Her Majesty's SPIFFING it's a fun point ad click adventure game. Unfortunately, the game is not finished. This is just like chapter one, a long demo. THE GAME IS NOT FINISHED, THIS IS JUST A prologue of a game never finished. The fact that they are still asking 12$ for this , without any warning about not been a finished game is borderline scammy.

You might like if: You like a playful point-and-click adventure which doesn't take itself too seriously... but are happy with a short play time of 2-4 hours. To be very frank (English... fnarr fnarr) - My one (and only) quibble with this game is its duration. With a lifespan 2-4 hours, it's just too little bang-for-your-buck to be able to comfortably recommend without mentioning this caveat. Hats off to the team though, what's there is a promising, very polished rival to the Lucas Arts…

I laughed. Out loud. Several times. Usually when I see/hear funny things, I'm only smiling in my head. This game has just the right balances of smart and dumb humor combined with jokes making fun of point-and-click games. The main character reminds me of somebody (personality wise) from Family Guy (probably due to the art style combined with his style of posturing), except consistently quality bar and better humor. And no filler. Gameplay-wise, it's a pretty standard point-and-click. No huge…

This is just a demo. Shareware. Could be something if it was a full game but about 60 minutes of gameplay is no game. The screenshots on this page basically show ALL scenes this game has!

This game feels more like a demo than an actual game, i.e. it is simply way too short, barely 2 hours long if you interact with every possible object. Despite having a good sense of humour and parodying the point and click genre, it really fails to deliver any interesting puzzles, and just when you think the plot is about the begin the game just suddenly ends... I would love to know the budget for a game like this, but it is clearly not worth the asking price.

A funny satire from before one starts playing (check the voice options) through to the end. I hope there will be more, as I thoroughly enjoyed the writing and jokes. It is also a really nice touch when point-and-clicks expand to allow using the keyboard to move the character! Her Majesty's SPIFFING is a very charming but short adventure game. You're playing as Captain Frank Lee English, sent on a mission to locate and claim a new, inhabitable planet for Grat Britain and the Queen. Moving around is done with WASD controls while all interactive objects can be used or inspected via a contextual menu popping up by right-clicking (all interactive objects will also be highlighted). The puzzles are relatively easy to solve and mostly logical, the voice-acting is really…

Fun while it lasts, but very short with an abrupt ending. It appears to have never been truly finished and this may originally not have been intended to be the full game. Can't honestly recommend buying this for this price.

her majesty's spiffing is a 2-hour sci-fi point & click adventure. queen elizabeth 2 herself launches a spaceship at the beginning of the game because brexit means brexit and might as well leave the entire planet while they're at it. only with a small ship and crew for starters though. who knew big ben was just a disguise all these years? well, it was probably not erected as a missile silo back in 1859, but still. (and yes, I know big ben is the bell, not the whole building.) it's not only…

Other reviewers have noted that this game is quite short; I want to start this review by stressing that: This game is very short. A little over two hours, and that included getting stuck at several points. The game being short wouldn't be too bad a thing, if the puzzles were actually that engaging. Which... they are not. The ability to examine items up close and manipulate them in the inventory is a clever mechanic, and the few times it is used is when the puzzles are halfway interesting, but…

I gave this game a try on a whim, but really didn't leave with much. Firstly, if you read any review, it'll most likely complain about the length (which the developers clearly know). Depending on your speed of figuring things out, you can probably finish this game in under 2 hours easily. My gameplay time (as of this review) is 2.6 hours but that is with over 30 minutes of idle time and reloading some saves for achievements. Secondly, the majority of the humor wasn't really great to me. Other…

If you like predictable, cliched humour and very short games then it's easy to recommend. If you like a play-through time of more than 2 hours and imaginative dialogue then it's hard to recommend. I'm in the latter camp.

Her Majesty's SPIFFING reminds me of some of Telltale Games' earlier games, in that it's a relatively simple point & click game with puzzles that aren't overly complicated, and are fairly logical for the most part. The fact it's made by a British indie company comes across pretty strongly, as there's a lot of British humour in there (many stereotypes - a little casual xenophobia, an obsession with tea, that sort of thing!), and quite a few pop culture references to have a laugh at. Some of…

(Played on linux/nouveau/xbox pad, despite numerous graphic glitches.) A Pn'C that doesn't grasp the concept of Point n' Click. Its specifics: - Most pointlessly annoying control scheme, full of useless intermediate pressing and holding and such. These devs couldn't figure out how to use a joypad efficiently. Then they tried to make all fit into a 3-buttons mouse... - Fully voice acted, with uneven acting chops. - 3D. An old bad idea, without the pioneering excuse devs had 20 years ago. In…

I certainly like the visuals though the humor is quaint at best. Now it would be quite enough for me if there was a thorough adventure, but with two hours, I feel like I barely got a taste. For 20 euros that's just not enough, and it's rather annoying to have it smugly swept in your face by the writers. If there was about five times more content, I would have been quite satisfied. But this is just a demo marketed as a full product. Check Evil Days of Luckless John if you want to know what I…

I was torn on whether or not to recommend this game. It's not great but neither would I say it's bad. It's short and sweet, took me about 2 hours to finish. The puzzles are pretty straightforward with only the last one posing any kind of challenge. Unfortunately it's not really as funny as it thinks it is. I'm all for meta jokes, puns and dry humour but they mostly just fall flat. There's a lot of stereotyping of British and French people. The game acknowledges this and that's the humour…

Buy it if you like funny point-and-clicks. A well-built and well-written short Point-and-Click-ish adventure. ~3h for a sane and self-guided playthrough, and you can expect a couple puzzles to be sufficiently complicated to trigger the usual "WTF" moments. Maybe another hour for achievement hunters (if you follow a guide: they did not make it easy to 100% this thing, especially since there's a max of only 4 save slots and some early decisions will prevent late achievements). Brilliant little point & click game, had me chuckling all the way through. Great visuals and excellent voice acting coupled with plenty of poking gentle fun at the various nationalities (light hearted stereotypical racism based on the habits of those involved) made this a very enjoyable experience. A surprisingly well made and well written game. Great self-deprecating, ironic humor, taking the piss out of stereotypes of different (2) nations. Most puzzles were decent, though maybe a bit binary easy - while only a few were a bit absurd. Production quality seems high, no bugs. I definitely want to see a bigger game of this. Continuing after the "new arrival" at the end. Plenty of untapped stereotypoid behavior to access.

I love the classic, puzzle-solving point 'n' click gendre and this game is, thank the creators, filled with game/cult-related jokes and harmless british "racism". The game is very odd. It's a basic point and click adventure, with I think like 15 objects that can be interacted with. The jokes aren't funny, but the laugh track has to play after every single one. I think if it was put together a little bit differently, it could be a good subversion to the genre, but this just isn't that great.

That's also the biggest flaw, you cannot disable controller support through the options, and even though if they took a little bit more effort the keyboard shouldn't even be necessary, some parts you can use both mouse buttons for doing a task, other parts you need to use the keyboard to do the same type of tasks even though it…
