What people are saying
Mostly positive, but some find it shallow, easy, or repetitive.
Many players praise F1 Manager 2024 as the best and most complete entry in the series, highlighting its deep systems, authentic broadcast feel, and the new Create-A-Team mode. One player calls it the definitive F1 management sim as of its release — deep, methodical and rewarding. Others enjoy the relaxing, immersive experience and the ability to play one-handed. [6][16][20][5]
However, several critics argue the game is style over substance, with a predetermined race simulation that feels like an illusion. One player states "the simulation is entirely an illusion" and another says "it's more style over substance." Others find it too easy, repetitive after a season or two, and note that the physics can be unrealistic. [3][23][35][11][32]

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →F1 Manager 2024 F1 Manager is a fine game but it's more style over substance. And while I'm enjoying my time with it, ultimately I'd rather play the 10 year old Motorsport Manager than this game. Read on to find out why. F1 Manager 2024 (F1 MGR) is a game in which you build your race car, build and maintain your facilities, train your staff, plan your race day strategies and hope everything goes your way. In the world of F1, there are definitely haves and have nots, so taking a smaller (or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game looks good, especially for a first season. However, it quickly becomes boring — at least for me. Most of the time, you're doing the same few tasks between races, and the races themselves are exactly the same. During the first season, it's enjoyable to look forward to improving your car, but then you start juggling upgrades for both this year's car and next year's. The process is pretty much the same for both — mainly managing time and manpower. The scouting and contracts seem…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →F1 racing game, but your cars and drivers are made of cement. Game length Completing single season manually takes around twenty hours. Pros VROOMMM. Graphics. Okeish music. Cons This game is ridiculously easy. I played on the highest difficulty setting, starting with the worst possible team. By the third season, I managed to crush the competition, gaining a full lap lead over the second placed team on some tracks. You can't design your own engine,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10. This game is always going to have a special place in my memory because I basically lived in it during the first month of my son’s life—I spent so many early mornings just sitting there holding him tight to keep him asleep with one arm while managing the team with the other, which was actually super convenient since you can easily play one-handed. As someone who's been obsessed with F1 since I was 6, it hooked me immediately, though I have to admit that by season 3 I became such a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If, like me, you've played the previous versions, it is not really different. It is soooo realistic, it is as boring as watching F1. The new customised team doesn't change much, the game mechanics are as useless as before, you will end up speeding up non-stop to 16x and only change tire strategy. Doing FP1,2,3 is only taking you 30 mins to give a tweek to this same slidebar puzzle game. Then repeat... and if you are lucky, you will spend 30mins developing parts and later receive an Email…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →F1 Manager 2024 is the definitive F1 management sim as of its release — deep, methodical and rewarding for players who enjoy systems design, resource allocation and high-stakes decision making. It’s best described as a robust evolutionary step rather than a radical reinvention: if you loved the 2023 entry you’ll find more depth and meaningful additions (notably Create-A-Team and expanded customisation), and if you’re new to the series it’s an accessible—albeit complex—gateway into motorsport…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[I PLAYED THE GAME CROSS PLATTFORMS AND HAVE RESONABLY MORE HOURS] I bought F1 Manager 2024 expecting a calm and calculated Formula 1 management experience. Instead, I became a full-time therapist for my drivers, an accountant fighting for survival under the cost cap, and a strategist desperately praying for a safety car on Lap 32. And somehow, it’s one of the most addictive management games I’ve played in years. The new Create A Team mode is fantastic and finally makes the series feel…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playing this game (watch in game race) is more entertain than watching 2026 season , No super clipping BS With discounted price highly recommended !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, but it becomes kinda redundant after a season or two. but afterall, there are no other games like this, so this is what we get.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best if you want to highlight how much the game has grown and why it’s the best in the series. Recommended The most complete F1 management sim to date. If you were waiting for this game to be "fixed" before buying, 2026 is the time. After a year of updates, the "Create A Team" mode is finally as deep as we wanted it to be. You’re no longer just picking a livery; you’re managing engine suppliers, affiliate drivers, and a brand-new Mentality System that actually makes your staff feel like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3 years and still can't fix other cars not getting out of the way during qualifying. Something that plagued the first game, still blatantly aware 3 years later. It's like they never even played their game one time. If you need legit F1 licensing with teams and tracks with the pretty graphics then okay, play this and have the time of your life. If you want an actual in depth managerial game in a racing universe, play Motorsport Manager.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's the best racing manager game out there, it is basically a real-world version of Motorsport Manager, pretty much the same game, just with fancier graphics, real world drivers and teams and real world tracks. But, it isn't difficult, it isn't even really simulating anything, it is predetermined - let me explain, if you save a game before race start, and run the race, things that happen, were determined before you pressed start race, you can change them by changing how your drivers drive…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly Recommended (180+ Hours Played) I've poured over 180 hours into F1 Manager 2024, and it is, without a doubt, the best and most complete entry in the series. While it’s bittersweet to know that Frontier won't be continuing the franchise, this game stands as a fitting—if tragic—high point and a must-have for any management sim enthusiast, especially those who crave F1 immersion. The core simulation and management loop is utterly addictive. This year's inclusion of Create A Team (CAT)…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →F1 Manager 24 is the culmination of the F1 Manager series and all the improvements made in the previous games. Overall, I genuinely think that at this point it is the best racing management game out there. This game also introduces a great new My Team mode that finally makes the career mode feel truly unique. It really is a big step up from the only previous title I played, F1 Manager 22. The game is still incredibly detailed. The way teams work and how car development is handled is now much…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been playing this game for 100 Hours on steam and for over 400 hours on xbox. In my opinion this is the best F1 game you can get and it is well worth its price. The game is very good even without mods but there are some issues regarding the progression in the vanilla game as it gets way too easy after 2025 even on hard mode, i had do develop the car worse on purpose. Anyways i had great fun. If you decide to mod the game, using the data base editor is a must as you can make the ai much…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game play loop. A little easy for me, but I have a lot of experience in sim and management games. Longevity is improved by mods, and lots of opportunity to forge your own way with any team.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game looks stunning, features the real grids, and nails the authentic TV broadcast feel. It easily claims the crown of the best modern racing manager game. But beneath that beautiful surface? The simulation is entirely an illusion. The "Predetermined" Racing SeedYou quickly realize that nothing happening on track is truly dynamic. If your driver crashes on lap 14, you can reload your pre-race save file as many times as you want—if you run the exact same pace modes, they will crash on lap…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a great game with lots of hours of fun to be had, shame Frontier decided against expanding the series, multiplayer would give this game a 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely addicted to the game! so many features and cutscenes, although i really hope we get a f1 manager 26 or 25.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and immersive. Not arcade like but also not too super in depth nor a steep learning curve. It stays technical while offering endless playability. Only downsides are it's a little vague in letting you know certain strategies and some things like tire temperature I'm sure have actual effects towards gameplay but it's hard to know exactly what they are and how much of it you can ignore. Hard mode is definitely hard mode. Would absolutely recommend for hard core race fans like myself. Newer…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like sim games and management games you'll enjoy this. If you like the idea of running a f1 team you'll enjoy this. If you want to race you will NOT enjoy this. I bought it for 90% off or something crazy - its definitely worth what I paid. Seems like a big improvement over '22 so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I first bought this, I thought it was great, with the CGI matching the famous people to their animations. But that's about it. The races are rigged for certain performances. I've saved & restarted again & again... the competition has all riders with the same result - down to the thousandth of a second - and it's shameful that they do this to the player as well. Research well, and they shut down your factory. Design well, and the only financial course of action is to lay them off. It's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really Good game which a little changed Motorsport manager on time for me. Actually, we doesn't have enough manager games with motorsport topics on PC. So, it's worth appreciating what we have
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Given this seems to be the end of the line for this series, this is for the sure the best its ever been... and, most likely, the way it should've been from the first entry. The graphics aren't particularly impressive, no matter what settings you set, but the parts that you'll care about, particularly the cars, look amazing. The custom team feature more or less makes this game for me- you truly feel like you're in charge of your own legacy when you're not just stapling yourself into an existing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The F1 manager series is the perfect example of how NOT to make games. The first game was a decent start but the cracks immediately began to show, apart from it being a near blatant copy of motorsport manager but with an F1 skin there were so many issues with it. No red flags, no lapping under SC, ridiculously easy, awful wheel to wheel racing, overtakes that were blatantly decided through RNG and not actual car stats. Practice sessions that were quite literally pointless. There's plenty more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice game. A must-have title for F1 fans.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is fun but my PC keeps crashing in the menus. Got a green screen too that made me reinstall in graphics card drivers.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such an amazing game. The details are insane and I love how the game sucks you in and the next thing you know you have spent half a day playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The physics of the cars are a bit wacky but other than that i do enjoy this game, it really is sad that there wont be a new one, because i would love to see where they would have taken the series
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the game, it shows how difficult it is to be a Formula 1 team manager and the things that can happen if you aren't careful, the cars just drive so unrealistic-ly but the cameras that they give for every driver look very cool.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I guess, F1 Manager isn't my cup of tea
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, lots of fun, would recommend to everyone interested in F1, does get a bit repetitve over time but a few weeks later its like a new game again, i do wish that they add a RD automatic management feature as sometimes you just want to manage races and not the entire car building and design process
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →best game ever, love how i can make everyone get punctures every lap and i love pérez
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did get this game a few days ago for under 8 quid and I love it. I am into my F1 but management games never float my boat. However after watching the Brazilian GP I did buy this game. It's as simple or complicated as you want it to be. I've only run two races in the season so far but I am so impressed. You can take control of a race, have simple input or more complicated input that will make a huge difference to the race. I have the brain of a sieve but I can put this game down for a month or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this type of managing racer than manual driving f1 game (driving like going same round for 53 time i will easily pass out or microsleep XD)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is good, i suggested adjusting the car movement in slow sections in each track. Thank you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible quality. Starting from the first screen where decals can't be properly selected and ending this ugly people animations and graphics from prehistoric era.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thank God they stopped making these games. Terrible.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amusing for a short while. Pro: - all the official names etc. - playing as a team manager - graphics are reasonable con: - repetative - Terrible programming (never had a game that managed to shut down my entire computer) - Information in the game isn't shared across different screens/departments. -I promoted a spare driver to be my 2nd driver. The driver screen kept notifying me that his contract was ending..... -Also the driver was discontent because of his…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR - A compelling and engaging management game from the people who know management games. Wonderfully geeky F1 management, with exciting real-time races and choices that matter. Highly recommended! As someone who dubs many sports management games as nothing more than an accurate simulation of a slightly exciting Excel spreadsheet, F1 Manager 2024 has changed my mind and has been a solid, engaging experience where choices have genuine weight and meaning, while some minor issues do crop up…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely brilliant game please make another one? hours and hours of fun on a visually superb game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was a blast to 100%, I didn't think much of it at first but you really get immersed in your own F1 season and you really start to care for your team as if they were real. Theirs a good mix of excitement when your team finally gets those first points in the constructors and lows were those are the only points you ever score that season. All in all an amazing adventure throughout the journey of this game that I highly recommend to anyone that loves strategy. 8/10 - The Completionist
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →im glad i can make my own drivers to be as dangerous as possible but can we have a crashgate option on tactics this isnt just a game of races its about sports racism
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has many flaws but there isn't a better replacement so...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my top 10 games OAT
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a great game, but we need a steam workshop. Still an 8.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game, i hope theres another upcoming version of it in the future
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend F1 Manager 2024 for those who enjoy a simplified racing sim game. The base game offers tons of replay value with interesting driver transfers and team performance changes. However, the game is truly enhanced by the modding side of things. Using the f1 manager database editor allows for the player to change everything they want to their save file. Drivers, Teams. car performance, race calendar, etc etc.
