What people are saying
A challenging bullet-hell boss rush with mixed reactions on balance and value.
Many players praise the innovative time-as-health mechanic and creative boss fights, calling it "very enjoyable" and addictive. The controls are described as "smooth af" and the game offers replayability through daily challenges. [3][13][16][18]
However, critics highlight severe balancing issues, with difficulty spikes and some bosses feeling luck based. The game is also criticized for being too short and overpriced, with some calling it "very average" and noting poor hitbox detection. [1][14][17][23][24][25][31]

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game overall is pretty good, but I have one huge issue. And the huge issue is the balancing, Some boss phases are very easy but immediatly after that the difficulty gets cranked up 200% with patterns that are almost unmemorizable and projectiles that make the game feel more luck based than skill based. Another thing is that the abilities need reworking, Some of the abilities are overall weak and put you in more danger than you were previously. But congradulations to the devs, you guys did…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Introduction Godstrike is a twinstick bullet hell bosh rush roguelite arena shooter by OverPowered Team. It was previously released on Steam as Profane but taken down. It has been updated and released under its new name. I was already following the game as Profane and keeping an eye on it. When there was a demo contest I jumped on the opportunity to win a free game key. Control It can be played with a dual stick controller but personally I think it's best played with the mouse either in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Low budget Furi ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Innovative boss fights. Very enjoyable game! But, you need to train your reflexes and to prepare for a lot of deaths. Is not an easy game. It can be relaxing and enjoying but not easy :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool concept with time representing your heath. Boss fights are creative. If you like straight forward and challenging shooters, this is for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven't played too much yet but it feels great!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As much as I love boss rush games I can not recommend Godstrike. It is not horrible, and some people might enjoy it, but it is very average in every aspect and there is nothing really to be hooked at. Enemy design is mediocre. Game is kinda like Fury but all bosses in Fury were unique and memorable, I still remember them all very well after almost 4 years of playing. As for Godstrike – I played it just recently and already forgot how many bosses were there. You fight a giant worm, giant…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very interesting concept, and definitely fun at points (Sentiel and Cindeal being standouts), but disappointingly poorly built. Here's a bunch of problems and generally weird things I ran across in no particular order: - Hit boxes are inconsistent at best and always favor the boss hitting you or avoiding your attacks - Your hitbox feels like it stretches further away from your perspective than it looks like it should - Hurt boxes regularly get sent out before animations start - Very few attacks…

The player will face off against evil deities in order to lead the protagonist through the story and weed out the corruption that has poisoned the world. Talaal, the player-controlled hero, can be augmented with a huge variety of spells and passives. Abilities that create weapons that will automatically attack the boss the player is fighting, abilities that augment your natural shooting ability, ones…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have this game and I have played it a lot and I think it is a good game that you should buy. Thank you for reading friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I first saw this game I was stoked as I thought it would be a Furi successor. It just isn't very good unfortunately. Maybe there's something in it for leaderboard chasers, but the base game is way way too short. I think I beat all the bosses except for the final one in no more than 3 tries totaling about 50 minutes. The final boss is absolute shenanigans with stupid speed, single attacks that hit you up to 3 times, and attack patterns and random attacks that don't even seem to visually…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i enjoy bullet hell games. this game is a lot of fun for a short burst thanks to its fun game-play and down right evil bosses but feels like its missing something like maybe a small boost of the TIME BAR for getting rid of a health bar or maybe some smaller swarms of enemies. i'd love to see what this game could be with some updates to improve this game Pros -art style -shooting abilities are fun -bosses are well done and difficult (reminds me of god mode / Demon's souls) Cons -TIME BAR (your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just beat this game, Not too bad, really fun bullet hell with roguelite traits. The daily challenge mode seems pretty cool.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In terms of game design this game makes everything wrong a developer can make wrong: -The very first level (introduced as tutorial boss) is already somewhat difficult -The 3D side view makes it difficult to judge if an projectile or enemy will hit you. -Often you don't know if something hit you, because there is no feedback. -No checkpoints of any kind. Every time you die you have to start from the first phase of the boss. -Most bosses are faster than you and you are usually only a tiny bit…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game consists of 10 boss fights, each lasting a few minutes. Its design closely mirrors Furi; however, the game's primary focus is bullet hell + dual stick shooter. Bosses are designed to be played multiple times and I won't get into the time = life mechanic, which is fine but doesn't necessarily increase enjoyment of the game. With some more development time, this game could've been polished into something really nice. Unfortunately, with minimal patches since launch, we're left with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know what to say other than I don't care for it. The two bosses I faced are unforgiving and sporadic and the pure boss rush mode is not something I personally look for in a game. I love a good twin-stick shooter and I love a bullet hell; this game has pretty tight controls that feel good is those regards. However, the lack of basic enemies makes the bombardment of boss fights feel tedious rather than rewarding.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1st impression very tough twin stick shooter fun! 2nd session, 2nd impression... game is good not great. The bosses are fine enough, but the skills you unlock are OP. The gameplay is unbalanced, and I feel like I'm cheesing these bosses rather than learning how to be really goo. I've beat all the bosses but the final one. Maybe if I look into the achievements and other modes there will be more surprises. Game is fine if you like a decent twin stick shooter; I like that the fluff is removed…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very recommended game for those who like this genre. Gameplay gets very addictive :p
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A challenging game that you can play for hours and hours trying to perfect every boss. The mechanic of the time is pretty good and gives a nice turn for the bullet hell genre. I can't recommend it enough
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10 boss battles, that is all the content that exists in this game. They make up for it by making it brutally difficult. pretty much zero fun to be found with this game. shots also aren't fired from the center of your character, which makes lining up shots feel odd.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I went back and forth thinking if Godstrike is recommendation worthy. This is a nieche title. The game is short and quite difficult. In short, Godstrike is a boss rush game leaning heavily into bullet hell territory. It offers some replayability with it's Challenge mode based around roguelike mechanics and daily challenges. The story is negligible. Unfortunately there are also some problems with camera work which might frustrate some players. Graphics and music are not impressive, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quick Score: 3/5 Notes: The isometric 3d perspective makes it so that its sometimes hard to tell exactly where you are and where the bullets are because you are hovering slightly above the ground at all times. The difficulty curve of the game is pretty bad, the game is very easy except for the final 2 bosses, especially the final boss. This severely hurts the replayability of the game and makes the "challenge runs" pretty boring most of the time because the first 3-4 bosses are always…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is bad. Abilities need to be reworked. Story is bland and way too easy. Challenge and Arena mode are both just arbitrary difficulties with no rewards.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little short bullet hell boss rush game. Got it in a promo at a much lower price. 15$ might feel a bit much for a game I finished in 2h.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/10 10 boss fights that when you win last about 3 minutes each for 15$ not even 1$ per boss fight
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked it a lot! I wasn't so sure about the time mechanic as life and currency, but I think it gives the game a good twist The controls are smooth af, and each boss is very different to the others, it's fun to see the new ones :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nothing fun in this game, you want to study pattern? good luck! the giant laser can spawn anywhere!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bullet hell with non existent music or anything to make the game interesting.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The tutorial was unbearable. Aiming is atrocious. Your "dodge" is a spell that need to be refilled by finding mana as it spits around the stage. I was annoyed in 20 minutes... I can't imagine playing this whole game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What on earth were you thinking making a shooting game without a reticle?!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →save yourself the agony and dont buy godstrike. its so incredibly difficult and frustrating to the point that the game is basically never fun to play. and for what the game actually provides, its ridiculously overpriced. i normally like to start out with the positives of the game im reviewing. and honestly, i really dont have much to say. the best thing i can say is that the designs of the bosses and arenas are nice. and thats honestly depressing. so, what exactly makes the game so awful?…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Godstrike is yet another of literally hundreds 2D retro top-down shooter/brawlers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one is 3D rendered at least, but with as little effort as possible, with quasi-minimalist 3D low poly "art" (chosen purely for the aesthetic and not at all because doing the graphics properly is hard!). So what about the gameplay? First up there's some degree of polish here, this isn't exactly shovelware (but close). Nice…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game looks incredible. could not for the life of me get past the first enemy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →lol wtf is this ?? 4 min to kill 3 phases of a boss ? no way that is possible.. would be a good game if that stupid timer was not in the game!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I streamed this game on twitch the moment it became available. From the start, I was having a ton of fun! The life/time mechanic is awesome and leads to some extremely intense victories! The bosses each have their own mechanics and patterns, and they all felt different from fight to fight. The first four bosses were defeated with 0:00 on the clock which means you can't be hit again or you'll die, so this definitely led to some heart pounding moments! There are different abilities you can use to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was lucky enough to play this game every time it had an open beta and I'm so happy to finally have it in my hands. It's beautiful and challenging game that will test your skills to the limit. It has a surprisingly ammount of replayability, so once you are done with the story mode (if you actually manage to beat it) you are definitely not done with the game. Each boss feels very unique in their own arenas, with a very strong personality. Overall, is does everything it promises and even a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game got rid of all the trash mobs bs and get straight to the point, the boss fights. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very entertaining and fast paced. Love the colours, love the explosions and love the time mechanic! It really puts you on the edge of your seat when the time runs out and you get your last chance in black and white.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing visuals! Bosses are tough, but what can you expect from a bullet hell? I think this is a very nice pick.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Slick, funny and DIFFICULT. I'm not so used to bullet hells but this one seems finely designed to have a achievable curve... if you dare to keep on it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring and repetitive. Beat a boss, get a power up you may/may not want. Rinse and repeat over and over.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't care for it. I've played cuphead and a few other bullet hellish type games but this game felt kinda unforgiving in the tutorial but also not fun enough to keep trying. Like i would melt the boss first and second phase and then run out of time by the third phase. idk just wasnt interesting enough to keep melting the first two phases just to die in the third and wasnt worth it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having thousands of hours in ROTMG over multiple accounts may or may not have contributed to me beating the game in an hour and a half...lol i like this game honestly Boss's are unique and fun to fight also its a nice brake from realm too. I look forward to future content for this game IF that day Should come.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels so challenging for the fans of the genre but is also a nice starting point for less experienced people. Also, has some features that make replaying the game worthy like: Daily runs, the challenge mode and the global and friends ladder! To sum up, the game is very fun and attractive!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not a really bad game, It's sometimes fun, however it has a huge issue with gameplay, That being the fact that some bosses are extremely hard and some patterns don't even seem fair/fun. The Story is kinda meh, the gameplay is a fun bullet hell that sometimes seems unfair and it's not really my style. not bad but not really that good either. Something sad about this game is the lack of any community, i need at least some people to see some fun stuff, but that's not on the devs as they…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game, played through story mode tonight in a single session, was hooked the whole way. The game is just a boss rush with 11 bosses, but each fight is so unique from the arena to the color palette, to the sounds and soundtrack, it's all fresh and exciting. Every fight felt very unique and rewarding to keep progressing in. Absolutely a blast and regardless of the fact that I got this for free, I would absolutely be happy having paid full price for this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game feels very fluid and polished. It can be challenging if you are new to the genre, however it's fun to progress and not frustrating. The time as a currency twist feels pretty cool and very impactful. All in all a fun game experience!

unlabelledView post →The game is difficult, the mechanics are boring (controls and bosses) and there is no story. I have NO reason to come back to it and you have NO reason to spend your money on this rather than on ANOTHER game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a very good game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun bullet hell, make sure to pick this game up on promo though, I feel it's a bit overpriced for what it is
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are only boxes to fight in this game. This game was right up my ally. It is really enjoyable but not filled out enough. I wish it had different characters to choose from with different attacks. I could not stand not beating this game with I started. I got it on sale and am very happy with my purchase. Fun little bullet hell boss only game. Buy and enjoy if you are thinking about it and it has a good sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Full price? No Good sale? Yes Decent bullet hell / boss rush / twin stick shooter. Feels kinda unfair and difficult first but gets easier once you unlock stuff and learn the games quirks. Took me less than 5 hours to complete the story and I wouldn't want to pay the full price for that amount of content. I decided to recommend the game because it's currently in -67% sale and costs what I think is fair.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →playing on steam deck. Game to hard, skill issue.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game makes you think you are going to play something like Hades or Nier automata, but instead is more of a souls game. The bullet hell itself is not bad, and challenging is good, but even the tutorial has you to face a boss that has 3 levels; and you are given very little in terms of skills, beside a dodge/shift that you can only use if you have enough mana. Maybe people out there like these games and like to suffer, I prefer to enjoy good games, and this sadly is not one. If you want…
