60 of 96 · most liked firstI love this game, I really do, but if you are going to buy it get a disk from Ebay. There is alot of content missing from this version of the game, the contols are odd and this has to be the buggiest version I have ever seen. I encourage you to buy this game and the other two of the series, but do yourself a favor and pay just a little bit more for the disk, this version is not worth the money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great example, how you can mess up a great game. Do yourself a favor and dont buy this ipad port version. Like i've already written: Its quite a downgrade of the original. Half of the puzzles are missing, the graphics are worse, some bad translations, books/notes cant be read, videos are missing, sounds are different and missing, music is missing and the game maybe CANT EVEN BE COMPLETED because of bugs! There is even a loophole in the game. Dont get me wrong, its still a decent…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't get this game. It seems like someone pirated it and changed a lot of stuff. Different icon, missing object for the story, and the graphic is different compare to the one's they're showing. You figure steam would fix it up and sell it but nope seems like they just destroyed it and sell it to the point where you'd think they're desperate for money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It makes my heart bleed to write a negative review for a game about the vampire count himself, but it's just... broken. No, not "broken". It's obviously half-assed and they didn't even try to cover it up. - There's a "Load" option in the menu, but the "Save" option is nowhere to be found (keep in mind, you can actually die in this game). - The graphic looks oddly "pixelated", like when you resize a small photo to make a wallpaper. - It's possible to get stuck if you perform some actions in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly this game, just like Dracula Ressurection (the 1st game in the series) is not the full game but a rather dull iphone/ipade version with lots of motion video missing as well as broken mechanics. Played it for about 15 mins and could'nt get the oil can to continue. 1/10 Do not buy this version, if you want to play the correct full pc game that is actually fun to play head over to gog they have it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →These version are horrible....dumbed down to the extreme....dont' buy the steam version...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ridiculously buggy to the point where you can't complete the game. Do not recommend and read reviews before buying unlike me!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All the puzzles are missing from this game. I'm not sure why this steam version is different than the regular game but it's no good without the puzzles.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bit of bugs, and seems that this is a reduced version of the original CD game. Still, I had a great time playing it. Its as interesting as the first part, but more challenging. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game in the hopes of the nostalgia, however this cut mess of a game just doesn't live up to it's former self. I do not recommend Steams version of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd game, I'm sorry to say. GOG have the the originals, so much better, and so much more worth your money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Here's something WILD I just learned about. If you finish Castlevania II: Simon's Quest Japanese version on the FDS (Dracula 2: Noroi No Fuuin) on in-game day 69, you get this screen. This was removed for the NES release.
unlabelledView post →This steam version of my beloved game from childhood is absolutely terrible. It is full of bugs , books can not be read , graphics is worse than original version and so on. Do not buy it , it is a waste of your money. I am disappointed :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Avoid this game at all costs - it is a sloppy port of a sloppy port. Broken and near unplayable with the majority of the original content removed. The fact that this remains on sale is tantamount to fraud.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've written almost the same review for "Dracula: The Resurrection", because the problems are the same. As many others said, this is a ported version from the iOS version which was originally ported from the PC version. Yes, this is a port of a port. The quality is worse than the original PC version, game save funcion/button doesn't work, a complete disaster. On the other side, the original PC version is actually a great game. Why didn't Microids just publish that version? I'm glad I only…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Same as with Dracula 1: get the actual game from gog instead. This is a butchered mobile port. If you, for whatever reason, are interested in this version, let's make this quick: Dracula 2 is a little better than the first game with more variety and not relying on finding hidden hotspots that much and it also helps you by keeping you stuck in areas until you found all you'll need later. It doesn't make much sense, but it prevents unnecessary running around. That being said, just like the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dumbed down port of the original Cutscenes are missing Play the GOG version instead
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Missing pazzles, Missing Scenes, Steam Edition of the Game is vomit of gaming community The Retail Edition is very good
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When i got the game on steam i was really excited! Then i played it... Well, lets just say i am huge disappointed. 1st i wanted to tell everyone if you are interested in the story, plz buy the game on cd NOT STEAM! The cd version is a lot more better. CD version= NO HELP, MORE PUZZLES, BETTER INVENTORY SYSTEM, NO BUGS, NO MISSING SOUNDS. The steam version you get this dumb help thing which literally tells you everywhere/everything you can get. Takes away almost 70% of the puzzles along with…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still recommending it in ways I do not recommend. Part 1 (Dracula: Resurrection) was not that bad; if you've never tried the game and want a less of puzzles and more of plot experience, I could hesitantly recommend it. Many players years ago complained about the three female vampires cut scene (ending) not being there. However, currently it's there. Average playtime would be ~2.5 hrs for it. Now let's talk about Part 2 (Dracula 2: The Last Sanctuary) - The first part where people got…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm going to write almost the same review I published for the first game of the series: this "bad" review is only for the Steam version of the game. A lot of content has been cut off (it is even worst than in the first opus) and all the interesting puzzles just solve themselves without any indication, which sometimes makes it difficult to understand what's happening or what needs to be done if you don't already know the plot. Exploration has also been simplified, in a brainless and boring way,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →IF YOU ARE STUCK ON THIS GAME: Don't follow a PS1 walkthrough, this game version is a phone game port - it is completable, but you'll need to find another way around it. I cleared this version in just over two hours, so it's certainly doable. I'll get to my negative review in a bit, first some good points about the game need to be said. - Great classic p+c - Classic puzzle completion style - Longer playtime than the first game, 2-3 hours. - Satisfying storyline - Introduction of 'timed'…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Relive this Sony PS1 classic, available now for PC. This is second in the Dracula series. You play once again as Jonathan Harker, on a mission to destroy the Count, once and for all. [url=www.gamers-haven.org/forum]Gamers-Haven
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The original from Dream Catcher is way better. This version is missing all the puzzles making it to easy and no challenge. 2 out of 5.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(Do not play steam version, it's literally broken on the second puzzle or so with a key item missing, Just get it on GoG) 4.1 (non steam) Worse than the first overall but still a little charming.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Good sequel of the "Dracula the Resurrection". New gameplay feature such as an item combination and more prolonged story line fits this game perfectly. Differently a worthy game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, I have my limits in terms of what is acceptable in games like this. Honestly I can get by some rough and janky low budget games as long as there is something of worth that I can get out of my experience. Dracula 2:The Last Sanctuary has the many problems that Dracula 1 had and even more! I wanted to give it a go despite the negative reviews for this series because I like other Microids titles and the Dracula mythos. But after a rough first impression completing the first game, I jumped…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dracula 2 is an honest continuation of the first game. I say so because of the way the story proceeds. In the first game, you are restricted to the surroundings of the inn and the castle (this is not, necessarily, a bad thing), in Dracula 2 new scenarios and characters are presented, but we revisit the castle, and new places inside it. This one is more extensive than the other, but in a cool way, it does not make the game play boring or stuck. The texts and dialogues show more about the lore of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got half way through the game and needed to shoot a character named Bill but I am unable to. The game will not let me so therefore, i will not be able to finish it! I want my money back but I do not know how to get it either.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dont' buy this game! It's not the full version! I played it for a few hours but I stopped as soon as I realised that there was something wrong: I played this game when I was a child and I remember a lot of puzzles that aren't included in this version of the game. If you watch the trailer and other gameplay you'll find that this version is an abridged one. Not recommended!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well I just finished playing. The costent freezing was annoying, but just go to windows, close the game in the bottom tray and hit play and continue. It does put you back right where you left off. the puzzles were challenging, and sometimes I had to go to the walkthrough. I have learned this is very chopped up from the DVD version (according to the walkthroughs I read). But having not played those versions, I liked it and hey give it a try. Now off to Dracula 3.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The version of this game I got was broken to the point of being unplayable. There was one instance where there was no point-and-click feature available to me (which, as a point-and-click adventure game renders it impossible to play). Not only was I unable to progress any further, but the quality of the graphics is incredibly bad compared to the first game and compared to videos of this game I watched on Steam before purchasing it. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. You're giving someone money to give you a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →longer than part 1 :) not too bad either
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shame, it's not original but a minimal version
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lot of bugs. Awful and talent less "remastering". A lot of puzzle are cut, it's impossible to walk through because of bugs. At the same time you can randomly skip puzzles due to bugs. -10 at scale form 0 to 10.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now that years latter I figured out that the gun shooing mechanic at the beginning of the game is not a bug, rather not the same as PS1 where you need to shoot the bat creature. Completed the game and still disappointed still as this PC release is a much more stripped downs version of the PS1 release for whatever reason. But I love the series and this style of game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is really cool! I've played it before! I miss the puzzles, there weren't any hard puzzles as I remember them, but only straight forward. Also you know where to click. I hate the drag and look around view. I don't know why you made the game so easy. I remember it being hard as you need to hover the mouse cursor everywhere on the screen to see if it there is something to do. I really enjoy playing the game, but I miss the old one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought the game with the bundle that has all the Dracula games mostly because I had the first on the ps1, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is a half finished pile of ♥♥♥♥♥ filled with bugs and glitches where I cant even get through the first level just because I cant get the damn oil can, I hate to say this but just get a pirated version of the game or just buy the original cd if possible.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I came back to playing this game since I remember the nostalgia on the Playstation 1 version.. If you are looking to play a game out of puzzle challenges.. this is not the version you are looking for.. It is simplistic.. It is partially easy though some parts are not very obvious where in the PS1 version had different kinds of cursors to indicate that you have picked up but with this one it doesn't.. Plus you can't read the books you picked up, the most hardest of mind bending puzzles had…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as great as I expected. They cut out a lot of content from the original game, making it too easy to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Exactly the same point and click puzzle adventure like Dracula 1 with bad quality backgrounds...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, terrible port. Can't believe Valve didn't even bother to give us the good version.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is freaking terrible. Hell I wouldn't even call it a game. Whoever made this game needs to go work at Burger King.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a shame After 10 min of playing I cant pick up any objects anymore also NO refund ... than I have try on GOG where works perfect.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dracula 2: The Last Sanctuary is a dark, atmospheric continuation of Microids’ gothic adventure series, firmly rooted in the traditions of late-1990s and early-2000s point-and-click design. Developed and published by Microids, the game serves as a direct sequel to Dracula: Resurrection, expanding its moody interpretation of Bram Stoker’s universe while doubling down on environmental storytelling, puzzle-driven progression, and a slow-burn sense of dread. It is a title that prioritizes…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a casual gamer and I normally really enjoy these kinds of games. I purchased this because steam had a promotion going on for the first three Dracula games for $5. I'm so glad I only paid that much because on my mac this game was unplayable. Supposedly there are files I can get off the internet to make it work for me but I honestly don't want to bother and I dislike downloading content when I'm not quite sure what is in it, so I'll pass. I had about ten minutes of enjoyable game play before…

The thought of the game popped into my head as I was listening to the Myst soundtrack and then straight to “oh yeah, vampire titties”

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This port is not working on PC or SD , I've tried it both ways. It's a point and click game. However, you cannot access items, oil can, telescope and you get stuck collecting the nail upstairs. I do no recommend this port of the game as it currently exists at the time of this review.
