This time we play as princess Cassandra and her best friend Philip, the cook's son. Instead of taking a lesson in etiquette, the princess prefers to go on an adventure beyond the castle's walls instead. On that very day, a mage called Fendrel was going to have an audience with the king, but things turned upside down because of the armor of the Gods which the King owns and the mage has his…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, thanks for the Ukrainian localization! An easy to understand and interesting medieval-style game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you’ve ever longed to be a run away Princess working on a farm then this is the game for you. The lost tales 2 is another shorter entry in the charming point & click/resource management/hidden object series, still pretty much the same as the rest (except hotk3). New story wearing the same coat as the previous games, and you either like it, or you don't. This time you follow the story of I-don't-wanna-be-a-princess Kassandra. Be a bit naughty, take a peek beyond the city walls, then…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright. Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 2 is done and dusted. It's a self-contained story that doesn't require knowledge of what happened in previous entries, which is cool. And you know, it was aight. Completely casual experience that was decent overall. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3392921785 You play as a princess who, after sneaking out of your royal stomping grounds with a buddy, end up being stuck outside the castle and need to find a way back in. When you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RANKING: AVOID | LACKING | MAYBE | WORTHWHILE | COMPELLING | UNMISSABLE SYNOPSIS: WHAT TO EXPECT: Heroes of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 2 (HotK:TLT2) is a simple, single-player point & click adventure, with casual gameplay including lite RP and strategy. Set in a medieval fantasy land, players take on the role of a female protagonist who must save her besieged city from marauding hordes. They will explore an isometric game world, take on quests from NPCs, find hidden items and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has been about 4 years since I played the prior HotK "Lost Tales" and I got exactly what I expected. If you have not played the earlier 3, I would recommend you try at least one of them first. This is a game you play to turn your brain off and relax. The story does not add much to the game and the entire experience is linear. This release felt like it had quite a lot of backtracking because I never knew how much of an item I would need and did not want to waste resources. That additional…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, that was the shortest chapter of Hero of the Kingdom. About 2 - 2.5 hours long, maybe a bit longer because of the Golden Fish achievement or some other random things, but, can't say I'm missing all the unnecessary grind from the most of the previous games. So, a good little point & click adventure, for a decent price, once again! Worthy pick for some relaxed gameplay. Could have use more characters, events and stuff, sure, but... Well, it's just a little game, right? And still, I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing. From the gameplay to the lore, this game is for casual and hardcore gamers alike. The lore is extremely rich and deep and it will keep you invested. I recommend this to anyone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played all five games back to back, and the previous four were pretty chill and relaxing. It would be nice if certain features didn't appear and disappear (regenerating stuff in at least a few areas is nice) and the "buy from the map" feature in one of them was awesome. But this one! Horrible supply balance. Sparse stuff to gather, and CONSTANT back and forth to get this herb from this seller before going to the other one to make the potion but good luck stocking up because some of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unlike the past games, the latest installment is uninspiring and tedious. - Mostly recycled assets and nothing new, - The economy is broken with you constantly struggling to juggle your money and items. - The entire thing is a slog with too much emphasis on potions, most of the time you are just going back and forth as every enemy needs a potion or other. - Your weapon breaking and forcing you to keep on spending money to buy a new one is terrible. - The story is generally uninspiring…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible game compared to the others in the series. Non-stop backtracking one fight at a time to buy specific potions.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a very linear game. You go around collecting the things you need to do the quest. That's it. Not an exciting story, no mind-bending mini-games, and the characters had no charm. I played it through. It took me 4 hours; I don't play fast. If you want a game that's just about clicking a screen, go ahead and play, but you'd be better off reading a book. I was given this game by a friend who received it in a bundle and decided it didn't sound like his type of game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom is a series where you talk to people and do missions, manage your inventory items and defeat monsters. It is really easy to learn and understand, and the puzzles are pretty relaxing to solve. Was fun to play without thinking so much. Recommended!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My least favorite of the series. This part feels a bit 'dumbed down' and grindy for no reason. Although the story itself is not that bad, I felt it was still lacking. Where the other parts were much more organic in structure and resources, this part felt like you needed a 'trick' to make money to get all the resources you needed to progress. Therefore also a lot shorter than the others. Let's hope the next one has a bit more to offer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one was worse even than the grindy one! I have really liked the others of this series, the grindy one wasn't as fun but wasn't too bad, but this one beat that one hands down for not being fun. This game keeps you miserably broke & barely scraping by from start to finish & running endlessly through underground passages just to keep selling what you're going to need later & yes of course you will be selling other things you have to have later just to get the current stuff. Loved the story…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 2 is a casual puzzle game focused on resource management and puzzle-solving. The game follows a princess who must save her city from monsters and restore order. The pixel art and music are very calm. Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 2 offers a relaxing and enjoyable experience for those seeking a touch of nostalgia.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't recall there being as much backtracking in the previous games. This one got really tedious requiring constant trips back and forth to stock up on various potions, it began to feel a lot like padding after a couple of hours. Also, there were certain items that repeated across scenes but were never required for collection in the end (bags of coins, pages from a book), which leads me to think that the game was intended to be longer, they just couldn't be bothered to make it so. Whatever…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly these games are getting shorter and shorter. I finished this one with all achievements in about 2 hours, while i played the first parts for 7+ hours. I only recommend buying this in a sale and if you loved the other parts.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →please make more :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Give me more of this game and similar genre with different "historical" settings
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the shortest game in whole hero of the kingdom series. It feels like this is the first demo game of this series. It is too short , i have completed game within 4 hours with %100 achievements with really really slow pace. Do i suggest this game ? Yes it is 100x better than the 3rd game of this series. But try to buy it when it is in discount otherwise just watch it on some streaming services.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another instalment of my favourite "junk/comfort food" game series :) The gameplay is the same as the previous 4 games, keeping on with the shorter length and non-respawning resources of the 1st Lost Tales, and a female protagonist this time :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Standard reboot of Hero of the Kingdom. Took 3 hours to click through. This is less of a hidden object game and more of a fast travel simulator. Returning 50 times to the alchemist to make yet another healing potion gets stale fast.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I now played all games of the series and simply love the relaxing effect it has. After a day of work, it's simply nice to not have to think too hard, collect some items and immerse yourself in a simple fairytale story. I also commend the developers on constantly trying new things and evolving the game loop. However, that's also one of the most controversial parts for me. Sometimes the devs try something new, people don't like how it's implemented and they completely retcon it. I played HotK 2…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you've played a Hero of the Kingdom game before, you know exactly what to expect. It's a super casual resource management game. This one has a bit more plot to it and requires a bit more tightly managed resources. Also, in this particular one, your skills don't improve, there's no crafting, and nothing respawns. It's a bite sized, stripped-down experience, but still fun nonetheless.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No, no, no, Lonely Troops. Why is this entry so grindy again? The first 2 games were the best. I don't think it's possible to finish this one without grinding the crap out of one of the infinite money exploits.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →at this point there is no need to talk too much about it. the game is pretty much like all its predecessors with both its good and negative aspects. if you liked the other hero of the kingdom games you will feel at home right away. completing the game and unlocking 100% achievements took 3.5 hours and sometimes that's all you need on a lazy sunday afternoon. forward to my review of Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 3:…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As always, excellent addition to the series. It doesn't do much to change the formula but I honestly am happy for it. I continue to enjoy these each time one pops out and I am always keeping an eye out for another. My stance as a big fan of the series remains unchanged. I recommend this game but do at least start with Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 1 first. They seem intended to be played in order, which is what I recommend as well. Enjoy! I know I did.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ooh! We get to play as a female MC this time around! And while everything was fine and dandy (with nod backs to characters from previous games, heh heh) -> the only thing was... It felt like it ended kinda quickly and that there was no conclusion for C + P. But that's just me and well... We can always comes up with our own!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this Hero of the Kingdom Lost Tales 2 might be the best game in the franchise up to this point. Decent story, less confusing on collecting items as some of the previous games and longer than most with fantastic music!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 2 - What an absolute joy! This sequel builds beautifully on the charm of the first game while introducing new elements that enhance the experience. The art style is as lovely as ever, with vibrant landscapes and beautifully designed characters that bring the world to life. The soundtrack perfectly complements the enchanting visuals, creating an immersive atmosphere that draws you in. The gameplay is engaging, featuring a mix of resource management and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More of the same of what you would expect from this series. There is nothing new done in this entry, if anything there's less. A bit less grindy in some aspects but also more formulaic. If you like the series you'll like this one, but get it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales II is the 5th installment in the series. It is a point-and-click game with resource management in isometric style. There is no real challenge and you can't lose or die, a perfect casual game. You play as a princess trying to rescue your city from an evil threat while interacting with different characters, developing new skills, and fighting monsters as you progress. It looks as good as the other games in the series. You can interact with animals, collect…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is a vibe
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't sell your night flowers or blue mushrooms.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Weakest in the franchise. Get it if you're a fan of all the other games, and want one more of them to play, but otherwise definitely skip.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such an addictive casual game. Perfect game to take a break and just run through. While it's a hidden object type of game, the objects aren't that hidden, and you new quests lead you to collecting new items. Here, you are a princess whose castle just got attacked while you out and about away from the castle. The game is based on you trying to help save the castle and the adventure you go on. Great continuing series, a bit shorter than some of the others in the series, but since it's the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love these games!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The renowned HotK adventures continues with another episode (which is not a direct continuation of any previous games in the series). This time you’re put into the shoes of a young princess, who starts her adventure by avoiding her royal duties, only to get thrown into a conspiracy that threatens the very foundations of her kingdom. Gameplay-wise, it’s really just another chapter in the HotK series: pick resources scattered across static screens, use them to complete quests or for crafting,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More of "Hero of the Kingdom" but this time as a Princess to rescue the Kingdom of her parents. But the "Lost Tales" come with some quirks like some others mentioned before. Your day as a Princess sounds like this after a while (most actions cost strength): - Slay 1 to 4 monsters (each with a weapon, strength, potion & other items requirements to kill it) or perform 1 to 4 quests (items and/or strength requirements) - Meanwhile you might be out of potions - Travel a lot to buy expensive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was going to recommend this game on the basis of it doing a lot of things better than their other games. But the developer is going to be using LLMs for their future games, and I do not recommend funding someone who does that. Furthermore, I do have a ton of issues with this game specifically: This game doesn't have any accessibility options, so if you have poor vision, you should give it a miss as the game doesn't give you anything for that. I have good vision and I found it hard to see a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 2 is a calm and approachable adventure RPG that focuses more on exploration, helping people, gathering resources, and completing interconnected tasks than on traditional combat or complicated character development. Developed and published by Lonely Troops, it follows the established style of the series while telling a self-contained fantasy story. Its straightforward mechanics make it particularly suitable for players who enjoy casual adventures where steady…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked this one a bit more than some of the others. I enjoy the Hero of the Kingdom games; they're a pretty chill way to spend an afternoon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom is sort of a blend of casual clicker and adventure game. I do think it's interesting how much it makes out of a very basic mechanic (click thing to exchange resources for other resources). But this is also very much the bottom of my brain-no-work category.
unlabelledView post →It was a good game, back then. It still is, but it is not as fun as it used to be. Some games should be kept only in our fondest memories.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favourite game series. Hero of the Kingdom 2 and this one were by far the best ones, along with the classic original first in the series. They should bring out a part four, just as good as the second, and as "challenging" as the first. I highly encourage this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom III wins the vote so we back to being blind and clicking like made twitch.tv/darkpersona26 #streams #game #gaming #twitch

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't want to come off as too critical of Lonely Troops here. The games are quite decent really. I guess I just don't play enough, or I'm spacing out mid game and losing precious seconds. And the Dev/Pub did the rather neat "Hero Of the Kingdom" clicker games. Go check them out.
unlabelledView post →Still addictive! The story is somewhat bittersweet though
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fine somewhat shorter entry, resusing a lot of prior assets (maybe no new art at all?). Not a bad place to start with, as an introduction to this very chill and laid-back series. Be aware that despite the G-rated presentation, some PG-13 cussing happens on rare occasion (for emphasis, not really casually). This entry concludes with a series of unexpected sacrificial heroism which I'll admit tugged at my heartstrings. (And leaves some hope for a specific sequel, though the bittersweet ending…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent add-on to the series, but not the place to start.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →These games are so relaxing and the story is interesting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good adition to Hero of the Kingdom games. Best storytelling, but a little shorter.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like it, simple and relaxing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Strap on your tiara and dive into the muck and mayhem as a runaway princess in "Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 2"! Who knew royal life could get so dirty? With cows mooing and chickens clucking in the background, this game earns a solid 10/10 for its hilarious take on highborn hijinks. So, grab your scepter and get ready to rule the roost – literally!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was my first Hero of the Kingdom game and I enjoyed it to a certain extent, it got old towards the end where I had to repetitively go back to the alchemists to make potions and purchase flowers then find something in my pack to sell for funds, though that could be a skill issue. I guess there wasn't really time nor content to feel attached to the characters, besides using them as tools to click through the game. I liked the environments the most.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4/10 Yet another b-story in the Hero of the Kingdom series. This is easily the weakest installment in the series for 3 major reasons (Don't worry, I won't spoil anything, in case you do plan to play it): 1. There is a character from Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 1 who returns in this one. The game doesn't draw much attention to that fact, and instead relies on the player to remember who they are. That's nice, and I can give the devs some credit for not being heavy-handed in this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good resource management game with a story. The hardest part for me is finding all the lost crates. I have all the other achievements now need to go over everywhere with a fine tooth comb. A guide would be wonderful for old people like me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent game for its Genre. I completed the Trilogy of this game. Fun and pretty quick.
