60 of 92 · most liked firstIf there was a "meh" option that's what I would give this game. There were some OK puzzles but for the most part this is simply a hidden object game with a Robinson Crusoe theme LOOSELY slapped on. I couldn't help but chuckle every time I would see a scene that would say something to the effect of "They have Friday trapped! Quick, find 12 feathers"... The images were interesting for the most part, but sometimes items are difficult to make out simply due to the clarity and lack of detail in the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not one of the good HOG's offered on Steam. This game has to be 8-10 years old as it has the resolution of other HOG's made at that time. Most of the puzzle scenes are poorly cut-and-paste photos and images and at full screen are highly pixelated. Makes for sore eyes and/or a headache to actually try and play. The actual resolution when not in full screen is about the same size as the Steam preview images and those are the only two sizing options available. It does have a few different…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short version: 54% Adventures of Robinson Crusoe was likely a fun hidden object game in 2009, but nowadays probably not even old-school HOG fans would enjoy it too much. Long version: Hidden object gamers most likely know MagicIndie as the studio that made one of the best HOGs of all time, [url=http://store.steampowered.com/app/302130/]Brink of Consciousness. And while it is commendable to show where they started at in 2009 with this genre, the decision to sell it on Steam is questionable at…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play as Robinson Crusoe during his time on an island, after a shipwreck: find items to build a boat, meet Friday... and escape cannibals! Adventures of Robinson Crusoe is what I would call an "old" game. Indeed, you don't have any story in it apart being Robinson Crusoe during his 20 years of stay on a lost island. You'll begin on the ship after the accident, then explore the island, then build your house, etc.. The game is a pure hidden objects game: nearly each location begin by finding X…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5/10 - 10 Minute Retelling of Robinson Crusoe and Hidden Object Game The game is pretty average to it's core; the actual story really doesn't do justice to this classic though. The bulk of the game takes place within hidden object puzzles. This game is a little older and it shows on some of the scenes. Objects can be pretty difficult to see unless you have a ginormous monitor. This game has approximately 30-31 different puzzles which average around 2.5-3.5 hours of game play. There is also a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Usual fair of older Hidden object game , may take a little faffing to get it to display well on your screen , go to options and set full screen. I had problems with my GFX card and hdmi on a Tv , so no fault of the dev , more like older non mode switching flatscreen and AMD drivers being the cause , and not the game per se. When these games sell for a few pence , up to a quid , I end up buying them to silence the missus , she cant get enough of HOG style big screen tv gaming through steam.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Semi-OK HOG, not too bad. Recommended only if you get it cheap. A 55/100 effort The good Occasionally amusing HO scenes Some challenging puzzles Reasonably well-drawn and animated Sense of achievement as you try to build Crusoe's boat The bad Some of the scenes and imagery have zero to do with the story and setting of Robinson Crusoe Minimal replay value Bland music There are better HOGs out there
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adventures of Robinson Crusoe is a Point&Click / HiddenObject game which is inspired by Daniel Defoe's world famous book. The puzzles are varied and range from easy to difficult. Not so good is the graphics, a bit old-fashioned, and the playtime is a bit short for the price, but otherwise a nice little casual game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dear Steam, please give us a "meh" button or stop the game reviews. The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe is a not-so-good-not-so-bad HOG. The plot is a simplified version of good old Robinson. There are lots of HO scenes . After each successful scene, Robin constructs some part of his ship. Most of the hidden object scenes are above par but after the first half of the game, it changes dramatically. In a scene you will be asked to search a "part of a duck". But what the heck is a "part of a duck"?…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite enjoyed this little puzzle game where you are stranded on an island and need to survive. Would highly recommend this gem to anyone who's a fan of puzzle games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Adventures Of Robinson Crusoe is a very old game, apparently originally released in 2009. Does it still stand out nicely almost ten years later? Well, nope. The gameplay is nicely done, the fetch lists have (some) logic, some unexpected events happen and playing Robinson Crusoe building a ship to escape the island he’s stuck on is really a neat idea. But the scenes are messy, the too low screen display resolution make the graphics really blurry, some items are totally blended in the…

unlabelledView post →Adventures of Robinson Crusoe So I spent last night completing this game. It tok me roughly 3 hours. I must say, the game has a very different charm in it. I thought I wouldn't like it because of the clunky and very outdated graphics but I found myself loving it. ✿ In Robinson's last voyages to the coast of Africa, his ship hit a storm so powerful it got him stranded on a unknown island. The morning after he knew he had to survive for the upcoming years. With his crew gone and the ship intact,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While not as good as its follow-up, I enjoyed this HOG a lot. The main drawbacks are a lack of humor (the sequel has a lot of nods to Monkey Island, this one only has the key dog, originally seen in the PotC ride), a slightly confusing story (even if you read the summaries on the left, some of the steps just don't make sense), and lower resolution (so you may want to play it in fullscreen mode). The main gameplay difference is that there's a limited number of hints available per chapter (not…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The good: the puzzles are quite interesting and not too monotonous. The story, however loosely based on the book, is OK. The bad: this game did not stand the test of time at all - the visuals lack details required for HOGs, especially when you need to find miniscule items. The lack of options to change resolution is also a huge drawback (my eyes hurt, thank you very much). There are simply better HOGs out there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thumbs down! I couldn’t get this game to run under Windows 10. The store page shows the release date as 2015, but I think that was when it was released on Steam. The game itself was originally released in 2009, so this game is over ten years old. It would be useful if the store page listed both the original release date and the Steam release date. It would also help to have a revision date as well to indicate if the game has been enhanced or remastered. Sometimes there is a big difference…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is inspired by Robinson Crusoe. The story narrated through pictures and text is only a general frame used for connection of HO screens and minigames. It is good idea but just it does not work in this piece. In my opinion the graphics does not correspond release date 2015. I am sure I saw better ones. Screens are generally blur and grey and items are very small. I had really hard time to find them because of the quality of the graphics and dark parts. My recomentdation is NO. There are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all i have to mention that i did not played many HOGames so i can´t compare this to anything. I have to admit that i don´t know why i played this game. Out ov nearly 1600 games i own i choose this to entertain me. I although have to admit that i had fun playing this game and therefore i would recommend playing this game. But let me tell you a few minor and major problem before buying and playing this game. Starting with the price tag, i got it thru a bundle so I didn´t spend much on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple and short, I liked the variety of mini-games. I don't particularly hate it, but I didn't really enjoy that much either. On the bright side, it's not broken! Confusing, but not broken. There are times where the solution might be way too out of the box. The getting honey part really took a while for me to realize how to solve it. For future HO devs though, please for the love of god, don't make droplets of liquid be an object to look for, especially when it's made to be so tiny and hard…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hmm this particular game is all hidden object and not much of a story. Not much of adventure like a few other hidden objects I've played. It hasn't been an hour and I am already bored with it. Then the curser moves by itself and points to nothing. I suppose it's suppose to be a hint but it's useless. Nothing is there. The curser moving by itself is a bit annoying lol. I like to see what happens next when it comes to hidden object games so I tend to play 5-6 hrs straight..this game just doesn't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even if anyone isn't completely familiar with the story of Robinson Crusoe, the original castaway who was getting lost at sea long before Tom Hanks made is fashionable, I'm sure most will have a vague idea of the general gist of it and what to expect with anything baring the name. There's a great game to be made from that age old tale, but unfortunately, this isn't it. In this particular outing, Robbie C plays a bunch of hidden object games to find parts for a ship to sail back home. It only…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2/10 - detail could be better - find 2 nails... microscopic in size and both completely different - limited amount of hints over the full coarse of the game - you can use a hint to help you with a two part problem and the hint shows you part 2...i already know that part!!! where is the other part?? - some items have dead spots you cant click on - after a few quick clicks your mouse stops working and magically moves away, ok but now i need to go back to clicking around that same item for the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a very meh hidden object game where the hints are absolutely worthless if you are stuck on a object that requires more than one step to get it. I couldn't get this game to even start on Windows, on Linux (with Proton 4.11-8) the only issues it has is that in fullscreen it would randomly crash on tabbing out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really torn about how to rate this, because it isn't a bad game, but neither is it a good one. It is an old school HOG, with some unfair hides, but it is mostly pretty much what you would expect from a HOG. The theme is very loosely glued on, the puzzles are mostly straightforward, with one or two really interesting ones (I quite enjoyed the Witch's hut for example). But on the whole, this is a decidedly average game. If you get it cheaply, it will fill a couple of hours, but…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An old school hidden object game based off the Robinson Crusoe book. If you like hidden object games or are a fan of the book, it's worth a look at. However I managed to finish the game in about 2 and a half hours so it's definately not worth the 10$ price tag. Get it on sale or in a bundle if it sounds like you might like it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even if it's a bit outdated, i liked it. It's simple, but fun, with differents mini games .
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven’t read Robinson Crusoe, so I’m not familiar with the story. That means, I can only judge the game in itself and not so much the story. (If the short version is related to the book though, I got a rough idea what it’s about and that is nice.) About the game: It is a typical HOG for me, with some nice puzzle elements thrown in. I choose the „difficult“ mode, so I had limited hints available and only 60 minutes to complete the game – that worked out fine for me, although I was kinda…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/10 Not a good example of hidden object genre, I wouldn't spend my time on this game if I were you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, developed by MagicIndie and published by MumboJumbo, is a casual hidden object adventure that reimagines the classic tale of survival in a format designed for accessibility rather than realism. Inspired by Daniel Defoe’s novel, the game follows Robinson after he is shipwrecked on a deserted island, chronicling his long journey of endurance, discovery, and eventual escape. However, instead of focusing on the psychological depth or harsh realities of isolation, the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Low resolution graphics are dated and make it sometimes difficult to see objects wich is the point of the game. But apart from that it's 5 hours classic fun. Only recommend it at very low price, unless you like real vintage nostalgic stuff.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey everyone and this is my review about the game! This is a point and click game. Interface/Menu/Settings Video Settings information. You can't change the resolution size of the game and toggling fullscreen/windowed mode crashed the game for me. Resolution size is small. Volume Settings Information. There is a sound volume slidebar available. There is a music volume slidebar available. There is an enviroment volume slidebar available. Miscellaneous Information.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth the time. The resolution for the game is poor and couldnt enjoy the game as the objects arent even apearing properly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice and short Hidden Objects Game. The only thing that was missing was a setting for screen resolution and steam achievements.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the "good old games" that I loved back in "golden gaming era". Deserves a place amongst popular Point'n'Click/Hidden Object games. 8.5/10, I still love playing this game in 2017.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's hope you're not stuck on an island with this game...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a “pure” hidden-object game -- no point-and-cilck adventuring -- that would make fans of the genre happy. The hidden-object scenes are quite challenging, and get progressively difficult. The few puzzle mini-games, often hidden-object oriented, are also satisfying. The only problem is the low resolution: it makes the hidden-object scenes even more difficult than they need to be. Also slightly annoying is some bad logic: some of the objects you need to find should not be found on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game because most of the puzzels are just hidden object puzzles. This game is not a mix of hidden object puzzles and 'adventure game'-type puzzels (if you know what I mean), like you see in a lot of modern hidden object games. And you can just skip all the story, if you want to. I recommend this game, but before you buy it you need to know: this game runs at a resolution of 800x600, which can make finding some of the objects difficult on a modern high-res screen. In short: Pros: +…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly difficult Hidden Object game, which goes out of it's way to make things difficult for the player. For example, find a cat, but all you can see is the tip of it's tail. The game wouldn't run properly, and had to be played in windowed mode, which was small and made things even more difficult, or was black screen if I tried running full screen, even after applying the fixes mentioned in the forums. On the good side, the music and sound effects were fitting. The graphics reminded me…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Where to start. I didn't get me. This game is simply boring. Cons: - Low graphic - Because of low graphic point and click items are really hardly visible - Been playing 10 min simply clicking on the ship and looking for items, 3 times same puzzle (just different items) As much as I like point and click games, if that would be AT LEAST better resolution then I would play it. AND NO, FULL SCREEN FOR SOMETHING THAT IS THAT SMALL RESOLUTION with FULL HD monitor is PAIN.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Childhood memories brought back to life. My father gave me this game when I got my first PC, and after all these years I finally found it again and completed it in one sitting. What a lovely adventure and a charming story. I only wish it had a few more levels.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game forced me to put blackface on a poor, defenseless seagull within minutes of starting. Very awful and not cool. Don't support this insensitive game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Actually harder than I expected. I had to put my glasses on for a start. The game is easy to play and runs without issues. Resolution is low but puzzles range from simple to a little harder than other similar games. Story is good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would I recommend it? Probably not. Is it terrible? Not necessarily. The price is a bit much though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old school HOG, which nowadays is mediocre at best, mostly due to just how dated it looks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's alright...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, it's the type of game which you're not even sure how it ended up in your library. Hidden objects and match three, the "golden" standard of shovelware, this one being a hidden object game. Well, it's not so terrible for its type to be honest. There is more interraction than just the usual just finding objects and even puzzles, the game doesn't let you to just mad click every pixel of the screan to "cheat" your way through and there is some progress other conjoining the levels that isn't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite good type of riddles but game a bit boring and flat
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wish there was a middle ground option here when talking about a game. The story is reasonably interesting as well and it was intriguing to play an old school Hidden Object Game but the game's age means the graphical fidelity isn't that good so actually trying to see things is a bit meh!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →greatful game felling me insatlagia
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played with my 8 yo and 3 yo. They enjoyed it. If playing as an adult you can probably beat it in all of 1.5-2 hours so I would not recommend spending $10 on it. Wait for a sale or get it in a Fanatical Mystical Bundle or something. Unlike most Hidden Object games this one is immediate in the hidden object finding so it is more old school in its format. Has a few other small mini games like spot the difference or name that object but overall stays true to the classic hidden object game and is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old and below average Hidden Object Game. No adventuring, just hidden objects and puzzles on same screen. There might be some small portion visible of objects to click and some of them are real pain. If the art would even be true in spirit of Robinson Crusoe or surviving on island that would be fine, but we find Robinson's stowaway house having fireplace, bookshelf, coach etc. Friday's village seems like medieval english village, not tribal. There are better HOGs available.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the whole game and it's a fun little game. It would need a lot more polishing to be enjoyable though. Spoiler: it's gravestone. Not grave, not stone, nor headstone, tomb, or tombstone. Gravestone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No video options, no resolution options, Basics are not here. Although the premises and gameplay are good, and lots of creative puzzles, not being able to play in my native resolution was very hard on the eyes. So a big thumbs down for that reason alone.
