60 of 170 · most liked firstI really had no clue what to expect from this, I won it on Steamgifts and entered merely because it looked interesting and I am usually willing to give anything a try. I was not at all disappointed! This really is a lot of fun especially if, like me, you are competitive against your previous scores. It has that awesome "just one more" feel to it as well as loads of ways you can modify and switch up your arsenal and strategy for each stage that gives it a bunch of replayability at a good…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cannot recommend this game as the fun diminishes quickly The last campaign is not tower defense at all but feels like a platformer Many missions you have to play ONLY one way which diminishes the enjoyment of the game Beginning was very fun for sure but it gets annyoing on hard difficulty when the last campaign is a platformer

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heya folks, here's a short featuring the playtest for Legend of Defenders, an upcoming incremental tower defense game This one was a request, and it took over 2h to reach this point in the demo. It honestly kinda reminds me of CastleStorm #legendofdefenders #videogames #indiegames #shorts #gameplay
unlabelledView post →The pros: Chilled, goofy vibe with charming music and visuals. Satisfying gameplay, particularly ballista headshots, multikills and castle demolition. A surprising variety of mission objectives with multiple different ways to complete them, decent progression, and a reasonable challenge when played on 'hard' difficulty. The cons: A minority of the missions feel like filler that could have been omitted without any negative effect on the pros. Online multiplayer is empty. The unexpected:…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really enjoyable, I sank a lot of time into it back on the PS Vita and I saw it for cheap, its been great to play again, like a mixture of angry birds and a tower defence game. A lot of fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →right off the bat it's trying to be 3 games at once and kinda fails at being any of them you can kinda build your own tower but from what i can tell anything past 1 of any kind of room. doesn't do anything, other games give you limited recourse. Why not make it so each knight room auto spawns a knight every BLANK amount of time. Letting the player build different castles and try new things when playing the same levels over again Most things are time sensitive and swapping from spawning…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →CastleStorm – Medieval Chaos With Weaponized Sheep CastleStorm is what happens when someone mixes Angry Birds, tower defense, light RPG elements and a dumb medieval comedy – and then actually ships it. You build and customize your own castle, then spend the rest of the time destroying someone else’s. You’re constantly juggling three things at once: Firing a ballista with increasingly ridiculous projectiles (standard bolts, explosive shots, and yes, weaponized sheep). Spawning troops that…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is subarashi, played it back on Xbox 360. I had to buy it on PC, best of the best.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game originally in 2013 and quickly realised it was a nice looking game but very repetitive. I tried it again this week and its still the same no improvements still repetitive as hell.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR CastleStorm it's all fun and engaging until you step into the viking realm and you learn to swear as if godzilla is trying to chew off your head while playing angrybird in a tower defense game. What did i get myself into?! Non-TLDR CastleStorm (CS in short) is developed and published by Zen Studios. The PC version was released on 29 July 2013. It is also available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Switch, Wii U, Xbox 360 & Xbox One. According to Metacritic…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Needs the definitive edition. Other then that peak game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun old game worth it in a sale, just one minor issue, please let me move my window and stop centering my mouse all the time... and just let me use my cursor
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best casual games, with a surprising amount of depth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is just like those old flash games (which makes sense, since its from around that time too), but with way more content.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's nothing crazy; on the short side, skirmishes against AI usually take less than 5 minutes per map for me, the story is a bit of dumb fun, and the castles themselves aren't bad. I like the game for being something I can just put on and plug away at while listening to a video or something. It's simple but fun and I would've liked more content for it, but the DLCs I hear are pretty lukewarm at best.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has some great ideas and combines game types that I enjoy. However, the execution is just not there. Switching between your hero, hero powers, ballista, and deploying soldiers is just clunky. Furthermore, you don't need to use all three to even win.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite suprising how much content there is in such a low-priced game, and how many hours of potential - FUN! - gameplay. Truly worth its price. 8,7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →such a good game. When I was a kid a man came to me in a dream named bovas trinklet and he told me to get this crap. lets just say it didnt disapoint. OOH yeah.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I absolutely adore this game! It's the game that I always had with me as a child. The gameplay is simple, but very unique. The story is a breath of fresh air. It's serious enough for you to enjoy it, while still staying lighthearted and fun. These days, you need a beast of a computer to run a game that you have to play for 4 hours straight to make any progress, not to mention the loading screens. This is not that type of game. It's a reminder of when gaming was something you did to relax and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Made with love. Many funny details in the background and the animation. Smooth gameplay. Great value for the small money!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fast paced (finished game + most achievements in 10H), easy to grasp mechanics (although controls are clunky sometimes), simple story, decent DLCs (although a bit pricey), aged well. 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A mixture of one of those games where you spawn soldiers to walk in a straight line towards the enemy, and one of those catapult physics games. It starts off pretty fun but as the levels get more difficult the fun starts to wear off. Spawning troops that you can't really control and hurling boulders at the enemy is fun enough but some of the campaign missions are timed or have precise requirements better suited to a game with finer control and more strategy than throw boulders/spawn…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Castlestorm is a free mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a lazy, nasty cash grab. It's a mashup of tower defence/angry birds with a little 2D brawler component. Defend your cartoony medieval castle against the enemy, and use various siege projectiles to kill the enemy waves and destroy their castle. The game has nice graphics and is well polished. The problem is that while the game is a mashup of a couple of game mechanics, it's a master of none. Tower defence mode is deficient,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found this by accident, I had the Pinball game of this, and decided it might suit me and I very much enjoyed playing it thus far. I enjoy the casual aspect and humour and all the game modes etc. Much more my cup of tea nowadays. Cheers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the asking price, it's a fun tower defense/beat em up game. Despite the kid friendly art style, the challenge on the harder setting is actually fairly high.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first, this game seems to be a well made casual combat game. As I got deep into it and leveled up my two militaries, I found that much of it was not thought out and doesn't function very well. Sure, on the surface everything seems to work fine. I'll give you an example. The hero's military has griffins. They must be given a room on top of the castle to roost. This room is a convenient size to integrate into castle design. On the viking side, their military gets dragons as flying allies to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing! I bought it on sale for just 2$ and it gave me so much joy for 16 hours. Now I completed the game in 100%. In most levels you need to spawn troops from 2 fractions Kinghts or Vikings or using balista to complete the level. To win level you most often have to Destroy enemy's castle, steal his flag or survive for selected amount of time. The game isn't very hard but when trying to get 5 stars on few levels it is challengeing. I played the game 2nd time after 4 years break (I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun combination of 2D slasher and tower defense with gameplay similar to Angry Birds series. It also has mild RPG elements and the story mode is about 8h long. Overall one of the best games of its type.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ONWARDS!! This is a great game to just kill some time and chill. Run in and ruin ♥♥♥♥ and BAM! next level please.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Castlestorm doesn't really fit into standard gameplay archetypes - it draws from quite a few different areas and comes up with something a bit novel, and which is a lot of fun. You get a ballista, troops, dragons, trolls, exploding apples, and a homing eagle (if this is giving you a "worms" vibe here you wouldn't be wrong). There is a nice little (predictable) story, and some entertaining little quips (which you can skip once you've read them), games don't take too long, and the visual style is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A humorous but slightly grindy game. You control a castle with a giant ballista that can shoot various types of ammo. You can summon units onto the field to fight for you, and can cast spells to help you - among which is summoning your hero onto the field for a limited time. Most of the time you will be fighting against a similarly outfitted castle - where you can win either by destroying the whole castle with your ballista (or a specialised unit), or by battering down the door and bringing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I picked this one up after playing the mobile free to play version because it's a pretty cool take on the tower defense genre. Appealing graphics and funny moments help make this one stand out more for me. Do me a favor, do it, do it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good relaxing game. No need of too many controls easy game play and good story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Castlestorm features 4 games modes and none of them are very well executed nor is it a very pleasant experience when you switch between them. Highly repetitive and not very challenging. Feels more like a clicker game than what it purports to be.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dunno. It looked cool. But I only got 3 hours of enjoyment out of it. Poor QoL on some stuff.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I started playing this game on the X Box 360 and have always loved it. The amount of effort that went into this game has definitely payed off, from the music made by Water Flame (The same guy that made the CastleCrashers music) to the story made by the writers. there is no time that you will be playing this game and not having fun. 5/5 Stars for CastleStorm.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →CastleStorm is a cute little time waster of a game. It's a lot like AngryBirds+, with a legally distinct WarCraft aesthetic. Build your own castle, buy upgrades, etc. It's very casual and low-key and the story is silly enough to be entertaining. It's definitely not worth its current asking price, but on sale is definitely a good pick-up to spend a few hours on.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite nice. It is fun solo, but is better co-op.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →W game, brings back the 2015 vibes when we used to play this on iOS XD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are under the age of 7, or over the age of 27 with a sudden inexplicable urge to replay Age of War, this is the game for you. I can highly recommend avoiding it to everyone else.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →as a top 20 player (you will find me on the leaderboards) I felt like i should make a review. I first played this on the ps3, the game was fun but never standout. I would say it is a good game especially if you have friends to play with but in all honesty the gameplay can be an acquired taste. if you do decide to play and go for the leaderboard grind spam golems and healers. stack instakill projectiles as when ai strength caps at level 25/26 basic stuff will do nothing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So glad I was able to play this in my childhood
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the first times it felt good to use things I learned in school to get the win while playing a video game... In this case, geometry and physics. Base building, tower defense, and unit based strategy at it's finest and wrapped in a cartoony, yet well crafted, nice 2D art style.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →CastleStorm Review - by Aquax Pros: • Great Medieval Atmosphere with Replay Value • Diverse Game Modes • Appealing Mechanics (destroying, etc...) • Classes such as Healer, Damage Dealer, Tank, or Archer • Combination of Troops, Spells, and Weapons • Nostalgia • Great Quests • Mix of different Genres Cons: • Graphics may not appeal to some people due to their outdated nature • Unsatisfactory Competitive Mode and Matchmaking • Limited Storytelling • You cannot complete all achievements…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Castlestorm (2013) You defend your castle by deploying troops to fight on the front line and you help them by shooting arrows at the enemy troops. You also got stuff like rocks to launch at the enemy's castle to destroy it. You win by destroying the enemy castle or by capturing their flag with your troops. You have a hero you can control to fight enemy soldiers directly and he or she can use magic to help you in the fight. That's pretty much the game summed up. You can upgrade your units, the…
