positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is not your typical RPG. It doesn't involve rolling dice or button-mashing battles. Instead, it's a casual game where you click on text, items, and possible battle outcomes. The story follows a brother and sister escaping a tough situation, only to find themselves in another strange situation. To progress through the story, you click through multiple zones and complete quests. The story, while not particularly remarkable, fits the bill for a short, casual game with a "good versus…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The sequel is not as good as the 1st game but it's enjoyable. Hero of the Kingdom II 5/10 Heisen
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Again with the annoying tutorial. How immersive - I love when I'm talking to people and a giant arrow is pointing to them. You do know you can explain how to play in a non invasive way right? Like the majority of games. I'd like to like these games - they look decent, I'll admit that. The tutorial, attempted addiction inducing aspects like the achievements and sound affects and the constant going from one side of the world to the other is very annoying. Sure you can use the map as a shortcut,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent RPG, the story the puzzle kepp U all the time on hype u will not get bored at all, I rate this master piece 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Number 2 to a very good game series. Looking forward to number tree.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Second game in a series I've played on the next day after completing the first game. I had urging need to complete all achievements right away in a single day instead of properly sleeping the second night in a row. What could I say, I didn't enjoy games this way for a long time. It's very casual and relaxing. Some achievements are a bit grindy but whateva It's a really good choice to get rest and have some cosy time ^_^
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not sure how this game got such high ratings. It's a passable diversion for several hours but has little depth or challenge.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly too long and boring, and unnecesary money hardship that forces you to sell things you later have to buy back with a loss because you needed those items later. Game one was better. Skip this one. When you bring soldiers to a fight/quest you need to bring health potions too. Why when the soldiers die anyway? Playtime reflects I did other stuff at the same time. But I had decided to stop playing, then I realized how little was left and I finished it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom II continues the series’ casual adventure style while improving on a few aspects of the original. This time, the story has a new twist: the kingdom is under threat from ruthless pirates, and your character’s sister gets kidnapped during a raid. You set off on a journey to rescue her, which eventually has you sailing to far-off islands and confronting the pirate menace. I immediately noticed that the world and story felt a bit bigger in scope than the first game. The second…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cozy, simple, and i actually enjoyed getting the achievements! the story is a bit silly though, but that's alright :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More of a mebbe than a hard NO. Not as fun as the first one, but wholly superior to Hero of the Kingdom III, which HotKIII is the hardest of hard NOs. It is important to know I got all 3 games in a bundle for $1. I'd not pay full price, even for the first one, but for a wee bit more than 25 cents, srsly, it would be a challenge to find a better way to kill time in a casual, relaxing game than HotK. HotKII, I'd say is well priced at 33, starting to feel expensive at $1.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very casual point and click and gathering adventure game. Plays similarly as the prequel, with a "rags to hero" storyline, though with a completely new plot and characters altogether. Very easy to play, but resources and inmap items do not replenish so you are required to watch your gold and inventory carefully (basically this is one of the games that rewards you for hoarding stuff), and looking for items in the ground may at times be an exercise in "Find Waldo". As in the first game, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →About Hero of the Kingdom II I can say that the game offers an interesting experience. The game's plot follows a young hero who embarks on an epic journey through a medieval world to find his missing mother. The player must gather resources, trade items, and complete quests to gain advancement opportunities in the game and advance the story. The concept is tried and tested and remains successful in this game. The graphics and the soundtrack are atmospheric and manage to create a good…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After playing 3 Hero of the Kingdom games, Hero of the Kingdom 2 is a strong addition to the series and is slightly longer story wise. It can get repetitive fast so do take breaks but the game was still fun overall. Definitely enjoyed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Second game of the series, and in my opinion the best one! It plays some years after the first one, and has a few very nice references, but it does not require you to play the first game to understand whats happening. The game has a very strong start and keeps you busy until you reach the city, with basic gathering, a few important quests and some exploring. Once you reach the city and start going for your next quest which means you have to build a ship you start getting overhelmed for some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a great time with this, with one major caveat for some people. It's very similar to the first game, lot's of screens, lot's of pointy clicky adventure. Find eggs, mushrooms, etcetera. I completed the game in one sitting and got all the achievements without need of any guides, but there are guides, so if you do get stuck, there's things to help. Disclaimer however, this game doesn't have any accessibility options, so if you have poor vision, you should give it a miss as the game doesn't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a whole lot different than Hero of the Kingdom, this time instead of searching for your dad kidnapped by bandits, you're searching for your sister kidnapped by pirates. Probably the biggest difference from the first game is that new areas are unlocked much more quickly, so there's a lot more bouncing around locations to find the items you need and quests to complete. Anyhow, this game is more-or-less the same as the first, so if you liked that, you'll probably like this, if you didn't, you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mind-numbing point/click game based on Pirates. You cannot lose or die. Just keep going - it's not that difficult. The story isn't even really good - but everything is executed correctly. It will take you about 5-6 hours to beat. Do it in two sessions over a weekend and you won't have anything to complain about. However, you probably won't remember the experience either...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pinch of hidden object, a bit of point and click, a smidge of rpg and you get this title. As a game it is pretty much a terrible formula, as a story it is so shallow it would be jealous of a kiddy pool. Is this game better than the first one? Yeah absolutely but being better than a braindead time distraction isn't much of a praise but if you want a braindead time distraction this is a good one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →decent casual game to relax and kill time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Welp. I literally lost this game. In the beginning too. X.X I played it like I did the first one and........ I couldn't give what was needed to continue. D: So then I became a hoarder and used *only* what was necessary. I won. Great game. Even includes quick romance. Onwards!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not a complicated affair and it pretty much requires zero skill but it does hit that do-tasks-for-people-and-get-better-at-stuff part of the brain, worth the full price! another 10/10!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best game in the series, lots of hidden objects, a fine story and the different gameplay elements seem to fit together best here. Very cute and relaxing, perfect casual game for surprisingly many hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom 2 - just pick some berries, sell them to the market so you can buy a weapon, kill some spiders to earn money and then buy some berries from the market to feed yourself... Its a full circle! Score: Ben Gunn/Jack Sparrow

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When you thought the first game was good. The second one is even better. It has pirates, snakes, zombies and spiders in a 263 MB sized game! First game play I started out all right, but after around 20 minutes I got stuck. A person needed a sack of flower and another one needed 25 loafs of bread. I had eaten a whole lot of loafs of bread myself, so I came short a few. The resources for either were nowhere to be found and there was nothing left to do. So I was done after ony 20 minutes of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice casual game. What I got was what I expected. Slightly more back and forth compared to HotK1, so a little more difficult for the kiddies. But thoroughly enjoyed it as an adult. Fun to get 100% achievements.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a combination of crafting, hidden objects and RPG all together. Throughout the game you meet a lot of people throughout the game that help you or need stuff from you. Visually the game is really beautiful and you can differentiate between all the different animals, flowers, mushrooms, etc. All of the resources and most of the enemies do not respawn throughout the game and you need to make sure that you collected everything. You will need to collect everything so that you can unlock…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little hidden object game that you can't loose. Just a game to relax and let the story flow. The story is a little downgrade from the first part. My rating 6/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played and re-played this game many times. I have all the iterations including the lost tales. I often start with the first and reinstall each until I have finished. Then wait a while and do it again. I have had many hours of enjoyment.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Biggest advantage here is that it's pretty easy to use an infinite money loop to make money a non-issue for the rest of the game. This cuts out a lot of the grinding and makes the game more pleasant.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great point and click to pass time, its easy and fun, as long as you grab everything on sight you will not have any problems with gold. A great sequel for Hero of the Kingdom! 9.5/10!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best in the series, it's a very cute and stress free game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good engaging game that, as a 50 year old woman, makes me feel like i'm playing games back in high school. I love this series and the vibe!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →-- It is a little short for the price. -- Resources don't re-spawn, so unlocking all the achievements is a lot of work. ++++ It is an easy little game for days you don't have it in you to play something more substantial. ++++ There are several infinite gold loops to make getting through the game very easy. ++++ The story in this game is imo the best in the series by far. ++++ We get a ship and crew in a pirate setting, much better than the other 2 games in the series imo. If you only…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good classic game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty nice and addictive little game! The only flaw in my opinion is that the story is completely linear.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're in to linear games that give you no free choices, then this is the game for you. Kind of a cute story line but not great. Kinda weak actually. It was fun for several hours but it just gets repetitious and dull. Save your money and avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was a good game, back then. It still is, but it is not as fun as it used to be. Some games should be kept only in our fondest memories.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good point-and-click adventure like the first game but a bit less linear. You have to become a charcoal producer for half an hour to make gold for your journey.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Same as the first entry of the title, it is a decent "hidden objects"/"one awl for another" specimen. This time it seems more about trading and traveling, rather than looking for hidden objects. The storyline evolved a little bit, so did the general appearance. Still a fair deal.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An excellent sequel to the first game - but you don't need to have played the first one or any of the other ones. I love how they are all standalone games. So pretty and I love working out all of the little quests and gathering resources. I played this more than once.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice casual game with a easy to understand main quest to become a hero. Just like the prequel it's a point and click where you get skills to find stuff. The game can be finished in 3-4 hours and took me another try for all achievements.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel that Hero of the Kingdom II is the best game of the initial trilogy. It is a point and click adventure game from a bird's eye view that alternates between meeting checklists and finding hidden objects in the environment, as the protagonist helps save his sister from kidnapping pirates. The viewpoint is more zoomed in from the initial adventure, allowing for more detailed characters with limited animations. This entry introduces indoor environments and lockpicking, as well as a handful of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a kind, gracious, helpfulness, and strongly flavored and grandiose story game! Love it for its charm, its easyness and flow of the game! Do try this game for it easy going-ness and i actually prefer this story over the first part. Game's really great and charming, TRY IT! 8.8 out of 10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute classic, def worth a shot
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As Ive finished first part I went right ahead to this game mechanics are pretty similiar story simple but solid graphic execution of world is to my liking nice chilling game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →what an amazing follow up to the first game!!! Everything has been improved upon! Absolutely recommend, exceptional addition to your library. Fantastic for on the go with the Steam Deck. I am going to go play number 3 right now!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Point and click a lot, still good with some upgrade from the first one. A bit challenging yet fun game. And again a good monitor is a must.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was my review of the first game, and it partially applies here: "Extremely casual game, but well done. (Absolutely not an RPG, by any stretch of the imagination. Don't be deceived by the publisher's description.) A solid 6/10. Obviously many agree with me, which is why you should be careful about 90+% ratings on Steam. It doesn't mean a 9/10. It means 90% or more gave the game at least a 6/10 (or a 5/10, but decided to recommend it). I give it a 6/10." However, this game has a much…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hero of the Kingdom 2 is a magnificent casual game. I really enjoyed the gameplay of looking for and collecting various natural produce and then strategically managing resources with traders to use them for quest advancements. The game didn't feel grindy even for a full achievement clear, which in and of itself wasn't that hard. Visually and audibly everything is quite pleasant too. Storywise, the dialogues and lore are presented plainly but genuinely. What I didn't like was the fact of not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7.5/10 Expands nicely on the mechanics and story-telling engine of the first Hero of the Kingdom. Plus, it's a much longer story with many more twists and turns. Once again, it's simple, and it's meant for casual playing. It's been described as a puzzle game, but I wouldn't even really classify it that way, to be honest. It's not a puzzle game in the sense that some point-and-click games are. The only real puzzle is in managing your resources and trying to figure out how to find the items…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Weird kinda point-and-click hidden object RPG, I liked it a lot though
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a great fun and passed it in one day same as I. part .... off we go to III. part! :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very similar to the first one, which alone earns it my recommendation. There are some slight changes, such as skills no longer having ranks and some new skills (lockpicking, pearl diving ...). Also, the game feels more like an adventure than a casual chill game -- there is some dungeon delving, more fighting, a "thieves guild" of sorts, etc ...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →another fun little game on the cheap. less than £4 for whole 5 pack series and all working just fine on windows 11. great value
