60 of 95 · most liked firstBefore I write this, it is worth knowing that this game was supposed to be of much higher quality. Atari's inability to pay Spellbound (the developers) for 6 months meant staff had to be put off and this (basically) unfinished game was the result of that. This review nevertheless is about the steam product. Edit: Another warning is that there are some bugs with certain graphics cards. Apparently there existed (functional) view cones and although this is a minor point, it may make the game a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could have been a good game, but the developers must have misunderstood what people liked about the original. The focus is all wrong, the characters look and sound wrong and the experience is just wrong. Stick to the original and you will be better off
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Desperados: Wanted dead or alive is an epic game, indeed, but this sequence is pretty bad... The camera and the attempt of make a 3D game make a damm bad thing, besides, the developer screwed with the original dub!! Seriously, it's horrible if you compare with the 1st game! And ah, the plot is pretty weak... But ok, still is a Desperados, worth it for 2 dollars (and not a single tip more). [PT-BR] Desperados: Wanted Dead or alive é um jogo épico, de fato, mas essa seqüência é muito ruim ... A…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't understand all the bad reviews this game has received, it was by far THE best western game I've ever played and I've gone back to play over and over again..It's a bit dated now but still a good game to play...The storyline was pretty good and so were the game mechanics, I especially liked the stealth parts..If you take the time to understand all of the features of each character then there is NO way this is a hard game..Easy peasy and I've owned it since it first came out and even still…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Desperados 2 is the sequel to the successful wild west title Desperados - Wanted Dead or Alive. The gameplay is based on its predecessor but with brand new tactical possibilities in a beautiful 3D environment. Switch from an isometric view to a third person view whenever you want; for example, for duels, brawls and shoot-outs. The great variety of settings includes dusty canyons, ghost towns, American Indian villages and forts, creating a breathtaking atmosphere. Take on the role of up to six…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Guess we all know that transferring a 2D game intro 3D may result in a complete disaster. Sure, it may put the series on the whole new level of epicness (like it did with Nintendo's titles from Nintendo 64 era), but still, there are always games like Bubsy 3D, Earthworm Jim 3D, Castlevania 64 and many, many others to ruin both your day and your mental health. Let's just admit it, if you weren't born yesterday, something like that happened to you at least once. You love a 2D game series with all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh sweet memories, this game was epic back on 2007 but time has been passing, this game is a very good combination of western, tactical shooter, action and some adventure... you will pass many enjoyable hours playing this game BUT although i use to love this game i had forgot how much confusing are the key bindings ,how quick this game can make you mad and that your characters in game are siting there and die ( you control at least 3 characters in every mission and they sit) I think this game…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ The only thing positive from this game is it has a nice music, I love the music in this game. - This game was full of major bugs that can ruin the whole gameplay experience. - My favorite character Pablo Sanchez was nerfed. He no longer could carry 2 person at the same time like in the previous game Desperados Wanted Dead or Alive. - Developers really hate Kate O'Hara. They give Kate the weakest gun in this game. - Using the same shooting mechanics in both mode (isometric and third person…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would be very glad to play the game, but i have grafik problems all people are completly black and some of them cant be seen at all (such a ghost). Have tryed to make the game working, doesnt help. If you see in the Forum for the game many people have similar problems. Cant recommend to buy the game. It doesnt meen the game is bad, its just doesnt working, so take care.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just play first one. Not this.. This is Cooper's failure.. If you are a fan of Desperados series, may be you can consider to buy it in big sale..not worth 6 $
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked Commandos and I thought this would be similar, nope.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game blows.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Desperados : Wanted dead or alive was epic, the charecter personality was well done. Desperados 2 : they ruin all the charecters, they made them act childish plus story was bad in my opinion. Buy it if you were a big fun but warning you will be disappointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately I have to confirm that this game is unplayable and broken on AMD graphics cards. Certain objects are visible trough buildings, trees,... It looks completely broken and is unplayable. People with nvidia cards might get a good game, but don't even bother getting or installing this game if you have an AMD card in your rig.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very very very horrible voice acting. Cooper's voice is nowhere near the movie-quality voice in the original Desperados Wanted Dead or Alive. And the constant annoying grunts by Doc McCoy... what happened with the developers? The graphics after changing to 3D looks disjointed and not....solid.... can't explain it. The increased animation frames look smooth but at the same time made the gameplay feel slow. Pros : But sometimes feels nice to go to 3rd person view. Feels like you are in the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only for gamers who doesn't want to have a gap between the first and the third installment (like me). This game lacks of an interesting campaign, bugfree gameplay and demanding missions. After the first game this feels like a undone project, alas a downgrade in every aspects.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first in the sequel was addictive but this one is not at all. The 3d port is not a success story but the most important thing is that the game looks like a horror story because of some unresolved graphics bug. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh god. Heavy visual issues. You see through many floors of one house. You also do not see the cans, which you should shoot for your introduction. The videos are many pictures with background sound. This is intended. The game itself feels really bad. In my view not with love produced. No..., please no. Don't purchase this really bad follow up of the legendary Desperados 1: Wanted Dead or Alive. The steamversion of Desperados 1: Wanted Dead or Alive, got an update and is now fully fluidly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game. Intresting story. Some bugs...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a disaster. I'm a fan of Commandos-like games and really enjoyed the first Desperados, but this one disappointed me, it's completely different. The creators introduced a full 3D first-person-view but neglected many other mechanics. Usual "bait, knock out, tie up and hide the body" tactics are tedious now, because every action is incredibly slow and they often bug out (this game is quite janky, seems unfinished). As a result you get a weird shooter (enemies often see and shoot…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cooper's Revenge is an alright game but it's definitely not Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive. The soundtrack and the the voice acting is lacking compared to the first game. The AI is also pretty dull and unresponsive for the most part. The gameplay is somewhat similar to the first game but not as satisfying. I personally liked the addition of first person mode but this addition has negative effects on the gameplay as you can literally finish each level with a single character. Teamwork is not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Desperados 2: Cooper's Revenge" is a masterful blend of real-time tactics and stealth gameplay, set in the gritty Wild West. Its engaging story, memorable characters, and challenging missions make it a must-play for fans of the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes it runs in win 10. To zoom out farther go to game folder data > configuration > game > settings there change the fov as you like. Tips for stealth: you have to be standing before knocking someones out, because the transition between crouch or prone to stand and perform the knockout action takes longer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR I used to love the game as a child, but I've clearly forgotten how masochistic you have to be to enjoy the infuriatingly slow and wonky animations and zergling swarms of aimbot enemies. Can't really recommend the game even to those whole liked the first game, and certainly not to people who started with the latest third game that has far more polished gameplay. Story The brother of the main character from the first game gets murdered, so the main character sets out on a quest to stop a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →wanted to try for a long time, played the first game when a kid. I did the first mission but this is just horrible 3D, should have kept same style as first game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you loved Desperados Wanted Dead or Alive you will hate Desperados II. Although the music sounds almost relaxing and the graphics were definitely an improvement at the time this game got released, far too many things are not pleasant at all. For example, the characters look and sound far too different compared to Desperados 1 and especially the game controls and AI are against all human logic or intuition. The latter makes the game unplayable in my view. Surprisingly enough, Helldorado…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Did you like Desperados 1? Then STAY THE F*** AWAY! This flaming t**d of a game is not at all similar to the first game. This is a potato quality FPS and has nothing to do with strategy! As a FPS game this game still falls way short. The NPC's are blind as rocks in the stealth parts of the game, and you seem to shoot paintballs around tons of invisible walls. Not fun at all. 2/10 stay away
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All the graphics are messed up, couldn't even finish the first mission. Someone should remake this, otherwise I don't recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horrible game play. Couldn't force myself to play through the first 3 levels. Trust me, just replay Desperados; you'll be much happier.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Waste of time and money , this is nothing like first game , lots of bug and ai is more stupid. Don't waste your time on this crap get first game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nope, average story. Bugs still present after so many years. Not good at explaining things. Unless it is on deep sale, S T A Y - A W A Y
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →kinda wonky game think Commandos but wild west setting.....yet you can also play it in fps mode where all your guns are 1 hit kills..... meh, i had fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed the first game in the Desperados series (Wanted Dead of Alive), but this game not so much. It was made during a time when everything was moving to 3D, and the game suffered from the transition. The charm of the isometric levels was lost and everything was harder to control. I didn't find the story or the gameplay as engaging as the first game. If you enjoyed the first game, I'd say skip this game and go straight to Desperados 3, where the game went back to its roots.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Desperados 2: Cooper's Revenge is an ancient 2D stealth/tactical game similar to Commandos, but set in the Wild West. A reasonable concept, but sadly the game is simply far too dated. On launching, the game seizes your desktop resolution and sets it very low. There's no widescreen or HD support, the game displays 4:3 stretched, and there's no indication the developer intends to fix this, despite still selling it on Steam. The game is simply too old and with too many flaws for me to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never played the original one but this is a great game and should not have only 44 percent positive reviews ( at time of writing) the story is quite interesting, I have no problem with the gameplay in fact I think it fits perfectly. So if reading this rewiew made you at least a bit interested then try it out, for me it was a great nostalgia trip.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Also See: my reply to This game is actually REALLY GOOD! It's a shame sh*# bags that have played for less than 1 freakin hour have to throw in their 2 cents. If you like Western themed movies or games you will ACTUALLY LOVE this. A little buggy, but who cares, for the experience its worth it. This style game is not for everyone, IF YOU MUST PLAY a CALL OF DUTY or FORTNITE this game is not for you. Patience, strategy and tactics. But I love the 3D/third person view for game play and really…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Desperados 2: Cooper’s Revenge, developed by Spellbound Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic, is a real-time tactical strategy game that immerses players in the rugged and lawless world of the American Wild West. Released in 2006 as the sequel to Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, the game builds upon its predecessor by introducing fully 3D environments while retaining the core tactical gameplay that emphasizes planning, stealth, and precision. Players once again step into the boots of John…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very buggy, could not finish the first level due to bugs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The very first mission is totally unclear. You're supposed to shoot the cans but you simply can't because the bloody colt crosshair can't focus on the bloody cans> haven't got time for such a piece of ♥♥♥♥!!!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →load of crap have to keep reloading game cause characters get stuck going through doorways .
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →VOICE ACTING HAD CHANGED FFS. GAMEPLAY IS THE WORST. COMPARED TO THE FIRST GAME, THIS IS JUST A PIECE OF GARBAGE
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of bugs, crashes, and moreover doesn't run on widescreen. They could give the treatment that Desperados 1 received for Windows 8 and 10!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is way worse that commandoes to be honest. And I just passed the time for refund, FUKC
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stay far away from this game for now if you have an AMD centered build, non-stop stutters/graphical glitches while in Action View/third person and is what I encountered mostly now after moving from NVIDIA to AMD, and also not to mention that there is NO patch or fix that exists out there on the internet. The only ones that could fix this is the developers themselves and even that in itself is a far-fetched thought since the devs themselves on their own Discord have seemingly abandoned this game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the prequel multiple times when i was a kid and always wanted to play the sequel, but couldn't cause it was massively bugged and never worked. Now i finally got to play it and its definitely not better than the first game. A 4/10 at most.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably one of the only people who kinda liked it. I dont know but with this much negativity my expectations were completely at the bottom which is probably why i ended up enjoying it a bit. Stiil kinda bad though half the game simply does not work, as you are more sneaky by running up to a guard by running than approaching him by crouching, and your lifebar is nonexistant as unlike oher desperados games where you atleast have a second to do something once a guard sees you here you get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of bugs in the code, but this game has more of an Old West vibe than the other games in the series.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finished it but can't recommend it for multiple reasons. The first Desperados game is way better than this piece of junk. The only positive thing I could think of compared to the first game is automatic backup saves for quick saving. It can save your day if you accidentally made a quick save on a dead-end situation. And anyone playing a Desperados game knows that quick saving is very essential. Then the bad things... The biggest issue is that this game doesn't feel finished. The idea of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →30 mins in ... This game feels like a cheap knock-off of the original (Desperados 1). - The graphics being 3D isn't better, the original was/is refined and polished but this feels so hastily patched together that it's just not interesting. There was a certain style and environmental noises that added to the eholr rcprtirnvr - The voice acting is very poor and lacks personality/enthusiasm so it's very hard to get engrossed in the universe. - The camera controls and ability to move camera angle…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the game where they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, but it's still a good game (not as bad as was commandos strike force change), as some mention, this game can be best compared to commandos 3. I've played this game a lot (much fun to mess around in that soldier fort mission, this game has those nice physix where model gets stretched out good); I prefer helldorado, that's where they upgraded gfx and overall stability. Get it in a pack on discount
