943 Deadly Desert is actually quite a solid turn-based tactical wargame, theming Allies-Axis struggle in North Africa. Sure, the visuals are static, making it look like something from the '90s, like KOEI games Operation Europe: Path to Victory or P.T.O. However, the gameplay process is actually closer to the Men of War series. About the same AI depth of engagement, the maps, and mission goals principles... yeah, but flattened into 2 dimensions, lacking…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I usually only write Positive reviews, but this game does not deserves it. (ㆆ_ㆆ) Graphics - Terrible :✅ Bad :☐ Average :☐ Good :☐ Brilliant:☐ Firstly, the units dont even have 2 facing directions, like atleast the enemy should be facing the different direction to give an illusion. But they are always with their back towards me. ( ≖.≖) Sounds - Terrible :✅ Bad :☐ Average :☐ Good :☐ Brilliant:☐ The music is a slightly Modified version of the Darksiders Menu theme…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The units are the wrong way around, who thought that was a good idea?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very poor effort from every angle. And 'angles' is very appropriate here, because all of the models are only seen from one angle! I'm not asking for triple-A graphics, but as this is hexes, you should have models for each unit from all six angles, it looks really silly when the enemy puts of sandbags in the other side of him, then shoots me out of the back of his head. The difficulty seems to be cranked up pretty high as well. I can understand the use of supplies, but when you need to refuel…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a $10 port of a free mobile 2D ISO turn based simple strategy game set in WW2. Tap your screen to move simplistic representations of tanks and things around small hex maps. Everything here is dumbed down as low as subhumanly possible to cater to mobile peasants. Screen resolution is fixed because mobile devs don't understand PCs require custom settings. This is just another example of mobile devs making gaming worse for everyone. This is far, far beneath minimum acceptable…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a very good turned based strategy game that will keep you occupied for many hours. it looks great on pc and the music is awesome, very nicely binded with the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →got it on sale for about 2 bucks , after 27 hours play I can say it is a okay game to kill some time with , almost a Tablet game or was made for PC . crisp graphics not lot of PC planing like tanks turn to fire they just fire supply plays big part so use it accordingly as was Historical . most of the mixed reviews are for asking for games in price range of 30.00 and up . not 10 and under . play is not easy as far as winning need think about what kills what once more supply is key to winning…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →horrible game not worth the 5 dollars you will be asking for a refund at 5 hours the multiplayer does not exicest the campain is really hard you alawys get sneak attacked when you think your gonna win. overall the game is not worth your money or time
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A special and old but fascinating two-dimensional game But I have seen other versions before, but they are no longer available. The previous versions were also special and worth buying.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't really like the gameplay.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It possesses a tactical charm that is akin to the Panzer General series which has kept me hanging around despite how poorly progressing through the scenarios. I am operating the movements of the game via mouse and i don't quite think I am unlocking the full potential of my assets. Suggestion: Provide more money before each individual battle. I'm gettin' clobbered.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game doesnt even start
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game but i wish they would fix some of the bugs on there other game on mobile ,pacific front, where on the campaign, code name "leviathan", where you can't complete the extra objectives. other that that this series of games deserves 5 stars
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a great little game i cant stop playing it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Game is the Greatest strategy game i have ever played hands down. Not in the way most people would enjoy a strategy game tho. There are no crazy mechanics that you need to study for to win a battle, but it is still brings a challenge to the table where you need to learn from mistakes and get gud without a steep learning curve, But more a smooth and satisfying line that promises better rounds the longer you play. But the reviews are here for a reason. The Campagne is not all too…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1943 Deadly Desert, developed and published by HandyGames, is a turn-based strategy title set during one of the most pivotal campaigns of World War II: the North African theater. Originally designed for mobile platforms before making its way to PC through Steam, the game focuses on tactical battlefield decision-making rather than grand strategic planning. Players assume the role of a battlefield commander responsible for directing troops across desert battlefields where Axis and Allied forces…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can't save the leftover golds like in the mobile version.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unlike other turn-based strategy games, 1943 Deadly Desert has a lot of unacceptable bad designs. Pros: +Good compatibility. I still can play it on Windows 10. +Some units have special ability to action two or more times in one turn. +Player can capture enemy supply base and artillery position. Cons: -There is no in-game save function. If something goes wrong, you have to restart the mission. -You can't use mouse to scroll the map. -Enemy units have unlimited fuel. This is a very unfair…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a great mobile port.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, I've read some people opinions about this game, and a lot of them get the whole stick of this genre wrong. 1-Difficulty: you have to think of this game as a chess like strategy game, with resourse managment mechanics built into it and some form of rock-paper-scossors. Some units are stronger against others, as it should be, the enviroment and health also dictates the damage tanken ad dealth. People say it is too hard, but to me, it is not. It's actually fairly easy once you actually learn…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brought this game a recently and just loaded it up and spent almost 3hrs on it, was excited to play it at first, but the first mission is where I learnt that the supply at your main base being the starting base in first mission as allies so people know which one I talking about, well was having an okay time, until I learnt that the base supply RUNS OUT, yes RUNS OUT then boom game over especially as AI is cheating it feels like, I can do hard games no issues but can't do with a game that you…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended for game farming
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow this is aweful. Do not recommend in the slightest. First off super hard turn base game and i mean with the first level. But that isnt even the worst part. The animations for the troops are just plain sloppy. Half the time the enemy troop shoot backwards. The tries to be super stratigic but it lacks in its unit specialization. Snipers cant shoot but three squares away machine gun troops just suck at every unit they go against. Its honestly just a terrible phone to pc port. But at least the…
