positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is not terrible, just really really easy, causal and boring. Unless you want some mindless fetch quest clicking for a few hours I would skip it. I would rather play a full on point and click or hidden object game instead. Linux version of the game works without any issues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom truly is the perfect game for when you are in the mood for a relaxing game that doesn't demand much from you. The whole game is setup in such a way that you can sit back, relax and enjoy. No time mechanisms, no challenging puzzles and no complicated story lines. This relaxing game-play is accompanied with the right background music, an elegant user interface and highly detailed graphics. In addition, the eye for detail and the polished style make sure there's nothing you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty relaxing point and click and better than minecraft. Hero of the Kingdom 8/10 Heisen
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a cozy, simple game to pass the time :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Theses games are so cozy. I love the game play and it has a very satisfying progression from doing odd jobs for pocket change to saving the kingdom.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really addictive mix of hidden object game, a crafting game a-la Farmville and... Divine Divinity?? Incredibly relaxing and satisfying to play, despite being really bareboned and feeling a bit like a facebook game. Definitely looking forward to playing the sequel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom is a deceptively basic hidden object adventure game wrapped in great execution. When I first started, I was a little concerned by the amount of initial hand-holding. It felt that the entire thing was going to be, "read this text, and then click here," but my concerns were quickly resolved. I'm glad I stuck with it, because I'm not sure I've ever played anything quite like this before. Although "pixel hunting" is a big part of the game, it also incorporates classic RPG…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow. I liked this game a whole lot much overly more than I thought. A really great Casual and I wanted to do it all. Fun story and challenges to overcome too. So glad I have more games to play in the series. Must. Play. More. *-* THANKS YOU!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom I is a very casual point-and-click adventure RPG that mixes elements of hidden-object gameplay with a simple role-playing quest. You play as a farm boy whose peaceful life is shattered when bandits burn down your farm and kidnap your father. The gameplay is relaxing and straightforward, you explore static scenes looking for items, click on people to get quests, and gather resources like herbs, fish, and mushrooms. There are no complicated character stats to worry about;…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is amazingly fun little game The perfect game to zone out and hear a tale while completing objectives. There is only one minor issue in the spoiler. Once you complete the game you should head back home and rebuild the farm with your father.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom is a special little game. It's a cozy point and click adventure game. The story is nice. The gameplay, nothing too special. You have to solve some puzzles and quests. In order to do this, you have to search for certain tools and resources and manage your overall items. It's a perfect game if you want a cozy afternoon. You can easily play it with only your mouse. The achievements are easy to obtain, most of them you will automatically obtain while following the story.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple point and click RPG game, nothing exceptional, okay story. Easy to 100%
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another game to play and to forget. Don't be afraid of spending money on quests - anyway in the end you won't need it. Also if you are interested in getting achievements: • when the game will be over you will be able to load the last save and to finish them; • personal advice - try to click everywhere on each map looking for mushrooms, lost barrels, eggs - these three were the hardest ones for me to find, what took almost an hour after finishing the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game if you're looking for something simple and chill.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh right, didnt answer the question in my other post. Little Missfortune is probably the top of my list of short but great games. Cthulu Saves the World and even shorter, Cthulu Saves Christmas if you want some bite sized JRPG goodness. Breath of Death VII from the same dev is also short. Im also a sucker for Hidden Object Adventure gsmes which all take 2-4 hours. Artifex Mundi was my favorite dev for those until 2020 when they pivoted to a mobile dev. Donut County was really addicting and…
unlabelledView post →Short and nice point & click game. Game is for few hours with resource management and simple, but nice story. Would recommend if you are bored and want to play something simple. Wish that it was easier to track which merchant sells what and in which location, need to memorise and spend time travelling from one point to another just to give some other person in whole another location, but besides that it was fine. Rating: 4/5
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute little RPG you can complete in an afternoon. A bit fetch quest-esque but a very enjoyable experience nonetheless!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really had no idea what kind of game experience this was going to be. The images only made me confused, when I was trying to find the protagonist on them. When I started the playthrough I was surprised: "I haven't seen anything like this." This game is this very strange point and click RPG adventure that literally thinks outside of the box. There is no visible main character on the map, instead you interact with the world by clicking certain points of interests and the characters start…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If your aim is bad, this is the game for you. Not a crosshair in sight, just pure, soothing, calming clicking. Its super easy to play and can be ran on a potato. Would recommend 9.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For under two bucks on sale for each instalment of this relaxing game. Why not? You can even grab it at any Key Vendor for that sale price any day of the week. Would recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3.7h %100 Achievement without guides. Good game for Achievement Hunters!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's hard to believe that this much beloved game which started the love affair with this developer and this franchise, could be improved or would be improved. Yet that is exactly what has happened. Because of their devotion to their games, while redoing their entire structure for mobile apps, they also updated their existing games. Not very many developers would bother. The updated version of this game adds more color in the way of character faces, ease of playing with improved numeric buy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did not expect to enjoy this, but I really did. There's not a lot to say, it's a 4 hour point and click adventure game with a ton of little things to find along the way. If you cannot find them all, or don't have great vision, then there's great steam guides to help you out. This game doesn't have any accessibility options, so if you have poor vision, you should give it a miss as the game doesn't give you anything for that. I have good vision and I found it hard to see a lot of things. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom? More like Hustler of the Kingdom.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Less than 5 hours to beat. Gameplay is shallow, but inoffensive. English translation is awful and the story is as strong as American beer. Be Glorious Our Hero! and don't buy this game for anything more than 99 cents.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun game if you are an older gamer and aren’t expecting much. Nostalgia pixel art game A fun few hours if you can get this on sale. I do not recommend at full price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very much a casual title, not a serious RPG or Point and Click by any means. Beating it is very much an inevitability and so go into it knowing you're playing it for the enjoyment of clearing out map markers and to have some fun clicking on stuff. The story is fine, its as straightforward as these things come.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short, fun and relaxing. I totaly recommend it and if u get it on sale it would cost like a dollar.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played it! Completed it! Enjoyed it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An absolutely fantastic game (and series), my daughter and girlfriend also really enjoyed the game! Strongly encourage anyone looking for a nice, cheap but well designed story to pick this up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cool. I'm usually one to write stupidly long reviews but for this game... i can only really say that its story and its outcome was pretty obvious, its achievements were a challenge to complete (especially when playing the game blind like i did lol) and i felt the ending/final "battle" was way too fast lol Would've been cool if the battles in general had more of a cutscene-esque feel to them, but i won't blame the game for lacking something when it probably was someone's first game they…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple story, nice puzzle and lovely soundtrack, a good, cozy and simple point click. Great game to spend the weekend figuring out what to do (or click the hint button) and enjoy the adventure. 10/10 (no, really a 10/10).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is exactly what it supposed to be, entertaining and simple. It won’t be interesting for everyone, especially hard core players seeking a challenge, but it has its audience. For the majority of time it felt like reading a book. The story is predictable at some points, but you still want to go thru it at your own pace in order to find out how everything pans out. You won’t need to grind for anything if you clear every screen, that you unlock. The hard part is collecting all the hidden…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom (2012) The best way to describe this game is 'medieval life' simulator. You have your humble starts living on a farm outside of town that gets burned down by bandits to becoming the hero of the kingdom through your efforts and deeds. Its a very relaxing game to play. It's a story-driven Point & Click exploration game in an old-school isometric style. You can collect materials and sell it for gold and you can buy what you need with the gold. You need resources and gold to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. The gameplay is ok. The music is great. So nice to my ear and mood!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an extremely simplistic game but for some reason I find it very enjoyable. Relaxing and oddly satisfying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A point and click game, small, time passing, good adventure. PS: make sure you have a good screen wide/large enough to spot all the collectible item .
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before I felt any enjoyment, I felt my eyes hurting from squinting and straining to find the slightly different coloured pixels and my attention drifting from the linear, forgettable 'quests'. Just not enough here to keep me interested especially when it physically hurts to play for more than half an hour.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, yeah... I will kill the all-mighty dark wizard, but just let me pick 23512593492424 flowers for the old lady from cottage in the woods. This game is like if Diablo and Clicker Heroes had a child. Score: Clicking/Reading
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty nice story honestly, point and click, casual game, Not to difficult so something to do if u just wanna relax.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Forget Skyrim, forget Baldur's Gate III. This is the next thing Hero of the Kingdom is a surprising relaxing, simple in an elegant way, and not very difficult game. It's not an RPG, not an adventure game and not a puzzle game when you look at it in the strict sense of the word. It tells an interactive story where each location is more or less static screen where you interact with by clicking on marked icons. You've options of gathering resources, visiting shops, completing quests etc. At times…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You know, Hero of the Kingdom is a fine enough way to spend a chill Sunday afternoon. There's no challenge to the game and it has a little bit of a pixel hunt element to it that I liked. There isn't a whole lot in the way of a narrative, you just go screen to screen clicking on stuff, and I enjoyed it well enough. Don't expect too much and pick it up on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom is sort of a blend of casual clicker and adventure game. I do think it's interesting how much it makes out of a very basic mechanic (click thing to exchange resources for other resources). But this is also very much the bottom of my brain-no-work category.
unlabelledView post →The "game" is 1 hour long
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A super chill, classic original.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So at first this game seems lame af, but it opens up a bit and functions like this interactive story/hidden object/time management hybrid game. I enjoyed it enough to finish it, and was kind of bummed at how short it was when it was over. The game world screens are nice, but you don't get much else in terms of gameplay, as everything is static. It's almost like one of those text based RPGs presented in graphical form. I got it in a bundle, but I guess would I pay $8 for it? Probably not. It…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom is a single-player adventure RPG developed and published by Lonely Troops that deliberately steps away from high-intensity combat and complex systems in favor of a calm, exploration-driven experience. It presents itself as a gentle journey through a classic fantasy setting, where progress is measured not by mechanical mastery but by curiosity, persistence, and attention to detail. From the opening moments, the game establishes a cozy, almost storybook tone, inviting players…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Haven't finished the game yet, but this is a pretty fun old school type of game with Age of Empire/Rise of Nations graphics style. Plays more like a puzzle because generally you are trying to use your resources for the next objective. I like the game a lot and will probably play all of the other HotK games they have. I like the story as well, nothing crazy but it's fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a very-into game with decent, concrete, sounded depth in each click, storytelling, sound, effects and world. you will love it, after just about 10 to 20 minutes into the game; the music grows and nurture inside, inside with warmth and captivity of casual, worldtelling and combo with great dialogues. i learnt to love the mechanics, flavors, the design and developments of the series of hero of the kingdom. And, made me bought and too, played the second one. This one have the rating of 8.5…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very neat game, I have played it several times and have always enjoyed it. Some things are a bit hard to find because of the size and or blending into other things, but with persistence, it can be done.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I owned the series on Big Fish Games back in the day, bought it for support and nostalgia, but can't believe just how good the gameplay still is! This title certainly ages well, and plays just as well today, as it did 10+ years ago. Great casual adventure, even more enjoyable if you're exhausted after long days at work and desperately want to play something, but too tired to play all these modern games that tire you even more! So glad to see the series kept growing, will be playing all 6…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good point n click game, good story
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom III wins the vote so we back to being blind and clicking like made twitch.tv/darkpersona26 #streams #game #gaming #twitch
unlabelledView post →Nice cosy game. Really simple but enjoyable. Probably a bit too easy. Finding the last of the eggs and managing money are the only two difficult things. And even then money is fairly simple i just didn't want to sell stuff. :) I would've expected some puzzles but maybe that's just me thinking the puzzles are the easiest way to raise difficulty in point and click games. :3 Would recommend for a few hours of simple cosy point and click adventure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good game for the 90s nostalgia feeling. Subjectively not a great game, feels a bit rushed with dialog/story. The story is pretty bland, but the point and click aspect is great, works well on steam deck. Overall for $1 on sale it's a great game, beatable in 4-5 hours
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. A few things. Needs labels on main map. Needs a quest list including locations.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cannot believe this is considered a game :D most free to play games have more depth. Click here, get wood Click here, get fruit a building is on fire Click her to build it...
