negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I read a lot of reviews on Disciples III. A lot were bad however there was a lot of positive as well so I took a chance because I loved Disciples 2 so much. Well let me be another that is in the bad review camp. I also read that D3-Resurrection was the game that should of been released in the first place. They said they fixed most of the bugs. If that is true then I would hate to play the hot mess that was before this one because there is still tons of bugs. Some of those same reviews…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bugs, bugs, bugs everywhere. The basics of the game are good, but the overwhelming flow of bugs keep the fun out of reach. The game stile of this 3rd chapter of the series has changed a lot, you may enjoy, you may not; but the realy is... it doesnt matter. Sooooo many and anoying bugs can make you hate the game. For real.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION. Buy "Disciples III: Reincarnation" instead. http://store.steampowered.com/app/10270/Disciples_III_Reincarnation/
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*edit for more details to help people make decisions* At one point, kalypso changed the login procedure associated with this game where we suddenly had to register on their sites to actually play the game. At that point, i entered my key and managed to play a few hours. Those hours were not incredibly fun. The strategy would boil down in having werewolves as soon as possible because all the melee creatures were unable to touch them making most fights trivial. The features they had changed from…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall if you enjoyed Renaissance and don't have Reincarnation, it might be worth having this on sale. Otherwise, just get Reincarnation. +Continues story from III Renaissance +Same graphics/gameplay, familiar and enjoyable if you enjoyed Renaissance +New race to play as the Undead +Length of story comparable to Renaissance -Extra DRM: Kalypso account required -Similar problems to Renaissance -Esc key for menu and right-click info only work intermittently -No subtitles in voiced cutscenes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disciples III: Resurrection – a grand sequel of the series! This is a new landmark in the history of Nevendaar, when a new race ascends to power – the ruthless and merciless Undead Hordes. It is the story of selfless love and unfading glory. Heroes of the past, who had lost their lives, but not their sentience, are exacting their revenge in the name of Mortis, the Goddess of Death. This Disciples 3 game is dedicated to a new race – the Undead Hordes. It was the mostly anticipated race among…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes, I can see that the bad reviews were right... clearly flawed game mechanics, some ugly bugs, steep learning curve and a punishing xp grind. I'm just gonna push for another 2000-ish xp so I can evolve my wyvern to the next tier of pokemon or whatever, then I'm done. Aw yeah, eat my dracolich you paladin *****, can't use your stupid cover points now, can you? Now how much xp do I need to upgrade my skeleton to max tier? 10,000!?! Hmm.. I really should... get some fresh air today... *click*…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is literally not even finished and they want you to sign up with your email to Kalypso and it states they can use your data for whatever they want. for a game that is dead and was never finished. WHY!!. update. i cant even adjust settings because the game just crashes. the maps are not even finished and they make no sense. i mean there literally half maps with no textures. i just wish i could have played this earlier so i could get a refund
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good looking trash.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible. This is a good exercise in how to not make a game. It barely works, it's not fun to play, and there's tons of logical failures; they assume you understand the interface and don't tell you that you need to right click to get to a lot of the options.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buggy Mess, This doesn't feel like an alpha release, in about 10 minutes the text and textures start to glitch for no apparent reason. Castle visuals change with broken textures , then you fire a spell and a game crashes. And it happens every time. Tried compatibility and different settings - no use. Disgrace how they even dare charge money for this and demand to register with their crappy Kalypso services and sell your data.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A big delusion for a fan of Disciples II...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Leader can't do anything 1st round? Casters that don't work 1st round, then work every other 1? Is this some kind of cruel joke? My 1st lvl demon party gets TPK'd by 2 wolves. Twice. The bigger wolf can kill anyone in the party with 1 crit. Another map the new party is surrounded by unbeatable death stacks, except the 1 beast creature that poisons with every attack & also TPK's the party in spite of my caster being on a boost point. The aforementioned leader/caster problem didn't help. That's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is a classic, there's no need to review. What I'm here to talk about is the the extraordinary technical assistance I received from Kalypso, the company that published the game. I discovered they had a Facebook page and I messaged them. They responded immediately and working on their end they had the game running almost immediately. I have never witnessed in my 32 years of computer gaming a company as responsive, efficient and knowledgeable. Apparently it was something to do with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Textures constantly go missing and you have to restart it. The game crashes very often, very frustrating. Unbalanced and unplayable!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A part of the reason to play this series is the rich lore and back stories. I understand many modern gamers being disappointed with the heavy graphics load for not much performance. Inherently, action style games feel more competitive. But the gameplay and unwinding story with clever combatants organizations, arranged to dissect your weaker heroes until one can learn softening techniques and creature dynamics, are a good puzzle system. It suites my style of gameplay and occasional 30 minute…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heros of Might and Magic. But worse. If you want a single player experience for Heros of Might and Magic, play King's Bounty. Otherwise just play Heros of Might and Magic. Bag graphics, terrible voice acting, and simply out dated. This game is not worth the bandwith it is downloaded on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like all the other reviews say, get the other one. tbh though just play disciples 2, don't play this trash period. They butchered the series.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bugs in the first mission of campaign. Can't even start turn 1. Terribly unbalanced. Cheating levels of units. Cool concept. Couldn't have been a worse production. 0/5 stars
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unless you loved the origonal don't buy it. It adds a new faction and a new campagin but the leveling system is so slow you need to go though half the map before they level once... which means a lot of time spent running back and forth healing your troops. It adds to the story, revamps some misc units, and adds some new ones but It's just not worth it. Other than the experience thing it is still a good, working, game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as good as disciples II but I would still recommend it for any disciples fan. I think the game was made a little dummer this time but the graphics are better. Story line will put you to sleep. Every map features a lot of objectives. Huge maps to explore. more advanced combat from the one we saw in disciples 2. Here both parties actually can move around during fight which is both good and bad. If a melee unit gets close to your ranged unit it will take heavy damage. If you take out enemy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game itself is great and the undead fraction really adds to it HOWEVER if you cant deal with the constant crashing, disappearing textures, overlapping HUDS and extremely slow gameplay because of it then i do nt recommend this game as if the 4 HOURS i played it i have only reached the MIDDLE of the FIRST mission in the whole game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This piece of ♥♥♥♥ game has the nerve to require you to create an account on their piece of ♥♥♥♥ website in order to play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. And you have to use a real email cause it requires you to activate the account. My god, who tf made this? How completely disconnected from the industry you operate in do you have to be to make a game, put it on steam, require that your ♥♥♥♥ launcher be installed, the cd key put it, an account be created, then activated, all before you have one second of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this and Disciples 3 Renaissance off Humblebundle for 3 euro. I feel i paid too much for it. Game is split into 3 race campaign in Renaissance and this attrocity where you get to play only as the Undead. (Speaking from a campaign POV) Lack luster, difficulty ramps up like Dark Soul on steroids. Doesn't add anything new (or much) from Disciples 2. Uninstalled on the spot. At least Renaissance has achievements.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buyers beware!!! It requires another login page for Kalypso Launcher to play and when I enters my key; it says "Your Product Key is already in Use" I've tried to create new account even use "forgot password" feature, and it's not working Total rip-off; plain and simple.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heyyo, after how much fun Disciples 2 was? This game takes a dump on it. avoid this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I lot of people seem to be having difficulty in the first act. The trick is that you need to save gold to buy units that you can spawn in battle. I recommend trenant and guardian. Then you need to research werewolfs asap and 1 & 2 nd acts will be a breeze. This game IS good as long as you have the right approach and do not get put off by hard difficulty at first. The storyline is also interesting. I am about to finish the game and I actually look forward to the ending
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A disappointing addition to one of my favorite fantasy series. Poor AI, questionable design decisions, and a surprising lack of challenge mar the venerable Disciples pedigree. Truth is, everything that is novel about Disciples III was already in Disciples II, and the new stuff is basically a retread of features from other games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly recomendable! Demoniac turn based strategy with great artwork and lots of mythologic fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game! There are pros and cons to Disciples III - Resurrection. Initially I thought the game was going to be bad because of negative reviews here on Steam. I installed it, found the "normal" campaign start very tough as the experience required for your units to level up is higher than in Renaissance. I got discouraged and quit and uninstalled the game. But then, about a month later, I was thinking about the challenge again. How hard (and important) the first mission was. So I decided…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels so bad that i deleted it from my account! I feel like this game studio $$@ that released nothing interesting, ruined this franchise. Buildings - the same from Disciples 2, Creatures - the same names from Disciples 2 - only changed stats, crappy looks and some other stuff, Ruined - the hero management: - introducing some lame skill tree, - introducing lame cinematic camera in hero screen, - way harder to acces to own army from hero screen more clicking - tedious and useless…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FIX BUGS PLEASE !
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Take a good game and ruin it. That is what they've done here. Disciples II was by far superior.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Look, I am a 40 year plus gamer. I have played more games than most of you have ever even looked at or reviewed. The entire Disciples Series since 2003 is really fun and easy to play. With that said, Disciples 3: Resurrection SUCKS!!!! why, it crashes almost every single time you move your character... not just ever turn, but every time you try to do ANYTHING. THere is no fix. I have looked on Steam, on gaming websites, on review websites, ... it just doesn't matter. I dont' care how great…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Same story as Disciples III - Renaissance. Game breaking bugs: Every so often the game gives you random black hexes where you cannot see what is there, basically breaking your map. If you go into battle, the game crashes after the battle, so you have to repeat it or exit the game when the black hexes appear and restart. Truly not in the mood to do this all over again after renaissance. On the plus side, gameplay, graphics etc. would be 7/10, a good game in its core but the bugs will not let…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was left unfinished, company bailed. This build of the game can be called beta version at best. So sad my favourite franchise died.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as incredible as D2 but still keeps me intereested in the franchise for a possibility of a fourth
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this on sale. Feels like an unfinished, unpolished game. Played it for a bit, but was so bored I am not sure if I'll play again. Graphics are, at best, passable. Mechanics are confusing and lack coherence. The voice acting is HORRIBLE (I never notice this kind of stuff normally, but this is just pathetic).
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stick to Renaissance. The game is pretty much unplayable thanks to an astonishing number of crashes (considering how far the gaming industry has come since the 90's). The game itself gets extremely boring after just an hour of gameplay as there are very few differences between fights, only a bunch of characters, and leveling is as slow as it can possibly be. Overall it's a bad choice to spend your money on...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just to more add as a suggestion. If you can skip this game do so and play insted "Disciples 3: Reincarnation" since that game includes both context to this game and previous Renaissance and is alot more stable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is good but it does not work. It is not loading the saved game and freezing. It constantly kicks me out the game. Money trap like others. Do not waste your money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is glitching all the time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crash crash crash crash... even more... unnplayable
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad sequell . High expectations but most disapointmented, Bad story too.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please do not buy. Too may bugs that will never be fixed. No way to end hot seat games other than killing the castle dewler wich if you played any other disciple game you know its impossible or next to it. No depth. too many bugs. crashes often. please please please do not buy. I WOULD REFUND IF I COULD
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ouch, it really pains me to see that a title with such a rich and interesting history (Gallean series) suffered so much after the transition to hexagon open battlefield. The developers apparently thought that all you need to do is leave everything as it was in the previous games. The reality proved them wrong. The result is a bug-riddled game where gameplay is not fun (stupid AI) and full of unbalanced creatures. Okay, the game looks beautiful and is full of the series folklore, but nowadays…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just really can't understand how is possible that in disciples 2 was multiplayer and here isn't ! I bought this game with my friend becouse we wanted to play together. But reality was different. So if you like singleplayer game, I can recommended this for you. This game is similar to Disciples 2 and graphic isn't bad, but like i said, only hot seat support is not enough.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible with bugs. Wasted $20 on a game that crashes or just becomes unplayable if you change any of the graphics options. Gameplay is counterintuitive when bugs arent preventing you from seeing anything. Sad I couldn't stand it long enough to see all of the other bugs that people talk about.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disciples III: Resurrection, developed by Akella in collaboration with .dat and published by Kalypso Media Digital, is a standalone expansion that attempts to deepen and reframe the experience introduced in Disciples III: Renaissance. Set in the bleak and war-torn fantasy world of Nevendaar, the game shifts its focus toward the Undead Hordes, inviting players to command legions of revenants, necromancers, and cursed champions in a campaign steeped in gothic imagery and grim ambition. It is an…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unplayerble. constant crash, graphic issues, and worse the forced registration to their thirdparty program which is newly added and does nothing but take your personal data.. ridiculess
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels nothing alike D2: Dark Prophecy which i have on disc. Spent hours on that game, but this just feels sluggish and not even a skirmish mode. whats up with that lol. Disapointing dosent even begin to cover the feeling you get playing this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the ♥♥♥♥ out this game, not an original copy because i was poor af but i really liked it, yeah it has some bugs, but nothing that make the game unplayable , i love the undead faction so, yeah, i recommend it. Btw i don't even need to log in anywhere... so yeah. Cool game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes constantly. A shame, since I enjoyed the other D3 games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please fix it, this game always crash and black screen
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →played it for a few minute at some point and lost my "username/password" for the kalypso launcher. now i come back to it and OMG, i need yet another username and password even though i'm already logged into steam. games like this go in the trash. Im not going to spend time troubleshooting, or resetting passwords when my game backlog is so large and my playtime is limited.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →need to register to play a game that i honestly bought!!!!for what? no hotseat? better to play old good disciples 2!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like to play for 3 minutes at a time and watch the game crash, this is for you. Buggy as a mothf*cker! Stay away.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you had good memories from Disciples 1 and Disciples 2 then steer clear of this title. Still got major bugs years after release that break the game for me. That including graphical glitches, missing textures and game crashes among others. I've given the game many chances but it always ends in a crash to desktop, be it while moving, building a building at city screen, winning combat or pressing the end turn button. For my part Disciples 1 and 2 were unique games in style while Disciples 3…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Though it has some decent mechanics and looks good enough, the game has some major flaws. Its not newbie oriented, probably veterans of the franshise will enjoy it, but the interface its not very intuitive and you have to dig for quite some time to get the basics, which i dont mind but..... The game is a memory hog. I dont have the best computer on the market, but is an athlon 8320 3.5ghz, 8 core with 8 gigs on ram and a 450gts. After a couple of turns, the map turns yellow, i cant see a…
