Shadow Gambit Speaking of my favourite games from last year, I still can't recommend Shadow Gambit highly enough and deserved so much better, a stealthy strategy murder-puzzle in the vein of the old Commandos/Desperados games with an undead pirate crew. store.steampowered.com/app/1545560/...
unlabelledView post →Great game from the Desperados III team. Sadly overlooked and so the studio ended up closing up because there seemingly wasn't a market for them. Well worth picking up.
unlabelledView post →Iron Harvest was one of the best modern RTS games, set in the same universe as the Scythe boardgame, and handing these devs the Dawn of War IP? That's like when they gave Desperados to Mimimi, a perfect fit. Colour me very, very intrigued. store.steampowered.com/app/826630/I...
unlabelledView post →Desperados 3 is a tremendously good strategy game, I think I recommend one of Mimimi's stealth tactics games nearly every steam sale, but for damn good reason. Nobody did it like them. Take your posse of cowpokes on elaborate murder-puzzle stages in a genuinely epic revenge narrative.
unlabelledView post →27. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun With this game, developer Mimimi singlehandedly resurrected the stealth strategy genre that started with the likes of Commandos and Desperados, and it's every bit the successor to that legacy you could ever desire, nobody did it quite like them. Play it!
unlabelledView post →This game is incredible, as is the same crew’s Desperados 3 and Shadow Tactics. No one, and I mean no one, has done realtime stealth tactics better than Mimimi.
unlabelledView post →There's the best deal yet on Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew + DLC. Probably the best stealth-tactics game (Commandos, Desperados, etc) of its kind. There may not be another like it, as the studio disbanded immediately after release. Really fun Ghost Pirates versus Magic-Hating Inquisitors setting.
unlabelledView post →Bought a new game (for me). Desperados should be called Isometric Beauty.
unlabelledView post →Today’s Black Video Game Character: Isabelle Morale (Desperados)
unlabelledView post →Random shoutout time! Any Desperados III fans out there? It was probably my 1st tactical stealth isometric game since Commandos 2, and I was surprised at how solid the gameplay and story were. Sucks that Mimimi closed doors. But I still a couple of their games in my backlog waiting to be played.
unlabelledView post →02 - Desperados Always been a wild west fan & this released when I was 14 and had my 1st computer. First ever game I owned the original of. I still remember all the great times I had with this, also playing with my bestie again years later! Hiding maaaany bodies in small shacks was our fav thing X'D
unlabelledView post →Well that was a successful ambush - game 1 to the Desperados!
unlabelledView post →They should make a Commandos/Desperados style strategy game about fighting other people for bargains on Black Friday or somesuch
unlabelledView post →📿❄️Schedule Time📿❄️ This week in the monastery: - I'm finally doing more game streams! Any and all games are on the table. - The Valley tackles the Desperados #ttrpg - and I pay a visit to Maki's neck o' the woods to talk anything and everything! #ENvtuber #vtuber #vtubersupportbeam
unlabelledView post →This Saturday, who doesn’t like a drinks offer?!? 🍻 11am-2pm & during game! Desperados - whilst they last. See you Saturday from 11am! #everton #newcastle #EFC #UTFT #COYB
unlabelledView post →Desperados 3: Nobody has played or heard of this game but it rules and I've sunk sooooooooo many hours into it. I would never have thought I'd have been so into a stealth-based game, but it really plays like a series of fun, interesting puzzles.
unlabelledView post →But most heist games opt for greater focus on execution than planning. PAYDAY is more of an action game than a stealth game, and Monaco is a frantic, multiplayer arcade experience. Even slower-paced games like Invisible Inc and Desperados III only let you plan a couple of steps in advance.
unlabelledView post →Home made curry (reheat its Friday but it was good) then losing myself in Desperados III trying to unpick its large levels into small solvable chunks And not wonder about how to make an RPG focused on stealth and distraction that mimics it rather than the usual big fight game
unlabelledView post →Back to the indie section because I want to actually play games instead of queuing and I come back to an absolute banger. "Prohibeast" is a top down real time stealth game with pause (see Desperados) starring animal people during the American prohibition era. #Gamescom2025 #GamescomPoodle2025
unlabelledView post →Was so sad that Mimimi shutdown after this game as it was the first I’ve played from them. Desperados 3 is next after Expedition 33
unlabelledView post →Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream from River End Games and @nordcurrentlabs.bsky.social. Never heard of this or the dev/pub but WOW. It's a top-down stealth action game like Shadow Tactics or Desperados, but in a fictional world that feels like A Plague Tale. Incredible voice actin and plays great.

unlabelledView post →www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfmu... The studio behind Blasphemous going for a tactical stealth game is definitely a choice, after Mimimi Games, the studio behind Shadow Tactics: Blade of the Shogun, Desperados, and more, closed down after their last game.
unlabelledView post →Yeah, I could see it being like XCOM or more of a Commandos/Desperados-like stealth tactics game with permadeath. Sad that Kill the Justice League probably destroyed the prospects of WB ever greenlighting another Suicide Squad game.
unlabelledView post →store.steampowered.com/app/2377280/... (wl) Has steam demo. Isometric and narrative driven stealth game. The stealth works similiar to Isometric mimimis "Shadow Tactics"/ "Desperados 3" - or like older Commandos. But more narrative.
unlabelledView post →Looking at the Deep Discounts, Desperados 3 is on sale for like 3 bucks, that game is siiiiick, and Doom Eternal, Elite Dangerous if you like space sims, and Monster Train for card builder rogue lite.

unlabelledView post →It's very much not that kinda game, it's a stealth tactics game like Commandos/Desperados
unlabelledView post →Someday we'll get a new #Desperados game. Until then, I'll be in my lodge, writing my fanfics.
unlabelledView post →That's basically what nya did through most of the 2000's, just a decent enough PC to kinda run TF2 and other source games, and then just a bunch of emulators, indie games and probably also some 10€ PC game like the first Desperados
unlabelledView post →Took at short break from Days Gone to play Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew for a bit Fantastic game just like Shadow Tactics and Desperados 3 Obviously shares the same spirit and style but honestly the magic pirates makes it feel very different🥰 Also love that save scumming is lore now 😂
unlabelledView post →I had a great time with Desperados III. It's an old-west stealth strategy puzzle game. If you know the original, this is a perfect prequal. The characters are very cliché, but it fits the genre.
unlabelledView post →I hold these stealth strategy titles close to my heart: Shadow Tactics, Desperados III, Shadow Gambit, and Sumerian Six. Three of them are from the now-defunct Mimimi Games. It's honestly one of my favorite game genres.
unlabelledView post →ERIKSHOLM: THE STOLEN DREAM looks great, and using stealth and character-swapping to solve puzzles makes me wonder if this is DISHONORED by way of DESPERADOS. I personally prefer the isometric view for games of this nature (as opposed to first- or third-person); hoping this one lands!
unlabelledView post →TL;DR She heals and snipes. Amariel wouldn't be a sole protagonist, but part of the team the player controls. The game itself would be a real-time tactics title akin to Desperados/Commandos. Both her kit and demeanour would be similar to those of Doc McCoy from Desperados III.
unlabelledView post →The C64 game They Stole a Million always fascinated me so when I came across a Let's Play of Killers & Thieves. I thought of making a heist game that is a stealth strategy, like Desperados or the more recent Shadow Gambit. So I spent this morning coding a 2D FOV visibility test.
unlabelledView post →Shout out again to Mimimi, because in this game, the best (broken) character in the game practices Voodoo. Not only is Desperados III an excellent Commandos-like, but that character is worth experiencing and looking forward to unlocking. store.steampowered.com/app/610370/D...
unlabelledView post →I freakin’ loved Mimimi’s take on the Desperados franchise and adored Shadow Tactics, too, so much so that I have no qualms recommending this game unplayed.
unlabelledView post →Currently playing Desperados III, a wonderful stealth real time strategy game. I’m not sure I’ve ever done as much quick loading in a game before, but it’s enormous fun. The top-down view makes it feel like playing in a toybox of clockwork miniatures. store.steampowered.com/app/610370/D...
unlabelledView post →Yeah, attritional combat with either emergent or embedded narrative definitely seems like it’s more our speed: even though we have a soft spot for something like Desperados, it feels more freeing to have the game go “You *are* going to get hurt…what are you going to do about it?”
unlabelledView post →Crap, forgot alt text. A game map from a 90s game called 'Desperados'. It's a fictionalized version of wild-west El Paso. A train station is in the center of the image, a church in the top right, and a fort in the top left.
unlabelledView post →this is me and that one Robin Hood game that played like a Commandos/Desperados game and that everyone else said was bad
unlabelledView post →Grab Desperados III for just $9.99 (75% off from $39.99)! With a Metacritic score of 86, this tactical stealth game is a must-play. Don't miss out on this deal! unlabelledView post →The first of Mimimi Games' pausable-realtime strategy games, Shadow Tactics: Blades Of The Shogun (store.steampowered.com/app/418240/S...) is still a really great example of the genre even if Desperados or Shadow Gambit might be more polished. 36/52
unlabelledView post →My Steam refund came through, so I took my $20 and bought Desperados 3 and Wrestling Empire. I figure I owed Matt Dickie a few bucks after so many years of playing the free versions of his wrestling games. And a wild west tactical game sounds fun as hell.
