A very nice point-and-click game. I can't remember one tedious moment. Progression in game was OK, not hard not easy. A well made game. From the AoM series I think this is actually my least favorite one. But it is only because of the story. The others have better stories. It doesn't mean you shouldn't get this one for a nice…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I consider myself an experienced adventure game play but I had my difficulties with this game. I couldn't colmplete without a walkthrough and it takes time before I cheat myself this way. Some puzzles are insane difficult or just monotone. Another point is that the dialogs are most of the time so terrible and illogic. But maybe that is due to the German translation. My main issue is that it completely lacks an intuitive gameplay you won't get in a flow of the storyline. I can't recommend the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bizarre, convoluted, nonsense story with plot-holes galore. Intensely insane and dislikeable protagonist. The puzzles are okay, except occasionally one relies on objects hidden at the edges of screens. Voice acting isn't very good, and the translation is obviously ESL. My favorite moment is when the lady FBI agent breaks into a guy's cabin with no warrant, beats him up, cuffs him to a support beam, and interrogates him. She makes fun of his career, then he mentions a "black guy" he bought the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad story, bad mechanics, awful dialogues, annoying puzzles. Decent visuals aren't enough to enjoy this. Worst Art of Murder game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game (I really did) and genuinely gave it a try... but sadly at no point during my 6+ hour attempt did I do so (literally not a minute). The game is insanely tedious, anything that can be dragged out seems to be so. For example, scanning a document. Simple, right? Use it with the scanner. Boom, job done. Not in this game, first you need permission to use the scanner. Then you need to open it, then you need to place the paper inside, then you need close it, then you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unnecessarily long dialogues, clunky game play (combine object a with b: wrong. combine object b with a: correct - why? sometimes you need to go into detail view first, sometimes it'll open it for you if required, etc. You spend more time wondering if how you did something is correct instead of what), unsatisfying end. I lost track of the story pretty quickly. All in all the game felt like a chore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While this is the most polished of all the traditional Art of Murder games, it still shows that the writers, voice actors, and puzzle designers are strictly mediocre talent. Backgrounds, music and pre-rendered cut-scenes are all well done. Ridiculous amounts of backtracking (although less than previous titles) and stunningly sloppy dialogue mark this game as the usual Eurojank adventures of the early naughts. I would normally have recommended this to others who enjoy this type of game as I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pros + improved graphic engine, resolution and inventory system. you can look at items 3D and rotate them in inventory. + great looking and detailed pre rendered graphics + well made 3D character models and animations + when you click to question mark, hotspots is highlighted. No need to hunt for pixels. + well made cinematic cut scenes + game does a pretty decent job creating tense atmosphere. + there are still plenty of different places including an abandoned carnival, a snowy farm, and the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good point & click game. Very nice graphic and adventure. Amazing Art of Murder series.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played many other point and click games, and I really enjoy the genre. But this game is very dry. I can't understand what to do next. So I had to look up a walkthrough, and basically get an item then go back to the walkthrough. Making the game awful to play. The hint button doesn't help what so ever. It only tells you what you can interact with. Which isn't helpful when you don't know what area or item you need to get.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Argh, I gave a positive recommendation at first but I must turn it to negative because of how extremely irritating Cards of Destiny becomes. At first sight it is a more polished version of the previous games, with a more ambitious plot and more interesting settings, and even some genuinely creepy moments as the one in the cinema, but there are several points that makes it unbearable, and those appear with more frequency towards the second half. The puzzles are mean and unfair. It is not that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Killer! You forgot the killer!!! Help, nothing makes more sense than starting a series on its third installment, right? Well, as it turns out, it wasn't that much of a problem. The good folk at CI did dump this one into a bundle by itself, so they would know it works fairly well on its own. And true, there ain't nothing like major spoilers or continuity aspects that would have left you confused and looking for answers. Other than repercussions that some characters you know close to nothing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i brought the package wish i had not now it has corrupt files and malware / trojan within the package as anti virus picked up and refused to download them save your money as when loaded unplayable as point and click wont work
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried to like this game, but in the end it couldn't be helped. Why a negative review for Art of Murder: Cards of Destiny despite its low price? For starters, some tweaking was needed just to get the game running properly. I had to fiddle around with the compatibility settings of the game application file just to get everything on-screen in its full 4:3 glory. Little did I know that this was foreshadowing. The puzzles of the game are pretty much like this: poorly balanced and unintuitive,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very relaxing and atmospheric game. The puzzles were great!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game 28 - Art of Murder Cards of Destiny: The third entry in the shambolic Art of Murder series. Drift queen of Havana and FBI agent Nicola Bonnet returns. Awful translation might make it worse, but the story is terrible and the puzzle design is just as bad. Pretty entertaining to riff on though.
unlabelledView post →It is a good adventure game, but a difficult one. If you miss the tiniest of details you are stuck. You think you tried everything but you missed one detail. Logic is not enough, combining items is not enough until you turn them around and try one more time. Can be very frustrating. So either be prepared to seek hints or spend a lot of time. My respect for anyone who can solve this one without any help.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The most fun I had playing this game was trashing it with my sisters. It's nearly impossible to get through with out a walkthrough, unless you take the time to try out every possible item combination. And even then she makes a comment each time you guess wrong and you have to be holding a specific object to use on the other one. The dialogue is bad, but I assume they just directly translated it, which may explain the poor voice acting, but doesn't excuse it. The plot is pretty interesting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My Saved games won't work... The mouse Icon is there But no sign of the Character & No voice Either when I TRY to Click on items... SMH!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Up to a point this game was pretty fun if rather challenging, forcing me to look at a walk-through here and there just to figure out what I was supposed to do next. That part, I could forgive. However, on the second mission at the amusement park I ran into a problem. Eventually you're supposed to use a vice to straighten out a piece of soft PVC and poke a hole in it with a nail you got a little earlier. That works well enough. However, afterwards, you're supposed to have a bent/twisted nail…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will recommend this game, but only for certain people. If you enjoy point and click adventure games with pretty tough puzzles then this game is for you. I did enjoy the game but then I fall into the aforementioned category. This game has pretty good graphics and I only had trouble once or twice trying to find clues. The interface is a little bit clunky but it functions well enough not to interfere too much with gameplay. You can tell that the game was translated from another language but the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Art of Murder – Cards of Destiny, developed and published by City Interactive S.A., continues the story of FBI agent Nicole Bonnet as she faces one of her most chilling investigations yet. This time, she’s chasing a serial killer known only as the “Card Man,” a murderer who leaves playing cards at each crime scene as a sinister signature. The story takes Nicole from the dark alleys of New York to eerie rural locations across America, unraveling a web of death and deception. At its core, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad mining games like the the folding code one
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is terrible. The worst part is the dialogue. Almost every line of dialogue and every conversation is nonsensical. Seems to be a toxic combination of incompetent translation and incompetent writers even in the original Polish. On top of the awful dialogue, the voice acting of the main character is not good at all, and they have her commenting on everything. So even when she's not in nonsense, long, pointless conversations, she's monotonously blabbing pointless comments constantly.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the third game of the Art of Murder series. While in the beginning it seemed not particularly captivating, because, as always, you find yourself in the middle of a murder case without really knowing what was going on, it turned out to be a highly interesting case with many twists. The quality of the game series improved a bit in terms of animation and voice-acting. I enjoyed this game more than the “Hunt for the Puppeteer”. The fact that this game offered me more than 10 hours of game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has a very well-made programming, there's no technical or buggy issue whatsoever. The background music is not amazing but it's good enough and the story it's a little clichéd. Puzzles are a little challenging. You'd be surprised how most graphic adventures have an easier way to achieve its logic. I really needed to be a little smart to pass through the game some times. In my case, I have a lack of observation sometimes so these kind of games help me to focus better on those.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I preferred this one out of the first three in the series the most. Some quite challenging puzzles, interesting characters and a lot more dialogue. If you liked the first two grab this as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fairly simple if you've played these kind of games before. The story is interesting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[yeah, right] is now my catch phrase... guilty pleasure...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd say it's the same review for the previous game: classic Point and Click adventure game. the focus here is more investigative about a mysterious murderer who's being chased by the FBI. 1- Graphics: 5/5 Pretty good graphics. I'd argue it has aged pretty well after almost 12 years now. even more beautiful places in this game 2- Story: 3/5 Average story line. you feel like you already saw that dozens of times before. 3- Puzzles: 3/5 sometimes seems pretty illogical. the type where you say to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, old fashioned point and click game. If you like this type, and mysteries, you'll like it. They make you work for progression sometimes, but that's expected. Great price point for hours of fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a no rush fun. this one calms my nerves. detective stories and games are my favorite. the main character is a woman.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you played the other Art of Murder games, this one is definitely worth your time (but on sale). It's got all the loveable jank and stiff voice acting from the first in the series. And the gameplay updates from the second, but without the inferior puzzles. Don't expect a masterpiece and just have fun with the final game in the series (because we don't acknowledge the fourth one, trust). Nicole is back at it again being Nicole and I love that for her. I will always remember my time with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesn't work and nearly breaks your PC. AVOID
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Potentially the worst point and click game I've ever played, and I have been playing them since the 80's. Terrible mechanics, dialogue is a joke, puzzles are vague and difficult to complete without a walkthrough because of lack of direction and the aforementioned mechanics. I finally gave up when I couldn't get past the map puzzle even with a walkthrough. Really sorry I purchased this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great old school point and click adventure game with a touch of investigation . The story is engaging with the tasks and puzzles to get you stomped. Taking you to multiple locations and characters to interact with this great game series is a must for point and click adventure fans. Complete others in the series and this one is coming to an end. Great purchase for a low price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well... It's a great improvement over the second game. Still there are some kinks but it's not a bad game. The progress is very annoying. So do I recommend it? No. Another case of a gray area. If you didn't know who is the murder 5 minutes into the game, you weren't paying attention... That made the game extra boring for me. Also, the whole story as to why this whole thing happened seemed utterly forced. I need a good detective game and fast after all this disappointment...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this is the best of the trilogy, it was a fun investigation. Finally, the FBI building is not completely dead, you got interrogations, too, a few suspects, and an interesting case with a decent ending. It has some crazy puzzles, though
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun point and click, murder mystery game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best of the Art of Murder series, Cards of Destiny got some really memorable places, like the trip to Louisiana. It has the mistakes known from the previous titles (interface, puzzles, translation, voice acting problems), but still it's a great adventure game, the player could feel her-/himself a real agent and I really liked the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is so clunky and the walking is soooo slow, it's not fun at all. I don't have other games in the genre to compare it to, but the forced fullscreen resolution makes it even less enjoyable
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not very clear game not very nice to play if you dont know objectives or what you supposed to do or look for very very very disappointed waste of money this game..............
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →These games are gems of the Point and click genera. I highly recommend you play the first 3 the verdict is still out on the last two as the original team I don't think return for those. Truly the trilogy is rich in story and content I did find I miss this graphics era of gaming since I feel it looks great, we get so much but do not need or really worry about our computers lack of space. 4GB is great compared to a game I recently play that had a similar style of game play but was 33GB because it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love playing Art of Murder! I practice reading and listening English while playing. I enjoy it very much! Thanks the makers for this series!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easily the best of the 3 games (well best of 5 really but we don't talk about the last 2 games) The nonsense and trial and error puzzles don't feature as much as the second game although they are still there to a degree. The inventory based puzzles are actually really interesting and there are actually some hints this time around which was nice. I think the story is engaging too, leagues above the first two outings, has vibes of the bone collector that Denzel Washington film from 1999. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know why my time is so high. I must have left it on while I stepped away. Not bad, but not particularly challenging either. Again, it holds your hands and there's no chance at messing up and having to go back/fix things.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It just wasn't for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it was a fun game, but a lot of the item maneuvering/combining/using can be wonky to the point of frustration
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There were aspects of this game that were enjoyable: Graphics were decent and the story line was interesting with some twists and turns. It also was not expensive. However, I found some of the puzzles to be overly complex and frustrating. The only way I could solve them was through the use of a walkthrough. I think it says something when the game's publisher has a walkthrough posted on the web. I also found the dialogue to be much like the other games in this series: stiff, unrealistic. It may…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not my cup of tea. The story is okay, but the gameplay is boring, the character moves very slowly, the graphics are old, the resolution can’t be adapted, etc. I won’t keep playing this game. But the price is fair for a basic point and click adventure game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hmmm what can i say.... i did not complete this game, infact do not play this if you are easily distracted, and you should probably take a note on what your needing to do for your next steps if you need to save it and reload game the next time you play it. i love puzzle games, i love crime games but i got bored with this one, i really was hoping itd have a bit more of a flow to it, but it got tedious. as soon as i have to look up a walkthrough for ANY game i kinda think is it worth it, it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A faithful creation of the art of murder series.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't really sure how to rate this, but overall, I don't think I'd recommend it, for only one reason. Gameplay was fine, graphics were good, puzzles were a little unbalanced (some too easy, some only solvable with save-scumming), which made the pacing a little awkward. My one true problem with the story was the main character was a... something I'm not going to say where children might read it. I think they were going for strong-capable/lone-wolf or something... but it came off more of a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm really enjoy this kind of point & click style detective game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game! Well done, without the repetitiveness often found in these types of games. I loved how I got to match fingerprints and search the database etc. Good story line with a nice mix of characters and story locations.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →REVIEW Last true sequel of Art of Murder FBI Confidential and Art of Murder Hunt for Puppeteer. A must have if you like FBI Confidential. Plays like Syberia series. The only rush sequence is the Laser Bomb in Power Plant. No crazy hard puzzle like the Slider Puzzle in number Hunt for Puppeteer. Calm relaxing mystery solver adventurer game. COMPATIBILITY This game works with Windows 10 and modern computers way better than the other Art of Murder games. NO crashing issue what so ever. Using…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun point and click adventure. It has great soundtrack. A few of the solutions are very dumb, but for the most part it's a great fun. Surprisingly, this game has a lot of filler which greatly increases the playtime, but it's a good thing. 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful graphics, mostly fair puzzles, thrilling soundtrack, characters and dialogues a bit under-developed, but a story which increased in tempo and tension and made you want to play to the end (an ending which itself was a bit weird, but nevermind). Liked especially the idea to regularly switch locations between the FBI central, where part of the game plays, to outside areas where the victims had to be rescued from deadly traps. Gives the whole 'being an FBI agent' an additional kick.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Отличный, качественно сделанный квест. Единственное, что раздражает - вся эта возня со сканером улик и базой данных.
